Crowne Plaza Dublin Northwood - Dublin

Wir habenauf der Weiterfahrt zu unserem Urlaubsort eine Nacht in diesem Hotel vrbracht und waren sehr zufrieden. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, angenehmer Aufenthalt, gutes Frühstücksbüffet. Großes Plus ist der Flughafen Shuttle-Bus, der übrigens auch an der Mietwagen-Sammelstelle hält.

Great to be close to the airport. Shuttle bus was on time when leaving in the morning. Hotel was nice, room was a good size. Staff at the front desk were helpful in answering our questions.

great but expensive for the retired.an irish breakfast would have been special.

This hotel is perfect for staying close to Dublin Airport. We were attending a seminar in a beautiful meeting room. A healthy lunch was laid on. The rooms were masculine in style but afforded every convenience.

hotel was excellent, clean comfortable, close to the airport, the bar food was excellent and well priced, great athmosphere in bar and hotel , breakfast was a little on the pricey side of this but good quality , would recommend

Lovely hotel. Very impressed with friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Very well located hotel. Would have preferred not to have to pay for parking though. Feel I paid enough to stay in the hotel and objected to having to pay €6 for parking. Otherwise very pleasant stay.

When we pulled up in front of the hotel, nobody came to help us with our luggage, so I got it all out of the car myself. Then, I waited about 20 minutes in line while the one service person helped another couple. Finally a second desk person arrived, and told me that my room would only have one bed. I told her that I specifically chose this hotel because […] the room would have 2 beds. She insisted there were no rooms like this, until I found where it said on my hotels.com receipt that there would in fact be 2 beds, and she magically found a room with 2 beds. Meanwhile, the couple who had been with the other desk person for 20+ minutes whispered to me that they had a reservation, but there was NO room for them, and they were working on getting them into another hotel. I have to say though, once I got through that painful check in process, the room was very nice, the bathroom especially impressed me. Breakfast at the hotel the next morning was reasonably priced and nicely done. Finally, the hotel shuttle is convenient, but instead of dropping you right at the terminal, they drop you about a quarter mile from the terminal, at a bus depot. This may be an airport regulation, but it was tough for me, traveling with a 5 year old and a 70+ year old. I'm not sure if would book this hotel again, they seem to have some gaps they need to work on. Mehr

I booked this hotel because I needed something near the airport with shuttle service to the terminal. It was a perfect choice and since I had booked and paid in advance check in was a breeze. I highly recommend this location.

Lovely hotel with good bus service to city centre. Staff very pleasent. Nice surroundings and no noise

Had experience of this hotel chain in other parts of the world and have always been happy. Arrived late afternoon on 5.30.11 and Tatiana was exceeding helpful and met all of our arrival needs very quickly and efficiently. Had a very early flight, therefore early room service. What a disapointment. A very sad looking breakfast, incorrect items and two […] of the three pots of breakfast jams had been previously opened and used. Quite off-putting to say the least. Our departure was handled very well from the reception, appologies given for room service items and airport transportation arranged very promptly. Mehr

This hotel was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in but the level of service offered was terrible. Good points: -Nice rooms and at 100 euros you cannot get much better - Close to airport but very far from downtown Dublin Bad points: -Gym was very small, complete waste of time - Staff were very rude. Asked a guy for directions and he practically […] ignored me. - They say that they have three restaurants but in fact they have a function room, a bar and one restaurant. - When we were there that one restaurant was booked until 9pm for a function plus the bar was reserved for a delayed flight. I was told to eat in the lobby or get room service. - They charge for their parking which I did not see detailed anywhere on their web site. Very easy to find and the access to the airport and public transportation was simple. Had a bit of difficulty understanding the city buses but a friendly local was more than happy to point us in the right direction. Rooms were very clean and modern with all the ammenities. Would highly recommend.

Great location (park) very clean hotel-only flaw is the hotel shuttle service bus running its engine under our windows !!!! Very annoying-Receptionist turned resident bar waiter was unfriendly and untrained

Hotel is convenient for ariport but is some distance from city centre and other facilities. Also, nowhere did it say that car parking charges would have to be paid.

This hotel was very close to the airport and the free shuttle was extremely convenient. The shuttle driver and the entire hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The service was great and I had a good night sleep before an early flight. I would have stayed there all week if I had known how comfortable and enjoyable my stay would have been. The hotel was beautiful! The free shuttle service to and from the airport was also a great plus - it would have been better if we'd known where to find the bus from the airport to the hotel. It was located kind of off the grid, so call ahead to find the location, if possible. They have no email listed, which caused some difficulties on our end as well. […] The shuttle service will save you a lot. Our taxi ride cost like 25-30 euros, including a "detour" around the saint patrick's day parade! You need to insert your keycard into a reader by the door in order to activate the electricity for the room. Internet is free and there is a shower and a tub in the bathroom. The room was spacious and very clean. At the end of the street, you can catch the bus into town. It doesn't take you directly into the main parts of town...or if it did, we got off on the wrong stop. It was hard trying to take the bus back to the hotel, finding which stops to take and which buses to jump on. You also needed exact change to ride the bus, so finding your way to and from Dublin is not super convienent, but can be done. We took the taxi. Mehr

If you're picky about food get something before you show up at the hotel because there's nothing for miles around. Other than that it's well appointed, and the rooms are as nice as any we stayed in while there.

Close to the airport. They provide a shuttle to and from the airport. The only negative aspect of the hotel is their food. I would not recommend eating there.

An excellent hotel . Good restaurant and near airport.

Firstly the reviews were great on this hotel and as one of the only 10/10 hotels near to DUB airport I wanted to give it a try. I stayed for one night and in fact would have checked out after the first night had I been staying longer. My room was not very clean with hairs in the bed (supposedly fresh sheets for a fresh guest??) and the bathroom was […] beginning to look a little shabby. But worst of all the housekeeping were banging loudly outside my room and in the rooms either side from 7.30 AM. This was not acceptable, the walls must be thin but the banging sounded like maintenance work was being carried out. When I looked it was just noisy housekeeping. I explained this to the front desk and just got the usual corporate apology without much in the way of substance. I've stayed in Crowne plaza's all over the world and they are fairly consistent, perfectly acceptable.This one wasn't. There are plenty of other hotels locally that are worth a try instead but if you do stay here check your room thoroughly before you unpack your bags. If air conditioned rooms are a must to beat the Irish heat ( yes it can get warm here during the summer months) then the Crown Plaza is for you. Complimemtary shuttle to and from the airport, nearby buses to the city centre, and luxurious comfortable rooms all add to the appeal of this hotel. Hotel entirely suitable for our requirements - close to Dublin City University. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant. We found food (particularly breakfast) and drink expensive but this was counterbalanced by the very reasonable room rate

Upon arrival, you are greeted by a large fish tank which suited the look of the hotel very well. The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were nice, bathroom were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Downside is that you don't get much of a view out the window and ladies - it's best to bring your own hairdryer as the one […] the hotel provides is really slow and took ages to dry my hair. Guys - don't get excited that there's a gym as it's very small and the machines are great either. There is an airport shuttle bus which runs a good service every 30mins. Stayed here on night before flying out. VERY handy and every bit as comfortable as more expenseive sister hotel, Crown, next door which I stayed in 2 months before.

Our recent stay at the Crowne Plaza Northwood in Dublin was great. Our room was ready early and the desk staff was very helpful in recommending nearby things we needed/wanted, as well as explaining the transportation system. The free airport shuttle runs every half hour from 6am to late evening, except for once an hour in the middle of the day. The […] rooms and hotel were big and clean, free wifi was nice, and it is within easy walking distance of the bus line that goes right into the city center for 1,80 euros, which was very convenient.
