Gutes Hotel, in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Wallstreet , am südlichsten Ende des Broadway. Sehr nette Bedienung. Enges aber sauberes Zimmer mit zwei Kingsize-Betten.

Großes Zimmer, gute Betten. Bei Zimmern nach hinten raus kann man bei offenem Fenster schlafen. Internet fürs Zimmer zu teuer. Im Bad leichter Renovierungsstau. Frühstück im Hotelrestaurant empfehlenswert, sehr nette Bedienung. Infostand für Sightseeing im Hotel sehr gut. Karten tlw. kostenfrei. Mexik. Pub +Chinarestaurant ca. 200 m entfernt. U-Bahn ca. 400m weg.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel. Das Zimmer war sauber, zweckmäßig und der Service freundlich und aufmerksam. In direkter Nähe befinden sich viele Sehenswürdigkeiten (Stock Exchange, 9/11 Memorial, Trinity Church) und man erreicht 3 verschiedene Subway-Stationen innerhalb weniger Gehminuten. Außerdem die Fähre nach LongIsland bzw. den Anleger für die Boote zur Freiheitsstatue und Elis Island. Da an der Wallstreet Abends/ Nachts nicht ganz so viel los ist, kann man - für NYC-Verhältnisse - relativ ruhig schlafen, v.a. im Vergleich mit der Gegend rund um den TimesSquare usw. Ein kleines, aber feines, familiengeführtes (so schien es) Hotel, dass wir auf alle Fälle weiterempfehlen würden!

"Stimmiges Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis"
Gute Lage für einen New York-Trip. Günstig direkt am Holland Tunnel gelegen. Wenige Gehminuten von der PATH-Station Newport entfernt. Damit direkter Zugang nach Manhattan. In der Nähe des Hotels ein großer Supermarkt, damit kann man das eher eintönige Frühstück bestens ergänzen und im Zimmer seinen Morgen starten. Das Frühstück wird im Empfangsbereich […] auf einem Tresen angeboten. Tische und Stühle sind dort nicht vorhanden, also eher Frühstück "auf die Faust". Kaffee und Kleinigkeiten gibts den ganzen Tag kostenfrei. WLAN ist kostenfrei, die Bandbreite aber nicht die Beste. Für Mail und ein wenig surfen aber okay. Die Reinigung hat super geklappt, jeden Tag wurden die Handtücher getauscht. Wir hatten ein Zimmer zum Parkplatz nach hinten gelegen. Von dem Strassenverkehr war so gut wie nichts zu hören. "Lage super, der Rest annehmbar"
Wir haben dieses Hotel gebucht, da wir keine Lust hatten mit dem Auto nach Manhatten zu fahren. Vom Hotel aus ist man in 10 Minuten am Path-Train, der einen direkt nach downtown Manhatten bringt. Somit ist die Lage sehr zu empfehlen. Das Hotel selbst ist älteren Datums und bietet keine übermäßigen Annehmlichkeiten. Wir haben es nur zum Schlafen genutzt […] und dafür war es gut. Allerdings ist es sehr laut, da man direkt zu der Straße schläft, die zum Holland Tunnel führt und daher viel befahren ist. Das Rezeptionspersonal ist hilfsbereit und nachts gibt es einen Security Guard für den Parkplatz. Mehr

"New York vor der Tür"
Das Holland New Motor Lodge ist ein gutes Hotel was die Preis/Leistungs betrifft. Die Zimmer sind sauber und haben alles was man braucht inkl. Mikrowelle und Kühlschrank. Für das gleiche Geld bekommt man in New York leider nur Absteigen, also lieber 20Minuten Bahn fahren und Geld sparen. Die Zimmer haben die typische Motel Ausstattung also keine schicken […] Lampen oder Design Waschbecken, alles etwas älter aber dafür wie bereits geschrieben alles SAUBER. Das Frühstück ist frisch und amerikanisch mit Bagels und Donuts sowie Cornflakes & Oatmeal und frischem Obst. Das Personal war stets hilfsbereit und freundlich und es wurde alles immer wieder aufgefüllt. Bei den Preisen in NY lohnt es sich morgens lecker Müsli und Bananen zu speisen. Die Umgebung des Hotels ist vollkommen okay, ein Einkaufszentrum inkl. diversen Schnellrestaurants und einem Kino ist ca. 5min zu Fuß entfernt und damit gleich um die Ecke. Man kann also Abends auch schön ins Kino und hat dann hinterher keinen langen Weg heim. Die Path Station um per Zug rüber nach Manhattan zu fahren ist ebenfalls schnell und einfach zu Fuß zu erreichen für einen Europäer alles in Reichweite was man benötigt. Die Überfahrt dauert ca. 20-30Min je nachdem wohin es gehen soll. Für Familien, Paare und Reisegemeinschaften kann ich das Hotel nur empfehlen. "guter Ausgangspunkt für Manhattan"
Das Motel liegt am Eingang zum Holland-Tunnel,aber Dank schallisolierter Fenster und guter Klimaanlage konnten wir gut schlafen.Zum PATH-Train geht man gemütlich 10min durch's Bankenviertel von Jersey-City,fühlten uns auch abends sicher.Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind dort ausreichend vorhanden.Mit dem Train ist man innerhalb von 20min im Zentrum von Manhattan […] oder am WWT,dort Vorsicht alles im Umbau. Abends unbedingt am Marina Newport anhalten,Superblick auf die Lichter der Skyline von Manhatten und eine kühle Brise im Gesicht. würden immer wieder dieses Motel buchen,da Parken inclusiv ist. Mehr
"Hotellage"
Das Hotel ist einfach aber in Preisleistung für NY-Verhältnisse ok. Die Zimmer sind klein und nur für reine Übernachtungen geeignet. Wen das und der Verkehr drumherum vor dem Hollandtunneln nicht stört, der hat dafür eine gute Anbindung mit der U-Bahn an die NY-City. (5-10 Gehminuten). Wer Luxus liebt ist hier falsch.

Nach einer etwas komplizierten Anreise von JFK trafen wir mit der Path Metro in Jersey City ein. Zu Fuß geht's dann ca. 10 Minuten zum Hotel direkt am Eingang des Holland Tunnels. Das Zimmer ging aber nach hinten raus und war eigentlich ruhiger als die Hotels mitten in Manhattan, die ich schon kenne. Frühstück ist im Stehen, dafür aber nett mit vielerlei […] Donuts, Obst, Haferbrei (sehr lecker: Maple), Kaffee, Tee O-Saft. Das Zimmer war ordentlich und für eine vierköpfige Famile ok (2 Doppelbetten). Sehr nahe große Shopping Mall mit Kino und großem Foodcourt sowie 2 Supermärkte (nicht in Mall). Mehr

"Ideale Ungerkunft"
Die Holland Motor Lodge liegt ausserhalb der Stadt in Bundesstaat New Jersy. In zehn Minuten kommt man zu Fuss zur Station des PATH Systems und damit direkt ins Zentrum. An Zimmer und Service kann nichts bemängelt werden. Die Zimmer sind sauber und alle Einrichtungen sind renoviert. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. "sehr sauber"
Ich war überrascht, wie professionell das kleine Hotel geführt wird. Es ist sehr sauber und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer sind allerdings klein und beim Zimmerkomfort darf man keine 5 Sterne erwarten. Obwohl unser Zimmer an der Strassenseite lag, war der Verkehrslärm erträglich. Gesamthaft Preis/Leistung sehr gut.

Dieses Hotel ist bestens geeignet als Ausgangspunkt für die Besichtigung Manhattans. Die Path ist in wenigen Minuten (ca. 10 min.) erreicht, daher kann man getrost das Auto stehen lassen. Wer noch übrige Zeit hat, kann direkt über der Straße in einer riesigen Mall seine Zeit vertreiben. Das Hotel ist trotz seiner Lage direkt beim Holland Tunnel super. "Honeymoon"
This was a great hotel. For our honeymoon, we wanted just a simple hotel to go to NYC. The staff was great and super helpful. The room was clean and more comfortable then I was expecting. The bathroom was a little old but very clean. A 10 min walk to the PATH station and we zipped by to NYC everyday. The breakfast was pretty good but get there early! […] Guests clean it out by 9:30am and all you're left with is the fruit and some cereal. You're also allowed to take it back to your room which is nice since not every hotel allows that. We definitely will stay here next time we want to come see the city. Mehr

Like everyone else who commented on this hotel, I was very satisfied with this hotel. The hotel is small in size but if your only here to sleep, the size of it won't bother you. It is close to the PATH, the mall and it is a safe neihbourhood. The hotel is very clean and the staff is pleasant and helpful.

We used the Holland Hotel as home base for the few days we were in the area. It was within walking distance to Carlos Bakery (20 min) as well as the various transportation options to NYC. On day 2 we took transportation into the city to visit Ground Zero Memorial and Liberty State Park. The PATH and subway are both a 20 min. walk from the hotel. Quentin the Manager and Michael were outstanding clean Hotel no frills like a pool or hot tub but great for a place to stay near New York without the higher prices. Very helpful giving directions and advice about local area cannot thank them enough...
"Stay here only if you are forced to..."
I wanted to try this hotel as it was very close to my client location. It was a serious mistake. Actually for less daily rate I could have stayed at few other hotels very closeby that are much better. I cannot imagine ever staying at this hotel.

You can't go wrong when your hotel is outside a major tunnel to NY, near a reasonably priced grocery store, and has access to one of the biggest liquor stores in Jersey. The condition and cleanliness is great. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Had to stay in town for 3 weeks. This place is inexpensive and close enough to everything. The people working there are very cool and helpful. Good, low cost alternative if what you need is a place to stay while working in town.

Within reasonable distance to transit, liquor, and groceries. Great staff. Rooms are older but CLEAN! Stayed here over New Years, and would stay again any time!
The front desk clerk was extremely knowledgeable & friendly, and it's only a short walk to the PATH station. If you're looking for an inexpensive lodging option for NYC and are willing to take a short train into the City, this is a great choice.

We were visiting Carlo's Bakery and NYC. This hotel is conveniently located to Carlo's, the Holland Tunnel, and the PATH. It is a great, inexpensive hotel that is out of the way of the hustle and bustle. Parking was good, the staff was friendly and helpful. I have nothing negative to stay. "Do Not Stay"
The Holland Lodge, was not at all what I paid for, people drinking outside, the entire place smells of cigarrets, astrays all over the place. The person in front of me that was cheking in was a "regular" whatever that means. I will never stay in that dump again!

99% happy, service was impeccable and very friendly. Very close to PATH train to NY. Staff very accomodating. Only complaint, free Wi-Fi slower than dirt, times unusable. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel.

Located near PATH station: PATH train gets you to Manhattan center in about 15-20 mins, and the station is about 5-7 min walk from the hotel (though you really need to know where to go to when you arrive there for the first time). It's not easy to find the way to hotel from PATH station (Newport) when you first arrive there. I requested an iron and ironing board - it never showed up. There was a cigarette burn in the comforter. The room was a smoking room so it had a bit of a dank smell. The hotel claims to have a microwave and safe in each room, but mine didn't have either. Besides all of those things the room was decently clean and the guy at the front desk was pleasant. The hotel was really great. We, however, were visiting NYC and it was not convenient for travel. The hotel is almost a mile from the PATH which is the transit from NJ to NYC. Another misconception is that all transits connect. We had to find the subway once in NYC because it was not in the same terminal as the NJ transit PATH. "Clean, nice staff and great location"
The hotel staff was nice and helpful, the room was old but clean and comfortable, despite the proximity of the Holland Tunnel access road (windows were soundproof). Location is perfect, at 10-minutes walk from the PATH station to Manhattan. Great value for the bucks. Would definitely recommend this hotel and go again.
