Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt im Hotel Roma in Prag. Wir haben das Hotel last minute zwei Tage vor unserer Abreise gebucht und alles hat perfekt funktioniert. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und wir konnten trotz vorzeitiger Anreise sofort in das hoteleigene Parkhaus fahren, das wir zuvor telefonisch gebucht hatten. (eine Reservierung […] empfiehlt sich, da nur 15 Parkplätze zur Verfügung stehen) Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und wurden täglich gewischt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Hotel liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Moldau und man erreicht zu Fuß in einer viertel Stunde die Karlsbrücke. Auf den großen Marktplatz kommt man in einer halben Stunde. Am meisten waren wir mit den Preis-Leistungsverhältnis des Hotels zufrieden. Dank seiner zentralen Lage war alles zu Fuß zu erreichen und wir konnten das Auto in der Tiefgerage lassen. Ein 4* Hotel in dieser Lage ist echt top!! Tipp an alle Urlauber: Geld mit der Kreditkarte am Automaten holen, Zimmer und Parkhaus ebenfalls mit Karte bezahlen, da viele Wechselstuben in der Stadt zu unverschämten Kursen wechseln. Außerdem kommt man an Ständen oft günstiger wenn man in Euro bezahlt, da der Wechselkurs der Händler oft besser ist als der aktuelle. Mehr

Great Location and Good Price. Very helpful staff! Recommend the nearby restaurants: The Olympia and Carmelita. Only complaint was that rooms were noisy (we were on first floor and could hear people in the lobby and people upstairs).

Roma hotel was well located and modern. I found the staff unable to meet my request. Breakfast buffet was good.

We were collected from the airport very promptly and, even though we arrived at the Roma at 10:30 a.m. we were able to check into our room (had it not been available there's a room where luggage could be stored). The hotel is well situated - right at the foot of the Petrin Park funicular, just a 5 minute walk to the Charles Bridge (and just a few more […] to Old Town Square), and with a tram stop outside taking you to the Castle for example, and places further afield. Hotel breakfast (included in our rate) was simple but wholesome; the bar well stocked and inexpensive. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The hotel held a good standard and comfort. Allright breakfast-buffet, spacy and clean rooms. A little to hard matress, and I don't like to do the shower in a bath-tube. Nevertheless - a great stay very close to the center of Prague. 10 minuts walk to the Karluv Most, 30 minuts walk to the market-square. First thing, we found the pictures available of this website to portray it as far more glamourous than it actually was. Turned out to be somewhat run down, and disappointing. We had been deciding between 3 hotels, and wished we had chosen a different one. One thing that initially sold us was that they said "coffee/tea maker in room". Basically, it […] was an electric kettle with instant coffee, that was being charged for as a "mini-bar" item. I was rather annoyed about that, and we didnt have any because it was over-priced. We requested a king bed, which turned out to be two single beds pushed together, with seperate blankets & sheets, so my fiance and I wound up having to sleep completely seperate anyway. Lastly, the shower did not drain well, so the water would pool in the bottom, and the time you spent in the shower would be decided by how fast the water would get to the top of the basin, threatening overflow. Eventually, it would drain, but it wasnt fast enough to drain properly during the shower. I mentioned it to the front desk on our second day (of 5) but it never got fixed. The location was GREAT, and since we were across the river we were very close to the castle and got to see Charles Bridge quite a bit, and overall the hotel was kept very clean. And we were glad we were put on the none smoking floor (PS, MAKE SURE YOU REQUEST THIS if you dont smoke. We heared the smoking rooms smell quite strong). Also, the front desk staff was quite friendly and very accommodating, and it was nice to have the breakfasts included in the cost of the stay. Overall, would not go back to this hotel, and wouldn't recommend it to our friends if they were going to Prague. Also, I dont agree with the 4 star rating. Mehr

The hotel was perfect for us. Very clean and we had very good size room especially for Europe. Breakfast was very good as well.

We booked a suite for two adults and two teenagers 1 month in advance. When we came to the hotel they told us that the where overbooked so the would give us two singelrooms instead for the same price. When we came to the rooms we understood that they had given us rooms on the smoking floor. It smelled dreadful. We went back to the reception and asked […] if we could get not smoking rooms. We had made an reservation for that. Not the first night but we could change rooms the day after. So the first night I was not happy to sleep i a smoky room! The following day we got our suite and after that we where happy again. We were recompensed with free drinks in the bar and some reduction on the garage-fee. The hotel is near nice restaurants and many sights. We where glad that we stayed on this side of the river! Mehr

This hotel belongs to a company that has several hotels in Prague. Due to flight cancelation, we reached there late. But In formed them before by email and phone and I got a reply back that we will keep the room for you as I have already paid for it. Once we were there, they said oh we don't have any suit available, either get two rooms instead or go […] to our other hotel which is far from downtown. Thanks my wife who fighted with tham and she didn't accept. After several phones and waiting for a long time, suddenly a suit became available!! Their other hotel is cheaper and they wanted to send us to that one. Becareful of this trick! Otherwise everything in the hotel was good. Mehr

The hotel staff, reception, dining room and bar,were all friendly and welcoming. Buffet breakfast plentiful and satisfying. Hotel very close to tourist sites such as Castle and Charles Bridge. Only in Prague for two days but would love to return and continue sightseeing from this base.

Hotel Roma was much closer than we'd previously expected from looking at maps. Thought we'd have to tram it everywhere, but walking was a lot easier (and nicer)! We didn't get the room type we had originally booked and they had no more left so had to wait one night to get a room we actually paid for! WE had a fantastic time. The Roma is a lovely hotel. It was more than we expected. Everyone was more the helpful and friendly. The hotel was so clean and breakfast was good. Art work in the lobby. A great bar All at reasonable prices..

We had a very nice stay - 2 adults and 2 kids - in a large 2 room suite. Clean and nice hotel with friendly service. Only but, is that you have to pay ekstra to use their Sauna facilities, which was a turn off..

The Hotel Roma is simply the best hotel I have ever stayed in. This was our first trip to Prague but we were due to stay in several hotels over our time there. Hotel Roma was very easy to find and is immediately welcoming from the minute you are through the door. The customer service is warm and welcoming. We were told of the free breakfast, the bar […] area and given various pieces of information about what there was to do. The hotel was within a short 10/15 minute walk of Prague's major sites, including the castle, Charles Bridge, the Astronomical Clock and the winter markets; and it sits at the foot of the beautiful Petřín hill. With a tram stop right outside the hotel, further destinations like the Žižkov tower were within a few minutes journey. Just across Legion Bridge we found Café Slavia, which serves 4 star meals with friendly service. Both the main market areas (near the Astronomical Clock and Wenceslaus Square) are within walking distance. Our room was pristine on our arrival and was serviced everyday to an immaculate standard. Room service was available all day and just a quick call to the reception away. The staff went out of their way to assist in any concerns or questions. Our single criticism of the hotel was on quiet occasions, such as early mornings, water could from time to time be heard running through the pipes in the walls. This didn't particularly bother us, however. Overall, a fantastic hotel and one we'd happily recommend and stay at again. Genuinely one of the best hotels I have stayed in to date. Mehr

I stayed here in 2009 and it was rather inexpensive. However on my last visit it cost me almost twice as much (one year later). I stayed here one night in 2010 and then moved to a less expensive hotel. Although Roma is a nice hotel with a good location, I was able to get a clean and modern full studio apartment "hotel" only 8 blocks or so away - and […] it cost about half as much as Roma. When I return to Prague I would not spend the extra money here because I don't think it's worth it. Mehr

Less then a kilometer to the castle.

My partner and I are frequent travellers and we are not that fussy when it comes to accomodation - we rely heavily on reviews such as these to guide us. As long as we have a clean roon and bed we are usually happy . But this hotel is that and so much more - clean, large, airy rooms with a touch of luxury. Ample buffet style breakfast. Good location […] within walking distance to most sights in prague and also right next to a tram line. Fast wi-fi internet access and pleasant, attentive staff. Overall we had a very good stat at hotel roma! Mehr

There are a few rooms in what used to be attic or storage and can be accessed from the 4th floor by a half flight of stairs. These are the 500 series, (502, etc.) The rooms are small and have a sloped ceiling which creates a very poor environment. I repeatedly hit my head on the low ceiling and could barely see myself in the bathroom mirror since it […] is mounted at waist level. There was no desk and the internet was not working either. The hotel looked nice and I spoke with other guests who, with rooms on lower floors, were quite happy with their rooms. I recommend the hotel for its location, but under no circumstances should you accept a room on the 5th floor! Mehr

The hotel was nice but the main problem was the shower. It had a tub and shower head, no shower curtain so the water sprayed all over the bathroom. Other than that it is a nice hotel and conveniently located.

Stayed 4 days for Christmas markets in 2-rm suite with wife and 2 teenagers. Hotel Roma is well-located near the center of one of Europe's most beautiful cities. Easy walk to most tourist sites, plentiful choice of restaurants nearby, and the trolley stops steps away from the front entrance. The hotel is well appointed with good breakfast (incl eggs […] and sausage) and helpful staff both at the front desk and in the dining room. Wired internet in the rooms went out the 2nd day, but public-use computers and wireless were available in the lobby. One negative and caution -- negotiate fare for taxi prior to use. Taxis to the airport should run about 550 Koruna (30 USD) our driver took the "scenic route" to the airport and wanted 700 Koruna. I reminded him of the rate quoted when we called for the taxi, and he finally relented (no tip for him). Mehr

We were very pleased with this hotel. We stayed in the family suite which was quite spacious (2 bedrooms connected to a sitting room). The bathroom was of good size and clean. The hotel is also within walking distance to many tourist sites and restaurants. The front desk was very friendly and informative about places to see and eat at. We've just returned from 5 nights in the Roma Hotel and can't speak highly enough of it. The location is perfect-a nice quiet area just a short walk away from Charles Bridge and the beautifel Old Town. The staff were all friendly and very helpful and the room was cleaned to a high standard. We will definitely stay there again if we return to Prague […] . Mehr

Can not beat the location. It has it's own stop on the tram which has quiet trains leaving all day and night to anywhere you want to go. Makes getting around a breeze. The room was adequate, not in a bad way. Not luxurious but very very clean comfortable and nice.

At first we were impressed with the hotel lobby but then everything went downhill from there. The hotel desk clerk who checked us in was not a pleasant or cheerful man at all in any of our encounters with him. Our room was sorely lacking in comparison to the beauty of the hotel lobby with yellow painted walls. The room was very basic. There was only […] one chair in the room for two people. The minibar had half filled bottles in it. The floors are all tile throughout the hotel so everything is loud and echoes. Inside our room, we could hear everything going on outside our room in the halls as well as things going on in other rooms around us, specifically in the room above us (with window shut). We heard every chair scraping the ground above, we heard the people laughing and walking around, and we heard the bathroom water when the toilets flushed or the shower or tub was used. It was very annoying to be woken up at midnight by our noisy upstairs neighbors. And, if that wasn't enough, the service that we attempted to get from the hotel personel was sorely lacking. We were supposed to be getting free hi speed wireless internet, which is part of the reason that we booked this hotel, but their internet did not work at all in our room and barely worked a little bit off and on in the lobby. We tried to talk to the hotel staff about it but they didn't seem to care very much and were annoyed with our plee. It must be a normal ongoing issue with them. Also, their one and only elevator broke the day after we arrived so we had to climb up and down 4 flights of stairs every day and carry our gigantic bags down the stairs ourselves when we checked out. When we checked our bags with the conceirge we noticed that they didn't lock the room that the bags were stored in. Also, they only give you one key for the room and you have to keep the key inserted in a box in the room to keep the power on in the room, so if 2 or more people are staying in the room and 1 person wants to leave to go e Mehr

Great location, right across the street from bus stop and park. The room was very nice, beautiful bathroom. The free breakfast was good also, and the restaurant was beautiful. They have a great bar in the lobby with a signature drink every night, however the lobby was very smoky (not unusual for Europe, I know). Staff was very helpful with directions […] and arranging taxis. The tourist office is also located inside the hotel lobby, so if you want to book tours, etc., it's very easy. Mehr

The hotel is situated just minutes from the Charles Bridge and also has the tram in front of the hotel for easy access to any part of town. The desk staff were fluent in English and were able to give us directions on what public transportation to use to get anywhere we needed. The room was very nice. We were in an alcove at the top of the hotel, so […] we did not hear any street noise. The breakfast was included and was very abundant. We took a fold up cooler in our suitcase and the staff provided ice every day for the cooler, sometimes twice a day if we needed. We had a no smoking room and they even have no smoking floors so you do not smell smoke when you walk down the hall from your room. The lobby allows smoking and if this is bothersome, avoid it. We brought our own food and would eat on the patio outside by the bar. That was very nice.Their bar in the lobby was well equipped. Mehr

A central location. The bedroom and bathroom large. The breakfast just the ticket to start a long sight seeing day. Free internet in lobby.

Vårt tredje opphold i Praha og vårt tredje opphold på Hotel Roma. Det sier alt. En fantastisk by og et bra hotell når en ikke søker maksimal luksus. Mye igjen for pengene.

Kiva ja mutkaton hotelli, miellyttävä ja avulias henkilökunta. Hyvä aamiainen. Hotelli jousti hienosti huoneen luovutuksen suhteen.

Fint hotell med bra beliggenhet til en god pris. Store fine rom. Eneste negative var harde puter og at det bare var badekar med håndholdt dusj. Litt kjedelig frokost, men nok kaker for de som liker det.

Hotellet är inte så stort men en mycket lugn miljö, det är gångavstånd till gamla stan och alla sevärdheter, hållplats till spårvagnen utanför hotellet och det finns många resturanger runt kvarteret i alla prisklasser och framför allt så är det några minuters promenad till Cafe´Savoge ett jättemysigt ställe med både mat och fantastiska tårtor.

l'hotel est très bien situé et permet de visiter à pied de nombreux sites touristiques. Le tram passe juste devant pour ceux qui ne veulent pas marcher! Pour l'arrivée, on peut prendre la navette de l'hotel pour le transfert de l'aéroport vers l'hotel. Très bon accueil. Petit déjeuner copieux. har benyttet dette hotellet 3 ganger, minus for liten heis, må skvise barnevognen inn. dette gjelder fløyen med suiter. litt kjedelig frokost. hotellet ligger litt utenfor sentrum, men synes det er positivt med stille område.

Fire overnatninger på hotel Roma i Prag har kun været en fornøjelse. Skønt med rene klinkegulve frem for mølædte gulvtæpper. Fin service. Dejligt stort værelse og badeværelse. Dejlig morgenmadsbuffet med alt hvad man kan ønske sig. Virkelig value for money

Dette var vårt første besøk i Praha og vi var spent på beliggenhet i forhold til det vi hadde lyst til å se. Det svarte til forventningene; Hotellet lå sentralt og var helt topp. Nydelig frokost! Det eneste minuset var at for oss var sengene litt for harde. Ryggen liker ikke så harde madrasser. Men altså, helhetsinntrykket var veldig bra. Kan trygt […] anbefales. (-; Mehr

Vi har nå bodd på Roma Hotel to ganger. Det betyr at vi liker oss her. Et bra hotell med hyggelig betjening. Fin beliggenhet når en ønsker å gjøre Praha til fots. Vår erfaring er at dette er et stille og rolig hotell. Perfekt for godt voksne mennesker. Vi har bare en klage: på dobbeltrom bør det være to - ikke bare en stol. Vi anbefaler likevel hotellet […] på det varmeste til alle som skal besøke vakre og interessante Praha. P.Br. Mehr
