Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis war in Ordnung, das Personal war freundlich und kompetent. Von Flagstaff aus sind es nur ca 90 km bis zum Grand Canyon NP. Die Hotels in direkter National- parknähe sind wesentlich teurer, sodaß man hier richtig sparen kann.

This hotel was one of my stays in the Grand Canyon Area and I really was surprised what a good value a got for my 23 Euro I had to pay. Sure, it's not a first class hotel, but what do you expect for 23 Euro. It^s a simple hotel, but clean, has everything you need for a night stay and is in a safe area. The rooms were clean, simple and well arranged. […] The bathroom not large, but with everything you need and clean also. A refrigerator was in the room too, a large bed, writing table, sofa... and a working heater.. absolutely necessary at this time of year. Ok, the typical american fan type which is a little bit noisy, but this one was not that loud. So no problem to keep it working the whole night. You have free wireless high speed internet access the whole day and in the morning you get a breakfast. Sure, not a big buffet, but toasted bread, marmelade, coffee, milk, tee, cereals... the usually simple breakfast. Downtown is two minutes away by car. Shopping centers and restaurants nearby. So in my point of view a good choice for a few cheap days in a in the Gran Canyon area. And last not least: I don't understand the bad comments some other members gave, but ok, its always a personal opinion which could be different by one and the other.... as expectations are not the same by each one too.... Das Hotel liegt etwas ausserhalb von Oldtown Flagstaff, mit einem Auto aber kein Problem. Wir waren auf dem Weg in den Grand Canyon, das Hotel war daher nur für eine Nacht. Daher können wir es weiterempfehlen.

Bates motel. Rude front desk. Dirty room. Bed bugs!!!!!!!!!

Cheap, not awful for one night, but I wouldn't recommend extended stays.

My boyfriend and I spent the night in Flagstaff for our anniversary and didn't want to waste a ton of money on a hotel. This is a quaint little hotel that served it's purpose. Bed was soft, pillows a little lacking. Water pressure was terrible! But all in all it was a decent place. There were a few things in the hotel that needed to be fixed for cosmetics […] sake and our door had a crack in it that had been repaired with tape and painted over. But like I said, you get what you pay for and we didn't pay much! Mehr

The heater only blew out luke warm air and the door and window let cold air in all night. I slept with my sweatshirt because it was so cold and the room did not warm up. It was a very COLD stay. And I would choose somewhere else to stay if needed.

Room was clean but facility and furniture was old. However price was cheap. I think this motel has good balance of value to quality and price except size of toilet seat bumper.

We were on a 10 day road trip for business and from when we pulled in to the parking lot everything went down. The parking lot was full and everyone seemed to just park without a line. It was late at night so when I got to the check in windo and waited for the lady to wake up i was given a sheet in which I was supposed to write down all of my contact […] info, including my credit card. In 2011 I dont know who would do that or even ask that. We get to the room, no elevators a peice of paper taped to the window with the room number on it. Sheets seemed like they just wash and dry with water no detergent, very little funiture, not the advertised desk. The shower whistled as we used it. The towels felt like cardboard against the skin. Glad wwe brought our own soaps and lotion cause what they had was so cheap. After the travel we planned on at least using the advertised jacuzzi to find out in the morning there is none. There was no customer service but a lot of employees staring at us like were going to steal something. I was not only disappointed but felt very uncomfortable and would never recommened this place to people. Mehr

We pulled in late on a Sunday evening after driving 11 hours straight- exhausted and greeted by a night window in the middle of a dark and sketchy looking parking lot. Window attendant was less than helpful and very rude. I had to fill out a half-sheet worth of all of my info; address, phone #, credit card #, drivers liscense # for 'incidentals'. One […] of those situations that I didn't exactly trust that my info would be kept confidential... The room was non-smoking but smelt stale and old. It had a fridge, microwave but no coffee maker. The tub was disgusting! It looked ad if it were stained by the drain but when I turned on the water the grime came off and I had to get out to 'clean' it before I actually used it. Besides these things I was so paranoid about bed bugs or that someone would break through the window or the door and kill me. Pay the extra $15 and stay at the super 8. Mehr

Cute little vintage hotel on Rt. 66 in Flagstaff. It was very clean and nicely maintatined for the age of the hotel. Staff is nice, price is good. In room microwave and refrigerator. Not luxurious, but a good value. My only complaint is that there wasn't a table in the room so it wasn't convenient to eat a meal in the room.

All I was intrested in was location a the room being clean, and it was. Maybe a little work is needed on the rooms as you could see it was looking tiered, but it was clean.

Really cheery service was a great base to explore the Grand Canyon. Nice comfortable room, if you are a light sleeper you may be woken by the train in the distance. Well worth the money.

I thought in the end i payed to much, after my price then fee and then when i got there i was charged extra fees for my animals and it just wasn't anice enough place to pay that much.

We were checked in by a very friendly and informative American woman. She answered all our questions about the area and made wonderful suggestions about eateries and activities. When we checked out, the manager, an Eastern Indian woman, was rude and very impolite. She grilled us about extra persons in our party, which were none, and if we had pets, […] which we did not. We were going to book there again in August, but have now been informed the nice American woman was let go. We will not stay there again! Mehr

Train noise is loud; keeping the AC fan going was necessary for background noise. Nice staff. Central location. Meager continental breakfast. Clean, comfy room. Good rate for an average place.

The girl behind the front desk was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Has a mini fridge and microwave. Its an older hotel but that just gives it a bit of charm. The breakfast wasn't anything special but it hit the spot.

I Did NOT enjoy my stay! Bad pillows and it smelled like sigarettes in the room. HUGE bug rigt outside our door when we came home after dinner. Dirty floor, noisy AC, noisy trains go by all night. Me and my family stayed here and it was ok. the beds were comfy but it is an older hotel so nothing fancy. Also it seemed like a lot of people were living there?? over all it was fine for the 1 night passing through and the staff was pretty nice.

The lady charged me $10 per adult above the gratuitous 1 adult covered in the reservation. So consider that in your cost comparison. Beds are hard. No point in non-smoking rooms when the swamp coolers blow the air from the balcony, where the smokers are, right into your room. I wished I had paid the extra $20-$30 for a true value...this definitely […] wasn't worth the pointless, restless stay. Mehr

i was looking for a cheap clean and safe place to stay and this looked like a good location i rented 2 rooms for 5 people. which when i checked into the hotel the friendly lady had seen and no problem with. we had a good stay it was clean and a really pleasent stay. that is until check out when a lady who barely spoke english interagated me about how […] many people were in my TWO rooms. when i said 5 she totally was not happy at me because i had reported only 4 and i had one extra which i was made to pay $10. she sweated me over $10 when i had just booked 2 ROOMS. i will not be booking here again if they are going to really be moody about $10. This hotel was gross. It was old and outdated and needs some major upgrades. The room had no clock (I've never stayed in a hotel with no clock!). The towels were paper thin and the size of a postage stamp. The bathroom was old and yucky. The curtains would close, but not all the way - there were actually butterfly clips that they'd left on them so you […] could clip the center of the curtains together so they'd stay shut, but then the outer edges of the curtains would leave a space of the window uncovered. The sun came up at 5:00 and it came right through the window! The lady at the front desk was very friendly, but I don't really care about that when you want a decent room. Mehr

This hotel is very old and run down in many ways, but the beds were comfortable and the carpet was new. The manager at the front desk wasn't very friendly. Overall, for the price, I would stay there again if it was just for a cheap place to sleep.

If you are looking for a basic, clean hotel that is inexpensive then consider this one. Breakfast is bread, tin muffins, cereal and juice. Not much to rave about, we went out to eat.

I'm a college student with just one standard and this place fulfilled it: they had SPOTLESS CLEAN WHITE SHEETS! woo hoo. might have been next to a railroad or something. traffic-y noises at night, but not enough to keep me awake.

Our room was more or less in total disrepair. I'll start with the door that had a huge crack in it fixed with a strip of masking tape. The curtains were dry rotted. The room was cavernously empty. The bathroom had the smallest toilet I've ever seen and the flush handle was practically falling off. I fixed the handle and then the toilet ran all night. […] Shower curtain rod was hanging on by a thread. Some plumbing work was done on the bathroom in the past few years as evidenced by the exposed drywall that remains unpainted. Onto the sink area. If you turned the hot water on half way for some reason the water would drop to a trickle and more or less shut off. If you then turned the cold water on a sound reminiscent of a dying Godzilla happened and the floor seemed to shake. There were also some missing kick boards throughout the room. Honestly, I've stayed in nicer budget hotels in Guatemala. Mehr

Top Budget but not the quality of the room. Friendly staffs.

Sandy always had the breakfast ready, and was attentive and helping. I would go back again.

The hotel is on the old Route 66, which puts it close to the railroad tracks. There are freight trains several times per day, but most Flagstaff hotelsare close to the same tracks. The room was comforable and featured a microwave and a refrigerator. It is near the Flagstaff mall and grocery stores. There are good places to eat nearby. I was happy to […] find such a good price. The hotel was decent for the price. The staff was absolutely obnoxious. The lady at the front desk was spying on us. We paid for 2 rooms and there were 4 of us but some friends in the area met us at our hotel for pre dinner drinks and she accused us of deceiving her. I explain to the lady that they live in the area and were only here to pick us up for […] dinner. The next day we checked out and she charged me for extra guests, then proceeded to lecture me about lying! I was livid! The didn't stay, we took a cab back to the hotel after our night out. The hotel was fine for the price but the management is not worth the cheap rate. Be forewarned. Mehr

Selected this motel because I was traveling alone & just wanted a cheap place to sleep overnight. I was assigned a corner room on the second floor. It was a chilly night & the heating/cooling unit barely kept the room warm enough. Plenty of restaurants within driving distance. The complimentary breakfast was bare bones, so I skipped that. The staff was great. Laundry was cheap. It was a bit far from downtown, but great for someone passing through on route 66.

This motel is probably one of the original Route 66 motels. It shows it's age, but the room was clean and comfortable. Located right on Route 66 and close to everything.

I was pleasantly surprised. The quality was excellent for the price.

First off, I was only there for a quick overnight during a long drive. They charged me an extra $10 for my ten year old son because apparently it's $10 extra for any child over the age of six... this is ridiculous. It was pretty clean, but I wish I'd stayed at the Motel 8 which was already $10 more and in a better location. the drapes didn't close fully […] and I woke up at 4 am thinking the sun had already come up between the curtains... I would not recommend this place... their customer service was not great... nothing about this stay was really great. Mehr
