Ich habe mich hier sehr wohl gefühlt, auch wenn das Hotel sehr dicht am Hwy liegt, so dass man im Hintergrund das Vorbeifahren der Autos hört, dafür ist man schnell wieder auf dem Hwy1. Das Hotel hat den Vorteil, dass es nur ein paar Minuten vom Marina State Beach entfernt liegt. Einen Meeresblick bieten die Zimmer allerdings nicht. Außerdem gibt es einen eigenen Frühstücksraum und das Frühstücksangebot geht über das übliche Continental Breakfast hinaus, wobei das Angebot an Cereals gegenüber vor 2 Jahren nachgelassen hat. Preis - Leistungsverhältnis stimmen jedenfalls.

Hotel und Zimmer soweit OK (nur eine Übernachtung). Da kein Frühstückraum vorhanden, erfolgt Bereitstellung des Frühstücks mittels einer Kühlbox. Inhalt 'überschaubar'.

Ein Hotel, in dem man sich Wohlfühlen kann und von dem aus sich die atemberaubende Gegend (Ort, Küste, 17 Miles Drive, Monterey, Carmel Valley geut erschließen läßt. Die Lage etwas außerhalb ist für Leute, die sowieso unterwegs sind genauso unwichtig wie die Nutzer der Wellnessangebote. Ausschließlich optisch stört ein ganz wenig die nahegelgene Tankstelle, aber who´perfect ? Ein gutes Hotel zum Weiterempfehlen.
Lage
Super 8 Monterey - Carmel Area liegt in Monterey in der Nähe von Monterey Museum of Art – Pacific Street, Fisherman's Wharf und Dennis the Menace Park. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: Maritime Museum und Monterey Museum of Art – La Mirada.

"Für den Preis sehr zu empfehlen!"
Liegt zwar etwas abseits und das Frühstück ist mager (kleine Gebäckteilchen und Kaffee), dafür sind die Zimmer sehr sauber und geräumig. Für ein bis zwei Nächte völlig okay!

Super 8 Standart ganz ok. Einfaches Frühstück, Toast, Butter, Marmelade, Müsli, Gebäck, Obst. Genug für den Start in den Tag. Frühstück gibts in der Rezeption, daher nur wenig Platz, aber man kann ja auch auf dem Zimmer frühstücken. Als wir ankamen war unser Zimmer noch nicht fertig. Guter, wenn auch unpersönlicher Service, riesige Zimmer, sehr sauber und alles im guten Zustand, Frühstück reichlich wenn auch wenig Platz dafür.

Wir nutzten das Hotel für eine Übernachtung auf einer Rundreise. Das Hotel liegt etwas abseits, ist aber in puncto Preis/Leistung unserer Meinung nach nicht zu toppen. Nach Downtown kommt man mit dem Pkw in wenigen Minuten; nur wenige Meter entfernt befindet sich jedoch ein Einkaufszentrum mit Läden, Kino und Restaurants. "Gut gelegenes Motel"
Das Motel entsprach unseren Erwartungen. Die Zimmer waren einfach, aber sehr sauber. Die Lage ist gut und obschon an eine Strasse liegend sehr ruhig. Für Übernachtungen auf der Durchreise zu empfehlen oder wenn man den amerikanischen Motelstandard wählt, sehr gut.

Be aware, they charge you just because they see you with more people. They charge me $80, because the last day they saw me with 2 friends that were staying at a different hotel in the same street. I call the next day and the manager was rude and unable to give me a good explanation of the charge, they just told me that because they saw me with more […] people they had to charge me since only 2 people are allowed in each room. The rooms are quite comfortable and well equipped, but a bit run down, could do with an overhaul. The location is convenient for Monterey and Carmel and for highway 1, and benefits from a pretty decent shopping center across the road.

Stayed 1 night here after booking online. The price was very reasonable and it had the best rating of the hotels I saw in the same price range. We were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and in good condition. The bathroom was huge. There was a large bathroom with shower, toilet and very generous vanity with 1 sink. I was really glad we stayed here. It was centrally located and right across the street from Del Monte Center where we could find everything we needed. It was just a short hop to the sites of Monterey, Hwy 1 and easily accessible to Carmel and Big Sur.

We got exactly what we had expected from this stay, based on the reviews we read here on Hotels.com before we booked. The room was spacious (even had two separate sinks with mirrors -- one outside the bathroom, and one inside), the queen beds were comfortable, the fridge and microwave were great for storing snacks and re-heating leftovers from Cannery […] Row, there was plenty of parking, the complimentary breakfast was simple but sufficient (danishes, cereal, oatmeal, toast, english muffins, milk, coffee, juice), and it was less than a 10-minute drive to the Aquarium and Dennis the Menace Park. The kids loved having their own bed, and the flatscreen tv was actually nicer than we'd expected. Oh, and there was even free WiFi. You can't beat that with a baseball bat! The hotel was great from the moment we checked in till we checked out. It was convientely located to everything from food places, entertainment and a grocery store. The only downside was the pool was closed for the winter season, other than that we were completely satisfied.

It's a cheap hotel with clean sheets that is driving distance from beautiful things. If you have a car and you're not trying to impress someone with crystal chandeliers in the lobby, this is a good spot.

The lady was abusive, accusative, inhospitable, downright rude....then she realized she had the wrong person. But to treat any customer in the manner she did is inexcusable and unprofessional. I stayed there with my family one night. Big room, Big bed and good condition bathroom. Easy to find the location. Near to Camel city, 17miles drive, cannery row, warf. Continental breakfast is good. parking is convenient. Only one thing unsatisfied is noisy of heater. i will stay there again next time.

The management was great. I thought we would need a fold out bed and called to ask about it. Being told there was a fee, we decided not to use it but when we checked in, they already put the bed in the room. They took it out without a problem. Room is of decent size.
