I thought the hotel felt fairly 3 star in terms of rooms. I was only there one night but did not explore too much. You can do take-out from Franco's trattoria which was nice. Convenience store a bit overpriced and surprised they didn't open until 9. Sodas at La Cana a rip-off as well - these things matter since there is no minifridge. My biggest issue […] was the $20 they charge for a 5 min ride to the airport, I thought that was highly inappropriate given that I only paid $80 to get there from a location more than an hour away. We chose to stay here after I realized I booked our resort for one less day than we were leaving (oops!), and our resort was booked for that last day. We decided to get something closer to the airport since we would be leaving the next day. We had been staying an hour away. It worked for one day. Overall, it was nice. The service was great, and the […] rooms were clean. We got the room for a great deal through hotels.com and it was a beautiful ocean view. However, there are these little bugs that can be seen a little during the day, but a LOT at night. They were crawling all over the sink and desk. It was pretty gross. Other than that there were no huge turn offs. The food is pricey. We had been staying at an all-inclusive so this was a little shock. We paid $70 for two appetizers, a burger, and simple ravioli. The access to the water (both pool and beach) was nice. There weren't many people there so the beach and pool weren't crowded, which was nice. The only places that have Wi-Fi are the pool and lobby. The breakfast buffet was wonderful

We had to overnight longer because of a flight delay and stayed at this hotel for 2 days and one night. The grounds are very beautiful and the staff at the restaurant and front desk were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was fantastic and the view is breathtaking from the breakfast room. Our room had a nice view of the ocean but it needs updating […] very badly and there was no hot water in the shower during the late evening and early night. just got back a few days ago. beautiful beaches, big breakfast that was included, ecological reserve on the property with lagoons you could swim in, golf course along the sea, golf carts shuttling around the property made it easy to get around even if you sometimes had to wait, the bed was queen size when we asked for King and made way too much noise. […] some restaurants on the property which varied in prices but the food was generally good. there's a village that the hotel provides shuttles to with a few restaurants, a bar, a supermarket and other shops. we unknowingly were there during their Carnaval which included some music performances, costumes and parade. was a little windy. they offered a lot of activities such as scuba diving, kite surfing, etc for extra cost. i really enjoyed this place. we were there or 6 days and never got bored. not perfect but all-in-all a great value and a beautiful place. Excellent hotel for the price we paid.

Understand that The Punta Cana is a resort and they intend for you to stay on that resort. Only issue is you will be paying 3-5x more than what you would pay in the US or elsewhere, only you're in the Dominican Republic where things are suppose to be cheap and the quality of things aren't close to that of that states. In addition, you still won't get […] the real feel of what the DR is all about because you'll be so secluded from real DR life on the resort. There is no beach next to the hotel, only a rocky sandy area. If you want to go to the beach you have to take a shuttle (which runs once every two hours, a joke) and even then the beach is small. If you play golf and come to play golf, this place is a paradise because it's right on the green. You need to expect the staff to direct you in whatever direction is going to cost you more money, lie to you in order to get you to do things where they get paid even though they know other better/cheaper ways of doing things. All Excursions will cost you twice of what you would be able to get in other places like the Bahamas, Cuba, etc despite the fact the hourly wage there is borderline dirt. Bottom line is there was no advantage for traveling to a region or resort that provided no value. There are MUCH nicer places in the Carribbean you can travel too on the same money and get a lot more bang for your buck. The rooms where big but old. There was a problem with the a/c and the humidity inside the room. If you wanted the bed sheets to be dry, you had to set the lousy a/c really low in temp.. If not, the whole room would be humid. We left with a cold. We came back from the beach one day and there were no clean towels left in our room. We tried calling the front desk but our phone was not working (room 3414). We talked to somebody from the staff who called somebody else… the towels arrived more that 3 hours later, close to 11pm when we were already sleeping. The VIP service from the airport is great. the buildings could use a face lift. Didn't have any bikes to rent (although advertised) was difficult to rent golf carts. No business center (although advertised) people at leisure center very unhelpful.

We drove here blindly from the north side of the Island from Las Terrenas. It was well worth the 6 hour drive! We dove with the dive shop that is located on the beach and would highly recommend them. Mark is the owner and is a very hospitable dive master. Adell was our divemaster and she was great! The hotel was very nice and clean, great beaches, there […] is no snorkeling off the beach you have to take a boat to get good views, but there is GREAT snorkeling in the fresh water lagoons in the Eco reserve on the property. It is free to get in if you stay at the Punta Cana hotel. The breakfast buffet is great but the meals for lunch and dinner can get pricey. The restaurants are very good. Try the Mixed Seafood Paella at the Playa Blanca it was awesome. Mehr

I thank you my stay in the hotel is been nice like honey moon to remember. Well it's only missing transportation to the airport, missing entertaiment, and internet service too other than then that it was pleasant stay.

My wife and I have never gone to a resort style destination. We usually go to spots near little towns or villages with an indigenous feel. We didnt expect to love this spot but were going because our friends wanted to go to PC. Well, we LOVED it! Gorgeous grounds. Beautiful scenery. Beautiful beach. Quite nice pool. My husband and I stayed here for five days. The beach is beautiful and the resort is very relaxing. It was very quiet, there is no "real nightlife" to speak of. If you are seeking a rejuvenating tranquil beach this is the resort for you. The pool was the only part of the resort that could use renovation.

The hotel room was dreary the tv was not that was advertised it was a long way from the flat screen, it was more like a box tube and the picture was horrible. My stay was so bad I had to leave one day early and take the loss.

The hotel met our needs. We wanted something close to the airport and it was close. The restraunts closed early and there is no real room service at this hotel. It took over 1 hour to get our food. The ambiance was nice. The breakfast was decent. The hotel met our needs and the staff was friendly. The view was beautiful in the morning.

Our family enjoyed the hotel and resort - great beaches and friendly staff. Only downside was local town is quiet Would go again

Though the Punta Cana grounds were beautiful, we did not have hot water for the duration of our stay. we were asked to "let it run."

Everything was great but its better to print your reservation to avoid delays getting pass security other than that very nice location

The Hotel is adjacent to the Punta Cana International Airport-PUJ- but it is so immensely large need hire transportation to reach.

I booked a junior suite and I found a big town home loft, I love it. It is a bargain for the price. The room was very clean, downstairs was to be a living room, but it has a day bed along with sofa, very comfortable, with a big bathroom The upstair room is the bed room, very clean and spacious. I love the space and the bathroom too. The general environment […] is very luscious with gardens and foliage, very tranquil. I like the golf course is beautiful. i love the fact that there is a pave way miles long along the beach, I enjoyed jogging on it in the morning without getting your feet dirty on the sand. The gym is well equipped with treadmills, racing bikes, and weight machines even a bench press. The only drawback I noticed is that there was no refrigerator in the living room under the console of the TV. And, the TV is the old, big box type, a flat screen could be better, but there is one upstairs. Also, the entertainment area of the property shows signs of aging and lack of maintenance of the walls and windows. The breakfast buffet was not extra ordinary, but there is omelet and scramble eggs to order. Fresh juice had to be ordered, but there is the usual concentrated ones which I do not care for. Overall, this property is beyond my expectations with the price I paid. Mehr

I absolutely loved my stay at the puntacana hotel. I drove from Santo Domingo to Punta Cana which turned out to be longer than expected but when I arrived the hotel had my name posted as soon as I drove up. I was checked in not at the front desk by in an air conditioned office. The hotel is great!!!

I would not classify this hotel as a 4 out of 5 star hotel. At best, it is a 2.5 star hotel. The best part of the property was the Ecological Reserve. It is truly beautiful. The water is crystal clear and the fish like to nibble on you. The colors of the rocks in water, fish and plants are rich and vibrant. This is best part of the Punta Cana property. The […] morning breakfast is treat. There is a variety of foods to satisfy even the pickiest eater. The waitstaff are friendly and accommodating, even if your Spanish is limited. I ate a lot of proteins to keep me satiated through lunch. It is a great place to take your family. There are lots of activities for everyone to do during the day. Also, the hotel is a 10 minute drive from the airport. The landscape is well kept and manicured. The flowers are beautiful. The creatures are plentiful! A large crab somehow managed to walk into the lobby one night. Another night a large tarantula patrolled the hallway of my building. YIKES!!!! The hotel offers a shuttle into town. TAKE IT the first day you arrive. Go to the Punta Cana Supermarket and get your supplies like bottled water, snacks and toiletries. I forgot my toothpaste. I went to the hotel shop to buy toothpaste. I purchased a 22 mL tube of toothpaste (travel size) for the equivalent price of three-8 oz tubes of toothpaste back in the States. The moral of this story is ...if you forget to bring anything GO TO THE SUPERMARKET. The hotel shop is overpriced!!!!! The maids are great, especially if you leave them a tip. Several afternoons after sunbathing I returned to my room and the maid decorated my room and bathroom with flowers. That was such a treat. THANKS!!! Franco's Restaurant-I ate dinner there the first two nights of my stay. It was the worst food I have ever eaten in my life!!! The pizza was unrecognizable. The ravioli was indescribably wretched!!! Not only did the food taste horrible, the food was overpriced. Franco's has overpriced terribly tasting food. YUCK!! Mehr

Perfect ubication, near the airport. Rooms need to be renew, but we received a very kind an excellent reception from all their staff.

Wonderful experience away from the all inclusive resorts. Lunch menus at the hotel's restaurants were great; dinners were a bit disappointing. Best is to rent a car and explore the greater Punta Cana. Staff was great and the facilities is wonderful for a couple or a family who wants to break away from the 'rush'.

Lots of families and kids or party animals. Not for guests looking for a quiet vacation.

The hotel room was ok but the food is expensive and not that great. Service was great and the area was clean.

The hotel is about a 5 minute drive from Punta Cana airport. The rooms were large and well appointed. Right on the beach and the pool is very nice as well. Don't miss the nature walk and wear a bathing suit for the fresh water pools. Was there with work and my option was the Punta Cana Hotel or an all inclusive. Was able to eat/drink for less than […] the difference for the all inclusive. Found the food to be much better quality than most all inclusive properties. The drinks were more intoxicating as well. PROS: Great delicious breakfast in the morning. The beaches are really private. We went 3 week in August and there were only 5 other people on the beach. It is a very quiet environment. CONS: The service was not great. During breakfast you have to hunt down the server to pour you coffee. The resort is not well maintained. Spectacular Location, immaculate golf course, friendly staff...overall an outstanding Value! If possible, play the private Corales golf course...it will knock your socks off!

Estuve 3 noches en el hotel mientras me preparaba para participar en una actividad deportiva patrocinada por ellos: la media marathon de Punta Cana, mi reserva la hice por internet y no hubo problema al ingresar al mismo, la confirmacion la envian automaticamente por correo, excelente servicio, atencion, instalaciones, paisaje, un lugar muy privado […] y seguro, me llevo un gran recuerdo de mi grata estancia en Punta Cana, hermosos paisajes, me encantaria volver con la familia y amigos. Sólo me encontré con una gotera en el baño de mi habitacion, Queda algo retirado de zona poblada para ver tiendas, centros comerciales. Es un todo en uno que bien vale la pena recomendar... En resumen, The Punta Cana Hotel está muy por debajo de las expectativas que ofrece su página y la zona. Después de 43 años, el hotel debe ser remodelado o demolido y, mientras tanto se decide qué hacer, no debe ser ofrecido al público. La Junior Suite Deluxe que ocupé #3025 está muy lejos de ostentar dicha calificación. Alguna vez fue una buena opción, […] hoy no lo es. Lo único que salvó el viaje fue el encanto del escenario de Puntacana -playa, sol, arena, vegetación-, en cuanto al hotel, ni se les ocurra ir. Had eerst een hotelkamer gehuurd, maar die lag niet dicht genoeg bij de zee. Omgeboekt naar een "casita", een huisje voor 4 pers. vlakbij de playa. Open zicht op zee. Puntacana Hotell heeft 5 km proper privé strand! Wandelen en zwemmen en zonnen naar hartelust. Weiniig volk, dus ruimte en rust en ... stilte. Mogelijkheid tot huren van fietsen, snorkel- […] en ander watersporttoebehoren, bootjes, kano's .... OOk mogelijkheid tot zeevisserij, plezierjacht .... Lekker eten : 4 restaurants. Prachtige witte stranden die dagelijks van het aangespoelde zeewier werden ontdaan. Zeearend, pelikanen en witte reigers zien vissen .... Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. A do club de golfe ao lado não pode ser usada porque pertence aos sócios do Tortuga Club, O Hotel oferece shuttle somente para uma praia muito próxima onde só existe um restaurante.Porisso, a localização do Hotel deixa a desejar´. Vi är mycket nöjda med vår vistelse i Punta Cana och med hotellet! Rummen är inte ryrenoverade, men ändå fräscha. Personalen är mycket trevliga! Om du inte vill bo mitt i smeten med alla stora All inclusive-hotell så är Puntacana hotel ett mycket bra alternativ. Hotellet tillhör Puntacana Resort(?) och är det största av hotellområdena, med flera små […] bungalows och trevåningshus med rum. Området är lugnt och mysigt, passar väldigt bra om man vill ha en romantisk semester. På hotellområdet finns två restauranger, en vid poolen och en som serverar en fantastisk frukostbuffé! Stranden precis vid hotellet är inte den bästa, men det är inte långt att gå innan man kommer till de där vita "katalog-stränderna". Om man promenerar ca 15 min åt från hotellet efter stranden kommer man till Six senses spa där det finns restaurang, en mycket fin strand (med solstolar) och pool. Ytterligare längre bort ligger en till strand (med solstolar) med restaurang, där man kan prova på Kite. Går man istället åt andra hållet från hotellet tar det ca 15 minuter till Marinan där den trevliga restaurangen La Yola ligger, precis över vattet. Samtliga dessa restauranger tillhör hotellet och man behöver inte betala direkt utan kan sätta upp på hotellnotan och betala vid avresa. Mycket bra då man inte behöver så mycket kontanter med sig. Maten är mycket god med inte billig, man kan nästan räkna med svenska priser. Var uppmärksam på att de lägger på moms och serviceavgift till de priser som står i menyn. Vill man inte promenera så går det shuttles från hotellet på bestämda tider. Man kan också ta shuttle till "staden" Punta Cana. Denna upplevs dock som ett uppbyggt litet centrum för turister. Finns en del butiker och några restauranger, men när vi var där så var det väldigt öde. Rekommenderar inte att man åker dit för att äta, dock kanske för att handla något på mataffären. Kan verkligen rekommendera ett besök på Naturreservatet som ligger 5 minuter från hotellet. Inträde är gratis. Här vandrar man Mehr

La atencion del personal fue excelente y muy amables y bien dispuestos a solucionar cualquier problema y evacuar cualquier duda El tema ademas es que al ser temporada baja creo no […] existia la posibilidad de grupos de personas escuchando musica o compartiendo tragos Lo que recomendaria al hotel (que he observado en otros) es que exista una biblioteca de consulta con novelas varias, en varios idiomas para que cuando uno, o alguien que disfruta de la lectura, pueda leer dado que no se cuenta con negocios cercanos. lo he dejado indicado en la encuesta del hotel. One of the best places that I have stayed in all my life!!

buen hotel en medio de punta cana, romantico, buenas instalaciones y muy buenos restaurantes, tranquilo, si vas a estar aqui es recomendable tomar el todo incluido, fuera del hotel muy pocas cosas, pero el hotel tiene todo para estar agusto en plan relax

El Punta Cana Hotel y sus alrededores tienen la mayor majestuosidad de entorno natural que pocas locaciones en el Caribe tienen, su Hotel tiene un encanto pero su estado no es el mejor reflejo del corazón de trabajo de su staff de trabajo. Första intrycket väldigt bra, fin lobby med lugn musik o trevlig personal. Rummet var helt ok, lite slitet men rent o snyggt. Vi hade platt tv o härlig utsikt över havet o över 5m i takhöjd (på översta våningen). Hotellet var väldigt lugnt, vi hade varit på många all-inclusive hotell tidigare under resan där det alltid är en massa folk o ljud överallt. […] Det här var väldigt härligt, även om hotellet var nästan fullt försvann människorna bland alla husen o palmerna. Stranden var jättefin, fanns alltid solstolar o man behövde inte vara nära andra!! Hade egen lugn o ro! Och man såg en massa fåglar o fiskar. Tyckte verkligen om det! Natur-ekologiskaparken som var nära var också lugnt o härligt, fanns laguner där man kunde bada eller bara njuta av att titta på fiskar o sköldpaddor. Väldigt kul för barnfamiljer (med barn som kan simma). Det enda man kan klaga på är restaurangerna, är dyrt att äta o dricka där o maten på den enda restaurangen man inte behövde boka bord, var väl inte så speciell, smakade inte mycket. Men det fanns fri shuttel till shoppingcentret där man kunde äta. Ännu ett plus var att det var nära flygplatsen, tog bara tio minuter dit med taxi. Perfekt hotell att vara på innan man ska ta flyget hem. Så vi kan gärna åka tillbaka till hotellet för att bara ligga på stranden o njuta av lugnet! Mehr
