My stay was comfortable and I was able to have my dog. An important part, for me, was that the windows opened for fresh air.

We always stay as inexpensively as possible, so are not expecting a 4 star experience for a 2 star price, but this was awful. My wife smokes, so we're used to the smell of smoking rooms. We'd been delayed and didn't check in till 2:30 AM and were too tired to go hunt another place. The first room they put us in - the sink faucet was missing an aerator […] and the water sprayed all over when turned on. The sink drain was leaking on the bathroom floor, too - so went to desk and requested a room change. They gave us another room, but the odor in it was intensely disgusting - much worse than just from smoking, and the refrigerator did not work - so we went back to the original room, taking extra towels to lay on the floor and partially wrap around the faucet to contain the spraying. The carpet was so dirty I was afraid to take my socks off. When you walked into the bathroom, your shoes tried to stick to the tile floor. Is this typical of Super 8? We'll never stay in another one. This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Upon pulling into the parking lot of the hotel we were greeted by two couples who had their girlfriends pinned up against the building as they made out. I am NOT against tattoos org gangsta style clothes but there was plenty of both at the entrance of this hotel. The sad part is it got worse once we open […] the hotel room doors. this is a dated poorly furnished unclean Hotel that I would rate below the dirtiest of any motel 6. myself nor the three homeworkers I stayed with would not stay in this hotel again even if it was free. All of the staff was hellpful and pleasant. The coffe was ready by 5 am. The rooms are clean but need updating, Bed not very comfortable, television buzzed when it got to a certain volume. The refrigerator and microwave were in great shape. Allows pets and only charged a one time $10 fee. Also the swing lock on my door was broken, would of complained […] but I had my dog. Mehr

It worked for a quick sleep before continuing home. I would not want to stay there for an extended period. Needs updating and better quality linens. our blanket had a rip in it.

Nice staff. But room wasn't great. No fitted sheets on the beds. Slight cigar smell in my non smoking room. Toilet kept running through the night.

I booked the stay based mostly on the price and it was fine. I stayed 2 nights and am satisfied with the hotel; it was convenient to my event, breakfast from 5:30; 2 floor hotel doesn't require an elevator;

The management was very helpful. I am somewhat disabled so the second day of my stay they moved me and my wife to a first floor room. We also learned this motel is pet friendly so next time we come to Winchester we are going to stay here. Thanks hotel.com for the easy booking and discounted prices.

The Staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel was quiet although location was near 81/522. You cant beat the price and location and friendly staff. I had a very clean room.

The staff I encountered were quite pleasant. The beds and temperature control in the room were acceptable. I was not too thrilled by the black mold around the tub moulding, but the water was fine for a shower. Also, the "continental breakfast" was not particularly inspiring. 2 type dry cereal, a pitcher of milk, apple or orange juice, coffee, bread, […] stale english muffins and some mini muffins. No sweet and lo. Nice that there was something, but as my teenager who was traveling in Europe this summer stated, it's not fair to call this a continental breakfast. If you're just looking for a less expensive place to store your luggage as you go out for the rest of your visit and sleep, it fits the bill. Mehr

This was a basic motel for an overnight on my road trip. The room was clean. The motel was near a Cat-In Cook-Out and all the conveniences of the Farmville Miracle Mile. Front desk staff were OK but not notably friendly. The petrol station next door was a bit noisy all night with constant comings and goings. When my wife and I arrive to the hotel everything went fine. The clerk checked both us in and gave us our room keys. The first night as my wife and I along with a family member came back to hang out was a horrible experience. As soon I enterered into the lobby the male manager states what room are you in and my reply was 103. I continued into my hotel […] room. My wife and family came into the room along with a family member. My wife expressed that the manager gave her nasty look. After entering the room the manager calls the room and states for me to come to the lobby. I asked is there a problem, the manager states yes but not with the room. I ask what is the problem, the manager states you have 1 person as staying in the room. The manager asked me how many people do I have staying in the room, I stated my wife and I. The family member is here visiting and will be leaving soon. The manager turns his computer and stated there is extra room for another person even though there is 1 bed. I had to come out extra $20.00 out of pocket which is not all that much. The manager just had attitude and they way he treated us, we will need come back. The Room was not properly cleaned before we arived. The secondary door lock was broke off and part of it was missing. The bar of soap was pre-used. There was open foods in the refrigerator. There was hair in the shower. And from a preference point, this is the first hotel that not only did not have an iron in the room, but did not have one to rent […] either. Mehr

I was really disappointed in this hotel. This place was a dump. The smoke detector was missing and wires were hanging out. It smelled terrible in the whole hotel. The beds were the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept in, in my entire life. The floor would have been just as comfortable. The walls were paper thin, we could here literally everything […] that was going on in the next room.. Which was NOT pleasant to hear.. There were people drinking beer in the hallways at 4 in the morning. They might as well tear this dump down and build something else.. I would never recommend anyone staying in this hotel ever. Mehr

I wasn't expecting much after reading some of the reviews, and although, it wasn't fancy, it was still comfortable and the price was very good. Right off of I81, it was very easy to find. The breakfast was minimal, but we didn't go hungry and the breakfast room was sunny and cheerful. Went for parents weekend for Shenandoah University, room was very nice and clean and the young man that checked us in was extremely pleasant. It is very close to the university among other sites in Winchester.

Just need a place to crash while driving through. The Good: beds are OK, linen is clean. The OK: A/C kept shutting off, so was left with just the fan mode in the middle of summer. The Bad: there's no point in getting a non-smoking room here. All the nonsmoking rooms wreak of cigarettes as there is no filtration system between the 2nd floor smoking rooms […] and the 1st floor non-smoking rooms. If you're sensitive, don't bother. Mehr

Clean, inexpensive. Right across from okay Mexican restaurant and a grocery store, but not a pedestrian-friendly location - no cross-walks, heavy traffic. Very thin walls - heard person next door all through night. Smoke alarm went off in middle of night - not hotel's fault. Typical experience this hotel for me.
