The staff was friendly and I checked in, in only a few minutes. Breakfast was good and you could make your own waffle if desired. Great deal for the location. Only a 10 to 15 minute walk to all of the bars on Jax beach and about 60 dollars less then the hotels near the bars. I'll walk it any day over paying 60 bucks more. The convenience of this spot was its greatest benefit for us. It placed us near relatives and friends who had gathered for a funeral. The proximity to the beach was a plus as well. And we appreciated the reciprocity with the sister Marriott across the street. No hesitation to return should our plans head us again in that direction.

This is a great beach hotel for the price. While it's not on the beach, you are in walking distance (just across 1st Street) and have access to all the ammeneties the Courtyard Marriot has to offer - which is right on the beach.

Location was the only thing great at the stay. Interior was dirty, dated, and poorly serviced. Cleaning people hanging around by the laudnary room gabbing... how about doing the basic like taking out the trash.... Room furnishing and beds are very basic and appear to be 5-7 year ago back in style. The only highlight was passing though the Marriott across […] the street. Same ownership.... I would have expected better quality since the price differentiation was minimal. Caveate is the location to the beach... Very nice beach.... Mehr

This hotel was really clean and comfortable. I appreciated that it was right across the street from the beach and you could use the pool, tiki bar, and beach access from the Marriott across the street. Bars and restaraunts are about 10 blocks away, lots of parking is available or you could take a $3 cab ride. The only cons for me was that there was […] not a mini-fridge (bring a cooler) and no balcony, which i thought i wouldn't miss, but i totally did! Other then that, the stay was very pleasant! Mehr

Staff was extremley attentive and friendly. Housekeeping was not disruptive and was able to clean room in a short period of time. Room a bit small, as were beds. Probably should have upgraded room for my three night stay. Elevator extremely slow. No wireless internet access in room was a dissapointment. Location was great at 1/2 block from the beach […] and priced very reasonably. Beach access through sister hotel across street convenient, although room key did not provide access and had to rely on kindness of others for access. Mehr

Pool was small BUT went for beach not for hotel pool! had access to sister hotel amenities right across the street. Short easy walk to beach which was the purpose of the trip!! Had access to bicycle rentals, etc. Would use hotel again in future for more beach trips! Recommend hotel to others who plan to visit area!

We stayed at the Fairfield because it was one of the cheapest on the strip. It was rated as a 2 1/2 stars, but don't let this fool you, the hotel is definitely immaculate, brand new, and a great place to stay. You get access to the Courtyard by Marriot beach access that's right across the street if you stay at the Fairfield, which is a great plus. […] There is no view of the beach, so you may want to pay a couple more dollars for the Courtyard if that's your thing. So, it's across the street from the beach, not on it, no problem as it takes 2 minutes to walk. There's no ocean view, but I'm happier on the beach, than I am looking at it from my room.. The hotel is reasonably new, it's clean, and service is great. This is the best value in Jax beach. There are nicer hotels with better views, but you will pay 50% […] more. Also, it was great to be able to use the nicer pool/bar/etc. at the Courtyard directly across the street. Mehr

Our room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast with waffles in the morning. The beach was a short walk. I would visit this hotel again.

It's a great location for easy access to the beach. Also allowed to use pool at the Courtyard across the street which has beach view. The lobby presents well, but the rooms are very simple... a tad worn. But overall a great deal for the rate.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. The hotel is across the street from the beach and within walking distance from shops and nightlife. The free breakfast was really good too. Overall a very good experience.

Very good location if you don't mind walking across the street to get to the beach, literally less than 5 minute walk! Great Breakfast, friendly staff. Only minuses for us were not having a minifridge/microwave (I don't know if that's true for all rooms) and the pool was really small, but we still had fun in it! We were very happy with the hotel. The location is excellent, within walking distance to the pier and restaurants.

Great location to the beach. Towels were like sandpaper! Nice that you could use all of the amenities of the Courtyard Marriott right across the street.

Hotel was directly across the street from the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool & spa was small and in need of updating BUT we weren't there to use the pool & spa, we were there for the BEACH! Continental breakfast consisted of mini bagels, muffins, & do-it-yourself waffles. Rooms were clean and comfortable. I would stay again.

The hotel was just across the street from the beach! The room was very much to my family's liking. The staff directed us to great restaurants and entertainment in the area. There was a convenient shuttle for a small fee would take you to restaurants and shops if you didn't want to walk. We even saw the summer Jazz festival while there. It was a great […] trip! Mehr

Very comfortable. Able to use the facilities of sister hotel on beach including pool and restaurant. Only complaint was no fridge.

Easy access to the wonderful beach through the hotel on the other side of the quite street. God neighborhood. Delicious complimentary breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay at the Fairfield Inn and Suites very much. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly and the hotel is situated a few feeds from the much overlooked and marvelous beach. There is lots of free parking space. The breakfast was great and the staff friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacey.
