I really enjoyed the stay I would highly recommend this hotel to other people! I would stay again.

After driving 4 hours to this location, we were very ready to check in and kick back. Arriving at the hotel is easy, finding the registration/parking is a pain. The parking lot is set up VERY strange, one sign points you towards registration, from there you have to find parking then remember where that one sign is. The check-in staff was very plain […] and had no personality at all. They didn't give us any direction on how to get to our room, just a complicated little map which we eventually figured out. Once getting to the room, we found it to be exactly what we paid for. Sure, it's not updated and there was two tvs in there since one didn't work, but we didn't go there to watch tv. The beds were comfortable. The in room amenities were just what we needed to get by. I'm sure the resort offers all sorts of things during the summer, but during an off season stay, the price was great for the room. The oceanfront view is amazing. Beds were very comfortable, a little bouncy if that makes any sense. Did not try any of the food, but ate at Flamingo Grill, just up the street, and would highly suggest it if the restaurant at the resort is closed. I would stay there again for the view and the price, I would suggest it to anyone with children during a summer stay. There's a large lazy river (along with a small tot sized one) and an arcade. This is the first resort we stayed at and I feel it was worth the price/trip. Mehr

We absolutely loved our stay, the room was great. Since there were two dining places on premises and a convenience/gift shop and small arcade room we didn't even leave hotel except to go to beach. I booked a smoking room was given non smoking. The receptionist was rude and took over a hour to give me another room. Once in the new room the refrigerator didnt work and only half the lights worked. No batteries in the remote and front desk didn't have any. The worse hotel experience I've ever had! I don't recommend this hotel to anyone!

This was the second time I have stayed here and both times have been great. The room was nice and clean the staff was very friendly. The location is well north of te hustle and bussle of down town and close to many great restaraunts.

Our room had issues and we ended up upgrading to a better room. There was a water leak and room spacewas very limited. I ordered a suit and it had no shut off door to the living area. When I asked a bout a room with a shut off door the staff was not willing nor did they try to accommondate me. Sleeping on the sleeper sofa was bad for my back as well as for the back of my guest.

The room was spacious, private, and had a nice wrap around balcony. This hotel very family oriented. The only improvement would be the parking garage which gets somewhat better when you learn how to navigate around it.

Overall, the stay was good. One our units had no sheets on the bed but were eventually delivered to our room in a bag which we had to put on ourselves. Check-in and check-out was smooth. The rooms were clean.

We had a great time. Hotel was a resort in its own right with many entertaining features. It was located nicely between main boardwalk and Tanger Outlet & malls. Our only concern was lack of room service or availability of things like extra pillows. Otherwise, the vacation was splendid.

Directions to hotel room and parking were very confusing. It took us 45 mins and a maintenance man to find our room. Quality of room was fair, but cleanliness was poor. We found old pepperoni pizza under bed and old gummie fruit snacks on floor. Pools were close and water park was nice for the kids. To bad the hours were only 10a to 7p. When we arrived, the room we booked was nothing like the pictures when we shopped online. The rooms were very dark and It felt like we were in a basement. The decor looked like it hadn't been remodeled since the 80's. I refused to stay in our original room and had to pay almost twice as much to get a better looking room, but even that room was not up […] to par and again, didn't look anything like the pictures we saw online. I think the resort is nice, the rooms weren't that bad, overall nice. A little outdated but for the $ not bad at all, I been to a few different resorts, Mexico, Brazil, Etc. they are all the same, if you want a very nice one, it will cost you. The little water park was perfect for kids, the lazy river was nice also. The dinner at Mangos was awsome, […] very good food at a good price. The pizza at Arcade was good also, a little high priced but good. I DO NOT RECOMMEND the breakfest, it was horrible and I still had to pay $10 a person, everything seem liked it was stuck in a microwave from the previous day, it was either hard or like rubber. There are plenty of resturants around. For thoso who know, the beach location is similar to Daytona Beach and the town location overall is like Orlando. Many things to do. Overall, I recomend it. When we arrived people were telling us not to yes the elevators .we had ocean view just a peep hole beds were very hard and uncomfortable you couldn't sleep mold growing in the bathroom carpet was also dirty and they call this a condo.

Horrible experience: understaffed and outdated facility. Check in is a dreadful because the short staffed personnel are the only ones allowed to use luggage carts; you could be waiting 2 hours!!! worst experience i have ever had from the time we checked in until the next morning when we could not wait to leave. it was filthy, loud, and un cared for. this property should be knocked down. and when concerns were brought to managements attention, they did nothing at all.

Overall a great hotel in a great location. Nice waterpark even though the hours are somewhat limited. The hotel could use a better map due to the multiple buildings. We had three different staff members assist us in finding our room. It took over an hour and walking to 4 different buildings with staff. Finally got it right with the third guy but he […] stayed on the walkie-talkie over 10 minutes trying to figure it out. That was the only hitch. Rooms were great. Clean and well stocked. Staff was friendly even if they were confused. They seemed willing but untrained. A better map of the property would help. Ran into other guests who had the same complaint. Now that we've figured it out I would stay there again and again. We stayed three days on this trip and all hated to leave when the time came. The kids loved the on site waterpark and beach. Lots to do there and only a short drive to the other attractions. Parking garages are confusing too but free so no real complaint. Mehr

Used to stay here years ago when kids were young. Went back expecting similar surroundings only to find room was basically not changed. Large flat screen TV only worked for 10 minutes at a time and then went off. Could not follow info channels for things to do at all. We have traveled to Myrtle Beach and stayed at the Sand Dunes Resort & Spa each of the past 3 years. There are many things we love about it such as location, staff, hotel rates, and of course the onsite waterpark which the kids loved very much. We also got free tickets to the Wild Water & Wheels just by staying at the Sand Dunes. There is also daily […] activites you can get the kids involved with on site. Check in was long. Understaffed. one elavator in my building. Key card didn't work. Took steps from 14th floor most of the time. Room needed work. Room was not clean (old trash in cans, dirty soap in BR). Ocean view was past the parking lot if you looked sideways. Hard to find room. Several buildings with stupid numbering system. Dragged my luggage around for 30 minutes.

I really enjoyed my stay. The price was great and I did not even know all about the extra little perks. My kids loved the water park. We wil be returning in July 2012. The roms were clean,oceanfront,lots of pools, and it was in a nice location. Close to shopping, vendors.
