Das Hotel war super, nur ein paar Stationen bis zur Oxford Circus und dem erstaunlichen Westfield Shopping Center auf der anderen Straßenseite. Große Zimmer mit hervorragender Ausstattung, vor allem sehr ruhig. Das Personal war unglaublich hilfsbereit. Das Hotel hat alles, was man für einen City-Trip nach London braucht. Frühstück nahmen wir nicht in Anspruch, dafür gab es alles nah in der Umgebung. Für Selbstversorger bestens geeignet.

Canary Wharf, Londons Geschäftsviertel des 21. Jahrhunderts, liegt direkt an der Themse und ist bekannt für seine innovative Architektur, darunter der fünfzigstöckige Wolkenkratzer in Form eines Obelisken mit der Adresse One Canada Square. Super Hotel, auch wenn es sich in den Docklands befindet. Wer sich in London einigermassen auskennt, für den ist das ein Klacks mit der tube ins Centre zu kommen. p.s. bitte nicht vom Bild täuschen lassen. Das Mariott ist nicht der grosse Glaskasten, sondern, liegt links hinter dem grossen Gebäude.

Ein Top-Hotel mit sehr bequemen Betten, freundlichen Service. Und die DLR Bahn hält direkt vor der Tür - trotzdem hört man nichts von dem Schienverkehr. "schönes Hotel in einem sehr schönen Viertel"
Wir waren für 4 Nächte dort. Die Zimmer sind ordentlich, großes Doppelbett, es gibt Wasserkocher, Tee und Kaffee auf dem Zimmer, sehr sauber und zum Frühstück ein großes reichhaltiges leckeres Buffet. Der Service war in Ordnung, hat aber auch sein Geld gekostet. Die eine Seite des Hotels geht zur DLR Schwebebahn, genau die Zimmer sind natürlich trotz […] Schallschutzfenster nur zwischen 00:00 und 6:00 Uhr ruhig. Personal war entgegenkommend, wir durften problemlos umziehen. Die Nachbarschaft des Hotels ist großartig, modernes Bankenviertel, viele Pubs und Kneipen, dauernd was los (da steppt der Bär ;), sehr schönes Ambiente, man kommt mit UBahn und DLR sehr gut dahin und ist in 7 Minuten am Tower of London. "Gutes Hotel im Bankenviertel von London"
Mit der Wahl dieses Hotels kann man eigentlich nicht viel falsch machen, es verfügt über gute, saubere Zimmer, der Service ist vollkommen in Ordnung (sehr gutes Frühstück) in einer guten Lage (ca. 20min mit der U-Bahn in die Londoner City. Der einzige (wirklich kleine) Kritikpunkt den ich anzumerken habe, ist eine falsche Auskunft des Concierges beim […] Aus-Checken. Da wir vor dem Abflug noch einen Abstecher zu Madame Tussauds machen wollten, erkundigten wir uns nach Schließfächern für das Gepäck in der Nähe des Wachsfiguren-Theaters. Leider hat uns der Concierge zu einem Bahnhof geschickt, der nicht über Schließfächer verfügte, so dass wir leider unser Gepäck nicht wegschließen konnten. "Gute 4-Stern Qualität an toller Lage"
Lage: Das Hotel liegt an einer schönen Marina (West India Quay) mit Strassen-Cafés und Pubs. Die Cannary Wharf mit riesiger Shopping-Mall und Tube-Station sowie die Schiffslandestation an der Themse sind jeweils in rund 10 Gehminuten erreichbar. Fussweg an der Themse Richtung City gleich in der Nähe. DLR (S-Bahn) liegt direkt neben dem Hotel. Das Stadtzentrum […] liegt mit den Zügen ca. 10 Min. entfernt. Mit dem Schiff (Tower-Bridge) ca. 15 Minuten. Hotel: Guter Marriott 4-Stern Standard (nicht 5-Stern). Service: Kompetent und freundlich. Frühstück (Continental und English) mit guter Auswahl und Qualität und standesgemäss im eigenen Restaurant. Zimmer zur Wasserseite mit schöner Aussicht. Die DLR-Züge sind aber trotz fest verschlossener Fenster leicht hörbar. Zimmer, Richtung DLR-Geleise würde ich nicht empfehlen. Fazit: Preis/Leistung: Überdurchschnittlich. Das Hotel liegt in dem etwas außerhalb des Zentrums von London liegenden neuen, modernen Geschäftsbezirk. Die Innenstadt ist jedoch sehr gut mit öffentlichen Verkehsmittel zu erreichen. Die Badezimmerausstattung ist sehr spartanisch. Das Hotelzimmer hatte kein Radio und keine (Weck-)uhr. Vor allem Letzteres wurde schmerzlich vermisst. Nach deutschem. "Marriot at Canary Wharf London"
I choose this location to be close to someone I was visiting. The hotel was very clean accomodating. Room service was fast and food was prepared to your liking. It is located near the Canary wharf Underground station where there is easy access to the DLR and Jubilee lines which makes access to central London and surrounding areas quick and easy. There […] is also many shops, restaurants, and banks in Cabary Wharf so you can get anything you need and want! The only negative thing I can say is that the hotel room was a liitle to warm and the cooling fan did not help regulate the temperature. Mehr

The hotel looked brilliant and it was untill check out day, we were due to check out by 12 but received a call at 8 30 which no one spoke at the other end, we then had the cleaner knock on our door at 9 then 10 45! It was a very good stay apart from that.

Have stayed at West India Quay a number of times during 2011 and early 2012 and continue to be extremely pleased with the quality and comfort of this hotel. The staff are most accommodating and the hotel is clean, fresh and beautifully appointed. The king sized beds are heavenly and appreciate the staff's willingness to provide extra towels and room […] amenities. Have stayed in the Executive Apt. as well and they are fabulous, esp. if you have children and want more space to spread out. Canary Wharf is a great location with lots of buzz during the week, but becomes quieter on weekends. The Jubilee Line makes tube travel to the West end a snap, so don't be put off by the east end location. Take time to wander the gentrified docklands and you'll see how cleverly london is being transformed. Be prepared that during Olympic dates the area will be a zoo, but this hotel would provide welcome refuge at the end of busy days. Love the restaurant makeover and the inclusion of a bountiful buffet breakfast as part of the room rate. Highly recommend this hotel. Mehr

"Five star?"
I rarely stay in five star hotels, and tend to splurge once-in-a-while. This hotel does not meet any expectations of a five star. The room was so-so, the view was HORRIBLE, and the service was poor (behind the desk and those who help). The Marriott West India Quay does not even have free wi-fi! What a waste of money! Waste!

We have stayed in London many times but keep returning to the Marriot. the hotel staff are excellent very helpful and have good knowledge of the area. the only downside is the cost of the breakfast so we always get up early and go into the centre of London. The rooms are large and the last 2 times we have stayed we have overlooked the river which is […] fantastic. The journey time into the centre of London takes no time at all. Mehr

Very good hotel, the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. It is located outside of London but public transport is very close, in walking distance, and easy to use especially train service. Also in walking distance is a large shopping centre and a good selection of eating places including a pub. I would be happy to stay here again.

This has got to be one of the best hotels in London that I have stayed in. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was fabulous! Very clean and comfortable surroundings and a view overlooking the docks. I was also amazed at how quiet it was at night, no external noise interference at all! In the resturant they were able to seat us straight away […] andoffered a great choice of food. I had one of the nicest steaks i've ever tasted. My partner went on about the steak for days after we'd left. Canary wharf is walking distance with a choice of great eateries if you don't fancy the hotel resturant and plenty of walks along the river to burn all that overeating. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. It would be great for one night pampering yourself or several nights as an escape from the urban ratrace. Mehr

The view from the floor to ceiling windows were spectacular. The surrounding restaurants and bars were all lit up for Christmas which made for a great atmosphere. We ate late in the hotel bar after the restaurant had closed and despite being incredibly busy the quality of the food was very good, and served hot. no wireless! internet by hotel-provided cable only. cable not compatible with ipads or iphone. internet charges very high.. curve restaurant is of average-quality but very expensive. our room looked onto train tracks and a concrete overpass.

"Marriot hotel in west india"
went away on the weekend with my boyfriend and decided to stay at the marriot hotel which was a good choice. The hotel room was spacious and i was given my preference i.e.king bed, which was nice and comfy. Staff were really nice and helped us with our queries. Would definately stay at the marriot again.

This property is not what I would expect from a 5 star London hotel. It's decor was tired and it lacked many of the extras in a delux room you would expect from a hotel with this rating. No free mineral water, no dressing gowns and soap & shampoo for only one person despite the reservation being for a couple and request for towels for two to be provided. "One of the best hotels anywhere"
This is one of the best hotels anywhere I stayed at in 40 years of traveling worldwide. The attention to details, care and quality of service are first rated. The location adds to the pleasure. Will never go to another hotel while in London.

I have stayed here a few times, purely for the proximity to O2 arena (one tube ride away). The hotel is on the wharf next to bars/restaurants which is a welcomed convenience. The rooms are simple and clean, spacious enough and the hotel restaurant is as you'd expect from this chain - good menu and friendly atmosphere. "WEST INDIA QUAY MARRIOTT HOTEL LONDON"
I stayed at this hotel with my 10 year old daughter on June 25/26 2011 as we were going to see a concert at the o2 arena and it was quite close by. I found this hotel absolutely fantastic and am definitely going to stay there on my next visit. All staff were wonderfully friendly from the doorstaff, reception, restaurant and were lovely to my daughter […] - very child friendly. The room was very clean and modern and the bed extremely comfortable, brilliant view and had all the nice little extras in the room we like - bathrobe, slippers - even a little mouthwash and bath crystals! Breakfast was a lovely relaxing experience with a huge selection of good quality food. Location is perfect. It is right next to West India Quay DLR (don't worry though, you are not disturbed by any noise from this) and is also within a 5 minute walk of Canary Wharf tube (a lovely walk along the river side). We chose to take the clipper river boat to the O2 on the night of the concert (the river stop is also only a short 5 minute walk away) which was a wonderful way to arrive right outside the arena. When the concert finished at 10.30pm we took the river boat back which finished the night off perfectly. (We have been to the O2 before staying more central and had a hideous wait for the tube/taxis after the concerts finished - the boat is by far the quickest option from my experience and more fun!) "Canary Wharf Marriott"
This Hotel is as you would expect,modern,clean and efficient. Well located for all of the Canary Wharf businesses with the benefit of shops and restaurants on the doorstep.The quayside location gives you the impression of being on holiday. A little far out of Central London for sightseeing but a great location but none the worse for that.
"One of the Best"
The hotel was nice and clean with excellent customer service. The restaurant food and service was perfect as well. The hotel is situated on the water front and lots of nice restaurants a few steps away. Best is that the hotel is right next to the DLR train station and one can go anywhere in London in moments time. A pleasure to stay at this hotel.

"Excellent modern 5-star hotel"
We stayed at the Marriott overnight for a local function. Brand new and exceptionally well-appointed. Positioned overlooking the West Quay, with its bars and restaurants, overlooked by 1 Canada Square. West Quay DLR station right next door. Staff very friendly and helpful. Extras pricey but hey it's a five-star. Recommmended.

Stayed weekend of 2nd April 2011. Staff on the door were excellent, no problem for you to get a taxi at any time of the day or night. Staff brought cases to our room which was nice. Cannot comment on food as we ate out at Browns on Canary Wharf, 20 meters from the hotel. Great position on Canary Wharf for bars, shopping and nightlife.

"Wife's 40th"
We had 8 rooms, wife's 40th night out in London. The check in was a bit poor, and the expensive breakfast we had delivered to our room was a little cool, but that said, a couple of times the hotel staff went the extra mile to make our visit special and I was very grateful for it! The bar man in particular spent an hour nearly, trying to hook up a DVD […] player to play a special presentation in the bar on Sunday morning.
