Excellent and relatively inexpensive hotel. Right around the corner from Roma-Termini station and about a 15-20 min walk to the Coloseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Very large room by European standards only drawback is only one flat pillow per bed in the room. Excellent shower and bathroom faciliiies and very good continental breakfast. Wi-Fi […] was free but reception was mediocre in the room and the lobby was quite busy. I recommend this hotel for visits to Rome. Mehr

Nice place near by centeral station

Very convenient to the Termini Station. Hotel was modest, but clean with an agreeable breakfast. Not sumptuous, but fun and easy as we were taking the train to Florence the next day. Easy walk to shops and restaurants (and sights).

Very generous breakfast menue. Conveniently close to the main railway station and metro while at the same time within walking distance from many of Rome's top attractions.

Booked this place for its proximity to the Train station. Great service: my inroom safe was defective with all my valuables in it the day before departure. They sent promptly the repairman: turned out the 9v battery was dead. Decent breakfast, location close to shopping, subway station and train terminal. We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was very old fashion style and extremely warm, but overall ok for just staying over. The breakfast was quite basic, coffee from vending machine quite bad actually. But the situation of the hotel is excellent, very close to Termini station and in a quite street. No problems […] of noise whatsoever. Remember that city tax (2 EUR p. person/day) is not included in the price. We got it with 20% discount so it was ok, not sure I would pay full price now that we have seen it. But overall it is ok for its convenient situation. Mehr

Fantastic location great hotel rooms are slightly larger thatn normal for Italy. Reception Staff are not very friendly always seem to be stressed

Very convenient location. No issues with staff or surroundings. There could be some more choices of food for breakfast - a bit too monotonous. Overall - quite a good experience.

Great location two blocks from Termini station. Very nice breakfast. Attractive ground floor lounge. Nice rooftop garden for bar. Room was typically small by American standards, but nicely decorated. Cable TV was a disappointment - no English language channels, e.g., CNN World or BBC World. Would definitely stay again. Staff very helpful.

The hotel is one block from Termini train which makes it very convenient. The check-in staff are placid And offer no assistance bit the terrace bar provides great views, inexpensive wine, and hospitable staff. The room was adequate in space, however, as is all of Italy, it is noisy in the morning. The breakfast was hearty. There is a gorgeous fountain around the corner that no one bothered to tell us about. Overall great experience. When booking we were a bit concerned about proximity to train station which turned out to be a non issue. Hotel is within a couple of blocks of the station with easy access to everything and we never felt concerned about our safety. Helpful and friendly staff!! Quality breakfast each morning!! Ok hotel, close to the train station, which is good choice location if you'r planning to do day trips from Rome by train as I did. Breakfast is basic buffet, enough if you are not looking for anything sophisticated, and the serving times were quite good: 6.30 to 10.30 AM. Free internet on the lobby, just ask a password on at reception. Room a bit too […] small though. We had a triple room, which in fact seemed to be like a double room (with two beds) with an additional third bed located perpendicular to the ending side of the other two beds. Very convenient to train, buses, and shopping areas. Has a small gym which was not listed in amenities. Walking distance to shopping area but buses will take to other shopping areas and touring sights. We used a taxi due to disability which was reasonalble. Airport shuttle available at a separate cost. We stayed here on our last night of a long trip. We chose this hotel due to its convenient location to the Termini train station. Though some areas near the train station can be a little questionable, this hotel is at the end of the street, and we didn't have to worry about any questionable people hanging around. It was very convenient having breakfast […] downstairs, or for a small surcharge, they even deliver it to your room. Loved the rooftop terrace garden and bar--a nice way to relax at the end of a day. One of our favorite parts about this hotel was that the bathroom had actual shower doors. After three weeks in Italy with different versions of showers, it was nice to have a shower where I didn't have to worry about flooding the room. Mehr

I guess I should have listened to the other reviews about WiFi not working in the rooms. I went to Italy for two weeks and prior to leaving had only made hotel reservations for the first week in Rome. My plan was to book the rest online from my hotel room using the so called "Free WiFi". That never happened. I had to take my laptop to the small hotel […] lobby and usually wait for a place to sit because everyone else was always there with their laptops as well. Other guests I talked to said they also couldn't get WiFi in their rooms either. I asked three different people at the front desk and always got the same answer which was "I really don't know. Sorry." Other than that, this was a very convenient hotel to stay at. Very close to the train and bus station. The rooms weren't the cleanest but were good enough. Nice and decent hotel, in a central location though the neighborhood is not so inspiring or romantic. The room is basic and comfortable and the bed is good. The breakfast was a little disappointing but the roof terrace is wonderful. The wifi works only in the lobby. Overall a very nice hotel and good value for the money.

We stayed our first night and last 2 nights in Rome. The first night we stayed at a different hotel and would not recommend it. This hotel was similar in price and much much better than the other hotel. Has a roof top bar which is nice in the evening. On of the best breakfast that we had in Italy.

The hotel was nice. Clean rooms; high ceilings; marble bathrooms! Cannot complain at all except for the fact that European ceilings are so high the space is wasted. This hotel was close to the train station & with the train station also being the main Metro stop with the 2 underground lines crossing there, it was handy for getting around Rome. In our travels we haven't encountered more unfriendly/unhappy staff. The breakfast was very good but most of the staff walked around grim-faced & you weren't made to feel […] welcome there. The same goes for 1 of the barman who when we asked to open some drinks for us to have in our room, proceeded to take the top off the beer bottle including glass, leaving glass sediments in the bottle, yet said it was ok to drink. The hotel location and amenities were great except for the A/C which was a bit warm. The front desk controls the temperature setting in spite of the fact that the room has a thermostat control. Other than this breakfast was great and the accommodations were nice. I was worried about the location since Termini station is thought to be a not so safe area. […] We had no problems at all and felt very safe at all times. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE FRONT DESK STAFF. THEY WERE VERY RUDE AND VERY UNAPPROACHABLE. MY AIR CONDINTIONING WAS NOT WORKING. THEY WERE QUICK TO SEND SOMEONE WHO CHECKED IT AND SAID IT WAS WORKING. HE CAME BACK 2 OTHER TIMES. IT WAS NEVER WORKING, HOWEVER, THIS MAN SWORE IT WAS WORKING. SO I SPENT MANY HOURS SITTING DOWNSTAIRS IN THE PUBLIC AREA […] WHERE THERE WAS AIRCONDITIONING. THIS HOTEL CAME HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO ME HOWEVER, I WOULD NEVER STAY THERRE AGAIN. THERE ARE SO MANY MORE HOTELS IN THAT AREA THAT ARE SO MUCH BETTER AND THE PRICES ARE ABOUT THE SAME. Mehr

We picked the hotel based on the location - very close proximity to all the major venues and within walking distance to the Romi Termini (train and metro station). The hotel is okay and I would have given them 3 stars, but the staff was horrible. The gentlemen (nothing gentle) working the front desk were not helpful for restaurant recommendations, […] travel arrangements, or even basis assistance for any inquiries. There was one in particular (Max) that gave us a hard time about too many people in the elevator when we were well under the limit. Than he proceeded to keep jawing at us even though we pointed out the elevator sign that spells out max number of occupants. They tried to etch in a different number the very next day....hahah! Again from what we see there were lots of other better hotels in the area. Only stay here if you do not have to interact with the staff! Mehr

Good location - close to railway station and a couple of metros. Breakfast adequate rather than interesting! Roof top bar not always open. If not, hotel bar downstairs was pretty basic. Generally quite satisfied with the hotel.

The best point for this hotel has to be its central location and very close to the central station. There is no need to have any other transport it is easy to walk from the hotel to all the tourist locations. The room was small but spotless. Staff could have been more helpful though, they were more interested in their own conversations whilst you were […] waiting for help.Breakfast was an adequate continental type. The great thing about this hotel is the location. We walked to many of the main "must see" attractions but had the convenience of the metro nearby when we wanted to be lazy. The room was clean but the bed was rock hard (and I usually like a firm mattress!) The breakfast that is included was wonderful and we missed it at our later stops that didn't include […] breakfast. Can actually save you quite a bit of money! The main complaint was the noise. We were on the first floor and our window faced an alley or another street (not sure) and there was quite a bit of noise. I usually sleep like a log and don't really care that much when a review says the hotel is noisy, but I wish I had paid a little more attention because there was one night where I couldn't seem to sleep for more than 10 minutes before someone outside emptied bottles into the trash bin. Local to the hotel is the Opera together with numerous smaller Italian restaurants in the surrounding streets. The location of the hotel in relation to the termini is awesome! Gives you quick access to the trains or buses that run throughout the town. What's even better, it also serves as the terminus - or final destination - of many buses, so you're almost always guaranteed to get off the bus at your stop (since buses are soooo crowded, even in off season, […] that it is sometimes VERY difficult to get OFF a bus at stops along the way.) The neighborhood around the train station do have some sketchier parts, so be careful where you are going. The room was a decent size. Ours was on the second floor and faced the main street. We had a full sized bed, a nice bathroom, and everything. They could have told us that, in order to turn on the electricity in your room, you had to plug a specialized key into the wall near the door. It took us a long time of wandering around in the dark before we found it. A huge complaint I have about this hotel is the internet. On the website, it said that internet is available for a surcharge. When we got there, they said it was free - but only for AN HOUR a DAY. There was no way for us to even purchase additional internet time, either. You are given a sheet of paper with the wifi username and password. After an hour, it kicks you off without any warning. The people at the front desk gave us weird looks for going down each night we stayed there for a different code. On teh last night we were there, the paper said that the internet would be connected a full day, but it still expired after an hour. Also, there is very little security there. You are forced to leave your room key at the front desk every time you leave, however, they never check your identity when you return. You could, technically, ask for any key and walk into someone's room. This was how it was at the other hotels we stayed at as well, so it may be the norm? It's not always easy to find inexpensive, clean and comfortable hotels in the center of Rome. This one has all the requisites + free wireless internet. It's also all of 3 minutes from Roma Termini - on a quiet, safe street.

Arrived very late to find everything in place for us. Bags taken to our room which was smallish but absolutely spotlessly clean and well decorated.Sheets changed every day. Hotel staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was a good cold breakfast which was exactly as expected. We have stayed in 4* hotels that were not so good. We found this hotel great value and so close to the train and central bus station. The service was good and we found the breakfast to be very satisfying. A good selection of juices, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, pastries, meat and cheese. The location was a bit noisy being in such a busy area so maybe not a good choice for the light sleeper. This hotel is a charming small older hotel but it is not worn or run down at all. the rooms were small but the ceilings were high so you felt like you had more space than you did. the breakfast was great with coffee, sweets, granola, eggs, meats and fruit. There was a treadmill and workout equipment on the 6th floor to use. The BEST gelato is at Dagnon, right around the corner. the bus station, subway and train station is 2 blocks from hotel. You can take the train from airport to the hotel very easily- no cab needed.
