Hotel room was FILTHY! Food was left in the refrigerator, the inside of the microwave had an explosion of food left in it, there are stains all over the carpets, and there was hair all over both beds.

Front desk evening staff member was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was a mess, not enough tables for guests, garbage overflowing the trash cans, ran out of several items. We really enjoyed our stay. We arrived at 5:30 am not knowing we couldn't check in until 3p. Although we were that early with 3 kids they made sure we had a room. Whenever I'm in Grand Rapids this is a place I will stay again.

Horrible Experience. Will Never stay at Comfort Suites again. Complete write up at Trip Advisor. Bottom Line: Not accessible to the Disabled and the staff could care less. We checked in late. Almost 3 a.m. The Desk clerk was more interested in the movie that was on the TV than doing his job correctly. When we got to our room we used our key to try to get in but the safety bar was in. Then a gentleman came to the door in his boxers! The room was already checked out to someone else. After being embarrassed & apologizing […] to this poor man I had to leave our 11 week old baby & his mother & go back downstairs to get a new room. Never once did I hear an apology. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff was very pleasant and professional. In addition to nice rooms, the pool area was well maintained. We were surprised there was also a sauna. The facility is conveniently located to downtown Grand Rapids and area attractions. We highly recommend the Comfort Suites South.

Very friendly staff! They helped with everything from Directions to where to eat and what was good for delivery. The room was large and very nice. The pool area was clean and well kept. The breakfast was good.

Actually went above my expectations. I have stayed at much more expensive hotels that were not as nice as this on. Breakfast was good, beds were comfortable and CLEAN, kids enjoyed the pool. Sauna was broke but stuff happens. Overall very nice stay and price very fair. Bathroom vent had 2 inches of dust hanging. Very hard to adjust the room temp to a stable temperature. Tub didn't drain well. Nice location, very good and convenient neighborhood.

The hotel itself is very easy to find and get off and on from 131. The hotel itself was clean from what we could see. We were there only long enough to sleep (12AM to 9AM), so can't say anything about the extra's. The room was nicely furnished and clean. About the only problem we had was the bed as to firm and lumpy. Maybe it was just luck in getting […] that particular room. We not use to sleeping on a firm mattress and kind of hard to change rooms that late at night/early in the morning. We would stay there again, but would ask for a room with a softer mattress if they have them available. Mehr

Check in staff were nice and accomodating. Room was clean, pool was nice and beds were comfortable. For the location, the price was a bit expensive, but overall, had a very nice stay.

The walk ways and parking lot were not cleaned of snow during my stay and I almost fell when going to my vehicle. The TV kept malfuctioning. The screen would go red/with lines. They had no bread for toast at the free breakfast. The room was nice and roomy, but the pillows were to small and too soft for me.
