Victoria House Hotel - Killarney

Lage in der Hotelstraße des Ortes ist vollkommen ok, das Stadtzentrum ist nach 15 Minuten Fußmarsch erreichbar. Liegt direkt am Killarney Nationalpark und daher ideal für Wanderausflüge. Parkplatz für Mietwagen steht zur Verfügung. Zimmer sind sauber, aber recht altbacken eingerichtet.

Das Hotel ist mit dem Auto nur wenige Minuten vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. Sehr freundlicher Service, schöne, saubere Zimmer

We had a gray time here. The staff was fantastic. The pub had better than average pub food and the breakfast was really well done. Definatly do breakfast. Everyone here was so helpfully and friendly, especially Monica. The whole hotel is very esthetic. Now my only caveat is this. The room we recieved was just fine but also incredibly basic. It looked […] nothing like the website shots. I glanced in another room as the maids were cleaning one and it was really nice indeed. But the web site really doesn't list different classes of rooms so it may be a you get what you get deal which could be a little dissappointing to some. Like other reviewers have said, you may want to inquire/ look at the room first. Other than that,a quality place. Especially for the price we paid. Mehr

Excellent accomidation really enjoyed stay, great value lo0vely rooms friendly staff. will be staying again.

We stayed here last weekend, it is a very cosy old style hotel. The room was very comfortable, nice and big with a really comfortable king size bed. We had a few drinks in the bar on the night we stayed and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, I had scrambled eggs which were not great, very leathery and tough. The fry was fine […] but a little bit of tomato or a few mushrooms would have been a nice addition to the plates. Overall it's a nice place to stay even though it is a little bit out of town so a taxi was necessary. Mehr

My boyfriend an I stayed here recently and were extremely happy with our experience. We got a fantastic rate on a double room, so good that we weren't expecting much from the place. The hotel is actually very pretty, very warm and welcoming. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and the reception itself is beautifully decorated. The room was relatively […] basic, but clean and warm and had all the amenities we needed. We had a nightcap in the hotel bar after going into Killarney itself for dinner, and like the reception it was welcoming and very cozy, with beautiful armchairs around a big fireplace. It also had a pretty good atmosphere, something you very rarely find in a hotel bar. We didn't have the breakfast and checked out relatively early the next day, so it was a short visit, but all in all we had a great time here and would definitely stay again. I would recommend only staying here if you have a car, as the hotel is on the outskirts of the town (as with a lot of hotels in Killarney). Mehr

ROOM CONDITION WAS MUCH BETTER THAN EXPECT. AND HAVE RESTAURANT, LATE OPEN BAR ASWELL. PRICE WASN'T THAT EXPENSIVE. BUT LOCATION WAS VERY BAD. ALMOST THE END OF MUCKROSS ROAD. IF YOU HAVE CAR, MAYBE DOESN'T MATTER. BUT FOR WALK, WAS TOO FAR FROM CITY CENTER. AND SUPERIOR ROOM, THERE ISN'T BATHTUB. Nice & tidy hotel overall but t.v reception was terrible and bed side lamp was faulty .Nice breakfast in the morning but waitress doesn't know the meaning of hospitality

The bar food was awesome, and the breakfasts were fine, but this hotel was run down, the rooms were small and the beds were old and hard.

Our room was hot and smelled musty and when we tried to get fresh air in by opening the windows all the smells from the kitchen came in our room.

Very pleasant hotel; nice clean rooms; bedrooms got very warm so air conditioning would have helped; lovely breakfast; very helpful receptionists; a good place to stay in Killarney.

This hotel is really conveniently located for access to the park as well as surrounding area. The bar is great, though it does tend to close a bit early on weekdays. The hotel staff seemed a little less than enthusiastic about the guests and the rooms while comfortable are poorly heated and the bathrooms poorly lite. The hotel doesn't offer wireless […] in room which is somewhat inconvenient but if you're on the first floor, you can probably pickup the front desk wireless signal. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and didn't have any problems with our room while here. Mehr

All new furnishings. Phenomenal, good sized bathroom, very friendly staff.

Our stay was lovely the room was very clean contemporary really nice bed. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were so friendly. It is the perfect location if you are going to a show in the INEC and just beside it there is a beautiful chinese restaurant that you can walk to. Also the hotel is just 5 minute drive from the town and the scenery is […] fabulous. The only negative comment I have is the radiator was not working and the room was a bit chilli. Mehr

Staff was very courteous and helpful; they printed maps to help us find our way around the Ring of Kerry and along the Dingle Peninsula and advised us about the various routes. We had an upgraded room which included a sitting area; the bathroom included a jacuzzi.

The room was small but OK for the price (was booked at last minute). However, the upkeep of the room seemed to be falling behind. The curtains could not be opened or closed (mechanism stuck) and 2 out of the 3 main light-bulbs in the room were out of order. There was also no chair in front of the mirror/make-up table. The staff were very helpful and […] apologetic, but it did seem like the room had been that way for a long time before we arrived. There were no other rooms to move to and it wasn't a deal-breaker, but if you are in the hospitality industry, it does not look good when you miss the basics. Having said all that, I would stay there again - the food in the restaurant was good and the staff friendly. I would get one of the nicer rooms detailed in other reviews here. Mehr

The hotel is terrific but we lucked out a little by having room 103 - it backs onto reception and the front entrance. The diligent reception staff arrive at 6.30am and their work can be clearly heard from this room. All other aspects of the hotel and out stay there were very good. Got stung e20 for a 1.5km jaunty cart ride from town to hotel.

Excellent value for money. Meget hyggeligt pubhotel. Vi spiste i pubben om aftenen og både mad og stemning var helt fin. Værelserne fremstod nyistandsatte, rene og komfortable.

hotel parfait !! acceuil excellent, chambre superbe, feux de cheminée dans le salon du bas. Parfait de l accueil jusqu aux serviette de bains en passant par le lit !
