My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Marriot. It was a last minute trip, food was good, room was comfortable and staff was friendly. It is in the midst of large office building but once you go up Saunders Rd past Takeda's office building you will get to a nice shopping center with a great breakfast place called Butterfields - we went there […] every morning. This place has become our choice for accommodations in the north Chicago area on the weekend. It's top quality, comfortable, quiet and an extremely good value. It really can't be beat.

Pretty nice place. Stayed 3 nights and staff was really nice. Room was good everything was there.. except for free wifi and washroom had two doors one openin to the room which didnt have a lock and also washroom didnt have an exhaust. (I really didnt like those two). Everything else was perfect :)

I really enjoyed my stay at the Marriot-Deerfield. The rooms are very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable I slept like a baby.. I will be returning very soon...

My husband and I stayed at this location recently for a four day weekend to attend my son's graduation from Great Lakes Navel Station. The hotel was absolutely wonderful. The cook to order breakfast was excellent, and the front desk staff gave us great suggestions on where to eat and shop. The hotel was very clean. The only drawback is that it is located […] on a toll-road so most places that we went we incurred a toll to get on and off the toll-road, so make sure you have plenty of change. WE HAVE STAYED HERE MANY TIMES THRU THE YEARS AND HAVE FOUND IT TO BE FRESH, WELL MAINTAINED, AND OUTSTANDING VALUE! THE BREAKFAST BUFFET IS GREAT AND THE DESK AND CLEANING PERSONNEL DO AN ADMIRABLE AND PLEASANT JOB.

Very comfortable and very good value for money.

Excellent customer service!!! Since I walk in to the day I left.

This is the bargain of the century for the north Chicago suburb area on a weekend stay!

This hotel is great. The rooms are spacious and clean. The comfortable beds and pillows made for a wonderful night's sleep. My family and I have stayed here several years in a row and we have never been disappointed. Highly recommended.

The place looks nice but it is very deceiving. Once you look beyond the surface it is dirty and low quality. Food from room service is disgusting and over priced. When I arrived they told me that they didn't have a room for me although I had made a reservation for the room days ahead of time. The front desk clerk then made me wait about 20 minutes saying […] that he would try to figure something out. He offered me a room that wasn't actually a suite but a "conference" suite. He said for the inconvenience that he would throw in a complimentary breakfast for my trouble. I told him the offer was ok, but that I would prefer that he offer something else being that I don't really eat breakfast. Instead of doing the right thing by showing me customer service and offering me something that I could actually use, he INSTEAD told me that I should come down to the desk the next day and explain the whole thing again to the day clerk and that they would see what they could do. I went ahead and accepted because it was really late and I had alot to do the next day. In the middle of checking into my room the clerk flags me down and tells me that he thinks he has an actual room for me. I then wait in the lobby another 20 minutes. He does find me a room, but now I have to also move some of my belongings out of the old room. With their lack of organization and all of this running around it took me over an hour just to check in. The refrigerator in the room was old and run down, the tub didn't work and the bathroom was just dirty. This place was just gross and over rated. I would never stay here again. Oh and one more thing, NOTHING and I mean NOTHING was ever offered to me for my troubles. But what more should I expect from a hotel that can't even keep it's word about reservations that you make with them. Mehr

My husband and I enjoyed this hotel very much. It was a beautiful way to just get away for the weekend. We loved it so much, we invited another couple to come and enjoy a relaxing weekend. The service was great. The breakfast buffet had the best waffles I have we have ever tasted, it wasn't your regular continental breakfast. Thanks to Hotels.com for […] a very affordable getaway. Everything was perfect except that it needs to have free wireless internet in room and fan in the bathroom...

The hotel was amazing: the staff was friendly and helpful and the room was so much better than I imagined! I got the hotel at a fantastic rate (I couldn't believe it, really!) and the bed was simply wonderful to fall into after a long day. I just wish there had been a free continental breakfast.

were only there overnight so had no use of anything other than the room which was clean spacious and comfortable. Worked out well for us and we will keep it in mind the next time we need to stay in that area

Its great value for money if you get the discounted price. Free access to business center. Hospitable staff. Clean. Its far from downtown Chicago if one is planning to go site seeing etc

Room was beautiful. There were two full sized flat panel TV's which was great for the boys. Check in and check out were a breeze. Couple of flaws though: The bathroom didn't have an active air ventilator. The room description said 2 king sized beds and a pull out sofa - instead there was 1 king bed and a pull out sofa bed (king size). Finally, we were […] denied complimentary breakfast with the hotel staff stating, "due to your discounted rate, we will not offer this" - even though the info said it was included. Mehr

Surprised to see a $10 charge for Wi-Fi in this day and age. Most other chains do not charge anymore. Not a big deal just a surprise.

I really enjoyed my stay! The bed was wonderful!!! The room was very spacious and nice!! No complaints!

We stayed here for a weekend trip up to Chicago, and I must say...it was a fantastic experience! The hotel staff was more than helpful, the room was spotless, and the drive into Chicago was around 20-25 minutes. Overall this was a great choice of hotel, especially considering the price! My wife loved it, my kids enjoyed the pool, I loved everything about the place. Service, staff, room, price was great. Will come back soon.

This hotel was awesome, only downer for me was the per/day charge against my debit card for incidentals. I never use incidentals but I am still charged the fee. It takes several days to get my money back. Don't like this. If there is a choice in hotels I will take the one without this added charge that I didn't know about until I arrived.

The Marriot Suites was a beautiful place to stay. The room was extremely beautiful. The pillowtop mattress was heavenly. I especially loved the french double doors that served as an entrance to the bedroom. Our room was spacious. The enjoyed the heated whirlpool as well in the indoor and outdoor pool. I stayed here to go to Six Flags Great America. It was a great hotel with plenty to be happy about. First off, the rooms are huge. These are about twice the size of a normal hotel room with completely separate bedrooms and living rooms. Additionally, the bathroom has both a stand up shower and a tub. Service was also excellent. I bought a bottle of […] wine but didn't have a corkscrew. They sent one up to the room no problem. One drawback: The ondemand movies in the room cost 14.99. Bring a DVD/Blueray player (they have all sorts of connections on the tv) and rent from the redbox! Mehr

we have stayed here before because of its location and this hotel is a good bang for the buck;

I would recommend this hotel only for people traveling alone because of a major design flaw in the room layout. The bathroom has tons of extra space, but for some reason utilizes a pocket door which is impossible to open and close without banging around in the pocket. Then, once you are in there in the middle of the night with the door finally closed, […] you realize that the only light switch is outside of the room over the sink and you have to reopen the door. By now, everyone in the room is awake. Hotel is very quiet and clean and rooms are spacious. It was just extremely annoying that anytime anyone got up in the night to use the bathroom, everyone was awake. Mehr

We stayed at the Marriott Suites for three nights to be near family in the Deerfield/Riverwoods area. Our stay was very pleasant and we would definitely consider staying there again. While outside of the hotel was a little drab, the lobby, restaurant and rooms were newer, well appointed and clean. The king suite we stayed in was a little small compared […] to the Embassy Suites that we recently stayed at but it was manageable for five people (2 adults + kids 7, 4 & 1). The things I liked most about the hotel were the service (the person at the front desk remembered my name and room number about an hour after I checked in), the bed in our room and the breakfast buffet. Perfect for visiting family in Deerfield. Room was much like Residence Inn but nicer furniture and better quality bed. Food in restaurant was pricey and difficult to get service on the weekend breakfast. Wireless internet cost, in 2010, was irritating. and uncalled for. But all in all a good experience. This was an amazing value - probably because this seems to be a largely business type of hotel - so weekends offer great rates. No parking charges either!!!

This is a very confortable and affordable hotel if you want or need to be in the northern Chicago suburbs with easy access to good restaurants, shopping and hghways.

Hotel was convenient and comfortable. Staff was very polite and helpful. Price was great for the space our room provided. Loved the private bedroom. Would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff was excellent. We were close the all the attractions we wanted to see. We would stay here again.

This hotel is only good for business travelers with a car handy.

Professional staff and were greeted well. The room was very nice, but internet was no complimentary. The suite had 2 TVs. The bathroom was huge. Cons would include, unsupervised children in the pool and fitness area. Dripping wet kids trying to run on a treadmill barefoot. It was a GREAT hotel. Such a nice place, and cheap weekend rates. Pretty close to the city, but far enough. Great shopping in the area and good Chicago style restaurants in the area. I recommend this to anyone going to the Chicago area and in need of a GREAT hotel!
