What a delightful find this was surrounded by chain hotels. Fantastic remodeled bathroom and loved the fireplace and rocking chair in the room. Price was right as well. Hope to stay again next year. Oh and the staff was warm and welcoming.

Clean and cozzy. The only negative was the window looked out onto the driveway/walkway. A great stay just the same.

Second time at San Luis Creek Lodge and another impeccable stay. Esay walking distance to town (helps walk off the dinner on the return!), lovely clean, spacious, comfortable rooms and one of the most enjoyable hotels I stay at...and I travel on business extensively.

Nice hotel. But, it is over priced. The breakfast is barely presentable. The only protein is yogurt and one scramble egg. The only fresh fruit is banana. It cannot justified itself as a bed and breakfast, do not have the coziness of personal service. It feels like a Marriot Residence Inn but double the price. The San Luis Creek Lodge is a very unique place to stay. We stayed in The Craftsman, and our room was very pretty, tastefully decorated, and very cozy. There were nice touches like books on Craftsman design, and stemmed mugs and hot cocoa. The bathroom was roomy and had nice finishes. Breakfast was delicious. Yummy fresh scrambled eggs -- made to guest's […] specifications, great fruit, yogurt, breads, pastries, waffles, all very fresh and delicious. The Gate House also had complimentary movie rentals. It was a short drive into town, and conveniently located. We would definitely stay there again and have already recommended it to friends. Mehr

Very clean, Far enough off main street so noise was not a factor, able to walk to local restaraunts, and morning breakfast was outstanding. They even opened a little early after we mentioned we had to leave early. Rooms are on the small side but not to. Odd they had a Wii system in ours, never had chance(or room) to play. beautiful hotel. Definitely would stay here again. Reasonably close to downtown attractions and Cal Pol. Very clean and comfortable.

So much nicer than the chain hotels and motels. Immaculate grounds and rooms. friendly and helpful staff. Super comfortable beds and awesome bathrooms. Everything was great!!!!!

We stayed for two nights in the Craftsman Lodge and found the staff quite helpful, the room tastefully decorated and breakfast with an array of food in a relaxing setting.

The hotel and staff were great. Breakfast is included which was nice. The rooms were a good size and clean. The only downside to this hotel is that is a bit farther from downtown that we thought. It was a mile walk each way to get to restaurants and shops. But we'd definitely stay here again.

Loved everything about the service, the themed buildings, location in SLO. The breakfast was wonderful...felt like home. Only recommend would be softer beds.

I would recommend this to anyone with a student at Cal Poly, clean, quiet and close to the school.

I have nothing but good things to say about my stay here. The rooms are very nice and the breakfast was excellent! I highly recommend this place.

Hotel is great, but if you want regular TV to catch the news, this is not the place for you. HBO only, and viewing was restricted.

It is difficult to imagine being more satisfied with any other hotel after staying at The San Luis Creek Lodge. The rooms are tastefully appointed and immaculate(we stayed in two different buildings by choice). There is a lot of attention to detail, from the selection of reading material to the DVD library to the helpful nightlights. One should be alert […] to the fact that there is no mini-bar, and drinks or snacks have to be brought in -- there's a fridge. For us old geezers the walk downtown was a bit of a trek, but it's easy to park on the street. The hotel staff were very helpful and willing to make all kinds of recommendations of things to see, do, and places to eat, and to tailor their suggestions to your interests. San Luis Creek Lodge is an exceptional place to stay. We have now stayed here three times, once in each of their three buildings and each room was great in its own unique way. The beds are luxuriously comfortable and the rooms feel like you're staying in someone's fancy guest room rather than a generic hotel. The complimentary breakfast is great and […] the staff and helpful and kind without being intrusive or over the top. My only complaint is that the complimentary wifi had a pretty weak signal in our room. Other than that, every, as always was perfect. Mehr

The room was excellent, as advertised. The Owners were exceptionally gracious and accommodating. They were what made "just another place to stay" into a welcome home-away-from-home experience. I'll be back.
