Hyatt Pinon Pointe - Sedona

Smallest room we've ever stayed in. We were charged an extra $ 20 for aminities not even available. Pool was empty, no desk in room to work, too much furniture in a small room. Snobs at the front desk. Gorgeous on the outside and for the most part, inside as well, but again, too small.

The room we were in had NO view of the "red rocks of Sedona" as described on line. We were on the ground floor, it was dark and viewed the wall of the steps.

This is one amazing place. Very comfortable and spacious. The location is very centralized to everything. Don't miss out on the Pink Jeep Broken Arrow tour.

Too many furnishings crowed into a small space. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything in the adjacent room.

My first time to Sedona, and to the Pinon Pointe Hotel. It's a truly unique building design, and one that complements and highlights the local scenery so well, you'd think it had *always* been there. Comfortable rooms, nice pool and firepit area, bakeries and shops across the street, and perfectly located for strolls into downtown Sedona. My only gripe […] was that the room rate didn't include use of the sports facilities, which wasn't made explicit at the time of booking. Had to pay $20 fee. More an irritant than a dealbreaker. Sedona is beautiful - the hotel was a time share community very beautiful facilities however our room was a studio very cramped and dusty. Very poor location. The time share units looked beautiful with incrdible views.

This is perfectly located in Sedona, right behind a really cute shopping/restaurant area. We could walk to dinner and shopping, which was convenient. The room was clean and plenty big, a bit rustic for some perhaps, but we loved it. When we mistakenly left some clothing in a closet, they were kind enough to mail it to our next destination. (charged […] the FedX to our card, of course..) We'd definitely stay here again. Mehr

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Pinon Pt in Sedona, Arizona with family members for an impromptu family reunion. There were 5 adults staying in our 2 bedroom suite and it was gorgeous and spacious- complete with a fireplace and granite countered kitchen! I have stayed in a lot of 4 and 5 star hotels in my time and this was one of the nicest! It was winter […] so we couldn't take advantage of the beautiful pool, but the views were unreal! And the fire pits were welcoming! We wanted to invite the relatives that were not staying with us to our hotel for cocktails, but since we were on the second floor the elders in our group couldn't make the stairs. Well,the front desk told us that we were welcome to entertain in their beautiful clubhouse and hospitality furnished us with cups, plates & everything we needed to serve our guests with our own food & beverages! I was very impressed! Also, one day I left my diamond engagement ring and wedding band by the bathroom sink by mistake & was thrilled to find them still there upon my return! I highly recommend this hotel- close to all & gorgeous! We also took advantage of the hiking- don't miss that! Mehr

Magical moments. It snowed for our trip and gave us the Christmas magic we were looking for. Must go back in warmer weather and explore the area more.

I highly recommend this resort! The views from the rooms are outstanding, the amenities are lovely and the staff most gracious and informative of local highlights. I can't wait to go back!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Sedona. Great for families traveling with small children. Walking distance to lots of fun activities and restaurants.

The hotel is surrounded by beautiful views but unfortunately the views from a majority of the rooms, including ours, were merely walls of the hotel. The room was really small and had a very odd arrangement of furniture; 2 chairs and a small table sat directly in of the love seat(actually touching it) and the tv was about 2' beyond that. Had to move […] the 2 chairs to be able to sit on the love seat. Unfortunately, there was no where to move the chairs that weren't in the way. There is an interior door shared with the adjacent room and you could hear everything to the point it felt like we were all in the same room. Overall the room was very small, claustrophobic and no view at all. Definitely not worth the price we paid. I wouldn't stay there again if it was half of what we paid. Mehr

I was under the empression that we would have a 2 queen suite. When we checked in at the hotel they could not find our reservation and they almost sent us away. Then they happened to find us because we were listed under my first name and not our last name? We received a 1 queen bed suite with a very hard full size sleeper pull out couch? I was told […] by hotel staff in a very non apologetic way that 2 queen bed suites didn't exist at their hotel? Mehr

Really enjoyed stay. Only disappointment was the 20 dollar resort fee at checkout. My conclusion is that they hold back fee and charge to those who do not join vacation club.

We loved staying at the Hyatt! The staff was great and very friendly and helpful. We also loved the amenities.

This was a return visit to this hotel which is perfectly located in uptown Sedona. The view from the hotel is breathtaking. The rooms are very clean. The only thing that put me off a little this time was the aloofness of the concierge. Having been to the hotel and the area previously i knew my way around but i did have a few questions and they seemed […] to be hassled by my questions.. so much so that my two daughters, ages 13 and 16 picked up on it. I have nothing bad to say about this Hyatt. The room are essentially small apartments with full kitchens, balconies, dining tables, living rooms. The spa tub in the bedroom (large enough for two people!) was fantastic. The pool area is absolutely gorgeous, with perhaps the best views in all of Sedona. We were considering L'Auberge, but it was much more […] expensive, and after visiting, was more like a series of fancy boyscout cabins near a hum-drum creek, with almost no view of the red rocks. If you've ever done any camping in wooded areas, L'Auberge is quite overrated in terms of the setup, location, and views. The Hyatt is a fantastic place to spend a week (or more) considering the location, amenities, views, and price. Mehr

Loved they Hyatt. The location was great, atop a small hill with an amazing overlook to the area and right next to the main street full of shops, tlaquepaque, and other restaurants. The Hyatt also has stores on site and a starbucks with what must be one of the best views in the country. We had a suite with full kitchen, washer/dryer, spa tub and separate […] shower. A beautiful "apartment"-like hotel. Great service. Lovely view from pool. Full kitchen. In-room jet tub. They leave you alone when you want it and tend to you when you ask. I read other reviews that they came on strong trying to sell the time-share. This was not the case for me.. they asked me once when I checked in and met with the concierge "to learn […] about the services and surrounding area". I said not interested. They never bothered me again. We had a phenomenal time and I would love to stay there again. Spacious and walkable to food, shops, etc. Loved it! Mehr

This is a beautiful 2 bedroom condo close to the downtown area. It had 2 bedrooms, fireplace in living room, galley kitchen area with everything you need, washer and dryer, jaz. tub in main bedroom as well as shower in main bath, shower/tub combo in small room (which also had a small kitchenette area, dining area and two decks! It also has a great pool […] and recreation building with pool, tables, books to borrow and computers with some games. Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and places/things to do. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Mehr

Room was a little cramped due to all the furniture, but a very nice resort. Not too pushy about viewing their timeshare presentation.

This hotel is very beautiful and great location to shops and dining!My grandaughter enjoyed the activity Center and playing pool. The outdoor view at the pool and spa was outstanding!

This hotel was within walking distance to so many great restaurants and attractions. It has a lot of ammenities such as a pool, fitness area, tennis courts and a firepit which is a great late night spot. The drawback - I was never asked to checkout by 10 a,m. before. This is WAY too early considering the price we paid for one night. The cleaning service […] actually knocked on our door before 10. When I'm on vacation, I'd like to take my time in the morning. Just loved the hotel, it was beautfiul and relaxing !

This was one of the best hotels I stayed at on a recent trip. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was awesome and way more than expected. The amenities included were great!

Great hotel, apartment excellent and very quiet, great views from the living area and bedroom balcony. Good range of places to eat nearby in Sedona. Nice pool.

We got a two bed place, which was great. One was a true suite with large walk out balcony, full kitchen, sitting area with fire and tv, eating area, office desk, jacuzzi tub and separate bathroom with great shower. Other room had a mini-kitchen and less glam bathroom and much smaller walk out balcony. I think sofa in sitting area converted to queen […] bed. The place was beautifully designed and kept. A real pleasure. Pots and pans for kitchen were a bit rudimentary, but did the job. Amenities include pool area and fire pit which is lit every night. We used both these and enjoyed them. Pool is not really for swimming, but for cooling off after basking on many lounger chairs. Good for kids also. Views from pool area are absolutely fantastic. The location of this property is ideal. Also there are restaurants that are part of the complex, including a bread company and a sushi restaurant (very good but not outstanding). And L'Auberge is a short walk across the road and down the hill for a really fancy and incredible dinner. Parking is convenient. Daily cleaning service of the rooms excellent, including putting dishes in the dishwasher. This was really a great place. It is still a hotel, so a bit impersonal and corporate compared with some other options you might go with in Sedona, but the staff were great (with one exception, but even they weren't terrible). It had about as much pleasant class as I have ever seen for a large hotel. Mehr

Among all the positive aspects of this facility, I would like to point out some not so positive things. First, the air condition unit is very loud and woke me up at night. Second, the sound insulation between rooms is very questionable. I could hear my next door blow drying her hair and talk on a speaker phone. It is too bad for a 4 plus star hotel […] . Mehr

This is one of Hyatt's vacation club properties -- a mix of time-share owned units and rental units. The units are very nice, as is the pool/hot tub/rec center. The price is good for the accomodations, but don't expect some of the niceities of a hotel, e.g. onsite restaurant, morning paper, etc. Pros: *right in town, walking distance to pretty much […] everything Sedona has to offer * very spacious and upscale rooms * full kitchens w/blender, toaster, fridge, range, microsoft, coffee maker, silverware, plates, etc. * high-end feel, full access to all facilities incl. bbq grills, pool, hot tub, fitness & rec center (pool, ping pong, internet) Cons: * vacation club, so will try to sell you on a pitch to buy in (but weren't high pressure when I refused) * check out time is 10 a.m. -- too early * no onsite restarant, but many close by, including a Starbucks Mehr

This hotel is right in the middle of the town of Sedona. Very convenient to shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Beautiful views of the red rocks of Sedona, but you must request a view room. Actually, the rooms are really more like condos--ours was a one bedroom with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, king bed with jacuzzi in the bedroom, full bath […] with shower and two sinks. The den had a sleeper sofa and a fireplace. Perfect for our family with two teenagers. The pool area had a great hot tub and fire pit with unbelievable views. The level of service is not as great as a typical hotel--no bellman, no valet, no room service. But perfect if you need a little more space and the convenience of being right in town. We had a great stay ni the 1 bdrm at the Hyatt PP...The room was big and had plenty of space for our two young kids to run around in + a nice size dining room table w/ full kitchen. We only stayed one night but would have felt comfortable for several with all the ammenities. Great view of the red rocks from our balcony, and woke up the next morning […] to 4 inches of snow everywhere...what a beautiful sight. We would definitely stay here again, with or without the kids. We selected the Hyatt at Pinion Pointe because of the proximity to uptown Sedona. We assumed it would be a nice hotel because of the name and it's prime location. Instead, we got a very dated room that was probably furnished with the orginal furniture and bedding from the 1980s. While the hotel gives you free internet access, we could not access it […] at all with either our wireless connections or the hard wire. We called the front desk who sent an engineer. He rebooted the router and we still could not connect. He then put a router in our room, which still would not allow us to connect. The engineer and later the hotel manager pretty much told us that if we wanted to connect to the internet that we would have to call THEIR vendor and troubleshoot the problem. We have no business relationship with their vendor so it did not make sense if they were having connectivity problems with their server why we should have to get on a 1-800 number and spend time trying to figure out why the hotel was having issues. Eventually another engineer went to our room and checked the router. He reported that there were crossed wires and that he fixed them. While we could at least connect to some degree, for the most part, access was extremely limited. The other issue with our room is that we could not get hot water for a bath or shower. We reported this to the hotel manager who, after checking our room, said that we did not have a hot water problem in our room. I asked him, "Did you check the shower, which is where we have the problem?" No, he had not. He only checked at the sink. After checking the shower, it was discovered that we did not have hot enough water and it was adjusted. We were informed that the hotel was at only 10% of capacity - most every room was empty. In spite of this, the management would not move us to a newer room which did not have all the issues that were problematic for us. Nor did we get an offer of a credit. Very poor customer service. We have stayed in so many places in Sedona, including some really great bed and breakfasts. This is our new favorite. The room size is great, the decor is good, the patios are huge and the location is ideal. We will definitely be back.

The facilities and amenities were really good, but I have to mention that when I went into the bathroom, I was disappointed with the set up of the toilet and the toilet paper dispenser. It was so tightly squeezed into a corner and when one sat down on the toilet, the dispenser was right against the left side of my body. I am a petite woman and it wasn't […] so bad. What if I was a 6foot 300lb person? Poor planning? Otherwise, everything else was great, the staff were very pleasant, excellent customer service. Mehr

Kind reception, convenient location, clean room but some minor things need to be fixed.

I live in Scottsdale, AZ and have stayed in many hotels Sedona in the past, the Hyatt was wonderful, beautiful room and fabulous views. Highly recommend.
