Hampton Inn Madison Square Garden Area Hotel - New York

Wir waren mit allem sehr zufrieden! Sehr gute Zentralelage. Das Frühstück war sehr gut (große Auswahl). Das Zimmer und Bad war sauber.

Gerade zurück, Super Hotel mit direktem Zugriff auf U-Bahn, Madisons Square Garden, Empire, Mays, Flat Iron und Manhattan Mall. Zur 7th Ave sind es nur weinige Meter. Der Empfang war immer recht freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind für New Yorker Verhältnisse ok (räumlich klein und wenig Stauraum). Überraschung: Das Früstück was inkl. ist, war […] für amerikanische Verhältnisse mehr als ok. Auch wurde das Gepäck am Abreisetag kostenfrei bis zur Abreise zwischengelagert. Nettes Hotel mit renovierten Zimmern, nahe Penn Station. Einfaches Frühstück. Personal durchschnittlich freundlich. Zimmer sehr sauber und funktional. Kein Safe im Zimmer. Kleiner Fitnessraum mit je einem Laufband, Ergometer, Crosstrainer.

Liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe der Penn Station und weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten.

Die Lage des Hotels an der 31st ist perfekt. Empire State Building und Madsion Square Garden liegen in nächster Nähe und auch der Times Square ist in ca. 15 Minute zu Fuss zu erreichen. Auch verkehrstechnisch ist die Lage perfekt: Penn Station, Subway und PATH liegen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Port Authority Bus Station ist in 15 Minuten zu Fuss zu erreichen […] (z.B. für die Fahrt ins Jersey Garden Outlet). Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer sind zweckmässig und sauber. Wer Luxus sucht liegt hier falsch. Es mangelt einzig an einem Zimmersafe. Die Zimmer sind etwas klein geraten. Wir belegten mit unseren 2 Kindern ein Zimmer mit 2 grossen Betten. Mit all den Einkäufen wurde es doch ziemlich eng. Wifi und Frühstück sind ingegriffen. Frühstückbuffet ist ok. Das Hotel bietet 24 gratis Tee und Kaffee an. Insgesamt kann ich dem Hampton Inn ein optimales Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis attestieren. Und eben, wer Luxus sucht soll sich andernorts einmieten und den entsprechenden Aufpreis zahlen. Mehr

Sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Klein aber oho! Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Optimal gelegen an einem "Subway" Kreuz in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Neu renoviert. Etwas kleine Zimmer dafür sehr sauber. Frühstücksraum je nach Zeit etwas voll. Wir waren über alles sehr zufrieden.

Kleines aber feines Hotel an einer super Lage! Subway (Penn Station sowie Harolds Square) in 2-3 Gehminuten erreichbar. Nette und zuvorkommende Mitarbeitende wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.

War unsere 3. NYC Reise, 10 Tage shopping, Musical und Museen. Wären gerne wieder ins Hampton Inn 35th Street gegangen, war aber deutlich teuerer. Da wir mit zwei Kindern reisen sind die Hampton Inn Hotels wegen der möglichen kostenneutralen 4er Belegung und des im Preis inbegriffenen Frühstücks absolut ideal. Zimmer war diesmal extrem klein, lag nach […] hinten, 9.Stock.. Morgens um 5 wurden die Müllcontainer am gegenüberliegenden Grundstück über 30min entleert. Service war in Ordnung. Frühstück ist etwas langweilig, aber eine gute Basis für den Tag. Wenn man wie wir aber nur zum Schlafen im Hotel ist, ist das Hotel empfehlenswert. Super zentrale Lage. Mehr

We stayed a week at the Hampton Inn, and used it as a base whilst helping our daughter find an apartment for a longer stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds very very comfortable! The only drawback was that our room was on the small side with 2 beds, but we believe this is typical of Manhattan? The breakfast buffet […] was very good with a generous selection of cold and hot food. The only problem is timing when to eat as it can be very busy in the morning. Overall a very enjoyable stay! We thought it was great! We would stay again.

The staff were very good and helpful. I liked the free bottled water each day on leaving the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was also a bonus. Although there was no fridge in the room one was delivered within minutes of my requesting one. I had sustained a knee injury and had no trouble getting an access room. We were very pleased with our hotel stay. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast bar was fabulous. Wonderful staff and a great place to stay. We will stay again.

I was happy with the hotel staff. They were very helpful and considerate. It was a bonus getting complimentary breakfast every day and a bottle of water to take out for the day. My main disapointment was the lifts. They would have to be the slowest lifts ever created and if your room was on the lower floors the lifts were full before they reached you. […] Not very good when you have a suitcase and a train to catch. I had to wait nearly 10 minutes and then forced myself in or I would still be there. The location was good but there was some construction going on in the street and the pavements were uneven. The people at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. I would go back in a minute. It was clean and perfect to get to the subway without any trouble. I look forward to going back to that hotel and spending more time touring NY

I pre-paid for 3 nights Mar 30-Apr 2 (room 1406), otherwise I would have checked out after the first night. My floor had approx 8-10 rooms per floor all surrounding two elevators. I'm assuming the arrangement is the same on most floors. My room door has a 1/3 inch gap at the floor and at the top of the doorway for sound to pass through crystal clear […] so I had to listen to every conversation from each of my neighbours every morning from 7am onward whenever each one of them is waiting for the elevator (average wait for the elevator is 5 minutes). Complementary breakfast starting at 7am is great, but that means no sleep for me past that time. My constructive feedback to the Hampton's management is either fix the sound penetration problem (seal the doorway) or put a sign at the elevators to ask guests to "Please be MINDFUL of other guests still trying to sleep". Other than that, room was clean (except the broken bathtub drain cover which exposed the very gross looking drain), the location is close to Penn Station which is great for me to commute in from Newark airport, and close to Korean town whose food I enjoy. Hotel is very close to MSG and plenty of spots for food. Room is pretty small and not very sound proof. Could hear doors open and close most of the night.

The location is closed to Madison Square Garden and Korean Town. There are lots of restaurant in neighborhood.

Clean room, not the biggest, but adequate. Close to penn station and times square. Surrounding neighborhood is a bit rundown. Great breakfast;much better than the competition. Gym equipment was a bit dated, no towels, so I couldn't wipe down machine. My stay was pleasant.

The hotel was clean and in a great location. Breakfast (free) was awesome! I've never had such a good, included breakfast. Very close to subway access. We used the subway the whole time with a 9 year old, close easy walks. The beds were awful. My husband had to go to the doctor as soon as we got home because his back was so bad. Also, the front desk […] staff told us it would take 45 min, via subway, to get to JFK. It took an hour and 40 min!! We got there to late to check our bags and had to pay to be rebooked on a later flight :-( Mehr

We had a great time at this hotel. Nice king sized bed and decent sized room. Free water bottles helped for the baby and had breakfast every morning. Breakfast was decent and had something for everyone.

The location of the hotel is good. Very close to Penn station and close to a couple of underground stops as well. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. The rooms were ok too. The hotel has only two elevators, so sometimes you had to wait for a while.

Stayed at Hampton Inn Madison Sqare Garden from March 3rd to Mar 5th. Hotel was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was very good close to everything. They also had a very good complimentry breakfast. I would definately stay there again and would not histate to recommend to my friends.

We had a problem with noise in our first room and the night front desk attendant moved us to a quiet room in which he had checked out first to make sure we wouldn't have the same problem. The next day the manager Hunter allowed us to stay after check out to make up for the sleep we missed the night before. They handled the situation very well.

Location was very good. Macy's Herald Square was just a few blocks away and great nearby restaurants and shopping. The only negative was that the bed was very uncomfortable and lacked any support. By the time we checked out after our three day stay, my back was in pain!

Friendly service, and a clean room. All I could ask for, being in Manhattan for 2 nights attending a Rangers game. A half block from MSG makes this hotel a superb choice if your planning a trip to see a hockey game.

Great location and price. Free breakfast was outstanding. Rooms were a bit small but very comfortable. Only issue I had was no refrigerator in the room.

I have never, repeat - never, had better customer service at a hotel in my life!!!! EVERY single member of the staff was accommodating, pleasant, fun and engaging! I really can't say enough about this place. I believe that this type of behavior starts at the top and Hunter, the general manager, leads by example!!! He was ever present and ever attentive […] to our and other guests needs. The rooms were clean - a tad small but when you are in NYC who stays in their room anyway!!! The breakfast offerings were diverse and available until 10 am! Our only minor complaint was that the eggs were a bit tasteless but REALLY that is the only complaint!!! Will definitely go back! Mehr

The rooms are small, but the beds are incredibly comfortable. Everything was well-maintained, clean, and more modern than I expected. But the value for the location was unbeatable - it's literally half a block from Madison Square Garden and the subway station there, a 5-minute walk to Macys and FIT, a pretty easy walk up to Times Square, and all for […] the price of a low-budget inn in New Jersey. We recently stayed in this hotel because we were attending the Westminster Dog show, and the hotel couldn't be a more convenient location to the Garden. Staff was super acomodating, the premises were immaculate, and warm cookies in the afternoon were delish! Bed was a bit uncomfortably hard, but that was just a small concern. For NYC, the room was pretty spacious -- maybe it helped that I was there for two nights, so they gave me a bigger room. Bed was very comfortable. Koreatown is just a couple blocks away, so easy to get good food. I was happy there and will likely be back.

The hotel is a bit small. However, the room sizes are comfortable and quite doable. The complimentary breakfast absolutely shocked me. I guess that is because I have been to other hotels and inns prior to this one where the complimentary breakfast was crap. At this one though, there were fruits, toast, bagels, ready-to-make waffles, cheese and egg omelettes, […] cereal, turkey sausages...the list goes on and on. If you are looking for some place cheap in the city for like a day or two I most definitely recommend it. Mehr

Had a wonderfull stay. Hotel location was great, room was great service was wonderfull continental breakfast was super,hotel also served in the evening hot soup and it was nice. Great place to stay.

It's reasonable in price, but enough clean and very convenient in location. Only 5 minutes' walk from Penn Station. What impressed me was that they serve free coffee and tea for 24 hours. They serve free cookies in the evening. Their breakfast was much better than I expected. I expected the cheap breakfast would only have breads and coffee, but in realty, […] they serve breads, bacon, scranbled egg, waffle, serial, milk, fruits. That's much higher value than its price! Great price and great hotel...A few steps away from Madison Square Garden (a comfortable distance) as well as a short walk to the Empire State Building, the public library and the Rockefeller Center. Very close to Macy's and Niemen and Marcus and not far from Time Square. My only complaint was construction at 2am. The hotel is extremely well located, and it is clean. A good place to stay if you have plans to shop in NY. However, it is a small hotel and always very crowded. I do recommend and certainly consider it during my next stay in NY. It has a good cost/benefit relation!!!
