Convenient location for medical appointments at St Boniface. Very accommodating staff. Restaurant great. Best night's sleep we've ever had in hotels:)))

Very clean and nice hotel, comfortable bed but the walls are paper thin, I could hear people in the hallway, people walking around upstairs or going to the bathroom in the room next door. Not a good place for someone that is a light sleeper.

This is a great all around hotel, friendly staff and comfortable rooms.

We recognized Sunday night, the same evening we checked out, that we forgot 2 items in the room, a cell charger and a face cream. I called and got told that nothing has been found. I was confused and called tuesday and asked for the manager. 1 hour later I got a call that the cell charger has been found. Funny, isn't it? The $30 face cream of my wife […] desapeared obviously. The cell charger arrived a couple of days ago by mail, what we apprechiate very much. Unfortunately we forgot to leave a tip in the room. We are sorry for that. If we would get that face cream back, we would go there and deposit a tip at the desk. Mehr

Clean, quiet, professional, above average restaurant. Small housekeeping details were perfect at mimicking higher priced hotels. Recommend!

The Hotel rating should be raised to 4 star! Highlights are the in house dining "The Jolly Friar". Very good fair. Local eateries are great as well. The area has a French culture identifiable with. Very convenient historical location. Walk to most places of interest. Access from airport is good. Thank you Norwood!

We have stayed here several times. We find that it is close to many places that we like to go to ie.resturants,musicals,plays, shopping,the Market, yet we are not in the core of the downtown Winnipeg area where we feel a little unsafe. We received a confirmation that a handicap accessible room was booked for us, however, when we arrivd at the hotel they did not have such a room availbelbe for us. No good.

Hotel was clean & comfortable. Restaurant food and service were good with a variety of other restaurants within walking distance. Location was good for accessing The Forks and downtown. The free parking was a bonus.

We were in town for our daughter's wedding so we only slept at the hotel and had breakfast in the "Jolly Friar" restaurant in the hotel. The meals were delicious and very inexpensive. They had a daily special for breakfast for $4.99 (not including tea or coffee). The other items on the menu were quite reasonable. We only had one problem and that was […] that our beds had not been made on one particular day but the room had been cleaned. Overall, I'd stay there again but wouldn't have minded a discount for a weekly stay. Mehr

This is one our favorite hotels to stay at while in Wpg. Reasonable rates, very friendly service, comfortable beds!

Excellent location. Can be noisy though - do not stay on the 2nd floor on theweekend as you may be over the banquet rooms. The first night there was serious noise and repeated calls to the front desk throughout the evening were not answered (including the one at 3:30 a.m.). Carpets, wallpaper, plumbing in dire need of updates and routine maintenance. Sink would not drain and toilet did not flush. Heating system was also noisy. We did not stay the second night of our reservation and Hotels.com refunded our money without any problem.

clean and new. staff is friendly. oit is a nice hotel. rooms are nly thing with this place is the price you pay they should a mic and or fridge in the room like other hotels do charging the same amount. close to shopping and bus routes

Comfortable, Clean, Friendly with access to a neighbourhood pub and a fabulous little restaurant for all meals. Super service. Close to hospital for visitors or those in for testing. Easy access to downtown, close to the French neighbourhood and historic St. Boniface.

Thank you. My stay was very enjoyable, the staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. The food in the restaurant was top notch. I would recommend staying at the Norwood to fellow travellers. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. See you next time I am in Winnipeg.

I write about is because when I set up my trip from vancouver to Halifax my main concern was the Internet. Expenive hotels want u to pay extra for it. Medium hotels offer it free to get u to come. Businesses often pay for Internet as a business expense. That's why hotels that cater To business travelers charge so. Much. It's absolutely a rip off for […] both business travelers & regular tourists. I have my own business but usually travel for pleasure. I love staying in nice places but must have Internet. So all of my reviews will concentrare On this as it was a requirement of my stay. That's it. Other than taking an hour To get On line (let's get real here) the Norwood was terrific. Mehr

Comfortable bed and fluffy pillows. Convenient location near the Forks, the river walk and St. Boniface cathedral. Had to call room service for the code, but had no problem getting their wifi on my Blackberry. Convenient beer store across the parking lot (for that, a fridge in the room would have been nice), drug store & McDonald's a block away, good […] Italian restaurant across the street. Can't imagine paying for those expensive hotels downtown, when just a few blocks across the river you can get the same thing PLUS a neighborhood with good food and a neighborhood feel. Mehr
