We have stayed at this property several times. In short, we highly recommend it. The property is a great value compared to a lot of others in the area and it is of much higher quality than many price equivalents. While the rooms are not huge, they are comfortable, clean, and well appointed. Some rooms even have two full size beds. Plus, they have […] complimentary internet access in the rooms...something that you don't even find at places that are 5 times the price. Most importantly, the staff does everything possible to try to facilitate your needs and maximize the value of your stay. More than once, we have walked over from London Paddington right after a transatlantic flight puts us in the area at 9-10am and they have been able to put us into a room...immediately! This is a great treat after a long flight in which you functionally lose a night, giving you a chance to freshen up and/or rest before moving on with the rest of your day. There are other Shaftesbury Premier properties in the area (one even just across the street...that caused us a great deal of confusion the first time in the area). Each that we have patronized has been more than acceptable. However, we think that this property is the Premier of the Premiers. We would stay there every time we are in the area if not for the fact that it is often times fully booked...but that is not surprising. We look forward to our next stay Mehr

This hotel is perfect for what it is. Inexpensive and very close to Paddington Station and the underground. Clean, simple, with friendly staff. No wifi but a couple of hotel computers that are slow but are more than sufficient to check email.

The Shaftsbury Premier London Paddington is well located to Paddington Station but does suffer from a number of turn offs that every potential guest should be aware off. The double rooms are so small. Even the double beds are small. With two cases and two people sharing a double, there is no room left to sit or even stand. The breakfast at 30 UK pounds […] per couple is overpriced when you can walk around the corner to anyone of a dozen cafes and obtain a better selection of 25% of the price. Although this hotel was clean and safe, our room was so small there literally was no room for two people to move around. As you walk in the door, you go down two steps to the bathroom on the left, and then 5 more steps to the room itself. There was probably 2 - 3 square meters of floor space in which to stand, move, and put our luggage. The desk was […] tiny and half of it covered with tea service. We had to turn sideways to squeeze between the wall and bed on both sides. It would have been OK for one person, not for two. We would not stay there again. Mehr

Great location. Only 3 mins walk to Underground station. There are also restaurants and convenient stores nearby. The standard room given to us is extremely small! There's no room for 2 people to walk at the same time, not even spaces for 2 suitcase. The room is also pretty old but the bathroom is well maintained and clean.

My girlfriend and I spent a lovely couple of night at this hotel. The breakfast was excellent and kept me fuelled up for a busy few days exploring London. The staff where very helpful and polite, we arrived early and where still able to check in without having to wait until 1400. The only negative thing I can say about our stay was that the bed sheets […] smelt like they had been left damp in the washing machine for too long but this was a minor blip. My advise to anyone who plans to stay at the hotel is don't drive there! It cost me £20 per night to park and it is about 200 yards inside the congestion charge zone! There are also only about 5 parking spaces outside the hotel (I was very lucky and got there in time to nab one). Stayed here once earlier in the year; apparently I lucked into a "club" room and didn't know it. This time you couldn't even get out of the bed on the side, the room was so small. The electronic key lock kept dying, and it took two days for them to finally give us another room. They kept sending people up to "fix" the lock. This one is off the li […] st. Mehr

The rooms are European small - but well maintained and the bathrooms are new. Very small shower, so if you are large, you may want to look elsewhere. Close to Paddington and a short tube ride from most spots in central London and 15 minutes to Heathrow.

The Hotel was clean and tidy and the staff professional and helpfull.The room was in the basement but again clean and tidy. The Hotel is close to the underground and has restaurants, shops and pubs all in walking distance. A good base for a trip to London.

I'd say the hotel was about average for a European hotel, some of the staff was very nice, although some of the staff was rude. During our stay, housekeeping failed to show up one day, so we had to get clean towels ourselves, and had a full garbage until the next day. While the hotel location was great for getting around London on the tube, or getting […] to/from Heathrow Airport, I would not stay there again unless it was a lot cheaper than possible alternatives. Great room, wasn't anything special but would say there again without a problem. I was there for about 10 days and didnt have a single problem. Very close walk to Paddington station which made travel to and from LHR very simple. A very nice place to stay perfect for everyone in need of a simple hotel.

I booked this hotel because it was close to a tube station and the pictures gave the impression the rooms were very nice. When we booked in we were given a room in the basement which was the smallest hotel room I have ever seen, it was a disgrace. Two people could not stand at the same time as the room was so small. The bathroom was also so tiny you […] could barely fit into it. We asked to change and they changed us into another room which was at most a foot bigger than the first room. You could not get out at either side of the bed as the wall was so close you had to get out at the end of the bed. We had no chair in the room as there was no room to fit one. This hotel was a disgrace, if I had not paid for it before getting there I would have left and stayed somewhere else. I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone the rooms are so small. the bed was not much bigger than a single which for 2 people is a disgrace Mehr

It was easy to get around London and to Heathrow from the hotel because it is very close to Paddington railway station. Room was very good but the bathtub made it tricky to get out if you are short.

I had a twin room which - and I'm stating the facts, not complaining - was the smallest hotel room I've ever seen, and I have been around Europe quite a bit (but never to Japan!). The room had a twin bed, and the entire room was probably about the dimenstions of a queen bed (excluding the bathroom). That said, it was beautiful, comfortable, and the […] bathroom was really nice. The whole place was comfortable and felt very safe, and I would happily stay there again. It was everything I needed as a solo traveler. Just don't expect to "squeeze" any extra family members or children into a twin room! Mehr

Hade beställt ett rum för fyra men fick 2 dubbelrum istället. 1 var kanon och det andra var lite litet. Och dålig fart på vattnet i duscharna. Det är väl det enda negativa annars positivt.

Litt liten og shabby resepsjon, men hyggelig service. Enkeltrommet var det minste jeg noen gang har sett, men lekkert lite bad og det så ellers ganske fint og nyoppusset ut. Gamle vinduer, så man hørte traffikken godt på utsiden og det var ganske kaldt på rommet på grunn av trekken. Men det var en liten oljeovn på rommet, så da gikk det bra. Fant ikke […] noe hårføner og fikk heller ikke internett til å fungere (det kan være min manglende kompetanse). Ville ikke betalt full rack pris på rommet, men greit til en last minute price Mehr

Vi var nöjda med det mesta men vissa av rummen är orimligt små med en säng som inte är gjord för två vuxna personer. Tack och lov lyckades vi byta till ett större rum.

Ég hef oft dvalið á þessu hóteli þegar ég næ góðum tilboðum á það. Annars finnst mér það fulldýrt. Yfirleitt fylgir ekki morgunverður og er hann boðinn á 10 - 15 pund aukalega, sem er allt of mikið. Það er nóg af ódýrum stöðum umhverfis til að borða morgunmat. Gott líka að hafa samloku með á herbergið og hita sér kaffi þar. Flest eru herbergin mjög […] lítil en hrein og þægileg. Tvisvar hef ég fengið upgrade og þar með fengið stór herbergi. Mehr

Hotellets beliggenhed er fin mht. subway, busser, indkøb, restauranter mv. Selvom hotellet ikke ligger i centrum, så er det centralt for alle de andre seværdigheder, man gerne vil opleve og subwayforbindelserne til disse steder er meget fine. Dobbeltværelset var ekstremt småt og max. beregnet til een person. Kunne ikke have to kufferter udslået på een […] gang, og kunne ikke gå rundt om hele sengen. Dejligt badeværelse. Nye håndklæder hver dag og fin rengøring, men hvordan kan man gøre rent under sengen på den trange plads? Irriterende med trapperne i værelset, men vi var klar over det pga. tidligere hotelvurderinger. Ingen værelser uden gulvtæpper. Meget venligt hotelpersonale, pænt og rent over alt i reception og andre fællesområder. Kunne godt finde på at bo her igen men ikke i værelser med trapper. Mehr

Veldig fint hotell, vi ble overrasket over standaren i forhold til vanlig engelsk standard. Rommene virker nyoppusset, flott bad med både dusj og badekar. Rent var det også. Det som var å mislike var at det var veldig lytt, både fra bad på eget rom, og dører, stemmer osv fra andres rom. Det var ikke kjøleskap/minibar på rommet. Det kan også nevnes […] at frokosten var innmari dyr, 15 pund. Hotellpersonalet var hyggelige og hjelpsomme hvis de ville, med det var problematisk å få f.eks et rent glass hvis man ba om det. De var behjelpelige med sjåfør til flyplass. Alt i alt et veldig fint opphold :) PS: Bra beliggenhet, 2 min til nærmeste undergrunn. Mehr

Flott å bo nært Paddington station som har express adkomst fra Heathrow og tilgang til Underground. Fikk byttet rom uten problemer etter at vi var misfornøyd med vårt første. Herlige dager på et lyst og luftig rom i 4. etg. Frokosten var bra, selv om vi foretrakk Raffles ved siden av for å se på folkelivet over en kopp kaffe.

Vi valgte et hotell med sentral beliggenhet, med gangavstand til shopping og turer i Hyde Park. Rommet var stort, hyggelig og rent - med te/kaffe, friske blomster og avis. Det vendte inn mot bakgård, hvor det var stille om natten. Vi spiste ikke frokost på hotellet, men det var muligheter for dette mot et tillegg. Vi hadde bestilt to dobbeltrom,når vi kom oss til hotellet fikk vi se hvor trange disse rommene var. Vi spurte om å få bytte rom,og det gikk heldigvis greit. Rommene var veldig fine utenom at noen av de var veldig trange,pluss at det ikke fantes mini kjøleskap i rommene det savnet vi veldig.

Bra: fräscha rum (fick dock först ett som var nedrökt och i källare, fick dock byta detta utan problem). Man vill ha "separate beds" som är dubbelsäng med två sängar bredvid. Mer plats. Vi hade två rum, ett rum var väldigt litet, ett var en liten svit, med badkar och soffgrupp. Samma pris för båda. Lobbyn var opersonlig och lite tråkig. Ganska dyr […] frukost, åt på stan istället. Ett problem med överbeläggning löstes snabbt av den vänliga personalen, jag fick två andra alternativ att välja mellan samt gratis frukost som kompensation. Valde enkelrum i källaren som var i förvånansvärt bra skick, rent och med hyggliga utrymmen. Frukostbuffen kunde inte ha varit bättre, bra utbud och mycket fräscht. Enorme kleine kamers. Na klagen over diverse zaken (o.a. douche die het niet goed doet) upgrade gekregen naar grotere kamers. Op zicht allemaal ok, maar meer gedetailleerd kijken levert allemaal gebreken op. Enige pluspunt is de ligging
