Das Hotel "47" liegt zwischen Tiber-Insel, Circus Maximus und Forum Romanum / Colosseum. Diese Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß innerhalb weniger Minuten bis max. einer Viertelstunde erreichbar. Dies gilt auch für die Haltestellen der Tour-Busse bzw. Anlegestellen der Tiber-Schiffe. Zur Via del Corso / Piazza Venezia läuft man ca. 15 - 20 Minuten. Die […] Zimmer sind sehr sauber und für zwei Personen ausreichend groß. Die Betten sind bequem, die übrige Ausstattung der ZImmer entsprach unseren Vorstellungen an ein 4-Sterne-Hotel. Auf der Dachterrasse befindet sich eine Bar und ein Restaurant, welches internationale und "römische" Küche in sehr guter Qualität bietet. Die Preise sind im Vergleich zu den umliegenden Restaurants etwas höher. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist nicht üppig aber ausreichend. Besonders hervorheben muß man den erstklassigen Service in fast allen Bereichen des Hotels. Obwohl das Hotel am Anreisetag bis auf zwei Zimmer ausgebucht war, erhielten wir am darauf folgenden Tag ohne Probleme ein ruhig gelegeneres Zimmer. Ein technischer Defekt wurde innerhalb einiger Minuten beseitigt. Von den Angestellten erhielten wir exzellente Restaurantempfehlungen, die Tischreservation klappte hervorragend usw. Diese Service-Qualität und Freundlichkeit des Personals vermissten wir bei manch anderer Gelegenheit in Rom bzw. Italien doch schmerzlich. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist die vor dem Hotel stark befahrene Straße, welche doch erhebliche Geräuschemissionen verursacht. Es ist daher empfehlenswert, ein Zimmer abseits dieser Straße im hinteren Teil des Hotels zu buchen. Mehr

Würde das nächste Mal ein Zimmer nach hinten raus nehmen, da der Verkehr auf der Pflastersteinstrasse dauernd zu hören ist. Ansonsten sehr empfehlenswert!

Beautiful rooms for the price, free wifi and breakfast buffet. We were on the busy street side, but the electric shutters blocked our all light and sound. What a nice surprise! Would stay here on our next trip to Rome!

Spent six nights in room 408 (fantastic view) as a suprise 15th wedding anniversary trip for my wife and I. The hotel was in a great location and had all the amenities we were looking for. The breakfast was filling and a great way to start the day. All notable sights were within walking distance (with the exception of the Vatican) and we wore ourselves […] out touring all Rome had to offer. For the Vatican, we simply hoped a bus (Route 81) that stopped right outside the hotel. For a euro we were able to ride it straight to the end of the route and be at the entrance to St. Peters square. Couldn't have been easier. Lots a great resturants within a five minute walk. Would recomend Dar Poeta across the Tiber in Travestere for some great pizza. Mehr

The Hotel was clean, comfortable and true to its boutique 4 Star rating. Hotel is at a busy intersection and the lower level and street front rooms can be noisy. We loved our stay in this Hotel. Marco, Alina and Claudia at the front and Stefan at the restaurant were just as nice as they com. Frankly everyone from the bell boy to the management was friendly, […] courteous and helpful. Continental breakfast was above average. Room and the bathroom were very clean and the beds were very comfortable and nicely done. We look forward to our next trip to Rome and staying in this Hotel. Great hotel in perfect location. While on a busy street as most of the hotels are it was very quiet at night with soundproof windows and shutters. I am a light sleeper and had no difficulty. Modern and very clean with helpful staff who will make reservations, give recommendations etc. Nice breakfast included in the daily rate. Very convenient to walk […] to all sites throughout Rome with the farthest being the Vatican about 30 minutes away. Very close to Travestere section where there are great restaurants to walk to for dinner. This hotel was recommended to me by a friend who had stayed there and I am very glad I stayed there as well. Nothing but great things to say about the hotel, especially the staff. Everyone was so attentive, and helpful. The only issue I experienced was that there was no language option available on the TV - {English/any other language vs. Italian} channels were not working. Other than that is was terrific. I would return in a heartbeat.

The Hotel is in a great location, very clean, and a very helpful staff. Booked a deluxe room for three people but it clearly only can fit two, so I had to get an additional room which was not a problem. First time there and it was absolutely great. Room was clean. Staff friendly. Ideal location near forum, colloseum, and capital museum. Only critique I'd have is in regards to the wifi. Was sporadic at best in the room but worked in lobby just fine. Would 100% go back again

Superb hotel. Spotlessly clean and modern. Lovely rooms. We walked everywhere no need for taxi's. Close to Trastevere area with lots of lovely places to eat at really reasonable prices. Staff are friendly and really helpful. Perfect!! Would definitely stay again. Don't hesitate to book this hotel.

The hotel staff were very helpful from arrival. This included realising it was my girlfriends birthday and leaving a cake in our room and booking us a table at a busy restaurant, avoiding our bad Italian on the phone. The breakfast was also very good, and all the main sites were a scenic stroll (or short taxi ride) away.

We were happy with our choice of this hotel. The room was very nice and unbelievably clean. We had a lovely terrace with a fantastic view which was great. The location was actually very convenient and we were able to walk everywhere from the hotel even managing to get back to the hotel from the Vatican by foot. The hotel is also very close to the very […] charming neighborhood of Trastevere which is a wonderful area filled with shops and places to eat. The hotel staff was very nice to deal with and they were really helpful in providing whatever assistance or information we required. We would stay at this hotel again if given the chance and would recommend it to others. Mehr

We spent 3 nights at the Forty-Seven. The hotel staff could not have been better. Alina helped to arrange two semi-private tours and an early departure on the day of Checkout. Marco always acknowledged us by name when we were in the lobby and was very helpful in providing information, directions, restaurant recommendations, ect. Stefan (I think?) from […] the rooftop restaurant remembered our beverages of choice and got them ready as soon as he saw us coming. The hotel was very close to everything and we would recommend it to anyone spending time in Rome. We will definately stay there again when we return to the eternal city. Mehr

It is an incredible hotel: superb rooms, great free breakfast, fantastic staff. The staff are the friendliest & most helpful you find anywhere in Italy. It is truely a great hotel. I really liked the hotel decoration and my room was very comfortable and clean. However, I was very annoyed that the roof terrace was closed both nights I was there because of a private function. Don't book this hotel thinking you can enjoy drinks or dinner looking over Rome ( as they make so much of in their advertisment). I think if you pay a fair […] amount for a hotel, it's not unreasonable to expect use of all the facilities. The staff were adequate, except the concierge who was excellent. Mehr

This is a very quaint boutique hotel that we stayed only for one night before our cruise departure. It is well located and the staff was very helpful in putting us in the right direction to tour. If you are looking for a large hotel then this is not for you.

Fortyseven is definitely my preferred hotel in Rome. I have been going to Rome once a year for the past 12 years and I have stayed at Fortyseven since 2008. I'm not saying that you can't find a hotel in Rome offering the same or even better - but you will have a hard time finding it without spending (a lot) more. Very nice rooftop terrace where you can dine well or enjoy a cocktail or other beverage. Excellent beds and a great breakfast buffet. A small, but well equipped gym/fitness room. Amazing central location. Extremely helpful, polite, and warm staff. Very clean. You can't go wrong with this hotel!

Everything of hotel is superb - room, breakfast, front desk etc. Maybe one item for the hotel to consider, is a in- room kettle for coffe/tea

The hotel was great and the surrounding neighborhood was wonderful for walking to quaint restaurants in the Trastevere area in the evenings. Most tourist attractions are within easy walking distance with the exception of the Vatican. The only negative was the outside noise level as we were booked in Room 207 which was on the front side of the hotel […] and a busy street. Noise level was a little much but with the amount of walking and touring we did each day, we still slept. Hotel room size and bathroom was very nice. Breakfast menu didn't change from day to day but was adequate with lots of pastries, breads, meats, cheeses, juices and scrambled eggs and sausage each morning. Book taxi transportation to Airport or Train station yourself as rates are better. Mehr

A brilliant hotel - very caring staff who looked after us (young couple with baby) in every way and ensured that every request was thoroughly taken care of. Great breakfast downstairs and other meals available from the rooftop restaurant. Wonderful location, out of the usual tourist trap area. Hotel fortyseven is a great hotel in Rome! the hotel itself is beautiful - the rooms are big and spacious, clean, modern. Breakfast is very good and the staff are super friendly. the location is perfect - within walking distance of everything you ever want to see in Rome! we never once used a taxi. Highly recommended

Wished there were more hotels like this. Great facilities, very helpful and friendly staff, great room, awesome location.

The Hotel itself was excellent, clean and in a great location. What puts it over the top is the best, most helpful staff that goes the extra mile to help you whatever your needs are transportation, meal reservations and recommendations, tour suggestions, directions etc. etc. Highly recommend the hotel and would love to return some day!

I highly recommend the 47 Preferred Boutique - the hotel is beautiful, its right near Historic Rome and the roof top dining offers great food and a beautiful view of Rome. It was great at Night - we had drinks at Night just to check out the beautiful views one more time. Fred

We were very pleased overall with hotel fortyseven. As it is located on a main road and we had rooms at the front of the hotel it was slightyly noisy but this didn't affect the enjoyment of our trip. The only complaint I have is of the bar staff. The hotel has a lovely bar located on the 6th floor with great views but the staff were quite miserable, […] not very friendly and the service was slow. 47 Boutique ia an excellent choice. Service at arrival and at any other time was excellent across the board. The room was definitely 5 star, clean and an excellent size. King bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom ample size and again, very modern. Location was also excellent as we were about a 5 minute walk from the Circus Maximus and Palantine Hill […] and Capital Hill, 5 minutes from Via Del Corso, a little over 10 minutes to the Coliseum and right next to the river. We could walk across the river bridge to a couple of excellent restaurants and took a cab to Vatican City from where we did a tour and walked our way back to the hotel via several major sites. Highly recommend if you are in to a modern location, well kept, 5 star location with excellent service. Especailly for Rome, which is an expensive town, we paid a good price for a hotel with all the amenities. We would definitely stay again. Mehr

A beautiful building around the corner from the Palatine, about 400m from the River Tiber. Room was air conditioned, clean, high ceilinged and very attractive. Beautiful shower and bathroom (but no bath-this didn't bother us, but some people might find it annoying). Breakfast-excellent coffee with fresh bread/pastries/fruit/scrambled eggs). The hotel is conveniently located close to ancient Rome, but it is quite a long walk to some of the other popular tourist sights such as the Spanish Steps and Vatican City. The staff were very helpful in telling us which buses to take to get to the longer destinations and the bus stop is one block from the hotel. It is also helpful to be located near […] the Victor Emmanuel monument due to its massive size allowing you to get your bearings, especially when riding the bus. Mehr

OVERALL: The hotel aesthetically pleasing. The rooms were spacious and wonderfully equipped to include nice-to-haves such as robes and slippers. Wow. This is pretty upscale for the price and for a European hotel. They are usually smaller than indicated which has been frustrating in the past. My only (ONE) problem was that a couple of doors down, there […] was a smoker. This hotel is non-smoking, but unfortunately not all people can follow the request of the hotel. When I mentioned it to the staff, they were quick to address the situation. There is a fully equipped gym in the finished basement floor. Although the equipment appeared to be brand new, the equipment was cramped into one small, rectangular room. Still, it's user worthy if you want to avoid running around the ever energetic Italian traffic. If needing a Taxi, the hotel has a company or two they call with nearly all fixed rates to distinations within the quarter. (For the times you don't want to walk) No haggeling with the driver's. Great!! I was more inclined to tip the driver because of this. There is a 270 degree view of the city from the top of this hotel where they also have a restaurant. Also a great place to take in some reading. The center of the hotel welcomes you to an open-air atrium. Great place to eat breakfast in order to fuel up for your day-long adventure out into Rome. Varied selection of food. Coffee is great - of couse. Overall, we were quite please with our room and stay. Everything was within walking distance and near the bridge that takes you over to the Trestevere side to enjoy a wonderful dinner . I'd do this all again!!! Mehr

This hotel provides very good service; most staff are friendly, but a few are a bit surly. The property itself has become a little run-down in the last 5 years since we stayed there, but is in acceptable condition. A king-sized bed is really two doubles pushed together, so there's an awkward seam in the middle just below the sheets. The food at the […] rooftop restaurant has improved enormously -- far better than most similarly-priced restaurants in Rome. Terrific location for trips to Forum, Colosseum, Trastevere and other sights, not so much for shopping. Lots of nickel-and-dimeing going on -- ridiculous internet use rates. Mehr

Was not able to have a drink at the rooftop with the view, because we were pre-empted by a wedding. The glass shower door was off it's track and it took two trips to the lobby to get a maintenance person to fix it. The room was elegant, the location wonderful, but better service at other hotels.
