I can honestly say the hotel was fantastic, no downside. Its an excellent location really quiet but still handy for quayside and town. Parking is available underneath the hotel (£9 per night for guests) as you go down slip road turn left in front of hotel before you get to quayside then its signposted. The Quay link buses go from bus stop 2 min walk […] away its £1.10 single which will take you up into town (avoid the hills) or you can walk over Tyne bridge. We had fantastic room overlooking river which was amazing we didn't eat in the hotel, plenty of places to eat around on quayside. The staff we encountered were lovely and couldn't recommend highly enough. Mehr

Excellent location for the City Centre, staff very welcoming and nothing too much trouble, excellent gym and pool with Sauna and steam room. Had breakfast each morning and was absolutely wonderful with such a choice, has afternoon tea was excellent and also sandwiches late one evening. Excellent all round. Would use this hotel again

Had a very pleasant stay. Friendly, helpful staff, in a good location, a short walk to Newcastle city centre. Room cleaners did not refresh the toilet rolls or tissues, but were very helpful when this was pointed out. Overall, nice one Hilton.

Extremely comfortable hotel with well proportioned room. Very clean. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Bar, snacks and restaurant seemed a little pricey perhaps. Plenty of choice for breakfast - something to suit everyone. Hotel well located for walking to local sites and city centre. Sage concert hall just across the road.

Was upgraded to a river view room as a Hilton Honours customer -very nice especially at night. Pool facilities good although need more changing cubicles. Breakfast very good standard with no waiting. Parking safe and plentiful although expensive at £9 per night.

Everything perfect and was a bargain.

It was a lovely suite opposite the river. All the staff we encountered were lovely, couldnt do enough to help. They are a commendation to the hotel and I hope Mr Hilton pays them all well! Breakfast was massive and included in the price too. Late checkout meant we didnt have tto leave til 1pm which was perfect as I had a raging hangover from the immense […] Rob Zombie gig just down the road at the o2 academy - easy to find and less than a mile from the hotel. The only bad thing was finding how to get to the hotel in the car, we could see it, but it was all one ways! The car park is under the hotel, at £9 per night which i found reasonable compared to most cities. Mehr

The Hilton Gateshead is conveniently situated right on the quayside overlooking the Tyne Bridge. It is close to all the amenities of the City, but a pleasant stroll from the hub of the centre. We loved it. Would definitely come again and would definitely pay extra for the view over the river and the Bridges. The standard of food was great. Slightly […] chaotic breakfast, but a vast array of food to satisfy all tastes and appetites. Dinner was excellent although the wines were definitely on the expensive side. The lounge area/reception area could do with a little bit more atmosphere and soft furnishings. It needs more facilities for lounging before and after going out. My husband used the spa facilities and rated the gym and pool highly. Would have prefered that parking at the hotel was free to guests - but this is a minor issue as the cost was £6 per 24 hours. Our bedroom was spacious, clean and comfortable - not so keen on the heavy duty bedspread. Would have preferred a cosy duvet. Loved the comfortable chair and footstool which offered the opportunity to sit with a glass of wine admiring the views through the full length wndows. Mehr

Perfectly placed just in Gateshead, met up with friends down at the quayside and had a fabulous night out, parking is a bit tight, but that's the only negative, only a small niggle, eventually got a space, but if you get there early and get a deal off the internat its fabulous value for money.

Brilliant location with a lobby overlooking River Tyne with all the bridges. Rooms, service, breakfast etc. were impeccable and the gym with the pool were the icing on the cake. Would definitely recommend.

Why o why were their condoms in the fridge?!

I attended by Daughter's Hen Weekend with several other ladies and we were most impressed with the quality and service of the Hilton Newcastle. The rooms were of good size, bathrooms a little on the small size and a separate shower cubicle would have been nice but apart from that we had a really enjoyable stay. One of my party was given a room overlooking […] the River Tyne (for the same rate I may add) and that was fab! Look of the draw I guess. Mehr

This is a wonderful hotel spoiled by the sealed bedroom windows which mean that you have to keep the airconditioning on all night. It is noisy and inefficient and I would much rather have a window that opens. I shan't stay here again for this sole reason

On arrival the reception staff were very profesional and polite. The quality of the room was excellent with a view of the quay and the tyne. The buffet breakfast was out of this world with a wide variety of foods. The only fault was that the pillows were very hard. I would definately recommend this hotel.

Grei beliggenhet i forhold til sentrum, Quaiside og Gateshead. Flott hotell med stor treningsavdeling inkl. basseng og velværeavdeling med massasje. Det anbefales å legge til noe kroner for oppgradering til exetutive-rom med tilgang til loungen. Her var god standard både på drikke og "fingermat", frukt m.m. Hotellrom store go med alt. Internett må kjøpes […] (dyrt) om man ikke har "business" rom. Utsikten fra hotellet over Tyne med alle sine broer er upåklaglig. Mehr

Cuando uno reserva un Hotel Hilton espera algo mas de lo que encontré en el de Newcastle/Gateshead. El personal de la Recepción es bastante poco amable. Además se equivocaron en la fecha de nuestra salida, no nos indicaron correctamente los horarios del desayuno y a las dos y media de la tarde no tenían nuestra habitación disponible. Ninguno de estos […] pequeños problemas (así como el hecho de que no tuvieran TVE internacional entre los canales de TV) nos estropeó un buen viaje por Northumberland y Escocia, pero de un Hilton, uno espera algo mejor. When I arrived there were only smokers rooms available which was a dissapointment. Very nice staff otherwise. OK breakfast

Bra standard, hyggelig betjening og meget bra frokost. Sengene var noe harde.

Komfortabelt hotell med sentral og rolig beliggenhet. Flott basseng og trim rom. God mat både til frokost og middag. Morsom aften med trylleshow på hotellet. Topp service fra alle og særlig hovmesteren i restauranten. Et sted vi absolutt vil anbefale

Klockrent hotell. Fantastisk utsikt. Trafiken inte ett dugg störande. Städning bra. Leisure klubben väldigt bra. Resturangen superbra!. Bra service. Trevlig personal. Läget riktigt bra, ca 8-10min promenad över tynebridge till centrum. Kommer tillbaka.

Et strøkent hotell med fin beliggenhet, utsikt og frokost. Gangavatand til kjøpesentre, sentrum og St. James Park. Rolig område ved elven.

Her ble man møtt vennlig og smilende fra staben både i resepsjonen, ved frokosten, fra rengjøringspersonalet osv. Det var til å bli i godt humør av. Et veldig hyggelig opphold på et fint hotell. Meget kort vei til konserthuset The Sage og heller ikke langt fra sentrum i Newcastle.

I was very pleased with our stay. Great service, clean and comfortable rooms. We had great view of the Tyne River and St. James Park. Monique in the reception gave us much needed information at any time. We will choos Hilton for our next trip back to Newcastle!

Flott hotell med god beliggenhet - desverre fikk vi ikke rom med utsikt over Tyne, men servicen var upåklagelig! Hyggelig og behjelpelig betjening - hotellet kan trygt anbefales!
