Schöne Lage nahe des Strandes. Etwas entfernter vom Zentrum, aber Fussmarsch völlig ok. Z.t riesige Terassen, trotz Blick ins Umland Buchung erhielten wir in beiden getrennt gebuchten Nächten Meeresblick! Frühstück nicht beurteilbar, da früher abgereist- Lunchpaket nicht der Rede wert, aber ansonsten gerne wieder (eher für Kurzaufenthalt).

kein Kühlschrank keine Ablage im Bad Frühstücksraum wäre viel besser im Fitnessraum ganz schlechter Kaffee schwaches Buffet Empfang reagiert ganz langsam auf den Gast der Rest ist super

The hotel is right on a really pretty beach and you can walk along the beach (and through the rocks) or along the cliff top to the main town hub. The hotel offers Wi-Fi but you can only access it in the front lobby and not in the rooms or anywhere else. And it's not that great! The hotel is situated in a great location. Three minutes from a Praia Ana which was voted in the top 10 in Europe and believe me the beach is stunning. The hotel is also only a 10 minute walk from the Old Town which itself is very impressive, very quaint, not rowdy but with beautiful shopsm, white fronted buildings and little nooks and crannies. The […] town is just stunning. The restaurants are cheap and quality especially fish excellent. There is also a Marina which you have to visit with lots of activities (to purchase) ongoing. Would highly recommend Lagos and hotel while basic has the most wonderful staff especially Fabio as I had a little problem in which he more than helped me out. The hotel was close to the Dona Ana Beach which was a major plus as it is sheltered even when it's a bit windy and it's walking distance to the Ponta da Piedade Lighthouse from which you can take a boatride through the caves which was a highlight of the trip. My only complaint was lack of hotwater for a shower in the morning one day and the cleaning […] solutions they use are pretty strong so there is a chemical smell in the hotel. The breakfast was fairly good. There wasn't other snacks or food available there at the hotel which I found strange that there wasn't even a vending machine but there are some small stores and restaurants without much selection nearby and you can walk into the city to find more options. All in all I had a good stay and it's a good value for the money. Mehr

This is a comfortable hotel right by a beautiful beach. The price was cheap and the hotel staff friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the wireless internet signal was only available in a small corner of the hotel lobby.

Hotel has a perfect location straight above the lovely beach of Dona Ana,30 metres from the hotel. Wonderful place this beach! Just dont go there in high season,it could be overcroved. Room was cleaned every day..maybe just kettle and hairdryer was missing. Breakfast buffet was on the roof terrace of the hotel with beautiful view on the ocean. People who will decide for a halboard...-you can choose from two restaurants,not far from the hotel where you will have different choice of meals.One is situated just in the corner from the hotel,the other one is in town centre. Wonderful hotel located right next to the amazing Praia Dona Ana beach! Very clean rooms, friendly service and inexpensive food. I especially enjoyed being near the beach. It's a bit of a walking distance to get to the town, but worth it! I would definitely go back!

The hotel is just steps from the beach, with great views from the roof pool and breakfast terrace. All guests get a nice balcony as well, unfortunately we were on the first floor so ours faced a wall was covered by another balcony on top so the room was like a dark cave. Everything in the hotel is old and falling apart, the towels are ripped, there's […] mold and the TV is from the 80s. Good Hotel, Near Beach & 10 mins into town! Would recommend!!

Great hotel, in a great location right next door to one of the most amazing beaches in the world. The rooms are very basic, but you don't go there for the hotel rooms. Roof top pool with bar and breakfast out on the roof patio over looking the ocean. Will definitely go back

Our stay at the Carvi Hotel in Lagos was a delight: The hotel is rather simple, but extremely clean and very well situated: very near the Dna. Beach and away from the noise of the city. It's worth it to pay a little extra for an ocean view at this place. Wonderful view of the ocean. Short walk to the town centre. Wifi would have been nice in the room but overall it was quite nice. Breakfast choices are minimal but gave us some energy for the morning.

This hotel was beautiful and the nearby beach was amazing.

Staff lacked friendliness but spoke very good English and were somewhat helpful (calling taxi's, provided a map of city when I asked for one and allowed us to check in early). Beds were uncomfortable. Patios outside rooms were dirty and all grass/greenery was dry and dead. Included breakfast was ok. Overall hotel location was good, 10-15 minute walk […] to downtown, or taxi ride for only a few Euros. The location of the hotel is amazing and is the main and only reason to stay there. It is a 10 minute walk to the main city area and a 1 minute walk to the prettiest beach in Portugal.

The hotel was great, amazing location, great amenities, well worth paying to get the ocean view on the front side of the hotel. The beach at the bottom of the cliff another amazing feature of this hotel. you would think it would be much more expensive given the location of this place.

The staff was very helpful & zero language barrier. I was able to purchase tickets to events at the front desk. Breakfast was fresh. The best part is the view. Around 25 yards to the beach! 1 mile from Historic District.

We were looking for this year,a nice hotel close to the beach without any extra 'luxury' services that we wouldn't really need.So we booked at the Carvi Hotel,half board sea view room.Although after i read some bad reviews,which really frustrated me about what i'll see there.Luckyly the hotel was far from those reviews.To be honest we were imprest.The […] hotel is newly renovated,the room VERY clean,the staff very helpfull and the beach 50m. away,what else you need?If you book double room sea view half board,you have expect a basic room, breakfast with pastries,juices etc and dinner in an option of 2 restaurants,'triagulo' good food bad service,'sao gonzalo' you every day the same menu and the service is better.If dinne out be carefull,you might charged for thinks you did't order as the waiters pretent they don't unterstant english.For the next year i believe this hotel will be even better,with real value for money. Excellente situation, piscine au dernier étage avec petit déjeuner à côté face à la mer. (Par contre qualité du petit déjeuner : moyenne) . Et Il y manque un bon restaurant ! Manque aussi de l'ambiance le soir au bar. Nous y avons joué aux cartes, tout seuls dans la pénombre ! Mais sinon hôtel très bien et très pratique.

Vi fick vänta på vårt rum i 40 min, men som plåster på såren fick ett mycket bättre rum med havsutskikt.

Hotellet ligger ideelt hvis man vil ligge på stranden hele dagen. Det tager 3 minutter. Det tager ca 15 minutter at gå ind til den gamle by hvor der er mange restaurenter. Selve værrelset var lille, så ekstrasengen som vi skulle have, var der næsten ikke plads til. Bestil værelse med havudsigt, landudsigt var meget kedelig. Badeværrelset virkede næsten […] nyt. Städning på gränsen till usel , hissen trasig , vid förfrågan om reparation blev vi hänvisade till städhissen! Vi tror att det var en tillfällighet och rekommenderar hotellet varmt om man söker ett Vackert beläget hotell, utsikt mot havet, lugnt, nära till vandringsleder

Ligt aan leuk strandje door rotsen omgeven. Grote kamers, met wat weinig meubilair en een terras dat net zo groot is als de kamer. (Geldt niet voor alle kamers) Trappenhuis en gangen zijn wel erg gehorig, maar toch heb je geen last van andere kamers. Service viel wat tegen: we kregen alleen de eerste nacht (van de 4) zeep en shampoo en geen schoon beddengoed. […] Veel gemeenschappelijke ruimten en op het dak een zwembad. Carvi Hotel is no more than a 1 star hotel, YES call it a hostel! The hotel is worn down from 30 years of tourism, and they havent done anything to maintain it. The hotel staff was not very helping. The breakfast was my worst breakfast experience ever, extremely crowded, warm room and the sortiment was bad. Steer away and dont let the pictures fool […] you. You do not get much for your money. El desayuno me pareció muy flojo, para la calidad que se supone del hotel

El hotel en general está bien si no se es muy "delicado", es decir, nosotros hemos estado una semana y la atención del personal ha sido correcta. La habitación amplia, daba para el interior pero tenía una terracita que estaba muy bien porque no le daba el sol y no hacía mucho calor.La hacían todos los días, pero creemos que sólo nos cambiaban las toallas, […] las sábanas no. Camas cómodas, pero no barrían ningún día y dejaba un poco que desear pero para una semana suficiente. Como sólo íbamos a dormir y a ducharnos no necesitábamos más. La piscina en la azotea fenomenal, no había a penas gente y para un bañito a última hora perfecto. La playa al ladito, genial.Ló unico que el pueblo como a 20 minutos andando, pero también hay restaurantes cerca del hotel.El desayuno normalito, pero para nosotros suficiente. Sabíamos que no era un 5 estrellas con lo cual hemos venido satisfechos en general. Tiene un aparcamiento en la puerta, lo que pasa que es público y en las horas de playa está lleno, pero se aparca enseguida porque está entrando y saliendo coches constantemente.En nuestra habitación no cerraban las ventanas, se lo dijimos en recepción y esa misma tarde las arreglaron, así que el servicio del hotel muy bueno. Not the best hotel-experience. Large room, in the 1.floor. No a/c. Uncomfortable bed. The view from the room was directly into the neighbours lushy backyard. We didnt make any more fuzz about it, since we only were planning on staying there one night. Did not find the algarve area interesting at all. Lagos no exeption.

Reservamos um quarto sem vista para o mar, porém com ar condicionado (em agosto é muito quente). Chegando lá fomos surpreendidos, pois o quarto não possuia ar condicionado e muito menos ventilador. Fizemos uma queixa e no outro dia nos acomodaram em um quarto com ar condicionado (que casualmente tinha vista para o mar). A partir daí tudo correu bem. […] Aconselho que reservem quartos novos, os que foram reformados, pois estes possuem mais facilidades. A localização é perfeita para quem quem ir a praia, mas é longe do centro. A pé é demorado. Mehr

El hotel está en una situación inmejorable, cerquísima de Praia D. Ana, un entorno de ensueño ideal para descansar. También está a unos 15 minutos del centro de Lagos. El servicio del hotel ha sido muy bueno, los recepcionistas muy atentos y siempre dispuestos a dar la información pertinente. Ok hotell dersom man reiser til Lagos og bare trenger et rom for å sove. Hotellet lå en liten halvtimes gange utenfor sentrum av byen, ved enden av en sidevei, bare et steinkast fra Dona Ana stranda som er en av de mange nydelige strendene rundt Lagos. Minibuss og minitog gikk reglmessig inn til sentrum og ut til strendene ved fyrtårnet hvis man ikke […] ønsket å gå. Ellers kun fem minutt gange fra hotellet til noen små restauranter med deilig portugisisk mat. (Vår favoritt var restaurant Paraiso med husets spesialiteter, bl.a. reker á la Paraiso og fiskegryten deres!). Resepsjonen var behjelpelig med å ringe etter pizza hvis man ønsket å spise på balkongen. To minutt å gå til et lite supermarked. Bar med biljardbord inne i hotellet. Pene, gode sitteplasser i resepsjonen og utenfor. Heisen var gammel, trang og treg, så gjestene brukte trappene opp og ned fra rommet. Hotellrommenes balkonger med havutsikt vender mot et klippeområde med endel fugleaktivitet med arter som ikke er vanlig i Norge, f.eks. blåskjære, bieter, rødfalk, klippedue, gråseilere og søreuropeiske sangfugler. Morsomt! Man ser imidlertid også utover havet sidelengs. Rommene virket nyoppusset, i alle fall nymalt. Aircondition fungerte. Viften på balkongen stod imidlertid slik at man satt i stiv kulig dersom man satt ute mens den stod på. Rengjøring daglig med skifte av håndklær, men man fikk kun ett knøttslite såpestykke per uke. Rommene var spartanske og gjennomgående svært små med knapp gangplass rundt sengen med hard madrass med laken rett på (hygiene?). Det var ingen møbler utover seng og nattbord. Ikke noe kjøleskap eller vannkoker. Det var et lite garderobeskap innfelt i veggen med to små skuffer og safetybox i nedre del. Nøkkel til safetybox måtte leies i resepsjonen. På balkongen stod to plaststoler og et bord. Frokost i underetasjen mellom kl 8-10 var ok og inkludert i romprisen. Ferske rundstykker, smør, syltetøy, to sorter kjøttpålegg, ost og eggerøre. Uma funcionária antipática quase põe a perder a boa qualidade do hotel. Em compensação, o funcionário da noite consegue ser atencioso e competente, provando que é possível fazer um bom trabalho com simpatia.

É um hotel simples , com uma proximidade à praia bastante boa. Peca por falhas na casa de banho, para quem está mais do que um dia, não há qualquer tipo de apoio para os objectos necessários e no quarto a mesa é exígua, e o apoio para colocar as malas é igualmente minúsculo. Penso que actualmente estas falhas não se justificam.
