Super Lage vom Hotel, jedoch keine Profis am Empfang bzw. beim Service (nur Studenten). Das Zimmer unterm Dach (Nr. 316) war eine Zumutung. Nicht sauber, Klimaanlage steinalt, stand hinter der Tür, Fenster ging zu einer Musikkneipe raus, die bis morgens sehr laut war. Die Küche zum Frühstücken hatte ab morgens die Türen offen, Klappergeräusche, Gespräche […] etc. Es nervte sehr. Wir waren froh nach zwei Tagen wechseln zu können in einem Raum wo wir nichts zu beanstanden hatten. Mehr

There was no air conditioning so the room was excrutiatingly hot. We had booked an executive room but upon arriving were told that there was none available so we were given a standard room with free breakfast. We were disappointed with the room as well as the breakfast and checked out a day early. The hotel was difficult to find and parking was almost […] non-existant. Despite the wheather all was arranged well. Luckliy we found parkingspace 20 mtrs from Hotel. For 10 Euro we parked from Saturday till Sunday.

I really liked the location and rooms at this hotel. The room was a bit warm (even though it was quite cool outside). The bed was adequate and service was very friendly and helpful.

Modern, convenient and well positioned hotel let down by poor shower fittings and screen and totally inadequate lighting in room.

This was an awesome stay! The staff were very helpful. Parking was a bit challenging but the staff helped us out with figuring it out. They were awesome in helping us find our way around. We didn't want to leave!

What a great hotel! The staff were fabulous, add the location and you have the perfect place to stay in Ghent! Make sure you check out Graveensteen Castle which is around the corner, I think it's one of the coolest things I got to see in Belgium! The breakfast was worth the $20 euro, there is a great selection of food: even for us vegans... the view […] is amazing, and if you have a later breakfast you may get to meet the pet seagull, he is a character and quite entertaining. The bar has a happy hour 5.30 to 6.30 which makes the already cheap beer very cheap! Mehr

Kind of unhelpful staff, and this is a hotel that clearly goes out of the way to charge you for everything they can as a separate service. In general though, good location and a nice room so no major complaints (but nothing to really recommend it either).

this hotel is in a great spot in Ghent. It is just off a large square with lots of restaurants and bars, and within easy walking distance to the main sights of Ghent. Our room overlooked the canal. Breakfast was really good - plenty of choice and plenty of it. The only bad thing the pillows were not great. When we were leaving we were charged city tax. […] we were not expecting this. Mehr

This is a nice Hotel and was located in a great area. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was above average.

Easy to find and very easy to access the city. Very pleased with this choice.

Had a lovely stay - nice room and very nice bathroom. Just make sure that you are aware that the breakfast is ADDITIONAL at Euro 20 per person, which they do not tell you when you book in. They only give you the times of the breakfast and we assumed it was included, so we had quite a shock when we had to pay the extra when we checked out. We stayed at the Ghent River Hotel for the Ghentse Feesten this year and had a great time. This hotel was right in the middle of everything and in close proximity to many good beer bars. The beds were comfortable and the room was big compared to many others in Europe, including the bathroom which actually had a tub in addition to a small but sufficient […] shower. I had read complaints about the noise during the festival but our room was in the back and we had absolutely no problems sleeping. Mehr

The Ghent River Hotel was great. The location was excellent. Our room looked over the canal which was lovely and scenic but there is near-constant traffic of tourist boats during the day. It didn't bother us and wasn't loud enough to bother the baby. We opted for the inclusion of breakfast in our rate and you would be insane not to get it too. They […] prepare a generous buffet in a beautiful top floor dining room with a charming deck and views. The front desk staff we interacted with was highly competent and friendly from before our arrival through the five-night stay. It was an excellent value. Mehr

A comfortable, well appointed hotel right in the middle of historic Ghent. Clean, comfortable rooms and an excellent continental breakfast. Cooked option also available. The carpet in the ground floor lobby is tired and marked which gave a poor first impression. However, the rest of the hotel was good. Excellent service from all of the hotel staff.

Would not recommend standard rooms - best to get a deluxe. Breakfasts were good. Also you would want a river view (not sure if you can select this option via hotels.com).

Enjoyed our stay. Beautiful place. A quiet, clean and comfortable hotel. Close to and within walking distance local attractions, resturants and trams. My only complaint was that room didn't offer coffee and tea facilities but local cafes fixed that problem!!

Quiet, clean and nicely designed new hotel in an old quarter, adjacent to the Friday Market. Lovely river view. Very good breakfast buffet.

Clean and best location in Ghent.....within a 3 minute walk of Gravensteen Castle and all points of interest

The room was very comfortable and within walking distance to historic old town Gent. The staff was very friendly.

Hotel is very quiet and in a picturesque area of Ghent. Room was nice and the bed quite comfortable for a European hotel. Also liked the steam shower.

Pænt og velholdt hotel. Ligger ved siden af en ungdomsklub, hvor der var meget støj fra unge, der opholdt sig på gaden.

Bien mais cher pour une chambre au RDC donnant sur rue face à une maison des jeunes bruyante.Fenêtre au ras du plafond. Petit déjeuner prix prohibitif

Les prestations ne sont pas du tout à la hauteur d'un 4 étoiles : forte odeur d'urine dans la salle de bain, papier peint décollé dans le couloir, auréole d'humidité au plafond et on entend les chambres voisines comme si on y était ! Prix excessif par rapport aux désagréments constatés... Je ne recommande pas !

Prima ontbijt alles was aanwezig , vriendelijk personeel .

Hotelli oli käytännössä ihan keskustassa, mutta koska ihan vieressä ei ollut baareja, se oli aika rauhallinen. Huone kannattaisi pyytää ylemmistä kerroksista, niin ihan katupuhe ei kuuluisi huoneeseen. Aamiaista emme ottaneet, siitä ei ole mitään tietoa. Henkilökunta ystävällistä ja erittäin siisti paikka. Ainut huono puoli oli, että ratikkaan sai kävellä […] parin korttelin verran. Suosittelen tätä paikkaa. Ghentissä on heinäkuun lopulla 10 pv festareita ja nyt rakennettiin lavoja. Kaikki aukeat ovat täynnä rakenteita, joten parempi vierailuaika saattaisi olla kesäkuussa. Mehr

Hotellet levede op til vores forventninger. Rent og dejligt værelse og lige rundt om hjørnet ligger den charmerende plads med flotte bygninger og caféer. Vi sprang morgenmadsbuffeten over da den kostede 20 euro pr. person (det var ikke incl vores pris).

Mooi verzorgd hotel in de nabijheid van de vr ijdagmarkt, dicht bij de de historische omgeving, vooral het vriendelijke personeel viel op. De mooie verlichting van Gent 's avonds is een aanrader voor een avondwandeling.

Een goed hotel, dichtbij het centrum van Gent en dus een prima uitvalsbasis De kamer die wij hadden was ruim en comfortabel. De aanmerkingen die wij wel hebben, het hotel is gehorig en de schoonmaakdienst kan wat zorgvuldiger zijn met het opruimen van de gangen. Nog laat op de middag vonden wij waszakken en karren in het gangpad. Dit is voor een 4 sterren […] hotel een beetje slordig. Verder is de prijs voor het ontbijt aan de hoge kant (€ 20 p.p.). Al met al is de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding daardoor uit balans. Mehr

Kamers zijn ruim, maar wel wat zakelijk/somber en moeilijk te koelen ondanks de aanwezige airco. Bij aankomst werkte deze niet en sliepen we de eerste nacht in een soort sauna. Badkamer is ruim, maar aan onderhoud (schimmel!) toe. Ontbijt/ontbijtzaal uitstekend, met dakterras en prima service. Omliggende buurt - met name de Waaistraat - is bizonder […] lawaaierig vanwege schreeuwend uitgaanspubliek, de hele nacht door. Receptie: vriendelijk, maar ook wat erg jong (werkstudenten?). Geen parking, op straat betaald parkeren. Mehr

het hotel was prima, enige minpuntjes waren dat de kamer erg warm was en dat ondanks het onvolgen van de instructies op de thermostaat, de verwarming niet lager te zetten was. Ook was het een verrassing dat bij het uitchecken ineens nog toeristenbelasting extra betaald moest worden. Verder prima locatie, prima service en prima ontbijt !

Hôtel situé au centre historique de Gand avec un parking (10 € les 24h) à 50 m sous la place du marché. C'est un peu dommage pour la propreté de la chambre, sinon c'est un hôtel que je recommanderai sans problèmes car il a un cachet certain !

prima hotel in het centrum van Gent. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk. De bedden lagen goed. HEt was alleen erg warm in het hotel omdat de verwarming erg hoog stond.

De ligging van het hotel is super. Je bent echt zeer centraal. De kamers zijn keurig, alleen wel klein. Verder vonden wij het jammer dat het hotel geen uitzicht heeft, zelfs het terras zeer besloten. Verder alles keurig verzorgd, de receptie had iets vriendelijker gekund.
