The description on each type of room needs to be updated!! My room description said it would have a sofa bed but it didn't the beds to me weren't queen sized more like doubles. Make sure to call before making reservations so they can describe what type of room you are getting. Other than that it was okay it was near the expressway and near alot of places […] to eat. Mehr

We had a great two night stay at Main Stay. The breakfast was better than expected, hot potatoes, sausage, eggs, ect. The room was really nice except the sofa bed was very worn the cushions wouldn't fit right so not so comfy to sit on. Other than that it was a great stay.

This hotel was not too large and right off the I-35 feeder. The location was in close to a Walmart, Walgreen, H-E-B and eating places within 10 minutes. The staff was very helpful and gave me great directions to those places. Hotel was clean and parking was adequate. I was pleased with my stay.

I really liked this hotel. It was clean and the room was spacious. The bed was very comfortable and I appreciated the central air conditioning. The only thing I did not like was breakfast. It was the regular minimal breakfast choices but some essentials were missing. There was no hot chocolate or tea.There was no butter or cream cheese available for […] the English muffin. Mehr

Exterior of hotel was very appealing, but deceiving on the inside. The hotel breakfast was very lacking, but the waffles were awesome.....just had to ask three or four times for things to be brought out.

I was very glad to see all of the commodities the hotel had to offer, most of all pleased that this hotel offers Sunday mass (non-denomination) for everyone

This hotel is extremely clean. The staff is very friendly and the accommodations are excellent. My only complaint is with the breakfast. It was supposed to be open at 0630 and it opened at some point after 0730.

The hotel was wonderful. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was very helpful. The location was not that great but the room and staff more than made up for it.

This hotel was just that very nice.My family stayed 3 nights and the only problem we had was the air in our room stoped working the last night so the staff moved us to another room no questions.Very clean and roomy.Staff is super friendly.Will stay again.

well.... we had booked a room with two bed and when we got there they had us booked for a single the emp. said that they had no more rooms avali with two bed but the master suite( witch we got with no extra charge) was very nice but right on the road and a train went by every couple of hours and was very loud didnt get much sleep. but was very happy […] that the emp took responsibility for the mess up on our room and got us in another. Excellent service and super clean! It's like being home.... Only disadvantage the drive back where all the attractions are which is at the center and the beginning of SA.

I found the suite to be clean and very spacious. The price was very reasonable and the hotel staff was very helpful. The breakfast was average. Overall, I was pleasantly pleased with the one night stay and would recommend the hotel to future travellers.

My family of three stayed there two nights and we had a good overall experience. It was very quiet and well kept. The only disadvantage is the neighborhood. I will add that its just rough looking but safe. We were in town for graduation parties and came back to the room after midnight and not once felt unsafe getting down. But one disadvantage is the […] doors were not locked when we arrived. That did make me a little uncomfortable. Overall, room rates were excellent. Large room and space for your money. My 3 year old had enough room to play from the bedroom to the small living room. Mehr

When we arrived we found a womans razor in the bathtub area along with used soap. We also found her sunglasses and necklace. There were only 2 towels in the bathroom and the outside of the toilet was not cleaned. They were totally booked as were surrounding hotels, so we couldn't move. Outside of the bathroom, the rest of the room appeared to be relatively […] clean. We were on the front were at 2 am and 6 am a train comes by and blows the horn for an extended amount of time, and you can hear everything that goes on on the freeway! Not much sleep was gotten. Everything was fine and what we expected at first. On the third night (upon returning back from Mustang Island for a night) we woke up to our rental cars' passenger window broke out and our phone charger and GPS were taken. When we approached the front desk, we were infromed that this had happened and was reported to the front desk later that Sunday […] evening. Since the hotel does not ask for our car type and license #, it sat like this all night while the front desk "could do nothing" about the situation. When we called the police, he said that this happens all the time on that stretch of road. So lesson learned- DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN THE CAR!!! That is if you even what to chance staying at this hotel. Mehr

I like their suites. They have a full kitchen and everything you will need for an extended stay. Price is great for a big family!

Our stay was the eve before Thanksgiving, and there was no notification that there would not be a meal Wednesday night or breakfast on Thanksgiving morning. When we arrived at the hotel, there was a notice placed in the elevator that stated this information. A heads up when I booked online would have been a deciding factor as to whether we stayed at […] this hotel or not. Mehr

I had a problem and tried to get in touch with the manager and she was not available. I was told to returned at 9:30AM to talked with the lady (manager) and I went back (interrupting my bussines travel meetings) and for my surprise she was not there. I waited several minutes (more than 20 mins) and she never got there. I left my phone's mnumbers and […] I was promised that she'll call me back with and answer... I still waiting.... Mehr

This Hawthorne is terrific. The breakfast bar is excellent and the employees friendly. The rooms are quite comfortable. I stay here every chance I get!

This hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but the room was very clean and cozy. Enjoyed my stay very much.

Initially we had reserved a double bed suite, however, once we arrive at the location this type of suite was not available due to some U.S. soldiers having to extend their stay. The staff was instrumental in finding us a suite with 2 beds.

We found this hotel through Hotels.com and although several of the reviews were not the best, we took a chance on the hotel. I have to tell you that the staff was terrific, the location was very good and the hotel exceeded our expectations. Clean sheets, clean room, clean swimming pool, decent hot breakfast and very friendly staff set this hotel apart. […] The staff was terrific with handouts telling about San Antonio and the places to visit as well as making sure that we had everything that we needed during our stay. The hotel was ok, the rooms were nice & clean. The A/C wasn't working in the stairways, so it was rather warm. The ice machines didn't work either. The free breakfast was a big plus. I did have trouble getting two rooms next to each other, even when I specifically requested this beforehand. THE ONLY COMPLAINT IS WITH GOOGLE, NOT THE HOTEL ITSELF. TAKE THE 163 EXIT, BECAUSE THERE IS NO ENTRANCE TO HOTEL FROM 164, SO YOU HAVE TO CIRCLE FREEWAY AND TRY AGAIN.

not close to down town, but with in driving distance. Staff were all extreamly helpful and nice. beds were comfortable and rooms had mini kitchen. home away from home in a pinch.

Very clean, fresh - everyone was nice!!!

Other than the train or traffic, depending on what side of the hotel you were on, it was a pretty nice stay.

Muy buen servicio, habitaciones muy amplias y limpias, excelente que tengan cocineta completa, el punto negativo fue el desayuno, ya que es muy poco y se termina muy rápido la leche, falta mas variedad. Definitivamente me volvería a hospedar en el Magnuson, sólo mejoren el servicio del desayuno.
