With hotels.com we got a very small, lowest level room, which required using stairs, as our floor was not serviced by the elevator.

In Beaver Creek, where a small yogurt can cost $4, this was a fair deal. The location is good but does require a short walk to the slopes which is easier handled via the shuttle if you need to carry skis. The staff was very nice and helpful. I book most of my rooms on hotel.com for the reviews so I can see where to stay. The pictures and reviews made me wonder about booking this. I am glad I did. I am a fanatic when it comes to researching where to stay. The hotel is within 5 min walking to the main square and ski area. If you don't want to walk the shuttle is real quick and easy.and don't […] think i ever waited more than 10 min. The hotel is actually ski in and ski out. there is a small trail that leads to one of the lifts and from there you can go to anywhere on the mountain. The rooms are really spread out so you will have to walk to your room and with the altitude change it can sometimes be tiring. The only downside is the rooms don't have central air. It has heat only so it sometimes can get rather hot. but I would just crack the door. For the price and location of the other hotels in the area this is a real good deal and it would be great for families. There is even a ski shop on site at the hotels and they were awesome they had me out skiing within 30 minutes of my arrival. Would def book again Mehr

the room was totally over rated!! extremely expensive for the condition of it!! its like going back in time!! very old!! for that money we can find anything anywhere in beaver creek!

We enjoyed our stay at the Charter at Beaver Creek. The lounge and staff in there were great. Amazing scallops, always an unexpected treat in the mountains. One major disappointment was breakfast. We were told by the bellmen upon check that breakfast was complimentary. While we intended on heading into town, free is free, so we stayed. Unfortunately, […] we were presented with a bill after breakfast. At no time were we told three would be a charge, nor were there any signs stating there was a charge. Our complimentary buffet breakfast ended up costing over $60. Unfortunately, the staff in the breakfast area did not speak very good English and did not understand the situation. We paid and went upstairs to discuss the issue with the front desk. They apologized but said we must have misheard the bellmen, even though 3 of us heard the same thing. They made no offer to remedy the situation or take any responsibility . . . even splitting the cost would have been appreciated. This error negated the great deal we got through Hotels.com Since we missed out on trying a restaurant in town because and felt the hotel did not care enough about future business to offer any retribution, we did leave disappointed. We went to The Charter for our anniversary with some friends and rented a 2 bedroom condo. We had an absolutely fantastic time. We have a great view of Beaver Creek Mountain. The patio was awesome to sit on and have a few drinks and the fireplace was fantastic. We used it every night!. I highly recommend staying here. You can't beat the location at […] all. the best service of any hotel i've stayed in. we arrived and only were there for less than 24 hrs, but they treated us like royalty, were very helpful with directions and more than accomadating. they had everything loaded out of the car and on the way to the room before we had even checked in. room was very comfortable and had some nice touches (free […] bottle of wine, wine charms etc) and the staff was beyond friendly. didnt get to sample the in-hotel bar/restaurant, but it was very charming and cozy. would definitely stay here again, especially given the competitive rate. I read reviews of The Charter before deciding to go there. Basically, we knew there may be some issues (no a/c, older facility), but we accepted that b/c the price was much better here than any other place near the village. Sadly, I'm not sure it was worth it. The hotel feels old with air fresheners and nice, large furniture trying to make it feel fancy. […] Plus, the fact that we had to have our windows open at night (it was low 70's in the day time and low 50's at night) meant we were woken up multiple times by a very loud wedding party celebrating in their condo a few windows down. Luckily, the person at registration was more helpful the next morning than the person we originally encountered at check in and we were upgraded to a condo from a basic hotel room and our first night was comped due to the noise. Very nice of her--her name was Patty. The pool and hot tub areas were nice, but the workout room left a lot to be desired. Mehr

ok for skiiers

Well done guys. We are from Australia and heard that USA or Canada was great for skiing and they were spot on. The hotel was great with friendly staff and ski rental in house. Little pricey but convienient and helpful we will be back

We've stayed at other Beaver Creek properties and this one just seemed weathered. The people and service was great, but the decor was just a little to mountain sheik.

Should put ice machines on all floors.

This is truly an outstanding hotel. Our room was beautiful with a balcony. The view was gorgeous! The staff was professional and enthusiastic majing our stay memorable. Stay here and you will have no regrets.

The only problem was that you could not see the TV from your bed.

Would not stay here again because of the quality of the room.

We stayed at the Charter with our 7-year-old. It's the perfect hotel for families. The location is perfect, a nice stroll to the heart of the Beaver Creek resort. We loved the pool and we really enjoyed breakfast. Make sure to make your own waffles!

The Hotel was wonderful and the staff was extremely nice. We were given a free drink coupon and also a coupon for 10% off our meal at the Italian restaurant which was also amazing. close to all the Beaver Creek Village shops & attractions. The staff provides superior service. Location & ammenties are superb. This property & most in the area are not set up with air conditioning due to the fact its a winter resort, so its a little hot in the summer months during the day but it cools down at night to make the room temperature better. My husband and I arrived early for check-in and the room was ready for us to get into. We weren't happy with where the room was positioned (small window on courtyard). We are light sleepers and like a quiet room. We ended up upgrading to a one bedroom condo and the one we were put in was very smelly (strong curry/garlic smell). We couldn't handle being […] in the room for a few minutes let alone 2 days. The person up front was very understanding and ended up putting us in a room that was the greatest room I have ever stayed in. It was comfortable, cozy and really made you feel like you were in the mountains. He was so helpful and put us in a great room which we were so thankful for. All in all after settling in we had a wonderful time at the Charter. Mehr

Great service, from everyone at the hotel (ski valet, valet parking, drivers, etc...) Would go back any time.

Very nice hotel with a good view of the mountain. Very good breakfast and good service. The pool area is terrific and despite the fact that we visited the hotel in late September the pools were open and warm. Good room quality and overall a very pleasant stay.
