Leider fehlte während unseres Aufenthaltes 1 Tag das Wasser, aber die Hotelangestellten sind sehr freundlich und bemüht! Würden wir auf jeden Fall wieder buchen, wegen der Lage und der Aussattung und des generell sehr freundlichen Personals. Metrostation um die Ecke. Viele Restaurants in der Nähe. Taxikosten zum Flughafen belaufen sich auf caEUR30-40,00, […] je nach Personen-Kofferanzahl und Uhrzeit. Fahrzeit ca 20-30min. Frühstück war ok, günstigere Alternativen in der Nähe. Mehr

Die Lage des Hotels ist super. Sehr zentral und direkt an einer Ubahn Station. Zu Fuss ist man schnell an der Ramblas und in der Altstadt. Trotz Zentrumslage, kommt im Hotel nie das Gefühl von Hektik auf. Die Zimmer sind sehr ruhig und die Dachterasse ist mit Pool, Liegen und Bar ausgestattet und bietet einem tollen Blick über die Dächer Barcelonas, […] einfach perfekt. Hier kann man nach einem langen Besichtigungstag nochmal ideal Energie tanken, bevor es zum Essen wieder in die Stadt geht. Die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet, geräumig und sehr sauber. Tolles Hotel nur 300 Meter von der Plaza de Catalunya entfernt. Highlight ist die Dachterrasse mit Pool und Blick über ganz Barcelona. Toller Service, alles sehr Sauber. Frühstück für 10,50 € ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen! Gut ausgestattetes Büffet! Alles frisch! Ich würde kein anderes Hotel mehr suchen.

Ein echter Geheimtipp. Super Lage, freundliches Personal, wunderschönes Ambiente. Wir hatten das Glück auf ein kostenloses Upgrade für eine Suite. Das Frühstück war überaus köstlich und reichhaltig. Die Bar ist bedient und sehr gemütlich. Dieses Hotel können wir jedermann/frau empfehlen. grosses, komfortables und schönes Zimmer, gute Lage in der Nähe der Plaza Catalunya, trotz der Nähe zu einer grossen Strasse ziemlich ruhig. Der Swimmimpool auf dem Dach mit Bedienung ist das Tüpfelchen auf dem i!

Overall, a competent and convenient hotel with pleasant staff, good breakfasts

I recently spent 5 nights at Hotel Jazz. We did not want to be on the Ramblas...but close by. This hotel was convenient to everything. The room was clean, comfortable and most of all quiet! Breakfast was very thorough....although the eggs were kind of weird. I would recommend Hotel Jazz to anyone traveling to Barcelona!

Couldn't fault our 4 night stay there. Everything was as I would have expected and the bonus of warm sunshine meant we could also enjoy the roof top pool and terrace. Fabulous stay and would recommend this Hotel to any of our friends. Ideal LOCATION.

You can't go wrong choosing this hotel for holiday.....

Great location, a few blocks from La Rambla and Placa de Catalunya. Everything about the hotel is modern. Room was spacious and the free in-room internet was convenient. One annoyance was the absence of an iron, but this was the case in the other hotels that we stayed in Spain as well.

you can get the airport shuttle just blocks away lovely rooms shops and food just around the corner.

What a great hotel in a great city! We stayed two nights in October - It was so close to the Metro (a plus and a minus) and most everything was just a short walk away - or jump on the Metro! The room was very nice, and very clean. Breakfast was AWESOME - but not included, so I think it was $11 Euro each - totally worth it. The elevators worked and there […] were two computers for guests. The a/c and heater worked great. The room was very quiet as far as hall noise or adjacent rooms, BUT - you can hear, and feel the Metro. Fortunately, it didn't seem that train came by very often at all - and we were exhausted after walking all over beautiful Barcelona - so it didn't wake us at night. It was more a bother while trying to read or watch TV. I would stay here again. Mehr

This hotel is bang in the middle of everything and has a Metro staion next to it so travelling by the Metro is really easy. The room we were given first did smell of smoke and we asked to be changed to another room. This was done immediately and the new room was perfect. It is a pity that so many people in French and Spanish hotels still smoke in the […] rooms. This is one of the much better "budget" hotels that we have stayed in. I would stay here again. The location is perfect, right next to a Metro station and a two minute walk from Plaza Catalunia. Rooms are clean and there is no noise from the streets. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is very good, with fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice and great "jamon serrano" (Spanish ham).

This is a good location, modern and nice hotel. A few snags: 1) the rooms are not well lit. I kept looking for more lights 2) slight stingy feeling to things: I think its basic to leave new shampoo and body gel etc. 3) seemed to be lots of maintenance stuff, the hotel key hardly ever worked, the light kept getting burnt out.

This was a great "find." It is in the center of downtown activity. It is sleekly modern yet roomy and comfortable. It has a lounge-cafe that is open for eat-in and room service. There is a robust breakfast buffet offered for a very reasonable price. I did not find any negatives with this hotel. It is an excellent value.

We enjoyed our recent stay in Barcelona. Our hotel's central location meant that we were close to the Aerobus terminus, the bus to Tibidabo and all the attractions offered by this wonderful city.

Excellent Hotel, very well located for viewing Barcelona. Rooms excellent; cleaned every day. Bar and Restaurant area a bit dull. Staff very helpfull with recommendations for local restaurants etc; also very helpful printing our boarding pass for return Plane journey. We loved the location of the hotel; one block to stops for tourist busses, 2 blocks to La Rambla, 5 minute walk to Barri Gotic; 15 minute walk to Ribera...we walked everywhere in the old city from the hotel and took the bus to see La sagrada Familia, Park Geull and Montjuic. A really brilliant hotel it really enhanced our stay in Barcelona All the staff are very friendly and helpful and the room was just fab !!

we stayed for 1 night in Barcelona after our cruise, was early for check in time (3pm) but reception let us store our luggage in secure room. Ventured out with the Hotel's recommended HOp on Hop off package, arrived after 3pm and checked in, got upgraded to bigger room. Room was huge and comfy, clean bathroom, lots of supplies. Only thing is the room […] was a bit stuffy, fan wasn't really operating in suite, feels a bit warm had to open up the windows. besides this everything is great about hotel. (Aerobus station also very close by hotel, good choice if want to stay after cruise and hop on to Aerobus to airport to fly home). Mehr

the hotel jazz was very nice and in a great neighborhood. the bed was comfortable. there is parking at the hotel for around 25 euros a night. reserve in advance.

Reading that the Hotel was near the city center, my daughter and I took the Aerobus from the hotel and got off at Plaza Cataluna. Checking out a small map we had, we soon were able to walk to the hotel, pulling our large suitcases. Each day we found restaurants nearby, and Las Ramblas, as well as the hop on/hop off tour bus were VERY convenient. We […] even found a Catholic church 1 block away for Mass on Sunday. Love this hotel!! Perfect location. Close enough and far enough away from crazy la rambla. Beautiful room. Amazing rooftop deck. And by the way, the photos on this website do not do the rooftop deck justice. After long days of sight seeing we were up there every night for about an hour just enjoying the beautiful sunset. Steps from the metro. The Aerobus […] drops off from the airport right on the corner, and picks up at Cataluya which is about 2 blocks away. Could not have been in a better location. Just a couple negatives/tips in you stay here: -bring your own shampoo/conditioner -the pillows suck, but i shouldn't complain because i didn't ever get around to asking for a 2nd pillow so I guess that's my fault. Coulld not ask for a beter location to see the City. Everything was close by--bus tours, metro and by walking. Good tapas were also close and with the University close-by there is a very youthful presence. The only complaint wiould be the number of tours they run through the hotel--particularly if you want to go to breakfast early.

Would stay here again. Clean and well kept. Just outside the core tourist area but close to some non tourist restauarants. Excellent wifi but none by the roof top pool. Did not eat there so no opinion on the food. Drawbacks: Only Spanish/Catalan TV stations. We were on the 3rd floor and we could feel the rumble of the underground metro - it didn't bother […] us though. Our kids were on the same floor but down the hall could not feel the rumble. I just returned from a week's vacation to Barcelona, and I stayed at the Hotel Jazz for my entire trip. I requested an upgrade to a suite due to my lengthy stay, but they were all full, so I received the standard room that I booked. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how large and comfortable the standard room was, as well as the bathroom. As a […] female frequent solo traveler, I am always looking for the next adventure, but also know how important it is to stay in safe areas when I travel, and Hotel Jazz proved to be just that. It is right in the heart of the city, and there are always a lot of people around, day and night. I walked for miles every day, exploring in every direction. One day I took the 6-hour Barcelona bus tour, which gave me a great overview of the sights. I also toured the Dali and Picasso museums, walked down to the marina for dinner one evening (the views at night are amazing), shopped in the high-end and low-end shops and, in general, just enjoyed the city. The hotel does offer room service, which I took advantage of, but I also shopped at the local grocery store on La Ramblas for fruit and snacks to keep in my room, along with bottled water (I went through one large bottle per day, so I suggest stocking up). I really liked the pre-made couscous with chicken that they offer in the deli at the front of the grocery store. Get a little rolling basket at the entrance if you'll be getting a few things. This is a bustling, cosmopolitan city, and Hotel Jazz fits right in. It's modern and cool, and a restful place to come home to at the end of a busy day. I requested a street view, and I enjoyed watching everyone from my tiny balcony. There was some street noise at night, but I didn't have any trouble sleeping. The metro is right outside your door, but I just walked everywhere--there's so much to see! There's a small cafe' when you turn left just outside the hotel doors, and I had the mini croissants with a cappuccino a couple of mornings. It was Mehr

After reading other reviews I chose Hotel Jazz for a 5 night stay in Barcelona - it was absolutely perfect... A charming boutique hotel in walking distance to all the sights but away from the noise. Even the bus from the airport stops right across the street. The outside pool on the roof is great - with a stunning view of the city. The room was comfortable […] with modern furnishings and a large bathroom. There was air conditioning, but also had the option of opening the window with a little balcony to enjoy the feel of the city. The staff was friendly and helpful. The free wifi is handy - and there are two computers to use free of charge. There is a quiet, relaxing bar. I loved this hotel, and would definitely stay there again. Mehr

Our first stay at a European hotel, and a little different than those in the US. Different, but fine. Very good central location, staff helpful for folks who cannot speak Spanish. Did not use dining facilities. "Business center" was two PCs with no printer, so could not check in for flights on-line, because couldn't print a boarding pass. Superb location. Great service. One elevator out of order, due to construction, and stairs were inaccessible as well for the same reason. On the 2nd floor, only one computer was working. Overall, a good buy due to the location. Rooms smaller than pictured, but bathroom was a good size. Room service efficient, food good.

Just spend two nights at the Hotel Jazz before a cruise. Great location, one block from Las Ramblas with many restaurants close by. Second time in Barcelona and the Hotel Jazz was definitely better than the previous stay at the Hotel Regina. Some other reviews mentioned a little "rumble" noise from the Metro, we heard it but don't let it worry you, […] it was more like a little back ground noise from the TV. Didn't bother me at all when I went to bed. Will stay at the Hotel Jazz again when I get back to Barcelona. Mehr

Lovely hotel in every way. My only criticism would be breakfast, 'HOT' foods NOT hot. Coffee was lukewarm and the cooked aspect was also lukewarm AND it would have been good to have an English speaking member of staff so that one could be understood :( Thanks and we had a lovely stay in Lovely Barcelona

Great hotel in great location, we had 3 rooms (for 7 of us over 3 nights) and was perfect for our first time to the city sightseeing trip. Breakfast was good (help yourself) the only small disapointment was the hot plate for the 'cooked breakfast' was always only warm. On our 3rd day i did ask if they could microwave my plated breakfast (which they […] did with now problem) but had 3 staff members all feeling the 'hot plate' i think trying to decide if it was warm enough or not! Anyway breakfast (via microwave) was returned hot and hopefully this small issue has now been rectified for future guests. Great hotel and even better location.

Jazz is located in a very handy area of Barcelona, close to the airport bus stop, the Metro, Las Ramblas and the Barri Gotic, and Gracia train depot. The hotel interior is very nice, but if you get a room over the side street be prepared for a very noisy experience. Some other rooms may not be quite as noisy.
