Der Service in dem Hotel war wunderbar: Jeder Mitarbeiter konnte weiterhelfen, alle waren sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Die Ausstattung des Hotels ist normal, voellig in Ordnung fuer ein paar Tage. Das Hotel liegt mitten auf dem Gelaende der Temple University, was sicher besonders fuer junge Leute spannend ist. Das Zentrum Philadelphias ist entweder […] direkt per Metro oder durch einen halbstuendigen Fussmarsch zu erreichen. Wlan gibt es, allerdings nur in der Lobby mit schneller Geschwindigkeit. Das Hotel hat ein kleines Fruehstueck, allerdings sollte man hier nicht zu anspruchsvoll sein. Insgesamt ein sehr freundliches, gemuetliches kleines Hotel, in dem man gut ein paar Tage verbringen kann. Mehr

Das Hotel liegt inmitten der Temple University und unweit deren Metrostation. Das Hotelpersonal war sehr freundlich und Service, für diesen Preis, super. Mein Zimmer war sehr geräumig und gemütlich.

This is a trip for my college visiting. The hotel located on the Temple University campus. Just by 5 mins walk you can get to the train station which can bring you to many locations in Philadelphia including the PHL airport.

I loved it, it was oddly on a college campus, allowed dogs (I have a 55lb Aussie) and next to the metro, I felt safe walking my dog by myself where at my apartment which i don't, the room was set up amazing. Will stay again!

It was a lovely hotel. We booked two rooms, and the person who checked us in switched them by accident, but we rectified that ourselves (single vs. double with a small dog). It was very safe with tons of police patrolling, and cheap, fast college-town restaurants. If you wanted a lovely sit-down dinner, there was nothing within walking distance, but […] the theatre and supermarket were close by and you could catch the subway 2 blocks away to the Reading Terminal and Convention Center. We truly enjoyed our stay at the Conwell. Probably the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in (I actually was able to sleep, without building a futon out of bedspreads). The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The Continental breakfast was a bit scant, but adequate (it was Continental after all). The hotel is next door to the campus police […] station, so security was not an issue, at least on campus, and there is a 7-11 next door to the hotel, as well. There were only two things I could say that are negative: 1) the WiFi was very poor (and the building made phone service and air-card service problematic as well); 2) they really should publish the "old" address (1331 West Berks Ave.), without which, my GPS (TomTom) took me into some very sketchy neighborhoods, and an hour out of the way (with the Berks address, went right to it. I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of my room. The floor needed vacuuming and the beds had not been changed. The beds were made up as if they were, but when you pulled back the covers, there were hairs and specks of dirt on the sheets, and appeared slept on. We really liked this little hotel. It is on the campus of Temple University and is very close to the SEPTA subway system. The hotel and surrounding areas felt very safe for walking no matter what time of day or night. There is a great little strip of carry out restaurants close by with outdoor seating, and nearby street food trucks for those who like […] a little culinary adventure! (We did!) The hotel front desk was very helpful with advice and directions, and we had no problems with our stay. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to see Philly. We would happily stay there on our next trip. In the lobby, there were always fresh cookies and apples for the taking. There is a cool little coffee shop downstairs with great breakfast choices and an excellent coffee and tea selection. We patronized it quite a few times. Mehr

I highly suggest visiting their website beforehand to receive directions to the hotel. The address listed does not show up on GoogleMaps or GPS. The hotel is located on Temple University and it is next door to campus security. If you don't like being around college students, this place is not for you...other than that, very nice, quaint, and perfect for a weekend stay. Plenty in the area and only 2 blocks away from the subway that will take you anywhere in the city. That part was awesome!

The Conwell Inn is a must-stay hotel if you are visiting Temple University as it is located right in the university. It also is located very near access to the user friendly subway system for travel to the rest of Philadelphia. Its a nice little hotel, but the location isn't great. Even GoogleMaps couldn't find it. Be sure to reserve a parking space when you make your reservation because there aren't enough spaces for everyone and the closest parking garage is 3 blocks away.

This Inn was even better than we were expecting. Obviously, they have improved since some of the negative reviews I had read. By phone and in person EVERY employee was just super. The entire place is immaculate and the room was beautiful. The bed and pillows were too hard for me but that is a personnal thing. My husband thought they were fine. It was […] a very easy walk to the subway and they had a taxi waiting for us when we checked out. They are A+++++. If we ever get back to Philly we will definately call them first. A very small yet very comfortable Hotel, on Temple University Campus. We stayed in a clean and suprisingly large room. A subway ride/cab ride from the convention center but we were not looking to stay in center city. Breakfast was a bit sparse but there is a cafe next door. Overall, Highly Recommend.

I was very happy! Extras all cost money though. That means cots (even if you reserve for 4 in a single room, cots are still more $$), a fridge ($10/night), parking ($18/night), etc. All extra. Breakfast is included though. The hotel is very clean, the staff were all really helpful. This was my second time staying at the Conwell Inn and the room I got was huge, had very friendly staff who were willing to help out with every need and I was even engaged in conversation by one of them one my back to my room to a 20 minute conversation. Great place to stay, great service, great spot, you won't go wrong.

Nice hotel, good value, nice small breakast included and right next door to nice coffee shop BUT DO NOT stay in rooms on the alley side. I was awakended 2 nights in a row at 4am for an hour with garbage trucks and dumpster banging. Front Desk knew it was a problem with I complained. I packed up and was ready to leave 2 nights early to get sleep but […] they moved me to a new room on front of hotel.
