Beach Paradise Hotel - Miami Beach

Great location and price for our stay on a Friday. A little run down and rude front receptionist.

I initially had an issue with the original room I was given but upon informing the staff of the problem they quickly corrected the situation. The location is perfect and we had quick access to the beach and the bars/shops on ocean dr.

I stay for two nigths at this hotel. It looks horrible inside. Location is very good. I would not stay there again.

great location very modern rooms not a very modern lobby took 25 minutes to get two towels, leaking air conditioner. Men in hotel were nice and very helpful. Women not so much.

This Hotel/Motel is all about the location because the room and Hotel are sub-par. If you dont care about comfort and are just looking for somewhere to shower and sleep then this is the hotel for you but if your looking for comfort and class you'll need to go up the strip. I stayed 3 nights. After my first night I called the front desk around 930am to request that my room be cleaned first because I had company coming. The young lady informed me that wouldn't be possible. Luckily I saw one of the house keepers in the hallway. I asked her if she could possibly clean my room first. She agreed and made a note of it on her […] clipboard next to my room number. I left for approximately 2 hours and came back around 1130am just before my company arrived and the same lady acknowledged me as I went inside my room (she was cleaning the surrounding rooms and my room was still dirty. I frantically made my bed but still had no clean towels or fresh toilletries. My company arrived and we left for the beach and came back to the room at 6 pm....Still no towels no toilletries. Nothing had been done. So I had to get some from the desk assistant. The next morning I left for key west at 630am and came back around 930 pm that night. My room had NOT been touched. When I called the front desk to ask why she informed me that there was a "do not disturb" sign on my door. So of course I explained to her that that wasn't possible because I was gone all day. She went on to tell me that many times people accidentally close the door with the sign sticking out. Not only is that ridiculous but I didn't even have a do not disturb sign anywhere in my room much less on the door. She then "kindly" brought up towels in toilettries. The room was very decent but don't expect any type of service. I was very angry that I had to clean my own room two days in a row. Mehr

I found a strand of hair that was not mine in the hand towels two days in a row. The bed sheets had some kind of strange stains on them that looked like blood. The floors had not been cleaned well when we got there. The bathroom door did not close at all. The toilette had some stains on the inside...not sure if it wasn't cleaned right or if was stained […] permanently. The elevator smelt really bad...do not attempt to close the metal door since it closes by itself when you push the button to the floor you want to go to. You cannot regulate the temperature in your room so you will either be hot or cold! I will be looking to stay in another hotel next time I am in the area. Mehr

The appearance at first was scary. The lobby looked bad and not renovated at all. The elevator was just as from theme park and looked like could be used for Halloween horror nights. It's original elevator since the building was built. The room surprised us it was clean and comfortable. The bad thing it did not have air condition control so we were freezing. […] There were not enough towels and no towel for the feet so you have to step out on a cold floor. Make sure to have your own toiletries because all you get is soap and shampoo no conditioner or body wash. But can not expect it for the price. The shower has only half glass so the water was getting on the floor. The appearance is not bad and the sheets did not smell like in a lot of similar small hotels in sobe. I very much dislike flowery sheets and this one was white. If you are there to stay on ocean drive or the beach the location is great but if you are there for clubs it's a little further. We crashed there only for 5 hrs of sleep so it was great. For the low price is worth it ti crash there if you go clubbing. Wouldn't stay there for vacation. It has it's own pluses and minuses but you get what you pay for. Mehr

Hotel was good for the money it was old. Elevator it was from the 80's something that we notice that on Certificate of Permision it had that EXPIRE on 09/30/2007 how nice was that. NO WIFI in Rooms Only Lobby

This hotel isn't the best hotel on south beach but it's manageable. Soon as we walked in, I said "hell no"! The lobby doesn't good at all and the hallway looks bad as well....and it's smell like mildew. But when walk into the room.....wow what a big difference! The room looks great and smells ok. The location is perfect! Everthing is in walking distance […] and the service was wonderful. So, I said this is south beach, baby! My wife is big on quality hotels, so I asked would she come back to that hotel. She said yea because 90 percent of your time is on ocean drive having fun. All I say, don't look at the lobby or hallway but Focus on the location and cleanness of the rooms. Honestly, you will not be in there anyway. Mehr

This is the perfect place to go if you like to stay in motel style hotels. Me and my husband thought that this place would be a great place considering the fact that their website shows it. The rooms are spacious but the closet in our room had no door. The ironing board sat up in the closet opened because it couldn't close. The washing machine where […] they washed the towels and washcloths was broken. When we woke we up one morning, there were roaches in our bathroom. There is construction going on in the neighborhood so every morning you will wake up to banging noises and drilling. The tub did not have a shower curtain but instead had half of a glass door that you couldn't move because it was glued to the wall so water splashed all over the floor when taking a shower. When u get to the lobby u might think is gonna b a bad hotel... But hey! It's SOBE!! When I entered my room I loved it!!!! Huge!!! Everything new, clean!! For the price is wayyyy more that I expected !. Awesome location. I'm staying there again in 3 weeks.

THE HOTEL HAS A GREAT LOCATION..THE STAFF IS COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL..ROOMS ARE SPACIOUS BUT NOT MUCH LIGHTING IN ROOM 304 THE PRICE WAS VERY FAIR....RENOVATIONS ARE BEING DONE CANT WAIT TO RETURN.....THANKS TO ALL HOTEL STAFF

The hotel apparently is in the middle of renovation. I stayed with my wife for our 2nd anniversary. The rooms are nice and comfortable... Of course some neighbors are loud... But you are in South Beach, where parties end around 5am. The elevator is kinda scary ...The hotel is at a walking distance to all south beach attractions!... Restaurants, bars, […] and of course the beach. What I would recommend to the owner/manager... Is to replace that old school deli/food store they have on the first floor for a nice restaurant like all the other hotels in that same street. Mehr

This hotel is horrible! Thank god its close to the beach... or else it would be a major bust.

This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. During my 5 day stay I saw 4 ROACHES and 3 SPIDERS. On top of that the housekeeper put my 4 evening gowns on the floor while she made the bed and left them there (on the roach infested floor) for me to find when I returned to my room. UNACCEPTABLE. I immediately filed a complaint with the front desk. […] The housekeepers were TERRIBLE. They never replaced our soaps and we never got new toothpaste(even when the soap and toothpaste tube was clearly low). Housekeeping was also NOT cleaning the tub or the sink. Everyday we would see the same residue on all surfaces from that morning. UNACCEPTABLE. All they did was make the bed and give us odd numbers of towels(some towels with stains). One face towel, one hand towel, 2 body towels. So who gets the face towel? Who gets the hand towel? Every hotel I've ever visited gives you an even number of towels, clean towels, 2 face, 2 hand, & 2 body, for the TWO guests who are staying in the room. Who knows if they even changed the sheets. And the sheets were bumpy with lint balls and they had blood stains on them too. UNACCEPTABLE. How old were those sheets they gave us? If your linen is no longer white and you are an establishment that is providing white linen to your guests, you must inspect the linen daily and you must throw away all items that do not meet the "clean white linen" requirement. We also never got a floor towel or rug for the bathroom. So when we stepped out of the shower we practically flooded the bathroom floor. The housekeeping was terrible. But that's not all...The room itself was the very first turnoff. It was so small. I mean too small. There was NO CLOSET, NO TABLE, NO CHAIR, NO IRONING BOARD, so we had to iron our clothes on the bed! NO place for me to put my laptop, NO place to eat. The lighting was terrible too. At night it was so dim in the room. There was one little sky light and a broken lamp. The TV was not a flat screen like in the photos online. It was a Mehr

Only bad thing is it wasn't as clean as I d like but it wa s a huge room spacious for the price... great party location ... Cool staff I would recommend this to anyone thats looking for a great deal in a great location and a really decent sized room.... Went with a group of guys and they all said the same thing

The room was large but did not have an AC. The room and hallways smells of weed.

no parking, no pool. no restaurant. but there is plenty restaurant in the area. the hotel was cheap. it was worth the money.

We didn't arrive until around 3 am and had absolutely no problems getting checked in. The staff was friendly, bed was comfy, and the location was awesome! Even though we didn't spend much time in the room, I was completely satisfied and will definitely be returning next time.

We booked this hotel for one night because we needed something cheap. It was indeed cheap but I would not stay here again. It looks like they haven't fixed or updating anything in about 15 years. The whole place smelled, the walls in our room were badly water damaged with bubbles and peeling paint, the bed rolled away from the headboard any time we […] moved, the walls are paper thin and the elevator is plain creepy... spend a few extra dollars and stay at a different hotel. It was clean, quite and reasonable...no bells & whistles...no coffee or breakfast but the location was great! Right across the street from the beach, the rooms were nice, clean & comfortable with 2 exceptions: 1.) that they really need to do something about the location of the t.v. Way too high up and in one of my rooms it was to the side of the bed […] which made it really uncomfortable to watch..2.) the parking lot ~ did not like the mess in the back and the untidy enterance, was a little scary at night...but all in all, I liked it and would stay again. I would definetly recommend it if you are looking to stay on the beach and not spend alot of money for a nice room! :-) Mehr

Oh where do I start!!?? First of all...3 star hotel? Let's say it could be a -3 star MOTEL! Ignore all the previous "good" reviews because they were most likely posted by the owner/employees. If you were thinking of staying here because of the price/location?!?? DON'T do it! Save your self from agravation, starting with trying to park your car (behind […] the motel) in an area of MAYBE 10 spots for about 60 rooms! From the parking lot we walked around the block to get inside the motel to get check-in and it was hot inside!! I should say the receptionist was nice and courteous; she handed us our keys....they were regular house keys because they're not electronic yet; what do you expect from a motel!! We walked 3 stories stairs to our room and when we tried (yes it was a strugle because the door was dragging on the tile floor so my husband had to push it open with his shoulder)to opened the door; we were welcomed into the bathroom! Yes...the sink in the bathroom was the first thing we saw; followed by the tiniest motel room I have ever being in! It fit the one queen size bed and 2 night stands that's it. The room felt warm so we looked for the thermostat/AC unit...we quickly realized...there was none!!! We called the front desk to ask about it and they informed us that they controlled the temperature for each floor! By this time I really needed to get out of there; I wanted to cancel the reservation but they don't give you your money back. We decided to go get a drink to help us deal with the disappointment. I needed to get something from my car so I asked the receptionist if there was back door access to the parking lot, she pointed to a stair way that led us to the basement, then to the laundry room (with one washer, one dryer) then up another stair way to the....dumpsters and some horrible sewer smell!!! Aahhhggg we stayed in the motel but will never stay there ever again. I rather pay a little more money and get something more decent. Mehr

location, price and people at the hotel were very cool.

This hotel is not ready for occupancy. It is undergoing a renovation. The managers have no idea how to run a hotel. The lobby is not air-conditioned, they charge for a cot and do not have enough blankets or towels. The dead bolt on the door did not work, the shower stall glass was broken, posing an accident risk. Awesome location at 6th and Ocean Dr. Was clean and comfortable but really noisy at night. Could hear everyone coming in from the bar. If you don't mind that or are going to be out late as well this is the perfect place.

The hotel needs renevating and more cleaner in the lobby and hall ways. The rooms were clean. But with confirmation and every thing they still didnt honor that I book specific rooms for a family of 12. so some of us slept uncomfortable. Never again.

This place was excellent and beautiful. The images in the website were what I exactly saw! I loved it!!!

As the phrase says"Location,location, location" This hotel is situated in the heart of South Beach Hipstrip...step from the front door and step into action!!! Also near to the Sunset Harbour Yacht Club which was a definite plus for my vacation.The staff was courteous, friendly and were willing to make the necessary arrangements to make my vacation enjoyable. […] One of the most pleasant holidays I have had in a long time. If you are just looking for a place to shower and sleep this place is fine. It's clean but hot and loud. They regulate the air for the entire hotel at the front desk so don't expect it to be very cool. Parking is a joke.

It was on the strip right. On the beach The rest of the hotels had large crowds in front of them which can be a hassle a nice little quite quaint hotel in the middle of all the party scene. All at a nice price .

Hostels are more accommodating than this hotel. I was lucky to be in Miami during April when it wasn't too hot, because I couldn't even setup the air conditioning in the room and there was no fan either. The bathroom was not clean and there were hair in the wall. The bed had a divot in the middle, and to top things off in the morning, there was no coffee […] in the room. I should probably stop here, because other than being in a good location, everything else sucked about this hotel. If you want to stay in a Ocean Drive than look else where, because this hotel is not cheap for what it has to offer. Mehr

We were scared when we saw the hotel you guys put us in. No where even close to the pictures we saw on your web site. The sheets were stained, and to make things worst, we were put on the first floor, that was been remodeled. For five day we were awaken by construction people working on both sides of my room, whistling, yelling and singing loud. At […] night, the other guest get busy bringing prostitutes in and out, shouting to each other. Every night there was people trying to open our room door, and during the morning, maintenance people opened our door several times, while we were in bed. Finally at the fifth day the manager gave a better room at the second floor, and we were able to have some sleep. Hotels.com should never have this type of establishment on there list of hotels. This is a good place to stay for the money if you are only looking for a place to sleep and shower. We spent most of our time at the beach or the bars so it was just fine. when we arrived they were unable to give us the 2 double beds that we had reserved. They said that the room was "damaged". They did offer to take us to another hotel that they had […] about 10 minutes away or give us a roll away and parking for free. we chose to stay and had no problem when we checked out with extra charges.
