La Quinta Inn Salt Lake City West - West Valley City

This hotel were in a better neighborhood!

Stayed here on a recent trip to SLC. Very clean with a nice free breakfast in the morning. Convenient to get to downtown and right off the highway for a day trip to Park City or any points south. Very reasonably priced. Definitely recommend.

The service at this hotel could not be better.

It was a great price although when we first pulled up we figured it was because of the condition of the hotel. The outside was deceiving because it was slightly run down. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly.

Staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. After we had left and were almost home we realized we had left some very important items in our room. I called the hotel and they found them quickly. They let us know they had the items and shipped them out the next day. It was a relief to receive our items back and in good condition.

Very reasonable price, and clean accommodations. Will stay here again. Breakfast eggs were good for a change, did not taste like rubber.

I've come to enjoy my stays at La Quintas', is has always been so enjoyable at reasonable cost. This stay was so disapopinting. Everything seemed so cramped. The room was small, the bathroom was small - including the bathtub being smaller than what I have at home, the vanity counter was very small. In fact, the only thing that was large enough to enjoy […] was t he 37" TV! This facility was an older model with only mediocre upgrades. I'll continue to stay at La Quintas', but certainly not this one again> Mehr

The room was very nice and clean, but the hall and all the way to the room smelled like cigarettes, it was very unpleasant, but the room was very comfortable and very clean.

I rented two rooms for our annual grand kids Holiday sleepover. They loved swimming in the pool and hot tub. The rooms were nice, however I wish I could have gotten two adjoining rooms. The Breakfast on Saturday Morning was great. Even our pickiest eater was happy. I especially enjoyed the egg/cheese with sausage and waffles. Good Job.

The West Valley LaQuinta is one of my first choices in the Salt Lake valley. The staff is top notch and the overall quality of the hotel is superb!

The staff were very accomodating and helpful. The property is very well maintained.

Nice, clean rooms and friendly service.

We were pleased with the roominess, & overall look of our room. The breakfast was more than expected,(thank you). the only complaint was that the garbage had not been emptied, & made us wonder what else was not readied for guests. Overall, thanks.

We stayed for one night.  Not the best La Quinta I've stayed at but it is clean and the workers are friendly and helpful.  The breakfast was average - bonus points for the waffle maker.  The hotel is located right next to the highway so it was very convenient for a short stay.  We were moving across the country so we needed a big parking space for […] our 26' moving truck and the attached car carrier.  Fortunately, there was plenty of space behind the hotel next to the bakery.  We had an even numbered room which let us peek at our truck from our room whenever we wanted.  I'm not familiar with Salt lake City neighborhoods so I don't know about the area too much.  It seemed safe enough.  The hotel is also small pet friendly so the hotel had no problem with our cats.  One thing I would have liked is more lights for the parking area behind the hotel.   Mehr

Great service. Nice place to stay. Great breakfast. Would gladly recommend hotel. Only thing I would like to have more vending machine choices than sodas.

This motel is a little run down and in need of a makeover. The picture shown when you look up the motel does not exactly reflect what you find.

We needed a place to stay for the evening. It was adequate and suited our needs. Close to the airport and highways. The staff was curtious and nice. There are a lot of good restaurants nearby. If you are looking the same, then I would recommend.

Much better than the Ramada I stayed at the night before.

Great hotel for a traveler with children. They hae a pool and spa and fitness area. Lots to eat very close to hotel. Right off freeway, but very quiet. I will stay there with my kids again.

I find that you can't go wrong with LaQuinta and this place was not an exception.

We enjoyed our stay at this location, although the pool area was nice the water was COLD, the chlorine was overbearing and the hot tub had so much foam in it we did not even attempt to get in. We did reserve there for the hot tub number one as we are older and the hot tub is very relaxing after the long drive.

They have obviously spent some money to upgrade all of the rooms and lobby. Why they didin't spend the extra $400.00/per room for a newer flat screen TV baffled me.

When we first arrived at the hotel the women hardly spoke English. We had a hard time understanding her. We got to our room and like everyone does check things out, The paint in the bathroom was pealing off the wall in two areas,the shower/bath stall was coming off the wall about half way down the wall. Tried to take a shower but had no hot water,called […] down to the desk they said that they would look into it. So the next morning my Husband and I again tried to take showers and again no hot water. They could not give any reasons for this. And did not offer anything for the inconvence it was for us. I could have looked passed the bathroom mess if we only had hot water. Plus if you like tv the channel selection was not that great. Mehr

Clean, and quiet. The pool was as cold as ice, which was sad because we tried hard to find an indoor pool. The breakfast was not that great. The service was pretty good, about half of the workers were really kind, the other half weren't so helpful.

This breakfast was fantastic! One of the best we have experienced along the way. Very clean. Many things to eat. Including waffles,eggs,sausage,bagels,toast,cereal,fresh fruit,yogurt. Highly recommend this place.

This was my first ever stay at a La Quinta Hotel and I found it to be very satisfactory. The Hotel was nice, clean, quiet and roomy. The morning breakfast was simple yet satisfying and the rate to stay was excellent. Will be staying there again soon.

Good spot for us; we were flying out the next day. this was near the airport without being on top of it; near a shopping mall and restaurants for convenience. The breakfast the next morning looked great, although we didn't have time to partake of all of it... We grabbed a bite and left. Will stay again. Reasonable rates, clean and comfortable.

The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean, and they were fantastic about the dog. It was our first time with our new dog and were concerned that hotels that allow dogs would be less quality, NOT TRUE. Clean and comfy. Excellent location right off freeway. enjoyed our stay and only glitch was a remote for TV that didn't work. It took a couple of tries, but it was fixed. Helpful, friendly staff and close to several good eating places. It was quiet and I would recommend it.

I was very pleased with this hotel. We drove in from Los Angeles and were very tired. Upon arrival, we were early and asked if possible we can check in early if available. Staff was very nice, breakfast was better than I expected, room was very nice and clean. When we first drove up to the hotel, honestly it was not very pleasing, so some work on the […] exterior would be nice, but once inside, I was very surprised and pleased! I do have one thing to recommend to the hotel staff, and that was the refridgerator was not very cold so my food did not last very long in there...but thankful for the ice-machine because the refridgerator did not keep things cold. although the surrounding areas was not the best, there were no problems whatsoever and whats really nice about it is that it's close to the mall and many other eateries....they have in-out burger, olive garden, red robins, and many other places to eat in the same area as the mall and it's about a 3 min drive from the Hotel! overall it was a great experience and I would definitely stay there again. The only problem we had was very noisy neightbors banging up & down the hall until late at night and then again in the morning. This is not the hotel's fault, but made sleeping difficult.

Hotel is fairly new and is well maintained. It was actually nicer than the Hampton Inn I stayed at the previous evening in Orem, Utah for a much lower price.

The hotel was clean and well maintained. The room was comfortably furnished and clean. Everything was functional. It was located close to the freeway so car travelling was very convenient. The breakfast was quite well stock with a selection of food including waffles which you make, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereals, bread for toast, rolls, coffee, juice […] and bagels. The only negative is that this motel chain imposes a fee for a second person even though we clearly stated that there will be two persons occupying the room. Mehr

The hotel staff were always available, friendly, and attentive, including giving me directions around town and recommendations for local businesses that I was interested in. Check in and check out were a total breeze. The bed was super comfortable, with lots of pillows that were actually comfortable too! (I always take my own pillows because I have […] issues with most hotel pillows.) The room was very clean. I left the bathroom light/fan on 24/7 because it was one of those fluorescent lights that starts out super dim and brightens after it's been on awhile, and I really don't like low lighting in bathrooms, but it was plenty light with being left on. There was an iron/ironing board that was in good working order. I noticed in some reviews people complained of the air conditioner turning on and off constantly, and that was true, but I like to sleep with the window open, and the weather cooled off nicely at night so I was able to do that. One thing to mention though: the hotel is right next to a freeway, so there is a lot of freeway noise with the window open. Fortunately for me, I live next to a noisy freeway, so it didn't bother me! The air conditioner kept the room a comfortable temperature during the day (I wasn't around much, but when I came in and out it was fine), but it seemed to be too stuffy for me at night--probably because I'm used to sleeping next to an open window 365 days a year. The hallway smelled somewhat of smoke--I'm not sure why--my room was non-smoking and had no odor whatsoever coming in from the hall, so it was fine. The continental breakfast was about what I expected--nothing to write home about, but enough to stave off morning hunger and get a caffeine fix. The grounds surrounding the hotel were not much to look at, but it was super convenient to all the freeways and main roads that I needed, and I wasn't there to visit a hotel anyway.
