Sehr gutes Hotel in Portland Zimmer sehr schön Lage sehr gut Man sollte außerhalb des Hotels Essen gehen, da es dort schöne Restaurants gibt. Insgesamt sehr gut - würde wieder dort buchen

Alles tipp topp. Vor allem Frühstück im Hotelrestaurant. Unbedingt Zimmer im 2. und nicht 3. Stock (dort hat es nur Dachfenster = dunkel). Unter Spa Bereich darf man sich nicht zu viel vorstellen. Ich hatte keine Lust, ihn zu benutzen. Massage war aber gut.

The hotel served it's purpose. The location was great, but the hotel is too expensive for the quality and décor. The staff was helpful. The charge for valet is $12 per night. I think if we return to Portland, we would stay elsewhere due to the high room rate. I must say though, the bathroom was recently renovated and quite large. I did need to call down to have higher wattage light bulbs put into the bathroom, as the lighting was very poor. Mehr

This is an absolutely a "no frills" hotel. The rooms are clean and the location is close to nearly everything. Other than that you have nothing. Was disappointed with the non-replenshment of items in the room including toilet paper and the 2 waters in your room (which is all they offer and didn't get). The Portland Regency took excellent care of us during a recent weekend visit; especially noteworthy is the shuttle service they provided to and from a great restaurant (Bar Lola) in the East End; saved us having to drive and park. This is an exceptional privately-owned hotel.

The hotel offered those special little extras...chocolates at night, free coffee delivered on a tray outside your room in the morning, beautiful sitting rooms, a nice bedroom that did not have the typical cookie-cutter look, luxurious bedding, and the perfect location near the waterfront.

We travel yearly to Portland on business. This is the first time we have stayed at the Regency. Compared to the other hotels we have stayed in, it has a very elegant feel to it and the staff is very friendly. I would have loved one of the balcony rooms, but they were unavailable. Our room was nice but unexceptional - no tub, which is always a disappointment. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Valet parking at $12 was reasonable and the lot was around the corner if you just needed something in the trunk. So happy to see that a hotel still offers some free stuff - two waters in the room - complimentary. Coffee delivered to your room in the morning - complimentary. Lovely lobby to sit and read, or walk out the door and be in the center of one of the coolest towns in the northeast. I love staying here!

If you are looking for a place to stay in the Old Port, this hotel cannot be beat! Walk out the doors to find yourself near all the shops and restaurants. Very friendly staff, and great food in the hotel.

We were delighted with the Portland Regency Hotel. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel has great character and is in a perfect spot to walk to many wonderful restaurants in Portland. The hotel restaurant is also quite good and has a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely stay there again. Loved the large, old fashioned room keys!

We were caught in a snow storm while driving home and decided to stay in Portland. We were thrilled that we got such great accommodations and service at the Regency. We will be back and we've told our friends to go!!

Location is great for walking through the old port to clubs, concerts and the like. Hotel is clean and bed was comfortable, huge bathroom and walk in elegant shower. That being said, my room looked nothing like the pictures, we had a king bed but no fireplace, no elegant architectural details, no four poster bed. I don't think this hotel lives up to […] the price or hype as a romantic get away, I travel frequently for business and pleasure and I think the hold on my credit card for incidentals at check in was excessive at $100.... usually in comparable hotels it is $50... Extremely nice hotel with very friendly front desk staff. Room was comfortable and very clean. Fantastic location. Didn't get into the restaurant or tavern but those looked nice too.

Perfect location in the heart of the old port. Walking distance to the waterfront, dozens of restaurants, bars and shops. The staff was courteous and helpful. Valet parking for only $12 a night is great. My new go-to hotel in Portland.

The hotel is obviously in a great location. The bar in the basement, The Armory is a good spot. The room is clean and the beds were made up each night. However, I had a few huge issues with how they run this place. First, when my fiance and I went to check in, they refused to allow us because we were not on the reservation. I asked them to call my […] friend, who was on the reservation and they refused. We had to wait three hours for them to arrive, which was a pain! I can't see the harm of letting us check in before our friends arrived. Second, I left my pillow in the room and although they found it, they would not send it to me without a credit card. I spent several nights there each year and think they could pick up the $10-$20 charge to ship the pillow. Given that they wouldn't, I'll probably stay somewhere else in the future. Mehr

Perfect for an overnight getaway. Well located, well-kept and reasonably sized rooms and bathrooms, good breakfast in restaurant, good bar downstairs to watch football game, well equipped gym. Did not use spa, but it looked inviting.

Beautiful historic hotel. May not work for you if you're tall! The ceilings are low in the hallways but especially low in the shower, if you were 6ft, you'd have to duck! At least in the room we were in (corner jr. suite on 2nd floor). The room was very nice, bed VERY comfy and you can't beat the location.

Great hotel in a great location in the Old Port section of downtown Portland. The spa located in the hotel is superb with an oversized coed Jacuzzi (type) pool. The co-located gym has every machine a gym rat would want and then some. The staff is great!!! A driver is available to make runs to the airport, train station etc. Excellent restaurant and […] a very nice lounge one floor below that has its own food service. Located a short block or two from the waterfront. It doesn't hurt to have Pat's Pizza across the street - a famous restaurant chain that originated in Orono, Maine.
