in Verbindung mit einer Geschaeftsreise. Die Zimmer sind, wie schon beschrieben, sehr klein und da fast keine Schraenke vorhanden sind nur für einen Kurzurlaub zu empfehlen. Die lage des Hotels ist für einen Kurzurlaub aber Ideal. Alles in "walking distance" Die Preise für Speisen und Getraenke sind leicht ueberzogen aber es gibt ausreichend andere Lokale.Fuer Deutsche die, wie ich, laengere Zeit im "Mainland China" waren gibt es den "Biergarten" gleich um die Ecke. Für meinen naechsten Kurzurlaub vom "Mainland" werde ich wieder das Hotel buchen.

Das YMCA Salisbury Hotel liegt direkt an der Star Ferry in Hong Kong und hat damit wohl eine der besten Lagen aller Hotels der Stadt. Nathan Road, Star Ferry, Avenue of Stars, MTR - alles in direkter Umgebung und in Minuten zu erreichen. Das Hotel hat einen modern gestalteten Lobbybereich und Zimmer, die einem guten 3 Sterne Standard entsprechen. Für einen Stadturlaub genau richtig. Frühstück ist im Hotel ebenfalls zu bekommen.

Sehr gut für Reisende nach China, weil das Hotel direkt am Bahnhof liegt.Service gut, Personal freundlich, Zimmer sind sauber. Hotel kann sogar Visum für China arrangieren innerhalb von 2 Tagen. Leider kein kostenloses Wifi, ist sehr teuer. Fitnessraum und Pool sind sehr schön. Kostenloses Trinkwasser täglich erhalten. Uralte Fernseher mit Deutscher Welle usw. Adapter nicht kostenlos, sollte man kaufen.Fön fest installiert im Zimmer.

Den Besucher erwarten hier eine gut etablierte Kunstszene sowie eine Vielzahl von Restaurants, Geschäften und Unterhaltungseinrichtungen. Des Weiteren gibt es Mah-Jongg-Zentren und interessante Bars zu entdecken. Während sich in der Tai Yuen Street ein Spielwarengeschäft an das nächste reiht, kann in der Johnston Road und in der Luard Road Kleidung günstig erstanden werden. Der Bowen Drive ist besonders für Jogger und für alle diejenigen interessant, die nach berühmten Persönlichkeiten Ausschau halten.

"Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Time Square"
Sehr aufmerksames, gut geschultes Personal, gute Ausstattung der Lobby mit wires lan, auf dem Zimmer internet nur gegen Bezahlung. Zimmer sehr ordentlich,für kurzaufenthalte ausreichend gut ausgestattet. Buffet recht reichhaltig, insgesamt sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis.

"Top-Adresse in Hong Kong"
Das Hotel hat uns mehr als überzeugt, sehr guter Service, super Frühstücksbuffet, immer sehr freundlich. Auch am Check-Out Tag konnten wir länger bleiben, da der Flieger erst in der Nacht abflog. Wenn wieder Hong Kong, dann sicher in diesem Hotel.

"reinvention"
When I made the booking I knew this was a convenient location for the things our family wanted to do in Hong Kong. I only found out it was the former Xinua News Building. I began to anticipate rabbit warren sized rooms. We were happy to see that the rooms were simply, but nicely decorated. We had two queen size beds; they were firm and comfortable. […] The bathroom was a bit plain and there was a problem with the shower curtain/bath tub design as the water went everywhere - easily solved by laying out the towels before showering. Breakfast was included, but was nothing special - the dim sum was terrible. Regular restaurant service (lunch and dinner) was a much higher standard and has a good reputation amongst people living in Hong Kong. Wifi is an extra charge in the rooms but free in the lobby and hotel restaurant so the guests are all busy on their electronic devices. The hotel staff were alert to guest reqirements without being overly solicitous. This hotel doesn't have the bells and whistles of 5 star hotels in Hong Kong but was very comfortable for the week we spent in Hong Kong. Convenient shuttles, too! Mehr
"GREAT LOCATION"
WE HAD A TERRIFIC STAY AT TO COSMOPOLITAN. THE HOTEL WAS GOOD AND THE BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD. NOT OVER THE TOP BUT GOOD EDIBLE FOOD. THE SHUTTLE BUS WAS EXCELLENT. WHAT A GREAT SERVICE. THE TRAM WENT DOWN TOWN FROM OUTSIDE THE FRONT DOOR. WE COULD WALK DOWN TOWN FOR OUR EVENING MEAL AND IT WAS A 10 MINUTE WALK. THE SHUTTLE BUS STOPED AT TIME SQUARE […] AND THE MTR STATION IS RIGHT THERE.WHAT A FANTASTIC TRAIN SYSTEM. ALL IN ALL A GOOD STAY. Mehr

Very expensive room rate, but more importantly the hotel was clean although the rooms on the small size. I did not like the shower stalls which were too small and very small. Otherwise good hotel, due to fair over priced.

Ideal hotel for going to the Races but very busy, small rooms but very clean, cheaper rooms at the rear have no window, just frosted glass, very comfy bed, an awkward 15 mins walk from the nearest metro station, best to arrive by taxi, hotel was very busy with international 1 and 2 night stay tourists, but it's literally across the street from the Happy […] Valley Racetrack. Would recommend the Hotel Walden on Henessey Road, much better location and rooms just as nice if not nicer. Mehr

I have stay both at Cosmos and Cosmopolitan. I prefer Cosmos a lot better. Better furnishing better service and not to mention a bit cheaper.

I have stayed at this hotel before. Service is good but they always seem to be busy. The shower is tiny but everything worked and the room was clean. The one thing I noticed on both my stays here, it is difficult to get a taxi. During rush hour you will stand there for a long time waiting for an available taxi. They called one for me and it took 10 […] minutes. Other than that no problems and I will stay there again. Mehr

This hotel is in a decent location at a very reasonable price. The hotel is located in Wan Chai which is a bit of a distance from the Central area but they run various shutttles or you can get a #10 bus downtown in 15 minutes. The hotel staff were very helpful in answering our questions.

Quite close to a highway - permanent noise - rooms functional - good location with walking distance access to WanChai and Causway Bay

It was nice to stay in a hotel that felt comfortable while being affordable. The rooms are average size (reasonably large compared to some hoitels I have stayed in Hong Kong). The Cosmopolitan is handy to Wanchai and Causeway Bay shopping areas without being right in the midst of things, much more relaxing. It is a nice hotel, room was comfortable and […] very clean, and the bathroom was a much better size than many (I have previously had to stand on the toilet to shut the bathroom door just so I could get into the shower in some hotels). They have a shuttle bus which goes into Wanchai and to the MTR every 1/2 hour or so though it is only really a 5 minute walk anyway. I tried the breakfast one morning, good selection of different types of food as well as eggs cooked to your liking to order on the spot for you. Mehr

"Not bad for the price but not spectacular"
Tidy and not too old hotel opposite the racecourse. Bit of a struggle to get to when wheeling bags from the nearest MTR Station given the stairs and tunnels. A good 5-10 minute walk to Times Square and the Causeway Bay station.
Thank you for your comments, even though the hotel is only mere away from both Causeway Bay (8 minute walk) and Wan Chai (5 minute walk), in order to allow our guests could access in and out with luggage and children, Cosmopolitan Hotel also offers complimentary shuttle bus services contains 5 routes and directly to 15 hot spot in town including Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, Admiralty and Central. in addition, for guests who are eager to experiences a local uniqueness, a tram station is stop at hotel’s door step, certainly give you a muss and fuzz free trip in town.

Good lodation. 步行10分钟可以到达香港时代广场,酒店有飞机场的shuttle coach. 也有到时代广场的 coach. Crew are very nice. But the air inside the room makes me short of breath, if u do not like airconditioning. In general, based on the price, its good

The hotel was excellent, despite the small rooms - which I would imagine are common in most Hong Kong hotels. The customer service was excellent. The only problem was the lack of free wifi in the rooms - it was free in the lobby and restaurant but not the rooms. Stayed there 7 nights. Upgraded to city view which included breakfast. Great hotel, great value. Breakfast selection was decent but it was convenient to have it ready downstairs. We didn't leave the hotel in the morning hungry which was awesome. Hotel provided four different types of bottled water for free everyday. Location is 12 mins walk from times […] square and 15 from mtr. Hotel provided nice umbrellas when it rained. I highly recommend this place. Mehr
"Excellent service"
For the price we paid on Hotels.com, the hotel was above our expectations. Breakfast was superb,the view was breathtaking and the staff were always on hand to sort out any questions we had. Thoroughly recommended to anyone.

A small room with inadequate furniture located between a graveyard and heavily used tunnel on the one side and screeching lifts on the other certainly does not deserve any praise. The lobby was so unattractive that even a short stay in there was stessful. There was no room for taxis to stop in front of the hotel that made getting in or out of taxis […] dangerous. No wonder Hotel.com insisted on full payment in advance knowing fully well that they were peddling substandard services at exorbitant prices. Mehr
