"günstige Lage für Besichtigung"Bewertet von einem Hotels.com Gast am 7. Mai. 2012
Gutes Hotel in schöner Umgebung an lauter Straße
"Tolles Hotel"Bewertet von einem Hotels.com Gast am 6. Mai. 2012

"no satisfied."
No shuttle from terminal to hotel after 11pm. Which they failed to mention durring booking. Required to pay for shutlle from hotel to airport 6 euro per person which they failed to mention until arrival. Breakfast was not included nor was an option during booking. Also 12 euro per person for breakfast very expensive. Asked for nonsmoking room which […] at first was not provided then after asking to switch they accomadated us. Mehr
"close to airport but nothing else"
The hotel is close to the airport but nothing else. They have a shuttle to and from the airport at 6 euro per person each way so about $35 for both of us to and from the airport (hardly a deal). Nothing close by but the hotel was ok. The staff spoke English but not well.
"Horrible way to end your trip"
Don't stay here. Pool was not open, TV did not work, restaurant food was disgusting and grossly overpriced for the frozen garbage that we ate. Hotel staff could have cared less that we were unhappy. There was no Manager at the hotel???? What hotel has no manager on one of the busiest weekends of the year? There is nothing to do around the hotel. Worst […] way to end your honeymoon to Italy. I'd rather have slept at the airport. Mehr
"Rome Airport Marriott--horrible beds"
After three weeks in Italy and Greece we were so looking forward to a good night's sleep on our last night. That was not to happen. The beds were hard as bricks--absolutely the worst beds we experienced on the entire trip.

"Rome Airport hotel"
For ease and convenience and not caring about ambience this hotel works great. The food in the hotel restaurant was surprisingly excellent.
"Expected more from a Marriott"
OK hotel, but was surprised with the number of things that were not included with out stay. Upon check-in, we found out that breakfast was not included (our rate said nothing about breakfast being included, which is why I guess we didn't get it). The shuttle to the airport is 6 euros per person (this is the 1st Marriott I've seen charge for this). The […] bed was hard as a rock and was the hardest bed I have ever slept on. The room had a balcony that had a couple of chairs on it, but there was really nothing to look at. I could see the airport, a gas station and a canal, but that was about it. The bathroom was one of the largest bathrooms we had while we were in Italy. The location was convenient to the airport, as we were seven minutes away (after a 6 euro per person fee, of course). Taxis to the airport might have been more convenient, but they certainly would not have been cheaper. Taxi drivers like to charge for the number of people AND bags that you have, so it can get expensive. The only reason I would recommend this hotel to others is that it is convenient to stay here if you have to leave on a morning flight the next day. Otherwise, I would definitely stay somewhere in Rome. Mehr
This Hotel was OK not great. The rooms were a little dated . but the food at the bar and resteraunt was pretty good. It is very close to the airport which is why I stayed there, and that worked out very well.
"Courtyard Mariott Rome Airport"
The hotel was not as close to the airport that you can walk. The Shuttle they say they offer is not free. It costs 6.50 euro each way per person. This seems expensive considering how close it is and that it really should just be a free service. I was also surprised they charge 12.00 euro per day to use the WIFI. That was the only hotel in 3 weeks traveling […] Italy that charged for internet. I did refuse to use it because of the fee and they said i could have it free. The food was typical chain hotel quality so not so good with a limited menu and overpriced. There really are not other options around there to eat. The room was large for italy standards and clean. The bathroom was very nice. Mehr
"Hotel close to Rome Airport"
If you need an hotel close to Rome International Airport, this is a good option. Rooms are clean and it is really close to the Airport. It is not a fancy hotel, but if you are looking for a one night stay only, for sure it would fullfill your needs.

"Marriott Rome airport was terrible"
Few things are essential beyond the room / bed in an airport hotel. This was an insult to the Marriott name. First, is getting to the hotel from the airport. The hotel failed at that: the van service location was not available to the public in virtually any useful form. No local instructions nor a phone number were given at the time of the reservation. […] It took more than 45 minutes to find the van pick up spot!! Second, is internet hook up to confirm reservations for one's ongoing flights. The hotel failed at that. At check in someone should have said, "will you be needing the internet?" No one did. Instructions for use were arcane, and then completely wrong. Three trips to the front desk from the room (each time waiting for help) chewed up another 45 minutes of a too long day. And then there was no operable internet in the room anyhow, although the desk continued to insist all I needed to do was get a new password. I finally insisted on help and was permitted a house computer in the lobby to confirm my bookings. Third, we went into the (empty, but good) restaurant for dinner. Sat down, got a menu, and another man walked in. He got a lot of attention from the entire staff while we waited about 30 minutes. I conjectured to my wife he was either a mafia don or the owner of the hotel (he was). Finally, I got up and requested someone take our order. A waiter came round. She then got another one. He took our order. A party of 7 Asians came in. The waiters went to their table immediately, took their order, and we waited for ours to arrive. By now the owner had has wine, had eaten his main course, and then the Asian party was served, eating and jocular. An hour had passed. I called the waiters over and told them this was unbelievable. They apologized and said "the Chinese had ordered their dinner in advance." We had hoped to go to bed early to catch a 5:50am shuttle back to the airport. We had entered the restaurant around 7, and were done at 10:15 or so. If we were blac Mehr
"Hotel Marriott Airport Rome"
Check-In very slow considering I had registered everything on-line. All four of us had to give registration girl same info all over again and computers v. slow...it took over 30 mins and were exhausted. Because it was "Marriott at airport" we thought it would be right there. Instead we had a v. difficult time finding where shuttle was located..why is […] that not provided when registering??? and were quite upset at 6 euro per person to go to and from the hotel...this cost us 48 euro.....$70....ridiculous!!!!! Mehr
We did not receive the complimentary breakfast as stated on our hotel confirmation paperwork. We had very little time to prove our point as we had an early morning taxi to the airport.
"Marriott Courtyard Rome Airport"
While the hotel accomodations were adequate, most of the staff at this particular hotel (and I stayed there at the beginning of our trip as well as the end) were so rude and unhelpful that I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone. If you are in need of nice, friendly, "courteous" employees who can help you when checking in late at night, tired with […] a lot of luggage, need help finding an ATM machine, and returning a car, this is NOT the hotel for you. While checking in, these same rude employees were even arguing in plain sight with uniformed airline pilots who were trying to check out. Unbelievable! I will stay at the Hilton next time I am at the Rome airport. Mehr
"Courtyard at Rome Airport"
Room was comfy. Pay TV for movies was not working. The restaurant and bar were a nice surprise. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional--very high end. A bit on the pricey side for a Marriott Courtyard, but one of the best meals we had in 2 weeks in Europe. Took a cab for the same 12 Euros it would have cost on the shuttle bus.
"High price for shuttle"
I thought breakfast was included but it wasn't and the airport shuttle is 6 euro per person per way to the airport. We wanted to drop our bags and then head back to Rome for our last night but they were going to charge us again for the shuttle. We asked about public transit and they said that there wasn't any. We ended up walking back to the airport […] along the busy highway for 2 miles to catch the train into Rome and we saw the airport bus stop along the way. So, they overcharged and lied about other options. Not cool. The room was nice but the tv kept "going to fuzz" every 5 minutes. Beware, we tried to take a cab back to the hotel instead of the shuttle and it was even more money. It's a 2 mile distance but they charge like it's across town. If you're just trying to get to the airport the next day you might want to try the Hilton which is walkable from the airport. Mehr
"Good Overnight Hotel"
Very frequent shuttle service cost 6 Euro per person certainly saves hassle with cab drivers. Hotel about 5 mins from FCO . Room well soundproofed you can see but not hear the aircraft. Rooms not big but have all you need for a short stay. Friendly staff as well. Nice thing is you can stroll down to the town and eat at a variety of excellent seafood […] restaurants or eat just opposite the hotel . Prices much cheaper than in Rome. All in all good value for money. Mehr

"Good Choice for flights in/out of Fiumicino"
See earlier comments.
"For Airport use"
This is a good hotel for those transitting to the Airport in Rome for their flight - transporation is included for a minimal price
"Clean, quiet and convenient to Fiumcino Airport"
Hotel was clean, well appointed, quiet and convenient to the airport. Exactly what I was looking for. That said, I did not receive a king bed as requested. Two separate twin beds were in the room. It might have been understandable if they were two beds put together with bedding, but these had separate bedding. Shuttle service costs more than a cab, […] the service itself is fine, but why bother waiting for the shuttle if it costs more? Also, shuttle service wasn't available at an early hour to get to the airport. Major minus was very expensive internet connection. Didn't even bother with it. Finally, only stay here if you're going or coming from the airport, otherwise, you're better off in the city center. Mehr
"Close to Fuimicino but still a 6 Euro ride"
The hotel is clean and close to the hotel. If you're looking for a cool comfortable room, make SURE the A/C is operational. The front desk clerk promised us that the A/C was on and it was not. It never came on. Our last night in Rome was spent in a sweltering hotel room. Each time you go to/from the airport, it's 6 Euros per person. The airport is ALMOST […] walking distance from the hotel. There is a 14 Euro shuttle into Rome though and, since a cab ride is 60 Euros, the shuttle is a deal! Mehr
Convenient shuttle service (once we found where to get it!). Fast, efficient check in & out.
"Not great"
Had to pay for shuttle from airport, shuttle to and from rome, and to park! Air conditioner is computer controlled, won't go any lower than 22C. Put make up room early sign on door and the room never got made up until I complained to front desk. Typical Marriott...staff not very pleasant.
"So convenient ."
The experience of our stay -- if only for one night -- was very positive. Right away, from the check in time, we had a gentleman who was cordial and very polite. Rooms had a fresh feel to it, nice and cool when we entered the room. Clean and fresh sheets and bathroom. Also, convenient shuttle service to the airport. However, this one is NOT free. It […] is 6.50 Euros per person and it takes a while to go around all the 5 terminals for all the drop off. In this case, I would probably recommend a taxi ( 15.00 Euros) , but -- overall -- still very convenient. Mehr
"Don't Be Fooled"
The hotel is an "airport" hotel that is cheaper than staying right at the airport, but what I didn't realize is that the transportation to and from the airport runs infrequently and costs $12E round trip. Plus the food was very poor and over priced. Spend the extra money and stay at the airport. NOT HERE!

"excellent location"
shuttle was on time and effective. However, it is cheaper to use a taxi if you are a party of more two.
"Courtyard Marriott Fiumicino"
After having driven back to Rome from Calabria (11 hours), we had great difficulty finding the hotel. It should have signs as you you get off the highway in Fiumicino. The front desk was a bit abrupt but we can live with that. We were given our key and when we got to the room, it was still dirty from previous guests. They gave us a new room. We would […] of liked a little more information on restaurants in the region (perhaps they want you to eat at the hotel...the prices at the restaurant there are ridiculously expensive). We ventured out and found lots of fish restaurants about 8 minutes away. I did not know but Fiumicino is a fishing town so there are lots of restaurants in front of where all the fisherman park their boats. Good food at reasonable prices. We went back for coffee and croissant the next morning. Mehr
"Maintenance issues"
My room was nice, but a number of major maintenance issues ruined what could have been a very comfortable stay. The AC was blowing out of control and my room was freezing. I tried to control the temperature but it made no difference. They actually had to turn it off from the reception. So you can't really control it. It is either on or off. Since it […] was freezing in the room I thought I'd warm up by taking a bath. The bath stopper didn't work. So I just had a shower. The bathroom was nice overall. In the morning another surprise. The hairdryer was not working. Since I had no time to wait for them to fix it or bring anther one, I had to leave with wet and un-styled hair. Didn't want to look at myself in the mirror all day. The hotel serves the purpose of getting to and from the airport quickly, but don't expect things to go smoothly and check all appliances right away so that you don't get surprises in the morning. Not super close to the airport; it's a 10 to 15 minute ride. Also, while they have an airport shuttle, it only runs until 10 p.m. and they CHARGE 6 euros per person. So for our family of 3, it woulda been cheaper and more convenient by taxi! Room service was expensive: 70 euros for steak & fries, salad, pasta with tomato sauce and one glass of wine […] . Mehr

"Courtyard by Marriott"
After flying over 10 hours the convenience of having a hotel close to the airport was a great thing. The hotel provides a shuttle that is well marked close to where the taxis are and it picks up guests every half hour. The room was confortable, the staff including the shuttle drivers were very friendly and the breakfast was great.

"Marriott Courtyard Airport Rome"
This hotel was adequate for our need to be at the Rome airport early, but it was definitely not up to US standards for a Marriott.
"Not up to Marriott Standards"
Was not given a junior suite, as reserved and prepaid for. Instead, a standard room with a pull out sofa was provided. This sofa was so uncomfortable, we had to take the mattress off of it, place it on the floor, and sleep on the floor. No one offered to help with bags, and checkin took a long time as the person behind the desk was clearly overtaxed […] by the volume of work. The room was quite a ways from the lobby, and with nearly a dozen bags, we used a baggage cart - well, once we arrived on our floor by elevator, we had to go down stairs and up stairs to get to our room. Next to the stairs were 45 degree ramps which were unfeasable for the baggage cart, which we flipped quite dangerously once. Would not stay here again. Mehr

"Island of Americanna in run-down fishing port"
This is a new hotel near the FCO airport that caters to Americans that seem to be leaving from the airport. It is modern styling and has a shuttle bus that makes the transfers easy. It is relatively expensive, especially for the industrial area that it sits in, with a charge for everything. For example, 12euro/24 hours for internet, 6euro/one way on […] the shuttle. If you a little adventurous, take a walk through the gritty area into the fishing port and have a much less expensive drink and dinner in a sidewalk cafe. The shuttle didn't start early enough in the morning to get to my flight and it was a 20 euro cab fare. Mehr
"marriott courtyard rome airport -"
this was a very nice hotel. staff/service was very good. dinner in restaurant was excellent. would stay here again. fyi - airport shuttle is an added expense.

"Marriott Courtyard Rome Airport"
Clean and comfortable. Shuttle service to airport was only 6 Euro per person. Was not happy that we were charged 6 Euro to borrow a corkscrew. Close to airport. A few restuarants within walking distance. Hotel restuarant expensive. Would stay there again.
"Last night before heading home"
Clean, modern, safe, upscale hotel. Arrived by train to the airport and had difficulty finding the Marriott shuttle but were grateful there was one (it was raining hard). It was 8 pm and we didn't need dinner. Our flight was very early the next morning so we didn't need breakfast. There did not appear to be any sources for food besides the hotel dining […] rooms. I didn't see a gift shop with candy bars or snacks. We were surprised that the hotel shuttle cost us 12 euro (7 minutes) and the taxi back at 3:30 am was 18 euro plus tip. Much cheaper than the Hilton. Mehr

"Rome Airport Hotel- Convenient"
Hotel was comfortable. We had a room for disabled customers. The shower area was prone to flooding and the tile needed caulking. Hotel is well appointed but in a seedy area near the airport with lots of construction going on nearby. Streets/sidewalks in a poor state of repair. They have a nice in house restaurant and bar. Hotel car park was expensive. […] Shuttle runs at certain hours to airport and Rome central. We had to get a taxi for 15 euros!!!! to the airport as we had an early start. Mehr
