Cobblestone Inn - Carmel

Süssel Motel in Carmel, Zimmer wie man es erwartet im Motel- aber das Hotel bietet Zimmer mit Kamin, was sehr gemütlich war. dazu gibt es Frühstück inkl. und Kaffee Tee den ganzen Tag, Abends Wein, Sherry und snacks um sonst. Wer Carmel besuchen will, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Der Service war sehr gut, Personal sehr sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Lovely

GREAT location to downtown Carmel - you can walk to the beach (10 min), restaurants/wine tastings (3-5 minutes) and on street parking is quite easy. The room was small and quaint but I wasn't expecting large and modern; it's a bed and breakfast. Staff was very friendly, wine hour was nice and breakfast was prompt. Location was excellent.

Loved the romantic aura of the room...chocolates & rose on pillow nice touch & fireplace spectacular! Only negative was that shower was a bit claustrophobic...otherwise all was superb

This is not quite what I imagine (and experienced) B&B to be. It's an Inn that serves a breakfast, buffet-style in the morning, and wine with munches in the evening. Rooms are small (there are 3 or 4 larger rooms, and I believe those are pictured on the site), enough to sleep in, but too small for comfortably spend any time. Cute view if your windows […] are facing courtyard, but I suspect not so pleasant if facing next building. There was a weirdness with our reservation - 1 hour before checkin we got an email, an SMS and automated call that there is an issue and our room is not going to be available, and please call urgently. During a call we were told that they -just- discovered a roof leak in our room. We told them (hotel.com) there was no rain, they "double checked" and said sorry, everything is OK, "miscommunication". Not sure what was that about, but in the evening after we checked in we got another automated call. Lady at the desk said there was no leakage recently at all. All in all pleasant enough, but we were expecting more for the price we payed. Mehr

Most guests are couples on vacation, I visit the Monterey Peninsula on business once or twice a month. This has everything a business traveler needs plus being in the heart of down town Carmel...great food and drink. You do not need the cheesy little exercise room the Eco hotels offer, just take a 45 minute walk up and down the hills of Carmel and enjoy […] the beauty of the Pacific Ocean. Plus I'll bring my wife back when I am not on the clock !!!! Mehr

Disappointing rooms. Small, bad TV location, mediocre accomodations. No coffeemaker or tea available in room. Breakfast second rate. One good thing: location. Sayonara!

Good choice for the price. Clean, cozy room with fireplace. Breakfast is easy going and tasty, service is polite and efficient. Bathroom was small, if you care about such things. We loved this hotel! Looking forward to going back.

Cute spot, breakfast was good and plenty of room in the restaurant. Our room was tiny, no. 7, but for one night it was fine. Sounded like a dishwasher was running above for about 2 hours between 3-4 in the afternoon. Room 6 looked like the place to be with a separate seating area. Very charming Inn. Breakfast was very good as was evening wine and cheese. Parked the car and didn't need it for entire stay. Older property with all the interesting Carmel charm. Bathroom was small and could use updating but what do you expect when you go to Carmel? Bed very comfy. Would definitely come back.

Sadly, we only stayed one nght at this lovely hotel - next time we'll stay for longer. The hotel is small and really cosy, staff are really friendly, and the small touches like the evening wine and canapes, all day tea/coffee and cookies, and breakfast were lovely to come back to. Downtown but secluded, the Cobblestone Inn was a delightful pleasure. From the stone fireplace in the bedroom, turndown service, warm and polite staff - and unbelievably fresh flavorfilled food - this is the number one place for us to stay again in this village. I was terribly disappointed by the size of our room--very small. (We saw a nearby room when housekeeping was working, and that one was much roomier.) Also, the small TV was hidden in a small cabinet, when a nice, larger flat-screen would have fit well on the fireplace mantel (since the large, ornate mirror over the fireplace didn't fit the decor anyway […] and was useless). Also, the bathroom was small. I am also appalled at hotels that do not supply small coffeemakers, since I like coffee in the morning and in the evening. The included breakfast was nice but the staff seemed to have trouble replenishing empty platters. The complimentary wine and light hors d'oeuvres in the late afternoon were nice, though. I liked the style of the hotel, the flowers, and the courtyard right outside the lobby, but the cramped room and its amenities were disappointing. I would probably not stay there again. Mehr

We stayed two nights at the Cobblestone Inn. The accommodation was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was very good. The wine tasting each afternoon was a nice touch. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. We would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to others.

We felt the Inn was quaint and warm. The location was wonderful and we will absolutely recommend it to all of our friends. The neighborhood is nice and the location is great as it relates to shopping. Our only complaint was trying to walk ourbags up to the second floor with no assistance.

I was pleasantly surprized with cobble stone it was very nice and very reasonably priced. I will be staying there again.

Convenient, clean, and reasonable. Close to restaurants and shopping but hotel is quiet. Could walk to the ocean, but we drove and parked a few blocks away.

If you are looking for a comfortable, quiet and clean at a reasonable rate, I highly recommend this family run business. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. I am sure that with a little investment in a few areas would even make the Cobblestone a more sought out place to stay. Suggestions: 1) fix the lever blinds or replace as they are dated 2) update […] room -paint, eliminate wallpaper, 3) install sensor lights for outside hallways- will make it darker and also save elecity. 4) bigger investment: replace the hot water system Mehr

Cozy, quiet room with queen bed & exceptional linens. Snacks & wine at 4pm, beautiful breakfast at 7 am. A fireplace in every room.Highly recommended

Every thing was great except our room #20, had a faulty heating system that was old... that made noise all night and kept us up all night clainging and could not shut it off because it didn't have a thermostate.

It's been about 15 or more years than I last stayed here. It's not as quaint as I remembered it to be. Maybe it's because I'm older but I think also because it's a bit run down. The quality of the room was not bad, but not great. It looked like it could use a little work to bring it back up, particularly the bathroom. And the heater was soooo loud - […] we nicknamed it chitty chitty bang bang. Still, a nice place, particularly the stone fireplace. If it wasn't for this and better than average bedding, the inside of the room wouldn't be much than Motel 6. The location is great - only a block and a half from the top of Ocean Ave. But I gotta believe there are nicer places to stay. Not sure I'll return. Mehr

Very accomodating staff. Wine /snacks hour very well stocked ; sumptuos breakfast. Cozy room with fireplace very charming.

I stayed here and loved it. For the price, can't be beat. It is 1 block off of the best Ocean ave, and so easy walk to shops and restaurants. Staff great. Free breakfast and happy hour with food. Rooms small, but charming, and each decorated differently. Like a B & B feel, english manor. Fireplace in each room is nice touch. Parking can be tricky, only […] a few spaces, and then you have to park on street but not a prob for us. I plan to stay here every time i return. the hotels just a block away are hundreds of dollars more. Mehr

The breakfast was great. The personnel was very nice and hospitable.

We enjoyed our stay, the bed was very comfortable, the room very nice with fireplace. It is older and the room could use some upgrades. The breakfast was excellent as was the evening wine and snacks. We will stay there again.

The room was clean but worn. It needed new carpeting and new bathroom fixtures. Our biggest complaint was that it smelled like household cleaners and air fresheners. We want a clean room but not one that smells like a maintenance closet.

Nice little bed and breakfast. The complimentary breakfast was a plus and the wine and snacks in the afternoon were a nice touch. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area

Room smelled and was dirty. Left for another hotel since other rooms offered were in the same condition.

I booked the The Cobblestone Inn because my ususal place was booked. I feel lucky! It was clean, attractive, and very conveniently located. The breakfast was very nice as well. All in all, a great spot to stay in Carmel. I think it will be my new regular spot when I visit.

Delightful B&B within walking distance to shops and the beach. Room was comfortable and clean, had a fireplace! Breakfast was wonderful and above the average fare, also provided snacks and wine in the afternoon. Great place that we would highly recommend.

A great value and a pleasant environment for a short stay in Carmel. Free wifi and a hearty breakfast were added plusses. Will stay again.

Mysigt hotell, lite lurigt att hitta men fin frukost. Trevligt med eldstad på rummet!
