Das Maligne Lodge profitiert davon, dass in Jasper selbst relativ wenige Unterkünfte vorhanden sind. Es war das Hotel mit dem unverhältnismäßigsten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis während unserer 3-wöchigen Kanadareise. Das Personal erschien uns wenig engagiert und hatte offenbar wenig Entscheidungsspielraum beim Auftreten von Schwierigkeiten. Wir konnten […] auch nicht nachvollziehen, warum Jasper in sämtlichen Reiseführern so hoch gepriesen wird - vielleicht ist der Ort im Winter ein erheblich attraktiveres Ziel. Um den Icefield-Parkway zu sehen, muss man nicht unbedingt in Jasper wohnen! Mehr

Die Lodge liegt am Rand von Jasper, aber in 10 min ist man zu Fuß im Zentrum. Ausstattung des Zimmers okay, ein bisschen wenig Platz, um Kleider unterzubringen. Aber ein großes gutes Bett mit richtiger Kuschel-Decke. Gestört hat, dass jeder zum Fenster reinschauen konnte. Selbst tagsüber musste man ganz verdunkeln, wenn man ungestört sein wollte. Ein […] paar Vorhänge für tagsüber wären nicht schlecht gewesen. Das Schwimmbad habe ich nicht ausprobiert. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zimmer und Hotel sauber. Mehr

Die Lodge war die schlechteste Unterkunft auf unserer Kanada/ Alaska Reise. Die Lodge war eigentlich ein Motel, wo ganze Reisebusse abstiegen. Der Preis war extrem überzogen für diese Art der Unterkunft

D: Auf Grund der Bewertung konnte man ja nicht viel erwarten, aber dies war nun absolut Lausig! Wir waren im Room Nr. 100 untergebracht. Ich denke dieser Raum war ursprünglich eher als Abstellraum konzipiert worden. Hatte nur ein ganz kleines Fenster. Das Lavabo hatte Rost- und das Bad Wasserflecken. Das Schlimmste aber war, dass die Heizung im Hochsommer […] nicht abzustellen war. Obwohl in der ganzen Nacht die laute Klimaanlage lief, war es unerträglich heiss. Bei der Hotelmanagerin habe ich reklamiert. Ich denke aber nicht, dass unsere Beschwerden ernst genommen wurden. Zusammengefasst: das mit Abstand das teuerste und lausigste Hotel während unserer Reise. En: Because of the the following reasons we are very disappointed about the room and the service: • We booked the room in advance. But when we arrived after 4 p.m. the housekeepers where still cleaning our room. The air conditioning was only turn on when we arrived. It was 30 C in the room.  • The bathroom is disgusting: The sink is rusty and bathtub needs a least a good cleaning. • Because of the bars in the Entrance door, we could hears every words of people passing  by and from the computer station (no privacy) • The room has only one small window. • But the worst: the heating was on. We asked at the front desk two times to shut it off. But the only thing, what they could to was to bring us an extra fan. The Air conditioning was very nosy. But because of the heat we had to run it all night and it was still hot. We didn't  have a restful sleep at all. • We complain by the management, but so far we didn't get any reaction. Mehr

the room was clean, the personel was very friendly and it was somwhat close to downtown but a good walk for someone that's not a walker everday. the neighbourhood was very quiet and clean. Would go again.

The rooms were beautiful and in great condition. We've paid much more for rooms in other towns that were in terrible condition compared to this hotel.

Good value, very friendly staff, very good breakfasts at a decent price.

This lodge was so easy to find- we pulled in at 2 am, in darkness and saw the sign right from the road. It's so easy to locate. The staff were friendly- some of them so helpful, with directions, connecting us to resources when we had a flat tire and giving suggestions for fun things to do. However, there were other staff who said "I don't know, I just […] moved here. I don't know this town very well." Probably should make it your JOB to know a town as small as Jasper if you work at the front desk of a hotel. Jasper is so small, everything is within walking distance, but this hotel is the last within the city, putting it nicely away from the action, but close enough to walk to. The website did not mention that this hotel has a pool and a hot tub. The pool really is a pool, but the outdoor hot tub is merely a personal hot tub, only holding four people, the same kind my parents own. The restaurant was small and the breakfast not very appetizing; I would recommend going to one of the bakeries instead. The first day, one of our beds was made up, but the other, possibly due to the clothes left on the bed was left unmade. It bothered me that the clothes couldn't have been placed on a chair or something, but to simply not make the bed seemed unprofessional and left us with a dirty bed. Overall, the hotel was nice, especially considering the price we paid, and really, we didn't go to Jasper to stay in our room the whole time! I would stay there again. Mehr

Quiet location, combined with a 10pm noise down rule made for a restful couple of nights in Jasper. Just south by a few blocks from the town centre it is well priced and situated if you are not the nighthawk type.

Great room. Comfortable bed and very clean. The train right across the road was a little noisy the first couple of times it went by but you get used to it. I would stay there again.

This is an older refurbrished motel with doors, furniture, and bathroom still showing some of the wear from years of use. The bedding was comfortable. We chose this hotel from a "pet-freindly" google seach. Were very surprised at check-out with a $25 "standard" charge for our small non-shedding dog. We provide his basket/bed and the hotel provided nothing, […] not even a welcome poop-bag (like other hotels do). We expected a charge, but this was more than the cost for an extra human; TOO MUCH for NOTHING Mehr

My friend and I went to Jasper to celebrate my birthday weekend! We were so pleasantly surprised by the Maligne Lodge. We bussed into town so it was about a 10 minute walk from the greyhound which was not terrible! We were immediately greeted and checked in, our room was on the second floor with a partial view of the parking lot and mountains! The mountain […] part was gorgeous! So first things first the outside appearance of the Maligne lodge was cute. It is a 2 story building on the edge of Jasper which worked for us. There was tons of parking and an outside hot tub!!! We spent several hours here over the weekend!!! AMAZING! The room we were given was lovely. It had one king size bed which was a dream to sleep on!!! Seriously I didn't want to get out of bed in the mornings!! The entire room was clean, the bedding was clean, the bathroom was clean! No complaints! The staff was pleasant and very helpful. They gave us a later checkout no charge and no questions asked which was greatly appreciated. My only complaint was we checked out at noon and our bus wasn't leaving until 7 and the hotel does not have a place to store luggage which was very inconvienent. Overall amazing stay. Wonderful bed and hot tub. We will be back!! Mehr

The hotel is only a short drive out of town. although it looks really run down from the front the room was beautiful with very nice newly renovated bathroom and huge comfy bed, flat screen tv! staff at front desk not very friendly. Over all excellent value for money!!!

A nice walk away from the centre of Jasper, far enough to be away from any bar noises but close enough to be able to walk anywhere in town. The rooms were nicely furnished and the bed very comfortable. Very reasonable and will definitely go again.

Convenient location, close to town centre. good amenities. Very comfortable bed. Need to consider extra hotel charges when booking. Friendly staff.

Not worth the money, comfort like a cheap motel, only thing halfway good was the breakfast. Would not recommend.

In spite of reading some less than complimentary reviews we booked the hotel. While a bit dated the room was well equipped, clean and well presented. The staff were very helpful and accomodating. Overall we were very pleased and would stay there again.

Hotel is aging and could use some updating. Given the choices in the area it is ok. There are B & B's in the area that would be worth looking into if an extended stay is in the plan. The lodge is an average motel, convieniently located near the town's attractions.

Gave us an "upgrade" tp a room with 4 beds. Since there were only two of us this was ridiculous. They did not have the two queens we reserved. Would have apprwciated a chace to accept or "decline" the upgrade prior to our arrival. The room had too many beds to be comfortable Everything else was OK

This hotel is O.K. but expensive for what it is.

The Hotel had good beds, however it is very expensive for what you get, it had that run down feeling. It was relatively clean but for the price I could have stayed in a much nicer hotel in Hinton for half the price.

Well it was OK - nothing special - the wi-fi took some time to work. It was expensive for what is provided - and the additional charge for a breakfast was "OTT"

I was very impressed with the atmosphere and the ammenities at the hotel. It would be nice if the hot tub were larger but the pool is great!

The staff at the hotel were friendly and willing to make our stay the best it could be. Our room was a good size and always kept clean. The bed was made everyday and the towels were changed every day as well. We can't wait to come back.

Wife and I stayed at the Maligne Lodge for one night after a long day driving up the Icefields Parkway from Banff. Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Staff was friendly and location is right at the begining of Jasper town with just a 5-10 minute walk (or 1 minute drive) to all of the shops in downtown. Would stay here again.

this is the last motel on the road at the end the town of jasper & also the last place you want to stay. the place is reminiscent of a 60,s roadside m First & last time for this place.otel.. the beds are comfortable & the room was clean but so is my Grandmothers house. the ceiling fan is frozen in place (Really, you cant move the blades)& the hair dryer […] nearly caught fire in my hand. I can say that that our stay at the Maligne was great. The personall is great, polite and the front desk very helpful. Great location, very clean and the bed is extreamly comfortable. Walking distance to all restaurants. If you are expecting to stay in a 5 star hotel than this is not for you but if you want to feel like in a skiing resort and young […] atmosphere it is the best place to be. Me and my husband are in our 50 and travelled all over the world but nothing is like home, Canada, Jasper and the Rockies. Mehr

A nice, cheap compared to it's rivals, hotel with excellent pool and hot-tub.

First night check in, bedspread was wet with some stain on it but not all the way through, called the front desk, they moved us to a room where the fridge leaked and was still leaking all over the carpet, the room fan was making terrible noise and the fan was off, the light wouldn't stay on and would make a crackling noise before turning itself off, […] the room had very large clumps of dust in the vents and wasn't the same. After night of no sleep, they moved us again back to the other room (never did change the bedspread, but at at least it was dry). Big chips on the walls, hot tub not working. Cleaning staff had just quit. No discount, not even breakfast offered up for the inconvienance and in fact, they charged me MORE than what hotels dot com had said and when I was talking to the front desk about these conditions, they just walked away. This hotel also doesn't have enough parking and if you go out in the evening, you will most likely have to park on the street or by the messy and uncleaned dog poop trash bag. Mehr

I find it very annoying that the pool and hot tub are shut down at 10:00. (I realize that this is the case in most hotels.) It would be very much appreciated if these facilities were open until midnight or even 11:00 as it would give guests time to enjoy some of the attractions around the hotel such as a nice leisurely dinner and then end the evening […] with a relaxing dip in the hot tub. As it is, guest often have to make a choice between off property activities and a chance to enjoy the pool or hot tub. Mehr

Had to stand in line about 20 minutes in the extremely cramped lobby because there were only 2 people on, but those two were very good and helpful (in fact, very very patient with the ridiculously whiny and entitled tourists ahead of us; again, that's Jasper for ya). They weren't quite so helpful when we called for help with the wifi: ' ...yeah, we've […] been having trouble with it'. Mmmmhmmmm. Finally, we were pretty disappointed that for what we paid (for the same price, you could get a luxury room in Vancouver with a balcony and King-size bed) our tiny room didn't even have a fridge... but... all together now.... That's Jasper. Also.... Lol that they 'cannot' post reviews that contain dollar amounts. Or 'hearsay', whatever that means... Mehr

We had a room confirmed but when we arrived they oversold the rooms and put us in a room needing repair and other hotels were sold out.

We have stayed in the 2 Bedroom Suite and it was great! The room is big and has 2 bedrooms, living room, full kitchen and even a private sauna!! It was located just next to the indoor pool. Clean and stylish.
