Confortel Almirante - Barcelona

Hotel liegt sehr guenstig in der Altstadt. Walking distance zum Hafen. Der Service des Hotels ist jedoch miserabel bzw unwissend. Als nach Computerausfall die Chipschluessel nicht funktionierten liess der Empfang die Gaeste erst zu den Zimmern durch und wieder zuruecklaufen und Korrigierte danach erst die Chipschluessel. Waschtische im Bad waren klebrich […] und Schmutzig. Wurden auch waehrend des Aufenthaltes nicht richtig gesaeubert. Mehr

Sehr zentrale Lage. Leider entspricht dieses Hotel keinesfalls einem 4-Sterne-Standard. Die Zimmer waren sehr geräumig, leider sind die sanitären Anlagen sehr renovierungsbedürftig! Wir waren vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis enttäuscht.

Leider wurden meine Erwartungen in Bezug auf die 4 Sterne nicht erfüllt. Die Zimmer sind zwar sauber, aber sehr klein und eher laut. Das beste ist die Lage des Hotels: In Mitten der Altstadt zentral gelegen, wovon man zu Fuss viele Sehenswürdikeiten erreicht. Mein Fazit: Keine 4 Sterne, aber ein gutes Hotel, um die Stadt zu erkunden...

Hotel liegt sehr zentral, in der Nähe vieler Sehenswürdigkeiten. Zimmer gegen die Strasse sind lärmig, sonst ruhig. Service, Frühstück inkl., Sauberkeit alle iO.

so central, u can walk to many of the sights u want to see. breakfast is superb. one of the best i have seen.

A wonderful hotel in the heart of Barcelona. The service was perfect, the cleaning was fantastic and the view from the balcony made us really feel that we were in a big spanish city. Yes, we will recommend this hotel, and yes we will return

Thisvhotel should not be rated as four star hotel

The Confortel Almirante was rather expensive for what you get. I'm surprised by the average rating of 4 stars. My room was very small and the walls were all scuffed up. A chunk of the sink countertop was missing exposing the particle board underneath. And the safe in my closet wouldn't close, so I had to keep pushing it in to open and close the closet […] doors. The location is great... right near the Jaume metro station. A couple of months ago, I stayed at the AC Diplomat. Much better service, quality of hotel and price. Two blocks from Passig de Gracia, so still a good location. I'll go back there again. Mehr

I was very disappointed in the quality of the hotel overall. Thius is not a four star property and teh rating should be changed. The room was so bad I asked for a refund and moved to another hotel. I will say thoughthat the staff was helpful in making this move. I talked to other guests and they were all disappointed in the quality based on the on-line […] description. I was told that superior rooms were a little better but none was available. Mehr

The staff are very friendly and speak english. Besides that, everything else about this hotel is below 3 star standard. They do not have adapters for the rooms. Towels are super old/worn out, not enough amenities. i travel all the time, and usually stay in 4-5 star hotels, and i have never been in a hotel like this one. It reminded me of my college […] days :) room is super small, the TV is from 1992, wholes and cracks on the walls and ceilings, and you can tell that they'ev just painted over it, instead of repairing them. Great location and great price for the Gothic area. Busy street but the noise level was okay in the room. Best to request a street room!

This hotel was a great price for a great location and comfort. We really couldn't have been happier!

I wanted somewhere for a reasonable price and hotels.com offered this hotel. I'd never been to Barcelona before but everyone went on about la ramblas. Luckily for us this hotel is right next to it. The airport is in easy reach and when we came out the airport we jumped on a blue airport bus for 5€. This took us to catalunya which is the area where the […] hotel is. We then walked from the bus stop through the bustling streets about half a mile to the hotel. Lovely foyer area, very modern looking and relaxed, especially after walking through the busy city. The room although on the 6th floor had great views over the city. The room was basic but clean and tidy. The foyer was maintained a lot better than the 6th floor but it was far from bad. Service was good. A map was offered and breakfast which we didn't take as it was very expensive. Plus...Barcelona is full of places to eat. Overall a nice hotel, everything you need for a pleasant short stay. Mehr

Great location for sightseeing very central. Rooms good but overlooking apartment block really close to hotel. Windows in our room at the back of the hotel were frosted making the room very dark. I would use the hotel again as we were in walking distance to shops sightseeing etc.

although this hotel has a very good location, it surely does not reflect four stars. it is rather in need of painting, it is not too clean and staff seems not to be motivated. i have seen so many small hotels and i next time i would read reviews more carefully...

Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms but I wouldn't classify as 4 Star Hotel. In a great spot in the Gothic Quarter. Very close to all amenities. Less than 5 minutes walk to Place Catalunia, Las Ramblas,El Cortes Englise Dept store.,. Lots of nice restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Stayed there during La Merce festival […] great buzz in the city. Would stay in Confortel Almirante again. Mehr

First impression - hotel looks modern. In reality, dusty, walls need paint. Beds and pillows are very uncomfortable. The breakfast is nothing special.

The hotel is situated in an excellent location. The rooms are large and clean, but of quite basic standard. This hotel is probably more of 3/3+ than 4 star, so you basically get what you pay for.

Within walking distance of so many wonderful sites, restaurants, tapas bars, etc. including Las Ramblas, Picasso Museum & even the waterfront. Hotel was clean & staff were pleasant & helpful. Rooms were not large, but were comfortable. We would recommend this hotel & would be happy to stay here again.

Ending up staying here last minute. Hotel is in a great central location near Las Ramblas and the gothic quarters. The hotel room is bigger then i expected. The bathrooms were rather small. and then bed was average at best. I would recommend staying here if you want to be in a central location in the city.

The only thing good about this hotel was the location and the complimentary water. The beds were awful, the service was rude and the building run down. We sat down for the breakfast we paid extra for and not until after we had started eating did the staff come over and drop a bill for one breakfast, why would we have paid for 1 person and not the other? […] We got a special deal for breakfast through hotels.com and certainly would not have paid the amount they were requesting if we hadn't gone through the website. We were happy to have been checked in early. Went to the room and discovered we had been given a room at the back of the hotel. Although quiet, this meant looking out to other people's balconies and laundry. We did not open the windows throughout our stay. We were quite excited and decided to unpack quickly and then go out to see some sights. While […] unpacking, someone opened our door which gave us a shock!!The other person was shocked too. Turned out that another guest had been checked into the same room within the hour!!! He apologised profusely, although it was not his fault. The second night we were there, the internet access broke down. As we were in different time zones, my husband needed to email some documents at 3am. He went down to the reception to inform them of the breakdown but they were not convinced and said that my husband's computer was faulty. He then asked for some documents to be faxed over and was refused initially, but later the recepton staff compromised and did it for him. When we complained to the receptionist in the morning about the internet being down, again he too did not believe us. We told him something has to be done as we need the access, and it needs to be repaired as soon as possible, but he said there was nothing he could do about it. We then asked for the manager and he said he did not know what time the manager was coming. Later on, we heard other people complaining about their internet access as well, and everything was fine by the time we came back from our outing. Mehr

Americans beware! 4 stars mean very different things in Europe. The room is tiny, the walls are very thin (you get to hear your next door neighbor too well! ), the bed is small, the TV is small - it''s a minimal room (jn a WONDERFUL location). None of the hotel stuff speaks English (although they were all nice in a non-English speaking kind of way) […] . Mehr

The Confortel Almirante is a short walk from the city center, Placa de Catalunya. For tourists traveling via public transportation, this is ideal. You can catch a bus or hop on the Metro with ease, giving you access to the entire city. I felt quite safe walking the square and the neighborhood near the hotel very late at night. The hotel staff were […] very helpful and most spoke English (or quickly found another hotel employee who did to assist you). I greatly appreciated the free bottled water the hotel stocked in my room's refrigerator on a daily basis. After a long, hot day walking the city this was a most welcome surprise! This hotel is really close to the Jaume I and the Uriquinaona Metro stations (about a 5min walk to each one). Buses can be used, but the Metro is very efficient. There were many restaurants within walking distance. It is within an easy walking distance of many attractions. The staff was mostly friendly, and most spoke English well; however, it is […] best if you speak basic Spanish or have a phrase book with you. The morning people seemed annoyed to have to speak English, but the night guy was very friendly and helpful (he even helped me with some of my Spanish). There are two computers in the lobby that can be used by guests for free. There is a restaurant, but it was expensive. Breakfast was included with our stay, but it was a typically European breakfast with meats, cheeses, juices, some cereal, bread, etc... It would cost about 16 Euro if we had to pay for it out of pocket - be sure to clarify before eating the breakfast. One thing is that you must slide your room key card into a slot next to the door to turn the lights on - uncommon for American hotels. We were on the 6th floor - thankfully there are two elevators for easy access. The room was air conditioned - thankfully so. The beds (two twins) were hard (but not uncomfortable), but I find that is common among the three different hotels I stayed in while traveling in Spain. Mehr

I betragtning af at dette skulle være et 4 stjernet hotel lever det slet ikke op til forventningerne. Hotellet er nedslidt og værelserne er 2 stjernet standard. Beliggenheden er god og service er middel. Det er skuffende at man skal betale samme pris for et enkeltværelse som for et dobbelt. Billederne på hjemmesiden må være fra hotellet blev bygget […] . Fancy lobby, taskiga små rum, med en heltäckande betongvägg 2 meter från fönstret, och en närliggande tvättlina som enda utsikt. Läget är bra, men absolut inte värt de pengar som man fick betala för hotellet. Personalen pratar knagglig engelska, och är inte trevlig eller hjälpsam för fem öre. Finns garanterat trevligare hotell till billigare peng.

Hôtel vieillot, chambres très petites, insonorisation défaillante, on a l'impression d'avoir les voisins avec nous!! Pas de parking et du coup on était obligés de laisser la voiture dans le parking à coté à 70 euros les 2 jours!!! Pas du tout intéressant compte tenu de son prix, il y a bcp mieux sur Barcelone dans le même ordre de prix ou même bcp […] moins! Mehr

L'hôtel est propre. Problème à mes yeux récurant mes qui peut être changé, c'est le bruit des portes des chambres. Deux possibilité : informer les clients de bien vouloir fermer les porte doucement. Mais bon après il est question de savoir vivre. Sinon changer le système qui représente un coût pour l'hôtel ! Bref ensemble satisfaisant. Mais des claquement […] de portes récurant. Mehr

Otroligt låg standard på rummen, små och smaklösa, samt otrevlig personal! --------------------------------------------------------- The room was low standard and very tiny, the entrance radiated 4 stars, but I would rate it with 2 stars. Look for something else!!!

ottimo rapport qualità prezzo (soggiorntato 3 notti e pagate 2), ottima posizione per visitare la città, consiglio anche pizzeria itlaliana (ottima pizza e ottimi piatti di pesce) e churreria (aperta solo la domenica mattina) vicino. viva barcellona!

Fantastisk beliggenhet midt i sentrum gjorde at det var lett å benytte seg av byen. Selve rommet var svært trangt, og hadde utsikt mot en bakgård som var så stygg at hotellet hadde fått installert vinduer som man ikke kunne se gjennom. Det var også en lite sjarmerene lukt på badet. Men i hjerte av Barcelona bruker man uanset ikke mye tid inne på hotelrommet. […] Men plannlegger du å bruke en del tid på hotelrommet så velg et annet hotell. Mehr

Mycket bra läge mitt i stadens centrum. Trevlig personal, fin frukostbuffé och skapliga rum. Lite högre klass på övriga hotellet än på själva rummen men helt okej. Kan tänka mig det igen främst på grund av perfekt läge! :)

Hotellet ligger MITT i stan. Man kliver ut och allt finns där. Ett par minuters promenad till Las Ramblas, super. Rummet var relativt litet och noll utsikt, men vi sov endast där och ingenting annat så för oss var det lugnt. Personalen kunde lite engelska så det gick att kommunicera med dem. Välstädat, det enda negativa var att täcket var en filt och […] två lakan endast. Inget ordentligt täcke! Mehr

El Hotel está en pleno centro de Barcelona. A 5 min de Plaza de Cataluña, perfectamente unida con el aeropuerto con un autobús que tarda 25 minutos en llegar. Las Ramblas, la catedral, la plaza real, el Maremagnum, la Barceloneta, el zoo, la casa Batlló, el paseo de Gracia, etc. La situación es perfecta. La limpieza de la habitación deja algo que desear […] pues estuvimos 4 días y no fregaron ninguno el cuarto de baño. Los recepcionistas son muy amables y te facilitan lo que necesites. A mi por ejemplo me dejaron imprimir las entradas del zoo que había sacado por internet. En general lo recomiendo. Mehr

Al hotel le falta mantenimiento en general y estoy a la espera de que me contesten a la encuesta que rellené a mi salida pues así lo especifiqué.

Det var et super godt hotel. Pænt, rent og rummeligt værelse. Vi synes ikke det var et problem med vejen. Det vidste vi på forhånd. Den er trafikeret. Det eneste minus var at WI-FI ikke var så stabilt på 6 sal. Vi kunne sagtens vende tilbage
