I like the hot breakfast, esp. the pancake & fresh biscuits with creamed sauce, scramble eggs & sausages were good. Yogurt, bannana also what I like. Oh they also had french toasts too. Some people liked their freshly baked cinnamin buns. Reception staff very helpful in giving out direction of sightseeing places. Breakfast servers very diligent in serving […] food. Very friendly and kept their smiles. Only negative comment was some guests left behind some local newspapers or advertising columns in a mess on the little coffee table for other guests to use. I just cared about the hot buffet breakfast. That's why I always picked Holiday Inn Express. Mehr

The facility was poorly built and the noise from the upstairs occupants was obvious. Also, the shower heads were of a unique design and useless. All other characteristics including the staff were great.

The loudest hotel I have ever stayed in. The people on the floor above us sounded like elephants and kept us up. Woke up several times throughout the night to people being loud in the hallway, people's cell phones ringing in surrounding rooms, and the couple above us enjoying a morning delight. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff was wonderful; I would have hoped for a hotel closer to Roberts Wesleyan, as my daughter and I were there for a college visit. However, the staff and room were very nice and I would highly recommend. Also, the complimentary breakfast offered an amazing number of choices and was very tasty.

Hotel uses an air freshener that is overpowering. Anyone with any allergies should avoid this hotel. We stayed in their "newer" building, which means you have to go outside and into the main building for breakfast ... which was not worth the effort. The eating area was clean and had full availabilty of items.... but the quality of the food (eggs, pancakes) […] was below anything I have ever encountered... the bacon was okay. If you go stick with the coffee, juice, yogurt, cereal. Sorry to have to share this, but is is better to know what to expect. Mehr

Nothing too fancy, but as usual, holiday inn express did a great job making me feel welcome and providing the needed items to make my stay for work easy. Free and functional internet, coffee and cookies always available in the lobby and a clean crisp atmosphere that I'll return to.

We were just staying for one night. We requested a change to a room with a king bed, rather than two doubles. The young man at the front desk, took a little while but was very thorough, even checking with housekeeping that the room had been cleaned. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The fire alarm went off at 1:15 in the mor ing and the communication from staff was nonexistent as we all waited out in the parking lot. The place is convenient but we thought overpriced for uncomfortable beds.

The hotel has 2 buildings. We stayed in building 2. We arrived late that night and was checked in a room where there was issue with the drainage problem in the bathtub. The frontdesk lady tried to work on it but without success. Then they switched us to another room, upstairs, and no elevator. We have 3 young kids plus our luggages. Next day the toilet […] was plugged up too. The carpet is very old and dirty. Overall appearance of the hotel is not good. The only thing I would give credit was the breakfast served and the front desk staff is friendly. But we will not go back there again. Mehr

For the most part this was a good stay. Room was clean and quiet. Staff was helpful and professional. Complimentary breakfast was ok but the coffee that was offered was dreadful.

This was about the best rate we could find and it still wasn't cheap. Very bare bones. Carpet could use a cleaning or replacement. Our room was in a separate building; didn't love walking out again at night. Breakfast was weak. There was nothing awful about the place, but I won't be going back.

The hotel is at a busy intersection and it is challenging to enter and exit during rush hours. Otherwise, it's fine- clean rooms, friendly staff, ample free breakfast.

The hotel is always very clean and is located just off the freeway and among lots of of restaurants of various prices. As a women travelling alone, I feel safe and secure here. Went to the workout room for the first time and it was spotless.

This was our first stay in Holiday Inn Express in Rochester but I have to say it won't be our last. The service at this holiday was exceptional. There was a problem with the reservation that we had made through Hotels.com which took some time to resolve. The bathroom sink was completely clogged and there was no maintenance person there in the evening. The desk clerk found a plunger and I did the plunging. The shower drain was also clogged.

My hotel room had sheets on the bed that were not clean. It was very clear that the room had not been cleaned before I checked in, though the hotel fixed this problem, it still left me with a bad taste in my mouth and wishing I could switch hotels.

Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Use of FAX and computer at no charge. Room quiet and clean. Bed very comfortable. Overall excellent and very well managed facility. We were there a week visiting family and will go back again. Very near Wegman's and other convenient shoping.

Only one small thing.....there was no shower cap in the bathroom. Luckily I brought one from home, so did not pose a problem. We thank you for having our rooms ready a bit early since we had a wedding to attend. Also enjoyed the restaurant next door. Service was fast and friendly.

We stayed here for 2 nights to visit area colleges. This location was perfect for Nazareth, RIT and University of Rochester campus visits. Rooms were clean. Hotel is nothing special, but affordable and functional. It was easy to get to all 3 colleges, about 10 -15 mins to each of them. Also easy drive to restaurants and mall for movie theaters.

I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. It's a nice basic hotel close to an upscale neighborhood (high end steakhouse just up the street, country club around the corner). I stayed here for a weekend while in town for a conference. The hotel was very clean, modern-looking, and the staff were very friendly. Its location just off of 590 made the hotel very […] easy to get to, and it was easy to get into the city from the hotel's location. There was plenty of free parking available in the hotel's open-air lot. The free WiFi worked well. I found it to be a tad slower than what I'm used to, but it supported my activities just fine. Their free breakfast was very basic, but good. (There's a 24-hour diner right next store that I didn't try if you're looking for something more hearty). I wanted some extra sleep on Sunday morning, and asked if I could check out an hour later -- they were happy to accommodate my request at no extra charge, which was awesome. I'd definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a basic place to stay for a few days. Mehr

It's great to find a "boutique" hotel with all amenities available, location is accessible to everything (including Starbucks!), staff is friendly and helpful with excellent WIFI, great rooms and cable.

The hotel was clean, there was a good variety for breakfast (tasted good too!), the staff was polite. I requested a rollaway and a crib and both were in my rooms waiting.
