Der Service im Hotel war einfach super. Obwohl unser Zimmer kein Meeresblick hatte wurde nach Nachfrage ohne Zusatzkosten umgetauscht. Dann wurde unsere Zimmerkarte umgetauscht und wir haben auch einen Regenschirm bekommen. Sehr sehr nette Mitarbeiter muss ich sagen. Und die Lage war für uns sehr schön. Man kann den Strand wunderbar entlang spazieren. […] Bis zur Stadtmitte sind es insgesamt 7km aber mit Bus und Metro kommt man super hin. Mehr

Für uns lag das Hotel ideal. Wir haben unter anderem Cirque de Soleil besucht und das Zelt war in unmittelbarer Nähe des Hotels gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Wir hatten Meersicht und das Stadtzentrum war mit dem Taxi in 10 Minuten erreicht.

Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind grosszügig und sehr sauber. Auch wenn dieses Hotel nicht gerade im Zentrum Barcelonas ist, ist das Herzen von Barcelona in kürzester Zeit per U-Bahn erreichbar. Die Zimmer mit Meersicht sind etwas lärmbelastet durch die Ronda Litoral.

Overall it's a very nice hotel, easy to access, clean and cozy room, just a few steps away from the beach, and beautiful view outside the window if u book the room facing the beach... Staffs are friendly and efficient. However, as a 4 star hotel, the room is a bit small, no slippers, no kettle.

This hotel has a great sea view so make sure you request a sea view room. Choose this hotel as I am familar with the area. Not for first time visitors to Barcelona as it is out of the main area and good 15 minute walk to the nearest metro. Loved the location as I could walk into the city by the beach. Will choose this hotel for my next visit

we discovered this hotel last summer and use it for pre-post cruise stays. We particularly like this area, easy to get into centre from bus 41 outside or 10min walk to metro. Quiet promonade by the sea, good hotel bar/restaurant. Large rooms, exellent all marble bathrooms, we had corner room this time with sea and city view. We would stay again def […] inately. Mehr

This hotel is very close to Barcelona beach, only separated by a main road. Arriving by public transport, you have two options: - Take L4 Metro and get off at Poble Nou. From here it's a fairly straight 10-15 minute walk to the hotel. - Take the No 41 bus, which zig-zags towards the beach on a 20-25 minute trip from Urquinaona. Although this may seem […] difficult, the trips are ok! It appeared as if you could park underground if driving. The hotel was very smart and clean, with good sized rooms. Staff on reception were friendly and supplied a map of the local area. They also helped book a trip. Free WiFi was available in the room, which was helpful. Mehr

We had Deluxe room, which actually means only the sea view. Hotel room was quite small and hot , the air conditioning did not work at all, sweating in the night. Shower had either very hot or very cold water, the temperature was not possible to adjust properly, there was the danger to burn your skin. The hotel was easy to reach by car and as a bonus had free underground parking included in the price! We chose an ocean view room (slightly more expensive) and were happy we did so! The morning views (and night ones were gorgeous without anything in between us and the Mediterranean Sea. Staff spoke good English and were most helpful with maps, directions […] and guidance. Would definitely stay here again. Easy 10 minute walk to Olympic Pier (lots of restaurants) and within 5 minutes of the metro. Mehr

The Barcelo hotel was across the road from a lovely beach and close to a good shopping centre. The Barcelona Bus Tour stop 8 was across the road. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was delicious. My room was enormous and very comfortable. I would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room however. Overall, I was very impressed.

As a four star hotel it was too fray.If you want to spend your time at the beach the hotel is ideal. It is 20 minutes away from the metro, therefore, until you reach the city centre it will take an hour, although there is a bus (21) which goes from the hotel. The view from the window was wonderful - to the sea. Room service was a bit disappointing as […] one day we left the room at half ten and came back at half two and it was still not cleaned. I was not happy with my recent stay at this hotel Barcelo Atenea. The front desk staff were not friendly nor helpful; and actually seemed onery. This hotel was more expensive than the hotel we stayed at previously and yet was in need of some remodeling. I was disappointed that it did not have a pool or hot tub.

This hotel is one I would ever stay at again. The staff is rude not willing to help in anyway. Whether it was a problem with the room or wanting to find a place to vist. No ice available. The room's air conditioning has to have a card in the slot to keep it running. We left one card when we went out for the day and the cleaning people removed the card. […] When we got back to the hotel our room was over 89 degrees. Plus they took the card. For the price you pay for this room it was money down the drain. Never again would I stay at this hotel. Mehr

Very close to beaches. Limited dining close by, but the food was good in the restaurant we found. Very quiet neighborhood.

Perfect hotel for if you want to stay in Barcelona for a few days before going on your cruise. An english speaking helpful staff. Close to the Metro and it overlooks the beach.

A newer hotel, across the highway from the beach, was very pleasant and clean. A nice bonus was the proximity of the pickup and dropoff spots for the city's double-decker (open top) sightseeing buses. A great way to get to the Gothic quarter and other major areas of the city.

We had the best time in Barcelona, this hotel was very nice and the staff was very helpful. I chose this hotel because it was close to the beach and a great price and also because the photos were so good on the web site and it delivered everything and more. The front desk girl gave us an even better view room than I paid for, just ask and they will […] accommadate, we had a view of the ocean and the city lights, at night the full moon was shimmering on the ocean and many land marks were all lite up. The computor and internet in the lobby was free and they helped me when I needed help. The room was really quite large and new and the bathroom was huge and new with marble of granite floors and shinny crome. I was very pleased with everything, we walked on the beach boardwalk to a very nice ocean view Mc Donalds and walked the other way to the mall, and there are parks and art deco stuff everywhere, I felt very safe walking around with my girlfriend, we caught the tour bus right out front of the hotel and had dinner at one of the many sidewalk cafe restaurants just next door. We exchanged our us cash for euros at a bank right next door. It was just a pleasure and the price was so great, you have got to check it out. Mehr

I stay in the hotel for 6 nights for a conference. The conference center is about 10 mins walk, so it is a good hotel if the major purpose is for meeting in the conference center. The hotel is clean and everything is fine, except the location. It is quite far away from city center and metro station (~15 mins). However, there is a bus no. 41 goes to […] city center and it stops just 1 block next to the hotel. Mehr

We booked this hotel as it was close to the beach and not to far from city centre sights etc..this was perfect to combine a day on the beach with a few day's sight seeing in town. A number 41 bus stopped outside the hotel and was 15mins to top of rambla's area at placa catalunya..this also linked up with the airport bus at the same stop app 20 mins […] run..The hotel was very modern, in a quiet area and overlooking the beach, the staff (bar) where very friendly. the rooms were very comfortable and cleaned everyday.bathroom's very good.The rate's we got for the hotel from hotels.com were very competitive and good value compared to some of the hotels advertised in town closer to the rambla's area..All in all i would recomend this hotel to my friends and would stop here again. Very nice hotel with beach access, competent and helpful staff, and clean and comfortable rooms. Will look for these hotels at other places.

Room very clean and modern. Great location across from the beach. Only problem was the a/c in the room was not cooling properly.

Barcelo Atenea Mar was more than expected. The front desk personel were very helpful and spoke english very well. The work out room had most common equipment and the massage room was made available for us. We were able to access public transportation by way of the hop on hop off bus and city bus just across the street. A single trip to city center for […] 1.40 euro. The beach was being worked on while we were there, but will shortly be a beautiful area for the whole family just a short walk. Food was ok at the nearby restaurants. Mornings were the best. Never utilized the hotel restaurant. I would recommend Barcelo and I would return myself! Mehr

Although the hotel was clean and tidy, I did not feel it was up to 4* standard of hotels in Ireland.

They have a small jacuzzi, wet sauna and dry sauna which were very relaxing before dinner. Bus 41 is the best option. The subway is five blocks. We couldn't get the air-conditioning to work but in late November, opening the window worked well. Internet worked good, too.

Awesome hotel. Free laptops setup for internet in the lobby. Free wifi in the lobby. Very contemporary hotel and very clean throughout (including rooms). About a 7-10 minute walk from the metro line. About 60 second walk from the beach. Didn't have a beach view but the back of the hotel has a nice courtyard area that provided a nice view. AC was great […] in the room but nonexistent in the hallways and stairwells. Very friendly staff with very good english. Free bag check behind the front desk. Nice restaurants about a block away. CNNi in english on tvs. Minifridge in room. Gorgeous bathroom. Full king bed! Would definitely stay here again. Mehr

en cuanto a la comodidad la puntuación es baja porque hacia mucho calor y falto el aire acondicionado que no se si es que estaba dañado y que por ser mi estancia solo de cuatro días no pedí cambio de habitación, esta es la única observación negativa , por lo demás todo muy bien

Trevligt hotel i ganska lugnt område vid stranden. Lite trafikbuller från ringleden som går utanför. Lite lågt utbud av matställen i närheten och en bit att gå till shoppingcentrum Diagonal Mar. Lugnt o trivsamt ställe om man inte har något emot att få gå en bit för att nå restauranger och nöjesliv.

Bra hotell nära till Metro (T-station) 10 -15 min gångavstånd. Trevlig personal, och alltid hjälpsam. Minibar i rummet var helt ok, inte alls dyr. Nära till Porto Olimpic, där finns massor av restauranger och bra nattliv. Lugn och fin område, lite långt från flygplattsen, men ganska nära la rambla och barcelona centrala delar. Kan rekomendera hotellet. […] Jätte frecha och fina rum, inte särskild stora, för två pers är det perfekt, har även förvaringsbox. Vi åt aldrig på hotellet, men maten såg bra ut och inte särskild dyrt. Mehr

Beliggenheten ved stranden er et stort pluss ved dette hotellet. Området forøvrig er trist og kjedelig (her skjer det lite!), men trøsten er dette er et rolig område og at bussen til sentrum går like ved og den går ofte hele dagen. Det tar 20 min til sentrum. (nb: siste buss fra sentrum til hotellet går kl 23.15). Buss er svært billig og taxi koster […] maks hundre kroner. Servicen fra hotellpersonalet varierer veldig, alt etter hvem av dem du snakker med . Noen er veldig hjelpsomme og vennlige, mens andre er i beste fall likegyldig til deg som gjest og kan i verste fall oppleves som litt nedlatende. Det beste med hotellet er at rommene både er pene og rene. Klimanlegget fungerer perfekt. Det kunne med fordel vært en radiofunksjon på TV. Frokostbuffeten er helt grei, men kan sikkert bli kjedelig/ensformig i lengden, dersom man har et lengre opphold på hotellet. Alt i alt kommer hotellet godt ut av det, prisen tatt i betraktning (jeg benyttet et "special offer-tilbud de hadde). Mehr

Prydligt hotell som låg nära stranden. Området runtomkring är dött. Lite långt in till stan, men taxi från stan till hotellet kostar inte mer än ca 7-8 E. Rekommenderas om man vill vara nära stranden, bo i ett lugnt område men inte har så många andra krav. Ger det godkänt men skulle boka hotell närmre stan nästa gång.

This hotel is nice and practical when one want to be on the beach. From airport best to take airport bus to city centre( pl. catalonya) and Bus 41 direct to hotel. If going by metro it takes a lot more time. Recommending this place.

Vi lå på dette hotellet fra 3.-7. august. Det ligger litt utenfor bykjernen, men kun 2 minutter å gå til stranda. Dessuten ligger det en bussholdeplass rett ved siden av, her stopper også sightseeing-bussen. Vi var greit fornøyd; relativt stort rom og bad. Litt støy fra vei ved siden av. Men et greit hotell, da særlig med tanke på beliggenheten til […] stranden, selv om vi bare var her nede en dag... Mehr

Hotellet ligger sentralt til, med kort vei til butikk, strand og kjøpesenter. Vi hadde bestilt rom med sjøutsikt, men da vi sjekket inn gav de oss rom i 1. etasje. Da vi oppdaget feilen gikk det greit å få endret rom ihht. bestillingen. Store rom, flotte bad, og god standard. Vi bodde på her 4 netter i juni og var godt fornøyd. Vi valgte bevisst et hotell på stranden, da vi tenkte at det kunne være praktisk å kunne ha kort vei til et bad om kvelden etter en lang dag i byen. Vi endte bare opp å gjøre dette en dag, da Barcelona har så mye å by på at tiden ikke strakk til. Ellers så går buss 41 like utenfor hotellet, og tar […] deg rett til Plaza Catalunya på rundt et kvarter. Vi var veldig fornøyd med det. Litt lenger å gå til metroen (vi brukte Poblenou). Til hotellet tok vi flytoget fra flyplassen, og metroen videre fra Grazie(?) til Poblenou. Tilbake tok vi flybuss og buss 41. Vil absolutt anbefale den siste varianten om du har mye å bære på, da det er et stykke å gå i undergrunn og til hotellet fra Poblenou. Flybussen koster 5,30 euro og går hvert 10. eller 5. minutt fra Plaza Catalunya. Hotellet var pent og relativt nytt. Vi booket rom med havutsikt, og var godt fornøyd med det. (Fikk rom i 8.etg.) Rommet var stort, og med stor og god seng, rent og pent bad og minibar. Det var noe støy fra vegen utenfor, men ikke noe som sjenerte oss. Det er en flott strandpromenade utenfor hotellet, og stranden Mar Bella og Nova Mar bella ligger nedenfor denne. Strandpromenaden går helt inn til den olympiske havnen med mange restauranter og utesteder. Det er noen restauranter i nærheten av hotellet, men vi vil anbefale å ta turen til enten gamlebyen eller den olympiske havnen for å spise om kvelden. Alt i alt hadde vi et bra opphold på hotellet, og var fornøyd med valget vårt. Vi fikk også en bra pris på hotellet, til at det er 4 stjerner og pene rom. Aircondition fungerte forøvrig fint, men vi brukte den lite. Om du bare skal ha noen få dager på sightseeing i Barcelona, vil jeg kanskje anbefale et hotell som ligger nærmere et metrostopp og mer sentralt, men om du syns det er greit å komme litt vekk fra maset i storbyen om kvelden (slik vi gjorde) og gjerne har lyst på en liten tur på stranden også, så vil jeg anbefale hotellet. :-) Mehr

Aunque está alejado del centro tiene muy buenas comunicaciones mediante autobús y está en una zona muy bonita con la posibilidad de ver el mar y dar un paseo a pie. También tiene un centro comercial en las proximidades.
