perfekter Ausgangspunkt für die Altstadt, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten. Echt top. Die Zimmer waren sauber, super schön. Etwas dunkel evt. Frühstücksbuffet war gross genug, alles tip top.

Bei der Wahl des Hotels für unseren Prag-Aufenthalt ( 3 Nächte) haben wir uns auf die im Internet gefundenen Angaben verlassen - und haben damit richtig entschieden! Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral nähe Altstädter Ring und auch nur wenige Minuten von der Karlsbrücke entfernt. Unser "Zimmer" (Junior Suite) war sehr geschmackvoll und antik eingerichtet. […] Der Service ist absolut top und sehr zuvorkommend - wir haben uns rundum gut aufgehoben und sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein Problem mit dem Safe wurde umgehend behoben, das Morgenessen-Buffet entsprach unseren Erwartungen. Fazit: absolut empfehlenswert! Mehr

We hoped for a charming hotel with character, and we were not disappointed. The hotel is just a few steps from Old Town Square. Our "Junior Suite Royal" on 3rd floor was spacious with a nicely painted wooden ceiling. Staff was attentive, spoke good english; the included breakfast buffet was varied and excellent. Minor flaws: there is street noise at […] night, with a "vodka bar" just down the street, so we had to close our window and use the air conditioning where we would have preferred an open window. I booked this place online and had a wonderful time! The room was HUGE! Two bathrooms, two couches, one pull out, and upstairs was a little loft suite. So nice when staying with three people. The location could not have been better either, right in town, around tons of fun restaurants, and a two minute walk from the town square. Stayed here for one night with a friend in a junior suite. It was perfect for our needs, but we had an adjoining room and you could here the people very easily. When you closed the door to the bedroom it drowned out the noise but from the "living room" you could still here everything. We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights with a double room. The room was very stylish and beautifully furbished with dark wood furnitures. The room provides slippers, electric kettles, complimentary coffee and tea which makes our life easy. The room is very spacious as compared to most of the hotels in Europe. The matress is King size and comfortable. Staff […] there are very helpful and speaks very good English. The breakfast is very good and delicious. The only down side is that though when I booked the room, it was stated with free wifi but it does not covered by wifi inside the room but only available in the hotel lobby, garden and breakfast room area. This is not a major problem to us and the staff also offerred to provide lan cable to us if this is required in-room. One additional good thing is that the hotel is very convenient, just about 3 minutes walk from the old town square, very convenient to all central locations. Staff's service is exceptionally good. We left early in the morning before the breakfast room is opened. The staff offered to pack two huge breakfast for us to take at the train, including a delicious sandwich, juice, and several fruits without additional charges. Everything is well planned for us. We would definitely stay there again if we had a chance to revisit Praque. Mehr

Stay there for five nights. They offered me an upgrade to a Royal Suite which I booked a junior suite. The room is huge and facdilities were adequate. Loction is very good. Only a few minutes walk to go to all attractions. Nice hotel, highly recommend.

Best hotel stay with reasonable prices and close to all landmarks area for sightseeing..... very happy family of three stay in a cozy room with free WIFI.

People contemplating this hotel should ask for a room not on the street. Noise from midnight drunks and the scraping of iron cafe chairs over cobblestones in the middle of the morning are not good for light sleepers. The staff were very loyal, honest, and helped you out very well, they arranged transport to the airport from their own van, spoke perfect english, and were charming. Registration procedure reminded me of filling in a National Sensus form, seemed to be far too lengthy in porocedure. Breakfast included was adequate in a charming cellar postition. It was well patronised. This hotel is different, don't expect the normal boring hotel traditions, here, the position and style of rooms are amazing, I heard many people opening their room doors for the first time and saying, "Fantastic". After reading various reviews we were nervous about staying here but honestly we loved this hotel, amazing location, stunning rooms, friendly staff. If I have any complaint at all it would be that the breakfast isn't great but I would most definately stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is ideally located in the centre of Prague and is within walking distance of all the main attractions. The hotel itself was excellent. We stayed in a Junior Suite and this was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. This small hotel is just wonderful. The location is perfect - a shortcut in three directions to places you want to go in the old section of Prague. We were fortunate to have a little terrace (the only room with one) in our suite that overlooked the charming inner courtyard where there was a restaurant. Colorful umbrellas and flowers made this a great […] place to just hang out, have a coffee or cocktail. The breakfasts were included and excellent. The staff was helpful in many ways. The room was called a junior suite - it had a sitting room with TV and armoire with coffee/tea and 'frig and sink. The bedroom was small but better than many. The bathroom was modern and spacious. We've stayed at this hotel twice. It's super convenient to the Square and other sites. Our two rooms were very different but both were junior suites and spacious for a European hotel. The hotel can be a bit challenging to find if you are driving. Recommend you get directions in advance or rely on GPS which worked just fine.

We loved this place. It had such charm and is so centrally located. The staff were great and the breakfast in the morning was perfect! Highly recommended!!!!

Great place to stay, in a great location near the clock tower, In a great City lots to see and a lot to do. Every one at the hotel was amazingly nice and very friendly and helpful. Definatly would go back and stay there again.

I was very pleased with the room and all the staff. they were very helpful about suggestions with places to go, how to get there, they even made reservations for me for my friends and I to watch American Football at a local sports bar. they went above and beyond all the time.

Excellent location and service. Rooms were good but do not be fooled by the pictures as the junior suite we were put in was clean but a little cramped as there were 3 of us in the room and one of the beds was a pull out sofa bed in the living room. If you want to stay in Old Town, then you can't go wrong with Iron Gate Hotel. Very close to the Old Market Square and shopping. Unfortunately, it's also close to all the other tourists and honky tonk. Still, it is a quiet oasis from the bustle and it has much charm. Service could be better and it is a 700 year old building.

The Iron Gate Hotel is very central and convenient to everything in Prague. If you are driving it is a bit of an adventure because of the one waystreets and narrow approach street but a GPS will get you there. They have valet parking. Beakfast was adequate. Our room was nice but was at the top and required climbing a lot of stairs. If this is an issue […] with you ask for a room on alower floor or one that is serviced by the elevator. Mehr

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place. Absolutely everything was sensational from the time we arrived until we left. Extremely well priced and high value, the hotel is absolutely beautiful. The location is perfect as it is walking distance from nearly every main landmark. This hotel has a lot going for it -- in theory. We had a junior suite, which would have been great except for 1 problem: we were in the attic. The elevator only goes to level 2, and we had to climb 2 steep staircases to get to our room. We asked to be moved, but staff could not/would not accomodate us. It was an okey hotell, we where promised an 54 squarmeters suit, it looked like av below avrage hotell room vist an ekstra bed. Not up till over expectation.

Perfect location. A little oasis. I am not one to rave...but this hotel is worth taking the time to comment. You will not regret a decision to stay here.

Our stay at the Iron Gate in Prague was one of the highlights of our honeymoon. The 15th century building is a highlight in itself but it’s the location that makes it so unique. Seconds away from the Astronomical clock, the hotel is in the heart of the Old Town but it’s location on a secluded back street keeps it private and quiet. We stayed in a […] suite and were happy with the size. The room was not luxurious by north-American standards but afforded a sense of history with its 600-year-old painted ceiling. The bed was comfortable and the staff was quick to clean the rooms and even offered a turn-down bed service. The breakfast was fine but didn’t provide much variety and didn’t change from day to day. This hotel is about a 2 minute walk from the Astrological Clock and the center of Old Town. The hotel is only a five minute walk to the river and the Charles Bridge. Our Garden Suite room had a large sitting area and kitchen upstairs. The resturant in the hotel had an enticing and delicous menu. The piano music added to the ambience of the whole dining […] experience. Staff very friendly, location excellent. Although the suite did have a sink and kitchen it came with no oven or microwave also no cutlery. No point to kitchen really. Room was very large and bathroom excellent, great spa bath. Lounge was old and worn. The indoor breakfast eating area was nit used by anyone as it smelt like a dog slept in the kitchen. […] Luckily it was good weather and we enjoyed eating out side in court area. Mehr

I liked everything about this hotel. The staff spoke perfect English and was very helpful in dealing with the airline to find our lost luggage. The location of this hotel was perfect. We could easily walk everywhere we wanted to go. I hope to go back to Prague next year and I will definitely stay in the Iron Gate again.

Excellent service. Great location. Very nice rooms. Had a duplex suite which was great. Only downside is that while it is 5 star, it does not have a gym. Great for couples - romantic.

hotel is more like a 3 star facility . the brunch was mediocre at best . it is a dark cavelike place. the rooms that we were shown were dark and dirty. there are far nicer and better 4 and 5 star hotels in prague. if they would have refunded my money i would have left the first day.

We were upgraded to the very cool tower suite from a royal suite. The suite was extremely clean and had great views from the tower. It would not be pratical or particularly safe for older individuals due to the number of narrow, winding stairs (4 floors). The bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and a roof top deck were all on the 2nd floor however. The bed […] was rather hard. The service and breakfast were generally good. My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights, and while they did not let us check in early, the did let us leave our luggage until the designated check in time. Rooms are ample in size, location is absolutley great, extremley close to the astronomical clock! Also, the night staff was extremely helpful in calling the train station for […] us to see if we could reserve night tickets to Vienna since the tickets I booked were for the wrong date. My wife and I would recommend this hotel anyone and everyone. It couldn't be in a more ideal location, very close to the Clock Tower and square, but just far enough away that the noise isn't an issue. We had a booking issue upon check in but the staff (Kate and Camela) worked it out for us without an issue or delay. Centrally located, close to most tourist stuff. Also, has a very good restaurant which was priced similairly to good area restaurnats but is more elegant--felt like a fine restaurant and the food matched the ambiance. Highly recommend both staying and eating there. However, it is good to get around.

A lovely experience, I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Prague. The rooms are beautiful and the staff is friendly and knowledgable.

This hotel was awesome. I was upgraded to a 3 room suite. The staff was very helpful. I do not recommend driving in Prague and would take a taxi to the hotel. I was trying to find the hotel and was plagued by one way streets, pedestrian zones, and general chaos of the city streets. I ended up parking and walking to the hotel. The Bellman went and got […] my car for me and parked it safely. Parking is expensive, too (30 Euros for one night). You can walk everywhere from this hotel, yet it is off the busiest streets. I ate at the Blatnice on the same street very reasonably with a nice staff. Mehr

Lovely, friendly, helpful, polite, efficient staff. The hotel was extremely clean and tidy. Beautiful room. Nice quality continental breakfast. Very handy to attractions as situated 2 mins away from the Old Town Square, pubs and very nice restaurants on a quaint quiet street.
