Seaview Resort & Spa, A Dolce Hotel - Galloway

We were truly happy with this last minute booking. In fact, we are going back this summer for a week. Highly recommend this, especially for the family.

My daughter and I came up to N.J. to see a concert at Boardwalk Hall for her birthday. The Seaview was just minutes away from Atlantic City, but away from the crowds and chaos.

For the price the accommodations were excellent. With a little updating this hotel has the potential to be a luxury resort once again.

Good price for NYE. The staff was great. Rooms could use a little updating. Walls were thin too-We could hear everything in the next room. Free Shuttle 7:30 - 2:30 NYE night was great.

Hotel needs Improvment

I stayed overnight for business and found an excellent rate here. The rooms were well appointed and extremely comfortable. I now know where I'll be staying anytime I'm in the area.

Want hotel away from AC yet close enough to be able to drive over for entertainment.. this is the perfect place. Its not a chain hotel.. even better. A historic hotel with good service in a great location.

Hotel has a feel of an era gone by. Great lodging at a great price 10 minutes outside AC. Would highly recommend and stay there again. Food was also great and staff very nice.

We were staying here overnight and the hotel itself was nice but it was an old hotel and you can tell that. The bathroom didnt have working lights that were over the shower and the floor is title and was very cold. Also the room smelled like old wood. The property was very nice though.

We have stayed here twice so far and both times we were extremely pleased! The staff makes us feel very welcomed, the room is perfect and the food is wonderful!

My stay at The Seaview Resort & Spa was over the New Years Eve weekend. I chose the hotel for it's proximity to Atlantic City and the SPA advertised by Elizabeth Arden. The first impresion upon checking was a completely unattentive staff, not at all proactive in assisting w/ luggage, or even the checking in process. During dinner Dec-30th, the bar/restaurant […] was without a server and bus-person, so imagine the serice quality. Although the hotel apologized, patience prevailed if you wished to enjoy dinner. I opted for the buffet (which I have to say to food was excellent) however had to dine in the bar, as seating was limited in the dining room. The only other management issue (shared with serveral other guests) was the Starbucks run through the hotel's gift shop. At 8am there was no coffee. The following day the gift shop was closed at 10am (for what reason....?) but opened 10 mins later. The prson working the counter had her People Magazine and Jacket on the counter so priorities might not have been in order. In terms of the hotel itself, I could use updating throughout. The property is obviously dated from the 1940's, the bathroom in my room smelled of mildew and new paint. Mehr

This hotel is a great find. The history of the site alone makes you ask for more. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The service staff was very friendly. Do not miss the breakfast.

What we liked about the hotel was that service was good. Very friendly people, also we had water pipe broken in our room but they came in 2 min and fixed it. We liked the pool, it was very clean and big, breakfast buffet wasnt bad at all. But the hotel rooms look really old and shabby as if they were not touched for the last 10 years. The Seaview Resort was peaceful hotel with beautiful views and elegant surroundings. I enjoyed my recent stay which included an impressive selection of resort amenities. The location was perfect and allowed me to explore some hidden gems in the surrounding area, such as Historic Smithville, which had interesting attractions for the entire family. Luxury is an understatement. My girlfriend and I had an amazing time at this resort. Carly the front desk attendant was so helpful and cheerful. She made you feel like you were right at home. The pool was clean. The beds are like sleeping on a cloud. Everything was amazing. I will definitely be coming back.

The hotel is old and had a moldy smell with several drafts from the windows. The heating vent system was harsh on the nasal passage, especially if you have a sensitive respiratory status. One good thing is that the linen/bedding were clean. Will plan stay in Atlantic city next time.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time staying at SeaView. The staff was welcoming and very nice about letting us specify which room we wanted. Room was extremely clean and spacious, and the King Bed was very comfortable. It's a 15-20 min drive into Atlantic City, but we wanted to be in a quieter area so that was fine. There isn't much around the hotel […] (drug store, etc.) so you would need to drive if you forget anything or see if they have it in the gift shop. My only disappointment was that they didn't have complimentary coffee in the lobby, and that there was only 1 packet of non-decaf coffee in the room, but I'm sure they would bring you more if you asked. Lovely property, full of historic memories of famous people who have stayed there. Don't miss brunch at Sunrysers a few miles down the road! Mehr

The staff was extremely professional, exactly what you'd expect from a resort hotel, but the prices were very reasonable. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The valet attendant never failed to call us by name.

Loved the history of the hotel. Bed was very comfortable. Thought the room size was very small. Bathroom was outdated.

The seaview is a great hotel to spend a few nights! I loved the shower we had in the executive suite, it had a stand up shower with 4 shower heads on each side so every part of ur body would get massaged. The only thing i wouldnt recommend is the food and the indoor pool at the hotel. To me personally i didnt enjoy any of it and for the price your better […] off going to a nearby diner or restaurant. The indoor pool didnt seem to clean either. The water was warm from what i felt but i refused to get in because it didnt look like it was being properly filtered or had enough cholorine. Besides thAt the actual stay was great. I would deffinatly stay at Seaview @ New Jersey again!!! Mehr

Dolce Seaview!!!! Wonderful facility, very clean, staff very pleasant!!! Location very wonderful, only 12 minutes away from the casinos!!! Was in NJ for a Jill Scott Concert at the Borgata!!!! The whole weekend was simply marvelous!!! Will stay here again. Highly recommended!!!

Hotel was pretty well kept and staff were helpful, great furniture in the room but as for the building itself,,,it's just too old to mask the old building smell. We were glad we only stayed one night.

Extremely elegant - off the beaten path a bit, but 15 minutes from casinos - get the best of both worlds - feel like you're at an elegant resort along lines of Greenbrier in West VA - highly recommend!!!!

The hotel was elegant. The people were pleasant and helpful. The room was small but comfortable. The parking is too far away.

Stayed here for the first time this past weekend with my mom and 2 sisters. We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. The hotel staff was extremely accomodating to any of our needs, We ate 2 nights in the Grille Room and loved the food. We are definitely coming back!!

Lovely facility with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The only issue I had was a bit tricky to get to with all the turns and some of the signs were difficult to see...NJ DOT issue not the hotel. Room 266 the hairdryer did not work. Otherwise enjoyed my stay.

I specified a upper floor room with a king size bed. I also requested not to be placed near an elevator or ice machine. The hotel gave me a room on the first floor across from the ice machine. They relocated my room down the hall when I complained. Also, people walking off the street with no reservation got a cheaper price than me.

The room I had seemed old and outdated. The sink bowl had scum underneath. The room apparently had a refrigerator but it was removed so it was just an empty space.

We visited family in the area and chose to stay at the Seaview, we would highly recommend this hotel

Last minute trip to Atlantic City. Casinos too expensive. Seaview was very classy, comfortable, clean and close. We will be back, especially now that my husband knows its a golf resort as well.

Very pleasant experience on an overnight stay for a business trip to South NJ. Well-maintained facility in a beautiful locale by the ocean, with attentive and professional service, and great food. Plan to return for a 2-3 day stay with my wife.
