Lakeside Inn and Casino - Stateline

Das Hotel hat 70er Jahre "Charme", die Ausstattung ist aber in Ordnung und das Hotel ist gut geführt. Im Umfeld gibt es zahlreiche Casinos, daher ist es für einen reinen Ferienaufenthalt eher nicht geeignet..

Cosy hotel casino. Great customer service and great food as well. Will stay again and again.

Had another great stay here. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is yummy and priced competively. Nothing beats sitting in the jacuzzi with the snowflakes drifting down...definitely will be back.

Our stay at the Lakeside was great. Got a room bordering the pool and hot tub which was great after an awesome day on the slopes. Friendly and helpful staff and cheapest tables in town (now that Bill's is closed). I will definitely stay again!!

I guess it wasn't bad for my first time in Lake Tahoe. But now that i really know the area a bit more i'll probably go somewhere else. Not much of a Casino player and hanging around these areas there is alot of second hand smoke going around. Tried to hold my breathe as long as i could going through the lobby. But for the most part it served it's purpose. […] The daily maid service was very good however. Rooms are kept nice and tiddy when you get back to your room it is a pleasure. Front desk wasn't too helpful but enough to get by. Mehr

The room was comfortable. The Lakeside is a locals casino, dinner and bar, all of which were acceptable for the traveling salesman. Yes, I would recommend the Inn.

Very satisfied with everything about our five night stay.

This was a great place to stay! The rooms were dated, but clean and comfortable. Service was excellent, and the staff was polite and prompt. The location was ideal because it was not directly on the strip of south lake Tahoe, about 1/4 of a mile away and easily walk able. Our group had 6 people and we had 2 double beds and a pull out couch. Everyone […] slept comfortably. The casino was small which made gambling and hanging out more fun for our group because we did not like the giant casino scene. They also have a shuttle that runs hourly to take skiers and snowboarders to Heavenly. Overall all I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to people who want a quality hotel at a reasonable price. Mehr

We were up to ski for a few days, and enjoyed our stay. Great location. Small hike down to lake. Friendly staff, loved the room & balcony and the coffee pot in room. Beds were a bit uncomfortable, especially pillows. (too big and hard)

Pretty simple folks....If you're looking for the best VALUE in south lake it's right here....If you want the glitz and glamour of the strip and want to overpay go somewhere else (which I sometimes do). Great location, rooms are ALWAYS clean and tidy, bathrooms clean etc., service is always good and the price is always good. Cleanliness is big to me, […] as I am a bit of a clean freak. These rooms have never let me down, but again, you have to keep your expectations of "glamour" in check. Timber House is great, def. not fine dining, but really good food for the price IMO. Prime rib dinner is a great deal. Convenient sports book, right next to Tavern which is the best bar by far (both in energy and service). Casino bar sucks, which is too bad because it has potential, it's simply that the bartenders are terrible on the casino floor. Blackjack is great, dealers are some of the friendliest I've ever seen. I love to bet on UFC/NFL/NCAA football etc., they have a convenient sportsbook. While I placed some bets at "larger" casinos for Vegas odds, I found their sportsbook to be great for NFL gm's and other casual bets etc. My fiancee and I come to Tahoe multiple times a year to get away, hike, over-eat and play. If we're going for romance, as when I proposed to her, we might stay somewhere else but as I stated, this is the best value on the strip. Great value, .5 mile from the "hub" of South Lake, my soon-to-be wife and I are normally slot players, but the dealers were so helpful and friendly that we are now 1/2 blackjack players 1/2 slot players. I could go on about this place for long enough to sound like an employee, but as a working student in my late 20's I can't overstate my inclination to stay here while in Tahoe. The dollar goes furthest here, which is something to be said in Tahoe! Mehr

Although this hotel is not in the "downtown" of South Lake Tahoe, it is close enough to let you get where ever you want. Nice little casino with live dealers - not always the case - and plenty of action, with a sports book and several bars. Food in the coffee shop is great for a $4.99 price for breakfast. We have stayed here twice now. It has been reasonably priced both times. And although not completely updated, carpet was worn, the rooms have been very clean and quiet which are the two main things We look for. The location is on the main road andeasily accessible to everything. The staff has been very friendly and accommodating. The on site restaurants […] are also very good and reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area. We will probably stay there again Mehr

This is a great value for the money. It is comfortable and affordable,a nd you get a nice dose of the Tahoe ambience with it. I recommend this hotel to anyone staying int he Tahoe area, and the restaraunt is world class and affordable.

For anyone that likes good food, this Hotel had a great menu to choose from and everything that we had was very good. We even met the chef who just recently changed the menu and dishes...Great location, 8 minutes to the ski resort ...6 minutes to the lake.....

The price, location and service were excellent. On day two of our stay, I accidentally locked my keys in my truck. The hotel security, and maintenance loaned us the necessary tools to get my keys out. Apart from that experience, the hotel staff was courteous, and the room, food were all great. I will stay again when in Lake Tahoe. Thanks!

Based on the reviews, I expected this hotel to be pretty good. While it certainly wasn't terrible, it wasn't that great either, and not an extraordinary value. Since I am not a gmbler, it was not necessary to stay at a casino, and with smoking allowed in the casino portion, it was impossible to avoid inhaling cigarette smoke in the public areas. This hotel rooms needs to be updated. The room was very small with a horrible view of a wall with a run down door. The television was dirty as if someone had just spilled something over the front of it. I will not stay at this hotel again.

Clean room but old carpet and linens. Bedspread had cigarette holes in a non-smoking room. Much more updated hotels in Tahoe for the price. Restrauant in the casino has decreased in quality as well .

Not sure why it's called Lakeside? Haven't been here in years and it looks and feels like the hotel has not been updated in years. Foul odors in corridors, uncomfortable beds/pillows and outdated decor. I will not come back here.

Staff was friendly but the hotel was old and run down.

We really enjoyed this hotel due to its ambiance, "rustic, cabin" sort of look and feel. Bartender in the Timberlake restaurant was great, so was the food.

Good thing I'm not a gambler. I walked through the casino and almost choked to death with all the smoke. I had breakfast one morning and the french toast was good but ordered a little extra with a bisket and gravy and didn't care for the gravy - just my taste buds I guess. The room was decent but old but good enough for what I needed it for. The good […] thing was that it was right on the pool though I didn't get to use it as it didn't open until 10 am and I was gone by then. Would I return ?? Yeah because of the price but nothing there for me as far as entertainment. Just a place to sleep. Mehr

Definitely adequate. The price beat the big casino hotels. The hotel and rooms are kind of run down and worn out, but everything was clean and acceptable. The sevice was good and friendly. Our room was quiet and comfortable.

We could not have imagined anything that could have been done to make us feel more welcome.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Lakeside Inn. It was conveniently located and very reasonably priced. For those who like the casinos, there is one at this hotel. However, for those who prefer not to have to walk through a smoky casino everytime they enter their hotel room, the Inn is actually located behind the casino, which I preferred. I also liked […] the openness of the room upon entering, rather than entering a small hallway like many hotels. I had no problems filling my luggage through the entryway. I also liked the cabin-like feel of the room. Views weren't extraordinary from my room, but the balcony was a great way to spend a few moments enjoying my coffee in the morning. Give it a try! Mehr

We stayed one night. I don't think we ever won anything anywhere in the casino on any game. Times must be tough. However, it is a good neighborhood and the rooms were quaint, and we had a nice time at the karaoke in the bar downstairs that Friday.

Front desk not to concerned with service. Pet friendly rooms were all smoking rooms and the smell in one of them was unbearable, to the point that we had to get a non smoking room amd left our daughter in the best smelling room of the two. A room at the lower quality hotels would have been as good.

Clean, retro-style rooms. The best part for me was the adjacent trail through the gorgeous reclaimed meadow to Nevada Beach, which is my favorite beach in the world!

Excellent! Comfortable beds, clean rooms and the two restaurants in the hotel are great! Located within walking distance of shopping center and casinos.

Our towels were dirty when we first got there, but they were taken care of right away. We loved our stay at Lakeside.

Nice change of pace of for those used to staying in the bigger hotel/casino complexes. The rooms were clean and well stocked. The exterior is getting a little old, but don't let that fool you. The casino is nice and services all the average players needs. The $2 happy hour option in the casino bar is a positive. They also give you a number of discounts […] if it is your birthday month, discounts you can really use, that add up to some nice savings. The staff was helpful and friendly. Ate two meals in the on site restaraunt, and the dinner meal was very tasty with good portions. Breakfast was good, but not superb. Price wise it seemed to be a good value for all that was on site, as well as being well located near stateline. Mehr

Decor was rustic but nice.

We found the Lakeside Inn very spacious, comfortable--great linens. Quiet at night.

My friend and I needed 2 separate beds, and the only room we were able to get had two double beds. They were not very comfortable, and in fact did not seem like good quality beds. However, on a more kind sounding voice, the room was clean and the bathroom was clean. The towels were nice and thick. A fun hotel to stay at. Be sure to sign up for the Lakeside Gambling Card if it is your bday month because there are some great goodies that we took advantage of. The slots were in our favor --- turned $1 into $40 :)
