Das Hotel ist günstig gelegen im Stadtteil Earls Court, nur wenige Gehminuten von der U-Bahn Station entfernt. Es entspricht dem Londoner Standard, den man für diese Preisklasse erwarten kann. Die Zimmer sind sauber, aber etwas abgewohnt, Teppich und Bettüberwurf abgenutzt, alte Armaturen im Bad, schwacher Wasserdruck auf den Leitungen. The Hotel is located just one minute from the Earl's Court Subway Station and thus in easy reach of the City Centre and on a direct line from Heathrow Airport. Extremely helpful and courtois staff - rather small single room.

liegt nur ca. 3 Min vom Underground-Bhf. Earls Square entfernt; von daher ausgezeichnete Verkehrsanbindung. Das Hotel liegt nahe der Metro-Station Earls Court. Um abends essen zu gehen, gibt es viele Möglichkeiten. Zuerst wollte man mir ein grässliches Zimmer geben, mit verbarrikadierten Fenstern und fast keinem Licht. Ich reklamierte sehr entschieden und bekam dann ein schönes, helles Zimmer im 4.Stock. Beim Frühstück werden die Sachen vom gestrigen Tag […] einfach wieder aufgetragen, sie liegen nicht einmal auf einem frischen Teller. Der Fruchtsaft ist auch abgehangen. Das MyPlace ist ein schönes Hotel mit sauberen Zimmern und freundlichem Personal. Aber Achtung: es hat einen hauseigenen Club mit sehr lauter Musik für alle, die die Nacht lieber schlafend verbringen möchten (zumindest im ersten Stock selbst mit Ohrstöpseln noch ein grosses Ärgernis). es befindet sich nur 1 minute von der metrostation earl's court...ist super mit dem zentrum verbunden, das preisleitungsverhältnis ist genial...wir waren nur eine nacht dort, aber würden es sofort wieder buchen...

I thought the location being near a stop on the tube which was a direct line from Heathrow Airport was great. Having the tube within about 1000 ft of the hotel made it very convenient to all parts of the city. The staff was very helpful and gave great information about how to get around London. The room had a little to be desired. While the bathroom […] was new and very clean the sleeping area was not as clean. The room looked like the picture in their add but everything was faded and the colors were washed out. The ornate headboard was very dusty and when I mentioned it to the desk clerk hoping that she would have something done about it, I was disappointed when nothing was done to clean the headboard. The continental breakfast was OK but boring since it was exactly the same ting for the whole week. Overall I felt like I got what I paid for. Mehr

Rooms need more attention! Good location for exhibion visitors.

I visit London regularly and while this hotel doesn't have the most modern furnishing and lacks a more up to date cable television channel options, this is "my place" to stay whenever I visit. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was mostly comfortable, although the bathroom had a musty smell. They changed our room when we requested it.

No windows, No Ventilation, Room was Like a small dirty sealed box. Furniture looks like picked up from the dumpsters

This hotel is a night mare! In the middle of the winter, they cutted the heater during the day and as we were going to sleep, we could die from the cold. We go to London once a year and have finally found a hotel that suits us, even though at first it seemed a little odd with lights off in the hallways. However, we are going back on our next visit because we found the location great and the staff really, really pleasant. Great location, and friendly staff!

This hotel is in a great place, but I struggled with the lack of any fresh air. The windows were strange (a row on the floor and a row on the ceiling) and could not be opened. This made my room impossibly warm and clammy, with very stale air. The rest of the reviews are fair I feel - quite run down, but the location is good. I stayed twice last month and both times I found the staff to be super friendly and helpful, from reception, to cleaners and kitchen staff. The location is so easy with a 2 minute work to Earls Court tube and an easy walk to Kensington High Street. It's well worth the money as a three star hotel. Would stay again. Thank you!

I was overall satisfied with this hotel. Only a 5 min walk from the Earl's Ct Tube Station. Lots of facilities around- banks, restaurants, laundromats, pubs, and other public transportation means! The continental breakfast is OK but you can live without it. I had a room on the 6th floor -- and yes, they have an elevator, which isn't always available […] at this type of hotel -- and I could open the window to get fresh air w/o worrying about the fire alarm. The room was a double room and the only thing I'd like to point out is that the carpet was dirty and stained -- but the linen was clean and I got fresh towels every day. The receptionist, Natalia, was wonderful! It is, however, a 2 star hotel so don't expect much. I was pleased and would recommend it to anyone who wants a great deal for a hotel in London. Mehr

It's not luxurious by any means but works well as a base and place to stay for touring London. Good value for the price. We stayed 18 days. Free WiFi only covered the ground floor but there is a McD nearby that had a very good signal into our room. The Underground was only about a minute walk from the hotel so getting anywhere is London was a breeze. […] Staff was helpful and friendly. Booked even after reading poor reviews and went with low expectations and the hotel lived up to those low expectations! But for one night when in late and out early it was fine - I wouldn't plan to stay there for any length of time! Light was faulty, phone didn't work, window stuck open. The hotel is a bit old and worn but for the price it works.

Small room like most hotel in London. Service was good and the location was perfect. Over all i recomend this hotel, just avoid the chinese restaurant Dragons palace that's in the neighboorhood

It is the most horrible hotel I have ever stayed at. I hardly slept, all nigth, because it was so desgusting. I thought I booked a room at a hotel, not a hostel.

The only two things I liked about the hotel was the location and that the rooms were clean. Overall I could not recommend the hotel to anyone. We had a problem with the lights and when we asked at the desk about fixing them it seemed no one would do anything. I would definitely not stay here again.

The hotel & area were fine for convenience. If I were going there again I would request a room at the rear of the building as street noise was very intrusive at the front.

I was expecting the worst after reading all the other comments, but to my surprise the hotel was actually half decent. The room was clean, even though a bit rugged and the carpets could use a change, and comfy even though it was small and looked like it was decorated by my grandmother. The trouser press, fridge and hair dryer all came in handy. Location […] is excellent, as the hotel is just around the corner from the tube stop, and it's on the piccadilly and district line in zone 1. The area has a lot of convenience stores, restaurants and pubs. Breakfast was actually really good as well, and i enjoyed it thoroughly. Too bad there was no wifi in the rooms, but the garden area was pretty nice too, and having to drag yourself downstairs to go online allows you to see the other hotel guests as well. Stayed in August 2011. No AC so street noise is a lot with windows open. Had fan and clean sheets. Bed was pretty hard though. Ok for one night. SUPER convienent and close to stuff!! Maybe like 2.5 stars....

NOT GOOD A GOOD EXPERIENCE. If I could say how I really felt, I think I would be sued by Hotels.com. This was terribly disappointing. I am grateful I have a sense of humor, without it I might have jumped from my 5th floor walk up...elevator didn't work. And no lights in the stairwells....oh yeah except of a floor lamp on the second floor.

If you’re on one of the upper floors, you might want to buy a day’s or a week’s worth of Internet access from BT-Fon, but don’t even count on that working all the time. I stayed in a single room on the sixth floor. The room was rather small, which would not have bothered me at all had it not been filled with large stuffed furniture intended for a much larger room (and era). The bed, on the other hand, was a single, not too comfortable affair with a footboard that kept banging my knee every time I passed by. (If you’re likely to be put off by a dirty torn mattress pad, don’t look under the nice clean sheets.) The carpet by the door was really dirty, but the bathroom was nice and clean. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom, which was very handy, and the shower was good and strong. There was also a television that offered three channels consisting of the same silly programming you can find on American television. The only thing I found annoying was the lighting—a dim overhead light, which made reading in bed a headache producer. (A lamp would be lovely!) Breakfast was included. It would have been more than adequate, but the "coffee" came out of a machine and was quite horrible. If you want to venture out for a decent cup of coffee and some great pastries, there’s a wonderful café just around the corner. It is obvious that at one time this was a lovely quaint hotel which is showing much wear around the edges. This could be over looked if the fraying edges didn't include thebed linens. Tight quarters could be ignored if all else was in order, but it is not. Toilet seats the hit one on the back during use is uneccessary. We booked three rooms one was […] changed due to toilet overflowing on first use. Underground just around the corner. Night club with no cover promised on premises not available due to private party. Location is quite convenient since it is nearby to Earls Courst underground station. Room was ok but not great. Breakfast was minimal but in a nice room. Quality to price ratio is reasonably good and therefore it is a valid option.

The air conditioning didn't work. No tea or coffee in the room and the bed was hard. Tea and Coffee in the lounge but who wants to go down 4 floors for a cup of tea in the morning. OK for one night only.

Not a fancy hotel, we did not expect it to be so, but it had clean and comfortable beds. It is a great location to the transportation system. Just steps away from the Underground, buses and bike rentals. Plenty of food choices in the neighborhood and two launderettes and internet cafes very nearby. If you are looking for a cheap stay in the city of london the MyPlace Hotel would be a good choice. However, the comfort is just middle class as what could be expected from the prize.

I stayed for 10 nights. A bit difficult to locate at first since the hotel sign is not usually lit, but the experience was very good: clean rooms, friendly staff, convenient location (literally just around the corner from the Earls Court tube station). A bit shabby in a charming, British way. Very good option for those with a limited travel budget. […] The very first night the room was cool and the water cold, but I did not complain; the next evening, I walked into my room to find a personal letter of apology for the inconvenience of a broken boiler which was now repaired--and a complimentary bottle of wine. The small refridgerator was helpful during my long stay, as well. I definitely recommend, but with one caveat: if you are staying on a Saturday night, make sure your room is on an upper floor and perhaps not streetside because the hotel operates a night club (don't know who thought that was a good idea!) that gets very noisy and rowdy. The neighborhood felt safe and had many good restaurants, as well as a post office and grocery store very close by. Overall, pleasant and enjoyable stay. Mehr

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, completely worth for what is paid. Extremely polite staff, clean upholstery, good food. And most importantly very close to Earl's Court Tube station, made traveling very easy. Thumbs up.

having arrived ta the hotel we were given a room in this converted building that was between two old floors. There was a small window at the top of the room and at the bottom. There was no window to open in order to ventilate the room. The walls were dirty as was the carpet. During the Saturday night a strong smell of curry came from the ventilation […] in the bathroom. The landing was dark and in order to activate the automatic lights you had to virtually touch them. All in all the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The breakfast was also poor. Not a place for a comfortable few days. The hotels web site should be updated to show how bad some of the rooms are and how dirty the place is. On the web site the hotel looks ok, it's not. Mehr

Staff were very helpful and friendly. For the money, I didn't expect the five-star treatment, but improvements could be made. Rooms very small. No Iron or ironing board in room. Clean, but bedding was not changed regularly, but were made daily. Carpets were not hoovered in the two weeks of my stay, although rooms were clean and comfy otherwise. The […] central heating needs attention. Wardobes/clothes storage was minimal (non-existent in my friend's room). Room key cards failed several times and had to be re-charged by reception. They run a nightclub at the weekend, so make sure to ask for 2nd floor or higher, if you want peace and quiet. Internet access varies throughout the hotel, so it's not guaranteed in your room, although using the conference room downstairs was not a problem. On the plus side, breakfasts were good. Very near tube station (without hearing trains!) and plenty of good restaurants nearby. Mehr

The morning I left the hotel, I needed to go on line in the lounge (no wi-fi signal on the upper floors) and I had an early train out of St. Pancras station. The lovely gentleman at the front desk, rather than make me go out to buy coffee or tea at the nearby McDonald's, made me a nice pot of tea. That one kindness would make me go back to My Place […] Hotel near the Earl's Court tube station. The hotel exterior is lovely but my room was pretty darned ... well, petite and really unattractive. I wasn't familiar with the "My Place" chain so maybe I should have expected something really basic. The bathroom is so small, one have to slither around the sink to sit on the toilet. The hall was being painted on my floor but I didn't know that so I just thought the walls were disgusting. The lights are all motion sensored but they didn't all go on....etc. The most disturbing thing was the disorder in public areas, the halls by the public toilet near the lounge, for instance. The place looks like it needs a change of management and some real elbow grease!!! That said, the area is great and the price is unheard of for that convenience...so I might go there again!!! Mehr

If you're expecting the Ritz stay there otherwise this is a good clean hotel in a great central location 50 yards from the Earls Court tube station. The inclusive breakfast is a choice of toast, cereals yogurt, fruit salad. Add all this up and makes this hotel great value.. I'll be back...

This hotel needs some major work. The walls and bathroom are dirty. Also expect some cold showers. The bed is not comfortable at all and the room is tiny. Sure, the location is very convenient, the staff is friendly and the price is very reasonable, but this is by no mean a 3-star hotel (as was advertised when the room was booked).
