"Country Inn Coralville"
Beds are hard and had handicap shower with no water pressure. But the room and hotel were both well kept and it was a pleasant stay otherwise:)

Nice clean hotel, friendly staff, close to all the conveniences and love the hot soup in the breakfast area in the evening. That was nice touch. Enjoyed our stay.
"Great pool for the kids!"
Hotel was nice and quiet, breakfast bar and hotel was average, but the best part was the pool! It was clean and warm and we had it all to ourselves (we stayed on a week night). We have 2 children under the age of 5 and they both loved it! We would stay here again if we are in the area.

I really liked this hotel. Good pool and hotub. Good location for shopping and eating but a little far from University activities. Good breakfast facilities. Clean rooms. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. But thats my only complaint.
"Great place to stay"
The Coralville Country Inns and Suites is right off Interstate 80 near Iowa City, Iowa. Close by are a host of good restaurants, a megamall and another mall with a Kohls and Walmart. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, and a bottomless supply of really good cookies -- including peanut butter, chocolate chip (white and dark), oatmeal, and sugar.
"very clean, rooms nice hottub"
I enjoyed the hot tub, and inside pool, found the rooms alittle small, I had double queen, amd my son stayed one night with us, and they brought up a roll away, and there is real no room had to move mini frig, and dresser, i had climb over it to use restroom. Beds where comfortable, but i feel it was small though, my one complaint.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Lots of selection for breakfast (before 9:30). All in all, a comfortable stay.

I was in town for a show and was looking for a cheaper place to stay. I thought this place looked nice on the web site, so I booked it. I was very pleased with my choice. I have stayed in 7 different hotels in Iowa City/Coraville and this was one of the nicest if not the nicest, and it was the cheapest. The pool was warm and inviting, the hot tub was […] big and accomadating. Our room was spacious. We had a large family gathering and were able to use the breakfast area for pizza. The staff was very helpful and relocated our rooms closer to each other. My only complaint is that the beds were pretty hard. Other then that my stay was great. I will probably use this hotel again. "comfortable stay"
we called twice in the 2 days before we came to confirm we wanted rooms next to each other (suites were paid for). When we got there to check in, rooms assigned were on different floors and were just rooms, not suites. This was changed when we pointed out what we had scheduled/paid for; and we were not hassled about it but it was disappointing in that […] we had called the desk directly in the days preceding our arrival and were told "a comment would be made" and none was. The coffee maker was indeed a "single cup" maker, but not a Keurig-style as had been "confirmed" also in our calls, so the extra Keurig cups we brought were useless. But the staff once we got there was very nice and our stay was great; we had a large group in 2 suites and the sound-proofing in the suites was exceptional. Even the shower wasn't noticeable to the people sleeping in the bedroom or on the sofa bed. Mehr

"Loved the hotel, breakfast needs help"
Everything about the Coralville Country Inn and Suites was first rate. We liked it so much we arranged to stay another day to relax. However, the breakfast could have been improved. The food was quite bland and the eggs were kind of rubbery slabs. There was no microwave so we couldn't warm the bisquits for the bisquits and sausage gravy. We never saw […] the attendant if there was one. The breakfast is advertised as "complimentary" but lets face it, it is included in the price of the stay and we did not feel we got our money's worth in this regard. All this being said, we plan to stay at the Coralville Country Inn and Suites on future visits to Coralville. It is an excellent hotel but we will get breakfast at Perkins or IHOP. Mehr
"Dirty bathroom"
Overall the room was clean but the bathroom really got neglected by the maid service. Our room was considered a King Studio Suite....I'd really consider taking off the "STUDIO" part of it and just call it a King Suite...REALLY.

"Could use more maid service"
We stayed at this hotel because we were in town for a wedding and wanted a mini-vacation of our own. We didn't have to stay the night in town, but decided to stay two. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the knobs on the air conditioning unit seemed like they were off--it would shut off when put on 70 without keeping the room cool, so […] we had to choose between 75 and 60 degrees. The common areas, however, were a disaster. I have stayed in 3 Country Inn and Suites locations in the past 6 months, and only one hotel's common areas were clean. The hallways and elevator needed vacuuming, the elevator itself was musky, the pool and hot tub area had hair and stagnant water puddles all over the floor and the attached bathroom had muddy footprints and scraps of toilet paper everywhere. The free hot breakfast was decent, but the breakfast room is not cleaned during the breakfast hours (counters not wiped, etc.), the food is not replenished if it runs out, and even the hot things are cold. It was very dissapointing. As for location, the hotel is right off I-80, and only 5-7 minutes to downtown Iowa City. A Culvers shares the lot with the hotel, and a Walgrees is across the street. Mehr

My stay at the Country Inns & Suites in Coralville, IA, was a pleasant experience. The Hotel staff were friendly and courteous, the Hotel was clean and well kept and the room was comfortable and quiet. I recommend this Hotel to anyone staying in the Coralville/Iowa City area.
"Quick trip while on the road"
I thought it was a nice place, but a little bit high priced for what you get. The beds could be updated to more comfortable. I used my own pillow... feather. Missed breakfast because it was over at 9am... we got in about 12:30 - 1:00am... to tired to get up and get down there! should be until 11:00. :)

The hotel was great. Very clean, decently modern, and the staff was amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel again as the location was very good. The only complaint I had was with the continental breakfast. The hot food was not very good any of the 4 mornings I had it. If you don't mind sticking to cereal and yogurt then you will be fine. Overall this was a nice place to stay. The king suite had a nice small fridge and microwave, and a room to sit and relax divided by a half wall from the bed. Only downfalls were the bed- very uncomfortable, and the exercise room- 3 very antiquated machines. Staff was very friendly, and the breakfast foods were good. "Getting Away from the Heat"
I stayed 2-days during a high humidity / high heat wave and this hotel did not disappoint. All but one staff member was friendly. The room was clean and much cooler after I arranged the drapes from blocking the air. The free breakfast had hot and cold items that tasted great. Cookies were also available 24-hours at the front desk. The only negative […] was the guest laundry machines (one washer and one dryer) were really old and didn't work very well. It took two cycles to dry most of my clothes and still had to hang my jeans to dry. Despite this small issue, I'd stay here again. Mehr

"What you would expect"
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a wide variety of warm and cold items. The room was standard, though the plumbing could be a little loud. Overall, a point or two above a Hampton.

We were pleased to find the hotel with easy street access and glad to see it was close to a Walgreens. My daughter was glad to see the Goodwill Store nearby. My husband used the soaking tub and pool.

My wife and I were extremely pleased with the service at this hotel. It was very clean and well-kept, and the staff was very friendly. There were free cookies and hot soup available around the clock, and the pool and fitness areas were clean. This place was decent. I travel a lot. Every hotel has pros and cons. "Convenient I-80 access"
Location of hotel is very convenient. Were passing through on our way to Chicago. Comfortable room. Very helpful and friendly staff. After leaving we thought we had left a cell phone in our room. Called back, they had two employees go in the room together to look for the phone. They were very nice and didn't hesitate to help us out and take the extra […] effort. "Good service, lousy bed"
We asked to be moved from the room with the moldy smell, but the only room they had left was a suite with a king size bed and a pull-out couch. The bed was fine, but the couch bed was soft and uncomfortable. My wife and daughter did not sleep well on it. I would not recommend using the suite to sleep four people.

"Nice location, good hot breakfast!"
This hotel is located near Coralville's mall and other stores. The room was clean and the staff was helpful and nice. My ONLY complaint is the bed.....it was a rough night. My back hurt for days. The breakfast was wonderful....lots of variety! I would stay again, but might have to pay extra for the suite because those beds are firmer.

"Nice and homey feel!"
The breakfast was very good with a lot of variety. It was a nice touch with the cookies in the lobby upon checking in. A great location - near malls and restaurants. Only a short drive to the Univ. of Iowa. Room was clean and front desk staff was very helpful.

Though the building is fairly new and in a nice area, we were disappointed with the housekeeping and customer service at this location. In our first room, the bathroom had very clearly not been cleaned, and when we requested a new room, the front desk did not offer an apology. For the most part the hotel was great. The continental breakfast was good, the pool was warm and clean and our room was nice. However, being someone who has worked in the hospitality industry, I was disappointed in the friendliness of front desk staff. When we checked in the man at the front desk did not even greet us when I approached the desk. He […] barely even looked up when I greeted him. I'm not looking for anything over the top, but a "good evening" or a "hello, how can I help you?" would have been nice. I'd like to add the housekeeping staff was very nice and accommodating. Mehr
