Das Hotel liegt in der Geary St. ein paar Blocks vom Union Square. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im zweiten Stockwerk im Mittelgang, was den großen Vorteil hat, dass man den Straßenlärm nicht mitbekommt, sondern nur den gelegentlichen Lärm den andere Gäste verursachen. Die Zimmer haben nur ein kleines Fenster mit einem wenig schönen Ausblick auf den Innenhof. Das Continental Breakfast besteht aus Kaffee, Toast m. Butter u. Marmelade, O- bzw. Apfelsaft u. einem Stück Obst. Problematisch ist die Parkplatzsituation, da gleich vor der Haustür eine Bushaltestelle ist und ansonsten i.d.R. nur Parkplätze für Kurzparker vorhanden sind. Das Hotel bietet für 30 $ p. Tag einen Valetparkservice an, d.h. es kommt jemand u. parkt das Auto irgendwo, was sehr gut funktioniert hat. Das Hotel liegt zwar in der Nähe des Unionsquare aber auch sehr dicht am Tenderloin Bezirk, den man vor allem Nachts meiden sollte. Insgesamt kann ich das Hotel vom Preis - Leistungsverhältnis weiter empfehlen!

Sehr zu empfehlen bei einen Zwischenstop nach Hawaii.Sauber, geräumig, Airport-Shuttle, freundliches Personal, guter Preis.
Lage
Dank seiner Lage, weniger 1,6 Kilometer von Marina District, Fisherman's Wharf und der Golden Gate-Brücke, sind es von diesem Hotel in San Francisco nur drei Blocks bis zu einer Linie des Cable Car. Das Moscone Convention Center ist knapp 2,5 Kilometer entfernt.
Charakteristika des Hotels
Das Inn on Broadway verfügt über ein hoteleigenes Restaurant in dem zum Frühstück und Mittagessen typische Café-Gerichte serviert werden. Die Rezeption des Hotels ist rund um die Uhr besetzt und bietet den Gästen einen Concierge-Service sowie Hilfe bei der Tourenplanung durch die Umgebung an. Parkplätze stehen kostenlos zur Verfügung und Wertsachen können in einem Safe an der Rezeption sicher aufbewahrt werden. Kostenfreie W-LAN steht im ganzen Hotel zur Verfügung.

In der Nähe befindet sich auch die City Hall. Ihre goldene Kuppe glänzt inmitten des grauen Betons des Civic Center. Das San Francisco War Memorial & Performing Arts Center ist eines der größten Zentren für darstellende Kunst in den USA. Japantown hat eine fünfstufige Pagode als Wahrzeichen. Castro District, das größte Homosexuellenviertel der Stadt, ist nur eine kurze Fahrt entfernt. Auch das Stadtviertel Haight-Ashbury - einst Bastion der Gegenkultur -, das auch als Tor zum Golden Gate Park gilt, ist nicht weit entfernt.

Im Grunde ist das ein schlechtes Hotel mit zwei für SF großen Pluspunkten. Es ist sehr zentrall gelegen und es hat kostenlose Parkplätze. Vor allem das letztere war für uns ausschlaggebend für die Wahl dieses Hotels. Hinzu kommt, dass es direkt im Gebäude ein nette Kafe gibt, wo man gemütlich und nicht zu teuer frühstücken kann. Das Personal war freundlich. Darüber […] hinaus ist es ein unterdurchschnittliches Hotel. Unser zimmer war nicht an der Straße und daher leise, dafür miefte es sehr nach Putzmitteln. In meiner Bettdecke war ein Brandloch (trotz Rauchverbot...). Im Flachbildschirmfernseher war ein großer Kratzer usw. Alles war ein wenig schmuddelig oder abgenutzt, aber zumindest sauber. Auf unser unten parkendes Auto wurde von draußen auf den Gängen rauchenden Gästen geascht. Alles in Allem war es für die 3 Übernachtungen in Ordnung, mehr aber nicht. Wer Wert auf eine günstigere Unterkunft mit Parkplatz wert legt, dem würde ich dieses Hotel empfehlen. Mehr

We went to San Francisco to go to a giants game... There was free parking which was a bonus so we left our truck at the hotel and took the bus to the game.. which saved us 30 dollars... the bed was comfy and the room was nice and neat

We live in the neighborhood and had a plumbing mishap necessitating our stay. Was able to book a room last minute and checked in shortly after. Our room was spacious and clean, we enjoyed watching the flat-screen TV from our King sized bed. I was pleasantly surprised to see a gleaming bathroom. For out of towners, you couldn't ask for a better part […] of town. The neighborhood to the East includes the lively Polk corridor and just across the tunnel away from Chinatown and North Beach. My daughter woke up to bed bug bites. Someone was smoking outside and we could taste the smoke coming through our door. Not comfortable or secure. Stay somewhere else

Great location in downtown San Francisco
"1960's vintage with upgraded finishes"
This 1960's era facility evidently had some upgraded finishes within the last 10years. Staff works hard to keep clean. Bed was adequate, but not great. Some noise from the neighborhood late at night, but then again it was St. Patrick's weekend. Parking is free, but "tight" for larger cars.

Excellent option for cheap accom. with free parking.
Got the room and have stayed here before. Front desk gentleman was helpful as always and room was clean, spacious and bed was comfprtable. I didn't hear any noise that other guest have mentioned and parking was available with no problems even though I got in very late from a night of fun in SF. The evening clerk was rude and difficult to deal with,not helpful at all. I was giving a hard time in regards to my service dog even though I had my service dog card with me.I was unable to get any extra wash cloths or extra covers for the bed. "Inn on Broadway - not so fab"
The location was decent and the parking was great but the hotel itself was not up to par. I didn't pay a ton to stay there so I wasn't expecting the Ritz but whoever gave this place a 3/4 out of 5 star review was sorely mistaken. The street noise was the equivalent to having a freight train passing through your room all night. The room just felt dirty […] based on the looks of the bedding and carpet and the walls were super thin so if the street noise wasn't enough to keep you up all night, your neighbors tv surely would. Would not stay here again, even for the low price as parking and would only recommend it to maybe backpackers who have been sleeping on the street as this may feel like a steal to them. Mehr

"Aussies Abroad!"
Weather turned fowl in the mountains so Plan B, off to SF for a few days but meant we had to book a hotel within 48 hours. This one was convenient, easy to book, off-street parking appreciated but with limitation (come earlier), staff were friendly, helpful on local knowledge. "Surprisingly quiet for the neighborhood"
Inn on Broadway is centrally-located but not very noisy, considering lots of car traffic. Members of my family have stayed here several times in past month and found the rooms to have extra space, parking to be adequate and room rates reasonable. Unassuming, no frills but perfectly adequate for a short stay and very reasonable price.
