St. Peter House Hotel - New Orleans

The Hotel is 2 blocks from Bourbon St and close to all the great sites. Hotel is clean and staff was very friendly.

The room was newly renovated and spotless. My only complaint would be the size of the bathroom. AT 6'4" with a 6'6" wingspan, it was hard to fold myself up to sit on the toilet. But the room was gorgeous, and for only a few dollars a night you can't beat it. Two and a half blocks from Bourbon...good staggering distance.

Great place to stay! Still rebuilding the main lobby area but our room was great. The room was great very clean and modern.

got there late, reception closed, had to wait 35 minutes for someone to show up. room was nice but 2 blocks from reception. neighborhood not the best. wifi didn't work. oh, and took 3 calls at various times to find someone who could see that i had a reservation

The stay at St. Peter's House was quite enjoyable. The room is spacious, at the least the one we stayed in during our visit. It was more suite than room. Hardwood floors, nice decor. Adorable courtyard outside our room. They were renovating during our stay, so it was a bit noisy. Otherwise, it was a great experience. I really enjoyed my stay at St Peter House Hotel. The hotel was in great condition. It was certainly New Orleans rustic (in a good way). The location was two blocks off Bourbon Street so far enough away from the partying not to be disturbed at night, but close enough to walk to the action if you desire. While in a great location, the room we were given was extremely small and in need of major repairs. The walls had not been painted in years, and the floors were very dirty. There was no heat in the room except a very small portable heater that we found in a closet. Our travel companion stayed at a plush luxurious hotel a few blocks away for $30 less […] per night. This hotel is very quaint and the brick walls are a very nice touch. I will definetly be staying here again.

At the edge of the French Quarter. REasonable hotel rates. Older property, but kept up. Very personable staff.

This is a boutique hotel, if you have never stayed in one you should prepare yourself b/c its different from your standard cookie cutter hotel. Ive stayed in 5star chain hotels and boutique hotels both in NOLA and Miami...I enjoy both and won't stay in a dirty or dangerous hotel. This hotel met our expectations we stayed 11/2/11-11/4/11 for our second […] stay in New Orleans and had a great time. We were taken to room 41 at first and I have to admit I wasn't thrilled with the shower or the room overall but I knew I took a chance with the low price I paid so was going to make the best of it (you get what you pay for right?) We'll they ended up moving us to room 31 b/c they made a mistake with someone elses reservation. Room 31 was much nicer and needless to say I was thrilled! Another thing to know...this hotel is pet friendly, in that the owner of the property has her small do in the office when you check in, so be prepared lol and they have a hotel kitty that roams the small courtyard from time to time. He's friendly and very cute but again if your not into pets you would probably not like that. The location is about 3 blocks from Bourbon Street and another 4 or 5 from the water and all the wonderful resturants and attractions NOLA has to offer. I'd definetly stay in this hotel again. The room is very tiny. No fancy technology - phone didn't work, didn't try the television - couldn't find a remote. But if it's just a cool (temperature-wise) place where you need to rest, it's perfect. It's not far from the action of Bourbon St, and it still has some less crowded bars near it, so it's nice and quiet. It has a very quaint feel to it […] and was perfect for resting and storing our things. Mehr

Friendly staff. The room is small and clean. The only concern is that the balcony is in need of repair and is in the process. This Historic Landmark Hotel is located in the French Quarter and is a convenient location which is near the action but away from the noise. I would stay here again because this property suited our needs.

My travels have taken me all around the world and this hotel had to be the dirtiest hotel I have ever seen. The shower curtain had NEVER been cleaned. Checked out a day early. AVOID this place. Spend the extra money and stay elsewhere!

This is not a five star hotel by any stretch of the imagination but it was perfectly comfortable and accommodating for our visit during Mardi Gras. There was more than enough room & the decor was nothing like the website shows, which is kind of drab to be honest. It was actually fun and festive. The location is very desirable. Although the staff at the hotel tried to be pleasant , they were unable to solve the problems we encountered. Our downstairs room was very dark with the headboard covering the only window. The room was not clean from dust on baseboards to handprints on walls. A hairdryer was not available until the second day. The furniture and light fixture were broken. […] At one point the circuit breaker blew. We did not expect fancy, but we didn't expect this! The hotel is in a good location and is historic. I stayed in room #47. I was there for 5 nights. NO closets..NO dresser. I had to keep my clothes in my suitcase. The room was disgusting. The window treatments must have been approximately 50 years old. They were dirty and stained. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY THERE. I cant believe the city has not shut this place down.

The location is convenient for walking anywhere in the French Quarter. Very quiet for sleeping. Courtyard entrance added feeling of security. Rooms were just the basics- similar to a hostel. Bring your own hair care products.

service et accueil impeccables. Placé superbement, très bon marché, largement suffisant pour un court séjour, assez calme équipé TV, WiFi, air conditionné. Petit déjeuner simple, mais compris dans le prix. Je suis tout à fait satisfait.
