Sehr gutes Hotel in Portland Zimmer sehr schön Lage sehr gut Man sollte außerhalb des Hotels Essen gehen, da es dort schöne Restaurants gibt. Insgesamt sehr gut - würde wieder dort buchen

Hotel liegt sehr zentral. Alles Super, tolles Ambiente!

Alles tipp topp. Vor allem Frühstück im Hotelrestaurant. Unbedingt Zimmer im 2. und nicht 3. Stock (dort hat es nur Dachfenster = dunkel). Unter Spa Bereich darf man sich nicht zu viel vorstellen. Ich hatte keine Lust, ihn zu benutzen. Massage war aber gut.

If you are planning to sleep past 8am avoid this hotel! We stayed 2 nights and could not sleep past 8am due to extremely noisy refurbishments which were not communicated to us when booking. apart from moving us to different rooms around the hotel staff did not seem to care in the least. hotel is decent enough and well located however.

Located right in the old port, within waking distance to the music venues on congress street! Clean and comfortable rooms- they were doing renovations during my stay, but only from 10 am to 6 pm and I didn't hear a thing anyway. Can't wait to see the place after the work!

The construction was pretty horrible and loud. Also, workers on cranes could see in windows. Had to change room once but the second one was worse. The elevator we took dropped us off in the middle of a plastic taped off floor and we had to bust through it to get to room. Not happy for such an expensive stay.

Loved being able to park the car and just walk around to shops, restaurants, etc.

no words to describe how clean and wonderful the hotel was. and the spa treatment was also great. would recomend anytime

This is a great hotel for guests coming into town, to get the real feel of Portland, Maine. Historic, friendly, comfortable and accomodating for the guests. A great way to impress.

Was recommended to us and was everything we were told!

Wonderful, friendly and very helpful staff. The hotel restaurant serves a delicious breakfast and the lounge can't be beat on martinis.

HOTEL IS PERFECTLY LOCATED...WALKING DISTANCE TO PUBS, STORE, WATERFRONT. ROOM WAS CLEAN BUT HOTEL VERY NOISY WITH CONSTRUCTION GOING ON INSIDE HOTEL. THOUGHT FOR ROOM SIZE AND LACK OF WINDOWS THE HOTEL WAS TOO PRICEY.

I loved this hotel, had a great bar, staff was personalable, rooms were very comfortable, and would have enjoyed sleeping in a little later on a Saturday! But the construction crew going up and down the scaffolding right outside my window was hard at work at 7:00. At one point I thought the ceiling tiles were going to fall down and the equipment and […] workers would follow. It would have been nice to have been given a complimentry breakfast, so atleast I had a reason to get up! :) Mehr

Arrived in snow storm, no one there outside before wife had carried her own luggage in. We went to our room and found a ladder and large painters drop cloth piled in front of our door and had to move them to enter our room. We told front desk about the ladder and drop cloth and they shrugged and did nothing. We then asked where we could go to get "fried […] clams" and we were sent, walking in snowstorm, to place that serves no fried food. Person on street helped us find good place to eat. Went back to room but were awakened by workmen during night. After several attempts to sleep had to ask for new room in the middle of the night. Were moved to a lesser room ( only 1 bed) Went to breakfast in the morning ,at hotel, and were brought the wrong food. Both meals were taken back but the one that had been correct had been warmed rather than re-made. Things continued to go downhill and breakfast was one more negative experience at this hotel. We will certainly never go back and would strongly discourage anyone from staying there. Mr. C.E.D. Mehr

Very nice overall, but there is currently construction so if you need to quiet during the day, it's not ideal.

Old style comfort and an awesome location - just a few minutes walk to all the places where we liked to eat or drink. Only wish they had newer better mattresses - a little too springy compared to some of the newer hotel's offerings. Very friendly staff and a great spa/fitness center.

A new crop of hotels opened in the last year in the Old Port, but the Regency is my choice. It has the lived-in comfort of faded luxury instead of that new-hotel smell. Nice staff, old school bar, very nice updated spa.

The Regency is set in the past, in a charming way. Average amenities (fitness center, shampoo/conditioner) but charming (located on a cobblestone street, warm tones, etc). And you can walk to anywhere in the Old Port.

I love the Portland Regency and it's location. They have amazing winter deals and their staff are always friendly.

It was a lovely hotel in a great location. I just felt the Reception Service could have been a bit warmer. When asking for a dinner recommendation it seemed to be a difficult question to answer.

Location is amazing, hotel itself is very nice; the service & food leave a lot to be desired especially for the price of the hotel.

Nice hotel, nice location. Quaint with personal service. Only a skylight in room and $12/parking.

This charming hotel is right near everything. Close to the waterfront, shops and galleries, fabulous restaurants, and a short walk to the Portland Museum of Art. It is wonderfully cared for, with a sense of history and modern amenities. I've stayed here a few times and it's always a good night! The staff is very accommodating.

Just a couple of blocks off Commerce Street (along the bay).Located right in the heart of the old town. Clean, comfortable with a very friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel was located in the heart of downtown - close to the bars restaurants and shops, which helps justify the price tag- summers in Portland there wasn't much of an option - all very pricey. The service was very good -but the decor, carpets, etc felt very dated. Room was clean bed was nice, could use better pillows. Nice hotel in a great location, but a bit pricey overall. I expect to pay this price in Boston, but to do so in Portland, I would expect another grade up in comfort and luxury.

The Portland Regency building is a renovated armory; a beautiful old brick building. The guest rooms are in the main building of the armory and have tall narrow windows. The rooms are beautifully furnished with nice marble bathrooms. The hotel it immaculately clean and the service is terrific. This hotel was just beautiful! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. You can't beat the location, right in the middle of everything! You walk outside and you're at the shops and restaurants. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Portland.

Excelent Service. Clean room. Awesome location. Very enjoyable stay.

The only negative that we found was that there was no guide for the TV channels so we had to continually channel surf to find what we wanted to see. That was frustrating. The rest of the hotel was first class. I especially appreciated the superb exercise room and we loved the location.

The location near to the major Portland city attractions was excellent. Hotel ambience also excellent as was the service provided by all employees (incl the lounge).

This hotel is in a great location, walking distance to all Old Port's hip bars, indie restaurants, and cool shops. It's near to the port if you want seafood or a walk on the pier. A nice little coffee shop is right next door. The room we got didn't have a window - just a skylight - but it was a clean, quaint little room, and the bed (really comfortable) […] made up for a lack of a view. Recommended. Mehr
