Meine Erwartungen an das Motel wurden erfüllt - nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Aber was soll man schon von einem Motel dieser Preisklasse erwarten? Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig. Der Putzdienst macht seine übliche Arbeit - Bad wischen, Handtücher wechseln, Mülleimer leeren - viel mehr aber auch nicht. Die Lage war für mich optimal, da ich eine Unterkunft […] zwischen San Rafael und San Francisco benötigte. Ein Mietwagen ist in dieser Umgebung aber unverzichtbar, da die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel eine mittlere Katastrophe sind. Mit dem Mietwagen ist San Francisco aber binnen ca 15 Minuten über den Freeway 101 bequem zu erreichen. Mehr hab ich nicht erwartet, von dem her kann ich die Unterkunft im Großen und Ganzen weiter empfehlen. Wer allerdings mehr Wert auf Komfort legt, der sollte sich anderweitig umschauen - allerdings muss man dann sicher auch tiefer in die Tasche greifen... Mehr

While the room had new carpeting, furniture and bathroom fixtures, the walls were not repainted nor was the wood trim thus giving the appearance of being rundown. The worst part was the fact that there was no air conditioning -- only a fan on top of a table. The outside soft drink machine was broken. Ok for the price, large room, needs a little bit of maintance and had a strange smell maybe carpets need replacing. No continental breakfast.

The hotel is very convenient for my visits to Mill Valley, my only comments is the room has thin walls and you hear the shower and noises from the room next door, otherwise is affordable and I'll use it again on my next family visit.

Decent for a cheap place to stay in the area. A bit run down and for some reason the cops were there my first nights stay, but not sure why. There are nice restaurants in the surrounding areas and the national park is about a 5-10 minute drive.

Hotel room did not have a closet, so I had no where to hang any of my clothes. Room was loud and front desk person gave the wrong room key to someone, so they were trying to get in my room at 2:30 in the morning, which scared me. We had 4 people register to stay in the room and gave us 2 towels. There was no counter in the bathroom or a place to set […] my personal bathroom items. I had to put them on the floor. Mehr

This hotel is certainly nothing fancy. But for what it is and what it costs, it has a certain charm. While the decor of our room was a bit old and could use a make over, the room was gigantic. The manager (and her family... it's a family owned franchise, so they reside at the hotel) were quite friendly and helpful.

Superb location; wonderful rooms; highly recommend!

We got a good deal on this place for one night. It was better than expected after reading the bad reviews for this place. The room was spacious and comfortable, had a loveseat and coffee table and a desk, not bad for the value.

Worth it for the location. Nice family run place.

Spend another $40 and stay across the street at the Larkspur. I have stayed at a lot of mediocre hotels. This place is a real dump. Holes in wall. Mold in bathroom. Stains on carpet. Bad service by staff. Do you really need to hear more?

There is hardly anyone at the front desk, nobody answers the phone for front desk, when you check out you end up having to leave your card on the desk since they don't reply to the bell. No maids come to clean the room, you only receive 2 towels. The internet doesn't work.

Good things: Very big room, comfortable bed and very close to Sausalito, plus cheaper then all SanFrancisco Motels. Now the rest: terrible smell in the room, something you can't get used to. Things falling apart in the bathroom, walls badly painted with obvious spots of mold covered by paint. Brochure said free WiFi internet. Yes, there is signal but […] it takes 20 minutes to load a single website and after that it's useless anyways. I asked motel personel twice to have it fixed, they kept telling me to try in 5 minutes. Never worked. Next time I'm in the area I'm going to spend $50 more and stay somewhere else. Mehr

Motel seemed to be going through a remodel, but not sure. Beds were good, but bathroom left much to be desired. Hard to tell if it was clean. Trim around door was dirty and in need of paint. Overall not a good experience. Left after the first night.

America's Best Value Inn served it's purpose. It gave a place to stay close to where we wanted to be, which was the town of Mill Valley. It's right next to the freeway entrance and exit, but the road noise wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. The only issue with this hotel to me was getting in and out of the parking lot. However if you just need nice clean place to stay a couple of nights while visiting Marin Co. then it will suffice. Mehr

This is an older hotel which has been sloppily updated. The price was way to high for the quality! No heater & drafty rooms. BUT the down comforter was nice. I would've been very cold w/out it. I will not stay there again. I requested a nonsmokng room, but I could smell some smoke in the room.

My girl friend and did not even find the hotel first time by it. The room smelled, it was so hot the refrigerator stunk, the kitchen was like from the 60's, the continental breakfast was pastries in the office, the milk was soggy and had chunks, you had to pay for the coffee, the ice machine was in the managers room and when they brought you the ice […] to the desk it was one big solid chunk. My advice is never stay here! it was the worst suite I have ever stayed in. So nasty never again! Mehr

The price you have to pay is no where near the value that you get. I realize it's an expensive area, but dirty toilets, towels, carpets . . . any hotel should be able to provide cleanliness. Next time, I'd rather pay more for a better place.

The motel looks a little dated on the outside, but the rooms have been going through renovations. The rooms are much bigger than I expected, probably 600 sq ft or so. In the room I stayed in, the bed was comfortable, new flat screen TV, refrigerator, walk in closet, a couple desks, a couch, granite tile in the bathrooms, lots of space...overall it was […] a great value. This is an older hotel that America's Best Value Inn has taken over. The hotel is right beside the highway, so there is always traffic noise. Room was large but back door was sagging, leaving a wide crack open to the outside at the bottom. There was an ample walkin closet but it had only two hangers and an unpleasant smell. The toilet leaked. Breakfast […] items were available on a countertop in the lobby but coffee and hot chocolate were not replenished when they ran out. Weekday prices much lower than weekend. The facilities are pretty solid (marble floor in bathroom, carpets, bed,etc.). That may vary from room to room, mine (112)was quite nice, what I'd expect from one o two star places.

We stay in Hotels when we go to our daughters soccer tournaments. Because we spend little time actually at the hotel we look for bargain prices. The doors were not properly sealed and let in wind. Luckily it was summer and warm. There is little to no insulation in walls and floor/ceiling as we could hear our nieghbors above us and next to us night and day. The only good thing was it's closeness to where we were visiting.

You will hear traffic noise so bring some earplugs.

It's not fancy on the outside but we were suprised at how big & nice the room was inside. The bed was comfortable and we had a full kitchen with a full sized stove/oven and refrigerator.

El empleado de recepcion, un joven hindu con una atencion excelente y una actitud de servicio.maravillosa, me ayudo con todas las dudas y direcciones que necesite en mi estancia. Bueno precio, buena atencion y buen espacio. El autobus al aeropuerto pasa a unos metros del hotel.
