horrible. 2 hours late getting into room as it had been 'busy', which one would think they knew about in advance to prepare, but ok .... nowhere to go along 4 lane highway, mattress shops, defunct motels etc, except at least a health food store and a Denny's. after a long day of travel I drew the line and went to the hotel lounge which was depressing […] and low rent. but all the people were nice and kind. no discount for checkin problems. also not for the fact that i was up all night due to some repetitive clunking/banging sound that the guy at the front desk could not track down at midnight, 2 am, 3 a.m. or 5 a.m. gaahhhh. I stayed in this property as my usual go to was sold out. It was clean, staff was polite and the room was suffice. Location was great and it had a restaurant which I heard was good but did not get a chance to check out. My only advice is to be cutious of a 'resort' fee of $12 which seem bogus. I don't mind paying what I need to pay but do not enjoy […] being nickled and dimed. Just put it in the rate. Otherwise the stay was great. Mehr

We didn't end up staying at this hotel, when we got there, the hotel looked run down, it was stuffy, hot and smelled terrible. The room was about 10 feet wide, and 15 feet long, with just enough room to get beside the double bed shoved into the corner. The bathroom as also tiny, with a bathtub about four feet long. Bed in room needed replacing, baseboards and corners needed cleaning, staff were very pleasant and helpfull. Location was very good.

Although we found the staff member at the desk very friendly and helpful, I would not reccomend this hotel. The electrical outlet in the bathroom didn't work, the water in the shower was warm not hot and the bath tub drain was slow. When we returned to our room after spending the day touring Victoria, the bed sheets and covers were pulled up on the […] bed, the pillows were left on the floor and the carpet had not been vacuumed. The hotel is non-smoking but still smelled like stall smoke. We were woke up both nights by noise coming from the lounge/outside pool area. Not a place to rest if you are entered in a marathon. Mehr

The hotel is conveniently located across from Mayfair mall, ( shopping destination), but some distance aways from downtown, where our activity centre was. Beds and bedding were clean and comfortable, although the pillows were the lumpiest we've ever tried to sleep on. There was visible dust on the TV cabinet as well as the rug surrounding it. I originally booked the room because i liked the location and it has a pool with a waterslide. I was bringing my 6 yr old grandaughter back to the island and thought before I handed her back she could swim. Then I read the reviews and thought 'Well it's booked so lets see'. And off we drove. We arrived at the hotel which was super easy to find. The […] front desk attendent was super friendly. His name was John. Our check in was quick and efficient. As was adding an extra night. We arrived at our room and were pleasantly surprised. Some reviews said it wasn't clean. Ours was definitely clean. The bathroom does need some renos but it also was clean. We had two queen beds and both were new and comfortable. We didn't hear the noise some people complained of. No next door tv noise nothing. Some of the reviews said it's to far from the downtown. It is about a 15 min walk but if you're on vacation who cares? And If you have a car you're there in minutes. The location is across from the mayfair mall and there are many restaurants in the area. We didn't have any internet issues. Didn't seem slow to me. Maybe it's received an upgrade. We felt our stay was pleasant. And we would stay again. Mehr

This hotel seemed nice via the web page and we were looking forward to a nice stay in Victoria. We were excited to find a hotel that was pet friendly for a decent rate. Upon arrival, we were checked in, although the gentlemen checking us in seemed a bit confused as to what he was doing. The room itself had a weird smell to it, and most of the smell […] came from the mattress itself. The bathroom had visible mold. The gentleman working the evening/night shift seemed indifferent to helping customers. He was sitting on the lobby sofas, and when approached by a customer who was having difficulty with the key instead of jumping up to help him, or taking interest in the problem, he continued to sit, and rudely said that he just needs to stick the key into the door. Several times I found this gentleman outside smoking and on his cell phone. Upon returning from supper and an evening out in the city, we entered the lobby to find the same gentleman still sitting on the sofa, with his girlfriend sitting in his lap, getting quite intimate. This is not something that anyone wants to see, especially a guest at a hotel. I felt quite uncomfortable and embarrassed for us as we entered the lobby, and we were quick to leave early that morning. Overall, I’ve received better service and a nicer hotel, for a lesser fee in Vancouver. Mehr

This Inn has a great Restaurant the food is good and lots of it, I would recommend it for food rather than Dennys down the road. BUT !! The room is in need of alot of work. There was no bathroom fan. The room is very stuffy and no air circulation. The bathroom fixtures , tub/sink toilet are all stained. The walls are paper thin and could hear the next […] door people yaking it up and the TV on all night. They alowed people who smoked in a non smoking room, they did go outside but we could not open our window for fresh air because the smoke came inside it. We were on the ground floor. The cleaning lady did tell us that was a issue, with staff and customers, smoking in that area. I would personnaly look for a different place. What we paid per night was too much. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. We asked to stay an extra night - on a long weekend no less - and they let us stay in our room for that extra night at the hotels.com special rate They were also motoorcycle friendly. Before booking this hotel, I called the hotel to ask whether breakfast was included in the room price and was told it was. But when we went to breakfast the first morning, the waitress laughed when we asked if it is included in the price. When I confronted the front desk personnel, I received only the dismissive answer that breakfast has never been […] included in the room price, which of course did not help my predicament much. He was very rude and not apologetic at all, nor did he offer me any kind of compensation. The room itself also left much to be desired. This hotel is really a 2 star and is a 30 minute walk from town centre. Clean and modest but in future we would book something closer to centre of Victoria. Staff were helpful and pleasant.

I spend one night here just to visit victoria. I was blown away when I got into my room, I wish I would've used it for more than just sleep 1 night. The room is huge, immaculate, you have a desk and free wifi for business, the bathroom has a tub. King size bed and it was the cheapest I could find! Location is ok, its just 10 minutes commute to downtown […] via public transit and if you use pacificcoach to get in and back to vancouver they can drop you off steps next to it (ask to be dropped of at mayfair mall). There's mayfair mall and a dennys next to it. This is certainly a gem. Mehr
