TV stations were meager offering--mostly ESPN and obscure channels with lots of ads. Couldn't even find "60 Minutes." Ended up watching Netflix on computer. Otherwise, EXCELLENT. Full and functional kitchen including dishes, dishwasher, icemaker. Really good deal for the price.

A nice place. Would stay there again without a second thought.

The staff was GREAT! They made up for a mistake made by Hotels.com and took care of us. Hotels.com showed a 2-Bedroom suite available which is what we reserved. When we arrived the hotel explained that they did not in fact HAVE 2-Bedroom suites. The staff upgraded us to two adjoining suites for the price I had already paid via Hotels.com.

Our first time to stay at a Residence Inn. Although more like an efficiency apartment because of the kitchen, we prefer staying at the Marriott Courtyard which is located contiguous to the Residence Inn. Would be excellent for someone needing a room for an extended period of time.

They had the best breakfast ever! Hotel room was nice and clean, no complaints!! Desk manager was very nice!

Except for a couple of minor glitches (no soap/shampoo and no 'Do Not Disturb" sign) which were quickly corrected, the hotel is exactly what one expects and gets with Marriot/Residence Inn....I've stayed in these all over the country and never had a bad stay....and depending on where one is going in Houston, this is the best area to stay in-- very close […] and convenient to Galleria, Downtown, Montrose, Museum District, Medical Center, etc.; without the traffic hassles of Galleria or Downtown....it was quiet and somewhat of a hideaway location.... the hotel is not in the prettiest area of town, nut the hotel itself was very nice- i was very impressed. the room was very welcoming and had a small kitchen area, livingroom area with a couch and chair and desk. the bed was comfortable and the bathroom area very nice. my only complaint was that they do not have any pay-movie service. they have HBO, […] but no order-movie service. my toddler daughter was with us and she is used to watching a cartoon at night before bed. they did have nickelodeon, but at night it's not preschool shows. so, that was a little dissapointing. plus, i would have liked to watch a movie after she went to sleep. but... other than that, it was a great hotel. the breakfast buffet was wonderful. the staff was very warm and nice. great location- good restraunts around and very close to houston's museum district and hermann park. This hotel was a real value. It was very near Reliant Stadium. The rooms were clean and well-equipped. The staff was very friendly and informative. I'll stay here again if I'm in the Houston area. It's in a good, safe part of town and convenient to local restaurants and shops. I highly recommend you give this one a try. It's a super find for the va […] lue. Mehr

We were surprised with several things at the hotel. The first was the neighborhood. We arrived at night, and were surprised to find that the hotels were in an industrial (apparently) part of town and were surrounded with wrought iron fences and gates. Inside the fence, the hotel was very nice (both inside and out). The desk clerk was very nice. Our […] suite exceeded our expectations. It had a mini kitchen with a full size refrigerator, two burner stove, sink, microwave, and dishwasher. An eating counter separated the kitchen from the living area. It was set with two place settings of china, flatware, glasses and cloth placemats and napkins. The flat panel TV was nice, but the number of channels was sparse. There were nice linens on a comfortable bed. The bathroom counter and tub surround were granite. The only problem was a major one, but it stood out even more because everything else was so nice and well maintained - the door to the tub/toilet area was being held on by one hinge. The screws on the other two hinges (top/bottom) were stipped out and the door could not be used. Since we were there for only one night, we just ignored it. We left too early the next morning to try the breakfast bar, but it sure smelled great! It smelled like eggs and I saw pieces of mellon as well. Mehr

The Residence Inn was like living in an apartment. My son joined us and slept on the pull out couch and was very comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding! Only draw back was the toilet. It took about 30 minutes to refil and the maintenance person could not figure it out. I got a pot from the kitchen and filled the tank with water from the tub faucet so […] it would flush. It was a VERY nice facility and I would definately stay there again. Mehr

I was surprised and overwhelmed at how comfortable and affordable this hotel is. My husband had just had eye surgery and we were staying over for the next morning post-op exam. What I loved most was the layout of our room. He was ordered to go to bed ASAP and sleep 4-6 hours post surgery. Because of the bedroom being separate from the rest of the suite, […] I was able to close it off and darken it, to allow him to sleep during the brightest part of the day, while I engaged in watching TV, checking email, etc. There was also a LARGE shopping center nearby with a Kroger (grocery store), several restaurants and even a liquor store. We had restaurants and stores of all manner all around us. Could not have been more convenient! All of this was within walking distance of our hotel!! Not knowing the Houston area, I would not have ventured out on foot or even in the car by myself outside the immediate area of the hotel, so it made it that much nicer than I didn't have to go looking for anything, it was all right there. We slept well on a comfortable mattress and watched televsion on a large HD flatscreen. The following morning, we had a full breakfast available to us with hot eggs, sausage, fresh fruit, cereal, belgian waffles, muffins and bagels, milk juice, coffee, several kinds of tea, all at our discretion. It was DELICIOUS and very filling! If it gets any better than this, I don't know how I'll be able to bear it ~ If I have to go to Houston overnight again, I will seek out this hotel for my stay!!! I would highly recommend this hotel. It was very clean and in a good location. I would choose to stay here again.
