This is OK place for the purpose (overnight stay close to Newark Airport or Newark Penn Station for those exploring New York). Too bad they're making renovations now, with all construction smells and noises.

close to airport. very clean, only problem was lack of a restaurant in or around hotel. the hotel did have a bistro with a limited menu and very high prices.

Everything was great about the hotel except for the location. Getting to and from the hotel is a nightmare. Even with GPS help I still got lost multiple times and everyday because of the maze of highways and on-ramps. As the desk clerk said it's a 'spaghetti bowl' of highways. I hate to say this but I ABSOLUTELY would not stay here again because of […] that. It's very close to the airport and convenient in that regard but getting there is 90% of the battle. In addition there are no restaurants or shops near the hotel. I would like to stay here again but it isn't worth the hassle. Next time I'm staying somewhere else. Mehr

Made an early flight convenient and easy.

The hotel was very difficult to find. Also, as soon as I entered my room, there was a very pungent odor that did not dissipate for the duration of my stay. I had to open the sliding doors in my room to counteract the smell and turn the heat to 77 to make the room comfortable enough to stay in the entire time i was there.

Lobby area is great to meet with co-workers and associates. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They have Starbucks on site, however not all staff is trained to make it.

We drove in circles for an extra hour trying to find this place. As did our friends who came the next day. GPS will not help! Also we requested a micro and fridge 2 months in advance as well as each of the 4 days we stayed and never recieved either. Would not stay here again.

One of my favorite place I stay when in the area.

Impossible to find this hotel. Front desk assistance not helpful. Also, advertising that there is shuttle service to the airport is a lie. It only takes you to the shuttle drop off point, which means that if you have lots of luggage, you are lugging it onto the Airtrain. Never again.

This is a very average business hotel. While the interior decor is decent and the rooms were reasonably clean, it is not a luxury hotel under any definition. Getting to and from the hotel was a problem. Both taxis and limos had a very difficult time finding this hotel. Apparently the hotel address does not appear on GPS systems.

Good hotel with ok service and perfectly situtated near the airport with fast shuttle. The only downside was that the pool didn't open until 6am. Jet-lagged young kids would have loved to take a swim at 4am...

Good clean hotel with all the amenities you'll need. Stayed for a week during the Christmas holidays. Easy access to NYC using the free shuttle to the airport and then the trains into PENN station. I'd stay here again for sure.

Despite checking the sheets and mattress the night before, I woke up to numerous itchy red bites on my arm, leg and torso. There was no visible evidence of insects but I certainly had the marks to prove something was in that bed! I reported it and showed the bite marks to the staff.

We stayed two nights at this hotel our first night was in a room that smelled of copious amounts of some sort of deodorizer We were going into the city for a couple nights then returning to the same hotel. Before we left we asked for a different room and explained why. It seemed to be all set. When we came back from the city they attempted to give us […] the same room. Then we were told they could only give us an accessible room. That was fine with us however what if someone came that might need it. We were then given a nice room on the second floor. Almost immediately I don't know. Just felt hotel staff were not being honest and that because we booked through hotels.com we were being placed in worst room available. Mehr

The lobby is wonderful, with seating spaces equipped with electrical outlets for laptops, and TVs. The Wii setup is also fun for families. The rooms are spacious. It's just easy to miss the location with all the highways and ramps around Newark airport. We spent close to two hours trying to find the hotel on our second evening, and GPS even wasn't […] very helpful. Mehr

When I booked this room online, I requested a cot in a room with 2 queen beds for a family of 5 people. I even called the hotel 3 days before I arrived and they told me they got the note and there would be no problem. When I arrived (at 1am) they told me the room was too small to have a cot in the room. Wehad to have 3 in a bed resulting in less than […] 3 hrs sleep before our 5 am wakeup call... would not recomend this property Mehr

You need a gps to locate hotel

The hotel is very close to Newark Airport but the tricky part is to get to the airport. It's right off US 1 and 9 South so before heading make sure u call the hotel and ask for specific directions. Besides that room was clean and comfortable. Good stay for the money spent.

I was very unhappy when we arrived to find a couch as our option for 2 grown people to sleep. The room was crowded and we had to call for service to give us sheets and blankets. I had to tell the man who came with the sheets to make the couch up instead of leaving it for us to do. I had to also ask him to bring a pad for the mattress and not just put […] on a thin sheet. We were expecting a king and a double not an UNMADE COUCH pull out. Starbucks is nice but Hampton provides a decent breakfast which we like and Marriott doesn't. The location was not easy to get to and the bus shuttle service from the Airport was very slow. We were told we would be waiting 15 minutes and we waited over 45 minutes in the cold . Mehr

Good hotel with helpful staff. You do hear the booms of the takeoffs and landings. Only issue was a slight mildew smell in the room that seemed to come from the carpet.

After 15.5 hours travelling from Cape Town, South Africa, we couldn't wait to adjust to the time change and prepare ourselves for another 5.5 hours in the air, and another 3 hours time change, back to Seattle. We appreciated the Courtyard service; from airport shuttle driver to front-desk clerks, to housekeeping friendliness. And...my wife wants to […] purchase one the more-than-comfortable mattresses! The hotel was clean and room was spacious. The beds were comfortable. The only problem we had with this hotel was it was hard to get to. It took us 2 hrs to get to the hotel that was only 10 minutes away from New York.

Once getting close to airport & hotel, it took us an hour to find hotel.Drove past it 3 times but couldn't get to it. Its on a slip road, GPS can't find, hotel employees could not give accurate directions. Rooms don't have refridgerators unless you're in suite. Have 3 kids, so will be careful to read description better next time. Hotel staff were friendly […] & helpful. Mehr

I was only there for a day between days of travel. Everyone was extremely pleasant from the time I caught the shuttle at the airport and the environment very attractive. Bistro service and food was also very good.

Shower water is a bit stingy.

Overall very nice hotel. A little bie difficult to find, but the perfect option and very close to Manhattan

Good location

Arriving in Newark it is perfectly situated and through the complementary shuttle bus connected to the airport. All was very positive including pool, outside launch area, good breakfast facilities. The only downside is, that you need a car to exit from the hotel and taxi fare is very high as special rate in the airport sorrounding

We stayed there for just one night awaiting the flight next day morning. No access to outside shops or restuarants since it is on the side of the highway. Otherwise it was fine

We stayed here for just a few hours after a red-eye flight. It served the purpose for that just fine. The breakfast service was overpriced and the service was underwhelming. The shuttle service to and from Liberty Airport worked well for us.

We stayed at this hotel because it is very close to the Newark Airport. I read a number of the reviews that it was very hard to find, but we didn't have any problems. The hotel had been renovated and was very nice. Our stay was fine except that our vehicle was broken into. We were smart and didn't leave any valuables in the car, so nothing was stolen, […] but I now have to pay to get my car fixed. The parking lot does not have a fence around it, though it does have a "security guard", but obviously, that did not deter the low life scum who broke into our vehicle. We even parked under a night light, but all that did was give thieves better light to work by. Our hotel room was on the side of the building opposite of the security guard, so if you stay here, make sure you park on the side of the security guard. Mehr

We were pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. The hotel staff was efficient, courteous and professional. The room was comfortable with all the amenities one would expect. We were pleased to find there were computers and printers available for us to print boarding passes, newspapers to read in the lobby and although we did not check them out, […] computers that looked like one could surf the net, etc. The Bistro had a good assortment of food and beverages. The hotel was okay. The location was also okay. Wish the sign was bigger along the road entrance. It took us almost one hour to find the hotel. We have to get a direction from the Marriott Hotel by the Liberty International Airport. Overall the service was good. The attendants were very courteous and helpful. We will stay there again should we have […] the chance to travel in New Jersey. One more comment, our coffee maker was not working properly at our rooms. We have to get our coffee from the lobby. It was a minor thing though. We wish we had a free continental breakfast. Mehr

My only problem was locating the hotel. Very confusing trying to find the hotel after leaving and then coming back. Second time staying at this hotel.

Access to the hotel is not as easy traveling south of the airport (on U.S. 1), as it is traveling north of the airport (on U.S. 1). Watch the signs and don't second guess yourself!!
