Gutes Hotel, in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Wallstreet , am südlichsten Ende des Broadway. Sehr nette Bedienung. Enges aber sauberes Zimmer mit zwei Kingsize-Betten.

Großes Zimmer, gute Betten. Bei Zimmern nach hinten raus kann man bei offenem Fenster schlafen. Internet fürs Zimmer zu teuer. Im Bad leichter Renovierungsstau. Frühstück im Hotelrestaurant empfehlenswert, sehr nette Bedienung. Infostand für Sightseeing im Hotel sehr gut. Karten tlw. kostenfrei. Mexik. Pub +Chinarestaurant ca. 200 m entfernt. U-Bahn ca. 400m weg.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel. Das Zimmer war sauber, zweckmäßig und der Service freundlich und aufmerksam. In direkter Nähe befinden sich viele Sehenswürdigkeiten (Stock Exchange, 9/11 Memorial, Trinity Church) und man erreicht 3 verschiedene Subway-Stationen innerhalb weniger Gehminuten. Außerdem die Fähre nach LongIsland bzw. den Anleger für die Boote zur Freiheitsstatue und Elis Island. Da an der Wallstreet Abends/ Nachts nicht ganz so viel los ist, kann man - für NYC-Verhältnisse - relativ ruhig schlafen, v.a. im Vergleich mit der Gegend rund um den TimesSquare usw. Ein kleines, aber feines, familiengeführtes (so schien es) Hotel, dass wir auf alle Fälle weiterempfehlen würden!

Hotel liegt phänomenal gut, die Gesamtanlage und der Service sind sehr gut. Allerdings hatte man uns zuerst ein viel zu kleines und stark verschmutztes Zimmer im 3. Geschoss mit dem Auslass der Großklimaanlage direkt vor dem Fenster angeboten (Lärm!), das war auch so nicht gebucht. Reklamation war aber sofort möglich und iwr bekamen ein anderes Zimmer, das dann sehr schön war.
Lage
The Milburn Hotel liegt in New York, Upper West Side, in der Nähe der folgenden Sehenswürdigkeiten: Beacon Theater, Central Park und Rockefeller Center. Zu den weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe gehören: Broadway und Times Square.

Es gibt allerdings auch Stimmen, die bemängeln, dass die Upper West Side zu einer Art Upper East Side verkommen wäre. Ein zutreffendes Beispiel hierfür wäre das Time Warner Center am Columbus Circle, eine der teuersten Liegenschaften von New York. An der Upper West Side befinden sich das Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, das American Museum of Natural History sowie die Columbia University. Harlem, das legendäre afroamerikanische Viertel, liegt im Norden und umgibt die Spitze von Manhattan fast vollständig.

Hotel ist ganz ok, schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber sauber, der Frühstücksraum ist zu klein man muss meist auf einen Platz warten, das Personal an der Rezeption ist nicht besonders freundlich

"Nice hotel at a fair price with great location"
Good location - only 5 min to the Subwaystation and in walking distance to time square. Also there is a nice restaurant on the next corner and only some minutes to a big supermarket. Very small but clean & tidy rooms –ours with a kitchenette. We stayed 3 nights without a car what is recommendable. Free internet at a separate room in the lobby and functioning […] wireless internet connection in our room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok with bagles, english muffins (unfortunately not every day) cake, marmelade, fresh fruits, milk, coffee, hot chocolate. The Breakfast room was too small. Geräumige Zimmer und große Betten (Kingsize), Zimmer mit Kaffeemaschine, Kühlschrank und Mikrowelle, Safe. Etwas hellhörig und alles nicht mehr ganz neu, aber völlig ausreichend. Frühstück etwas schmal, aber auch nicht wirklich schlecht. Insgesamt absolut ausreichend, bei angenehmer Preisstruktur.

"Great Hotel"
This hotel was in a very convenient location and very comfortable to stay in. The on-line registration worked fine. The think that made this hotel a real winner, however, was that the breakfast was super. The (NY) bagels were fantastic but on top of that, there were waffles, pastries, fruit, cereal, ... This was an unexpected but welcome surprise. The […] kitchenette in the room was nice too. The hotel could use a bit of maintenance, but it looked like that was being addressed. rooms were nice, the pull-out bed was pretty terrible with a thin mattress, although I dont think the kids suffered too much. Location was awesome, just 4 or 5 blocks to get to the Museum of Natural History and Central Park. Lots of restaurants close by

"Milburn stay"
The room I was given was small, dark and reeked of cigarettes. After suffering for a hour, I called down the the desk and was promptly upgraded to a two room suite that was bright, clean and roomy. Thanks!

The Milburn Hotel worked well for the purpose of our trip. I was traveling by myself with two children. The convenience to the AMNH was ok. However, it was further than I would have liked. There was plenty of restaurants and shopping in the area which was great. It was also close to the subway which worked to our advantage. My only complaint was the […] hotel staff at the front desk. The reviews I read prior to booking my stay were mixed regarding the hotel staff. Unfortunately, I have to agree with those that had a negative experience. They were not helpful, very cold, did not smile, and in my opinion rude. After asking questions at the front desk and made to feel that I was bothering them, I chose to ask questions to fellow New Yorkers on the street, shops, and retaurants. They were more than happy to answer my questions, and even provided additional helpful tips. Our stay was not horrible, it was just the most unfriendly hotel we have ever stayed at in all of our travels. Mehr
Milburn hotel is in a awesome spot. Close to the subway with express trains to 42nd or 34th sts. 5 minutes walk to Central Park.

This is my third visit to the Hotel Milburn and I wasn't disappointed. My single room was small but comfortable and very clean. The queen bed was divine. This is a place I have stayed at in the past. No more. Its hard to get past the cockroach infested room. The other problem was a toilet that overflowed when flushed! "Nice place but expensive"
The hotel was located in middle town Manhattan, a block walk away from subway station. But no parking space if you drove there. You will be directed to a parking lot nearby but the people there will try to over-charge you. The hotel staffs were helpful but with air of superior. "I used to live in this nabe - great location!"
I lived on Manhattan's Upper West Side for years, so I never stayed here until I moved away. This is a wonderful and safe neighborhood, and I had a room with a small kitchenette, so I saved $ on food. When I checked in (very late) I asked the front desk clerk how long he had worked there and he told me "thirty-two years." That says a lot. I'm a musician […] and the best musicians are the ones that keep their players for many years because they are happy, well paid, and love their work. When I visit NYC sleep is essential -- this is a quiet street, and the rooms that look out over the courtyard (not the street) have zero street noise. I have stayed on the side overlooking the street, and though not as quiet as the courtyard rooms, what little street noise there was didn't keep me awake. There's a bus stop 1/2 a block away and subway stop 3 blocks away, a 24-hour grocery store 1/2 a block away, too, plus a pizza joint that is very popular with the locals. I take these reviews very seriously because I live on the road -- you cannot go wrong staying here. Mehr

Great location in a quiet neighborhood. Rooms (we had a suite) are enormous, fridge is a plus and free wifi is a bonus as well. Been there twice and will definitely return.

After reading over a hundred reviews of hotels in the area, many favorable, quite a few very unfavorable, we made a decision to try the Milburn. Our criteria included a refrigerator, a private bathroom, and at least a queen size bed, near the park below 100th st. We were completely satisfied in all respects. We had a problem with the heat not responding. […] We reported it to the desk. It was fixed that day. We have read of people having a good stay one time and a subsequent lousy time. We will definitely return and we hope that won't happen with us. If it does I am an avid letter writer and know how to push the correct buttons, corporate, legal and publicity wise to make our displeasure known. Mehr

Nice staff, stored our bags when we arrived early, very responsive to our plumbing issue: there was no cold water in the bathroom sink or tub but he the maintenance man instructed us to let the water run for a few minutes and it would get cold. "Very nice place to stay if you visiting NYC"
PRO : Hotel location was very good also most of the staff was friendly except for the security guard for the breakfast he needs little work. CON : Swimming, Gym never seen herd you have to ask for a pass so I guess it's off site. Bed very old but soft. Microwave was very old also but some what worked (popcorn too like 3.5 mins for a small bag)

I've stayed here at least 4-5 times, and I chose it because it gives me the feeling of being in a neighborhood. plenty of stores, restaurants nearby. My sister and I stayed here for 2 nites and had a great stay! I like the kitchenette in the room, and there's a breakfast provided in the a.m. Customer service was a little lacking: they ran out of hot […] water for tea in the aftn, and when I asked abt it, they didn't want to refill it. what's the big deal? they have 3 computers for internet access but limit you to half hr. don't know what happens if you want more time. I feel it should be free to guests. but overall I like this hotel and would recommend it. Mehr

We enjoyed our stay though the bathroom was SO small that there was no convenient place for our kit bags... the little kitchenette was useful and everything very, very clean. Breakfast was standard, blah hotel fare but the waiter was very pleasant. The front desk staff could be friendlier but they were very efficient and allowed late check out which […] was helpful. "Milburn Hotel - a jewel on the West Side"
Just got back from our second three night stay in a month. The Milburn is a nice hotel with good service. It's not as young as some of the other hotels, but it is holding up well. The service is great and the front desk is alot of help.The location is it's biggest drawing point. "great location AND breakfast--hard to beat"
The Milburn is a nice hotel. It is in the heart of the Upper West Side. Riverside and Central Parks are an easy walk away, as is the Museum of Natural History. Broadway theaters are about 30 blocks away, so you might need a cab in the winter. Continental breakfast is good, with H&H bagels delivered in the morning.

A good choice for experienced travelers to NYC. Not fancy but very comfortable, clean and convenient to the allures of the upper West Side. Zabars a stone's toss as well as subway and bus.

Very comfortable and conveniently situated . An advantage was a microwave and small fridge as well as a dining area ( but very little utensils.) My husband got bedbugs but I did not. Apparently bed bugs are a well known problem in New York. Another problem is that we had difficulty getting internet connectivity in our suite but were able to access […] the internet downstairs in the lounge area. Free internet access and breakfasts included. Staff very friendly and helpful. We were a group of 5 so had one single room and another suite for our daughter to sleep in the lounge of our 2 roomed suite and it really worked for us. We would return to the Milburn. Mehr

We were seeing a show at the Beacon Theatre. This was incredibly convenient -- less than a five minute walk away! Great neighborhood -- lots of vegetarian-friendly restaurants nearby. Room was comfortable -- a little warm, but the window AC turned to fan helped that. Pleasant staff. Continental breakfast was perfect for a fast meal before heading to […] the train station. The Milburn Hotel was very nice. An older hotel yet updated. I was expecting a very small room in NYC but was very happy with the size. Great location in a wonderful neighborhood. Staff was very nice. I would definitely stay there again!

We had a really nice time there. It is not a "fancy" hotel, but was clean and comfy. The little kitchenette really helped my family to be able to eat our own food as we have lots of food allergies. I was coming to meet my sister's family and the hotel made sure we had adjacent rooms.
