Wir waren für 2 Tage im Shula´s Hotel. Es liegt sehr gut für Sawgrass Mall, Miami, Fort Lauderdale und zum Flughafen Miami ist es auch nicht weit ! Für Golfer : Der Platz ist sehr schön und macht viel Spaß zuspielen, alte Bäume auf den ersten 9 und viel Wasser auf den zweiten. Wir übernachten bereits seit Jahren bei jedem Miami besuch im Shula's. Es ist für uns die perfekte Lage zu Flughafen, zum Outlet Mall Sawgrass Mills und zudem auch sehr verkehrsgünstig gelegen.

I stayed at Shula only for 2 nights and it was ok. First they gave me a hotel on the ground floor facing the parking lot so I asked to get an other one facing the pool which was no problem at all. So make sure that you first have a look at the room because if you stay longer than 2 nights you don't want to have a room facing the parking lot! Room was […] good but a little bit smelly (probably because of the AC). But all in all it was ok. Unfortunately I was just surprised by the hotel in a negative way.....today I checked my Visa charges and noticed that two days after my check out I got charged approx. 5 USD. It's not a lot but I find it quite odd that you get charged way after check out. I called the hotel and they said it is for drinks I had consumed which I actually didn't. Except of this negative surprise and the little bit smelly room (I guess it was from the AC) the hotel is very very nice and comes at a good price. Mehr

Shula's is not a bad place for a business stopover. It is very clean and has lots of memory lane pics. Surely not a family oriented location as there is no microwave/mini-fridge. Many things were broken in room such as lamps, shower curtain, light switches. Pool not heated (no big deal in Miami) and only one jet was functional in jacuzzi. Staff were […] very nice and did fix some things that they could at the time. Shula's is located on Main Street in Miami Lakes which used to be a fun place. Almost half of the shops/restaurants are now closed. For sure do not eat at Shula's 2 bar. Consistent absent staff and bad food. There are a few other places close by within walking distance. About a mile away is Shula's golf course and steak house. Pretty good golf course and good viddles, but you'll pay the price. I've stayed here 3-4 times as I live close by. When a project is done at my house, I have come here. Not real bad, but not that great. Convenience is the reason I have stayed here. I would take other options if available. Mehr

Hotel is a little older, but recently updated. Staff is as nice and polite as possible. Shula's restaurant has neat memorabilia... Didn't try to food. Most of the rooms have parking lot views, so don't expect much scenery.

Close to FWY and food places.

Great hotel and well appointed. It is located on Main St in Miami Lakes and is surrounded by many upscale shops plus plenty of eateries.

We stayed in a King room on the Patrician Floor for two nights. Bed and bedding were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The noise level was well above normal, trash dumpsters being banged around at 0400 and lots of noise from hall and adjoining rooms. Housekeeping was prompt and efficient. The front desk help was average with […] expection of one that was a bit short with us for asking for the promised $25 voucher for the restaurant. Which was not for the one at the hotel but a mile or so away, and this was not mentioned at all until we tried to use it. We ate in the hotel restaurant anyway and it was very good. Providing the voucher for a restaurant of the same name not but not eligible to be used at the local one we felt was a bit misleading. Mehr

The staff (from the restaurant staff to the fitness center staff to housekeeping) were some of the nicest folks I have ever met! Everyone I encountered went far out of their way to offer assistance and make me feel welcome. The only negative comments I have are that the property is a bit dated and the air conditioning unit in my room was far too noisy […] to use and actually sleep. Mehr

We were attending the Sony Ericsson Open in Key Biscayne. While the hotel was somewhat far from the tournament, it was a nice convenient location, with easy access to expressways. The hotel itself is slightly dated, but the room was very good. I'd stay there again.

I was very pleased with my stay and plan to go back again! Very nice rooms for the price and a great location with everything within easy walking distance in a very safe neighborhood.

A little dated but very comfortable and safe neighborhood. Downtown is nice and has lots to offer.

Overall our stay was fine. Hotel staff was very nice. Hotel is a little old but nice landscaping in the foyer. Shulas reaturant was good, but its not the steak house version. This was the sports bar. The steakhouse was 15 minutes down the road. The room was nice on appearance. Clean bathroom. Only down fall was the water pressure in the shower was horrible. […] The room was a little dark overall. The bed was comfy. But the walls were thin and you could hear everything outside of your room. Got a great deal on room rate. Last minute stay. If you have other options think about them first. Mehr

The treatment my family and guests received was very inappropriate. The staff at the front desk acted as if they did not want to wait on us. It was very uncomfortable and had I not paid in advance and my money was refundable, we would have left altogether. Family in each room reserved were bitten and roaches were visible throughout the hotel. I will […] never stay there again. Mehr

Loctaed in MIami Lakes, good selection of cafes and food downtown. Good neighborhood. Food at Shulas 2 was good. Bed was comfortable. Definately would stay there again.

Not guest friendly climate control. During warm Miami nights, tried to get room temperature to 68F but it wouldn't go below 72F. Got a room change, but no improvement of temperature issue. Hotel employee wouldn't even hold door open as I was going out of building pushing luggage cart!

The room was fine. It was inexpensive, so we did not expect complete luxury. Hotel is older. But room was clean and fairly updated. The pool is small and old design. The landscaping in the center courtyard is beautiful, that kind of landscaping takes years of care to get to that state. However, the Shula Golf Course (called The Senator) is a complete […] joke. This is supposed to be a golf resort. The course was not in good shape, was of the most simple design. The driving range was laughable. At one time they clearly had a great practice facility. Now the par 3 course across the street is an empty field, the building at the range is shuttered with plywood, the water fountain covered in green slime, and the range balls were ancient and had the consistency of concrete. Are you kidding me? $80 a round for this nonsense? But if you need a hotel room (and don't play golf) in the Miami Lakes are, its pretty good for the price. One more thing: breakfast was terrible. 13 dollars for awful buffet. Small with very few choices, not fresh, no good. Mehr

the hotel looked nice on first arrival but underneath there were many things that were wrong. the bathroom pipes were very loud and sounded like someone was drilling everytime the water was used in the room above us. It was noisy with airplanes just overhead from the near by airport. We also had to go to the desk 3 times to get keys that worked in the […] door.. Having the health club was nice and close by, the neighborhood with 5-6 restaurants in walking distance was also nice... Get the pipes fixed !! Mehr

I spent only one night but it was great !!! I had everything around, shopping, restaurants, movies teathers, just walking !!! That is Main Street in Miami Lakes FL.

The only complaint I had was a faulty air-conditioner which was fixed by the hotel after I called about it. One suggestion is to have a small refrig in the room. Otherwise, the place was great

Hotel Staff were super friendly and everyone was willing to help. From valet parking guys, front desk ,and housekeeping everyone had a part in making the stay a pleasant one. Room was average but clean and quiet. Lots and shops and places to eat close by. Enjoyed it - thanks

Located in a nice town of Miami lakes with a gym across street and plenty of security. Staff is professional and efficient. Worth the time to spend an extra day to relax by the pool and hot tub! Restaurants and Main Street shopping right out your door and free parking.

parking is terrible

The hotel is fine, but management is not. There was a parade this past Sunday morning following Veteran's Day. The parade went all around the streets adjacent to the hotel, and police barracaded the streets so that guests of the hotel could not exit the parking lot for over an hour. Hotel management did not give guests prior notice of the event so […] we could get our cars out in advance of the parade. We almost missed a special event which was the basis for our stay in Miami due to the hotel's negligence. Mehr

Went down for a Dolphins game! PERFECT! I loved it! We stayed in the Junior Suite! The hard wood floors were awesome! Will definitely stay there again!

The Facility itself, location & surroundings were quite acceptable. However, the quality of the customer service needs 2 be improved. There was no lotion provided as u would expect in most similar places. Service in the Bar area as well as dining area (Shula's 2) was horrible. Seemed like more than enough servers for the # of people present, but servers […] were extremely slow & dis-interested. Also, we could not get out of Parking Lot as it was closed-off on Sunday A.M. from 10-12 due 2 a parade. Hotel staff said they were unaware, but we found that highly debatable. Ruined our plans as we were there for Dolphins game, but barely made it in stadium for kick-off. Mehr

I HAVE STAYED IN THIS HOTEL PREVIOUSLY BEFORE,. I HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED MY STAY. THIS HOTEL IS CENTRALLY LOCATED IN A CONVEINANT LOCATION. I WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF THERE SOME PERKS. THEY GIVE YOU A 25 DOLLAR DISCOUNT OFF 75 DOLLAR AT SHULA STEAKHOUSE. BUT, IT'S NOT CONVENIANT FOR ONE PERSON. CAN I PLEASE BE NOTIFIED FOR ALL SPECIALS. THANK YOU.

Both the hotel and hotel staff were fine. Very comfortable and a fun, funky place to be if you like things fairly quiet. However, the restaurant is very poorly run. The food is fine but the staff is not good, they do not honor there coupons without a problem and while the place is empty you can stand there waiting for service for a long time. Service was great and the room was nice. Great amenities. Steakhouse was fantastic but was overpriced. Valet was unavailable. All hotel employees were helpful. Hotel room floor was partially under construction but it wasn't inconvenient.

I enjoyed my stay, the staff was excellent.. My one problem was the correct expectation with the free breakfast, only the cold stuff was free..bagels muffins and cereal... NOT what I was expecting ..but overall great...

Hotel was very cool, good surrounding enviroment (Main Street), we where forced to stay inside for dinner due to heavy rain, Shulas Steak House 2 was incredible, freindly staff and great tasting food.
